I was playing some music through my system this morning and suddenly realized I wasn't getting any bass and the sub didn't seem to be putting out anything.I checked my app and it shows the sub connected to my system so I disconnected the sub and tried to re-add it and it just keeps telling me there was a problem adding it to my system.I connected the included ethernet cable directly to it and connect it to my router and every time I try to disable Wi-Fi it keeps telling me to connect an Ethernet cable. 🙄I have ran a diagnostic while playing some music and here is the number 217906890 Appreciate the assistance.

This isn’t really a question, but just wanted to post my random scenario in case it helps save some other Sonos users some time and frustration. I recently ran into an issue where my Arc surround set up was randomly muting, requiring me to back out of the app I was using while watching my TV and start it over again, only to have it happen again with no rhyme or reason to it. My full setup is an Arc, a Sub, two Play Ones, and a Connect with a turntable connected to it through a preamp. The other thing to note is that I have this exact same set up in my living room and in my basement. I have an LG C1 in the living room and a CX in the basement, both connected to Apple TV 4Ks.I assumed the random audio loss had to be because of a recent firmware update to either the Sonos speakers, TVs or Apple TV that was breaking the chain/handoff between systems, so I spent about a week investigating.Then I realized that I wasn’t looking at what the Sonos app was actually

How does the Android phone connect the Sonos Arc or Beam 2 soundbar to play the music? 

Hello,I have Sonos speakers: 2 Play 1one, a Sub and a Playbar. I added the hardware called Port from Sonos so that my Sonos hardware communicates in AirPlay from Apple with my MacBook pro and my HomePod.Since the connection of this new material, the sound gets chopped when I use my speakers to listen to the sound of the television which is an LG OLED55C6V.AEK. Before the addition of this new material, I used the option: "Audio output (Optical/HDMI ARC)" of the television. The technician who installed the Port advised me to continue using this option.How should I set up my Sonos equipment so that the sound is heard clearly, without hatching?Thanks.

Is anybody else experiencing this. It only started happening yesterday and I have had my Beam for about a year. I have the Beam connected to my Samsung Smart TV using HDMI (ARC) and it happened when I started a YouTube video through the TV YouTube app. There was a loud buzzing noise over the audio. At first I thought it was a TV problem, but I switched to the TV speaker and it was fine. When I switched back to HDMI the problem persisted. I also unplugged the HDMI from the Beam and plugged it back in but the problem persisted. After rebooting the Beam (by removing and reinserting the power cord) the problem went away. However it has happened at least 3 times over the last 24 hours. It should be noted that if I stream to the beam over airplay while in this state the buzzing doesn’t happen. Also the Beam is in a surround setup with a Sub and 2 Sonos Ones. As it just started happening I wondered if it was due to a software update or something.

We have the Playbar and 2 Play 1 speakers set on the same room, but when we watch TV, the audio is terrible because the talking only comes from the playbar and the background sounds come out of the Play 1s.  Watching sports is especially awful because all you hear is the crowd, not the commentary. How do you change it so the Play 1s play the speech and not just the background noise?

Hi everyone - first time post.  Just bought Sonos Arc and Sub Mini (room isn’t overly large - 20 ft x 16ft, and have young kids so super bass isn’t critical) with Black Friday (previously just using TB speakers).  I’m not very good with technology (hence the name) and have them just out of the box.  I’m having two issues that seems to be giving me problems: I have the arc and sub mini very close beside each other, maybe 6 ft apart max.  There is absolutely no issues with my Arc and the Wifi.  But half the time it won’t “find” the submini, and the sub mini will try to connect to my neighbours network.  I don’t know why it’s affecting one and not the other.  Has anyone encountered this?  I have a band new decent wifi modem, so not sure what’s up The arc and mini appear to work GREAT with TV/movies.  My wife is really into music and so we decided to put on Spotify - strangely the minisub will work, but it will be INCREDIBLY faint.  Changing the equa

I currently have the Arc + Sub + One SL’s in my living room. Recently picked up the Amp. I would like to run (2) pairs of speakers off of the Amp. One set in the garage and one set out on the deck. Plan on using a switch. My question is - when I set up the Amp and added it, the pair of speakers I had connected to the amp started playing the music I selected. But the TV audio stopped playing on the Arc. That being said, can I run audio to the deck / garage speakers while playing a movie / watching TV on the Arc in the living room? I don’t have the Amp connected to the TV. As I don’t need or want it for anything video. Just want a music source in those other areas of the house. But won’t want to stop someone from watching a movie or TV in the living room. 

Hi all thx in advance for any direction - My setup - Vizio m65-e0 4 HDMI inputs 1 being HDMI 2.0 ARC supported 2-4 only HDMI 1.4.Google chromecast HDSonos ArcThe Arc is plugged into HDMI 1 Chromecast is plugged into HDMI 4During setup of the sound bar everything seemed to go smoothly - the Arc connected to the tv without issue.  In the system menu - CEC - both the Arc and the Chromecast are recognized.If I leave the audio to tv speakers the Chromecast will play audio out of the tv and the Google remote will control the tv volume.If I disable tv speakers in the Vizio menu the the Chromecast controls the Sonos audio and the tv recognizes the the audio is going to a different source however the Sonos puts out no audio.The Sonos app says that the tv is playing audio and allows volume control that is recognized by the tv (displayed volume up or down)So it appears everything is communicating and controlling as expected

When I watch television using internal apps on my Sony A80J, the audio on the Sonos Arc sounds fine. The volume gets loud at 12-16. When I’m watching stuff on my Apple TV 4K, the audio on the Sonos seems to be lower in volume. An example would be when I watch Moon Knight on Disney+ on the ATV4K. I have to put the Sonos volume up to 40 to hear things. Why’s it do this?

Hiive got a pair of Fives for music listening and have purchased an Arc and sub for tv in the same room. Just a question - if I wanted to move the sub between the two setups each time I use them would I need to redo Trueplay, or does it hold onto that tuning?Thanks  

I am trying to add a Ray onto an existing system that has a combination of old and new Sonos products.I have a Play 5 (Gen 1) and a Play 5 (Gen 2) and a Sonos One.  So far with my existing kit, I have been able to use the Sonos S1 app to control them all and it’s been fine.Trying to add the new Ray onto the system and the Sonos S1 app says the Ray is not compatible and I have to use the new Sonos app… but if I use the new Sonos app, it says I won’t be able to use my existing Play 5 (Gen 1).I don’t want to have to get rid of my Gen 1, nor do I want to do the Sonos upgrade.How can I make the Ray work?

I have my Sonos ARC connected to my Roon software as an endpoint. For a reason unknown to me, the TV the soundbar is connected to does not show up in my Roon system as a display (I assume it is Cromecast), yet my other apps (ones with the casting logo) work just fine. Is there something in the Sonos system that is denying the Chromecast connection? Or is it something else? Thanks!

My 2 week old Sonos Arc died yesterday. Used it during the afternoon without issues and at night, when I connected the TV again, it not longer registered. Followed all the instructions ( rebooting the router, reconnecting the power cable, etc.. ) and nothing worked. The Sonos Arc is completely dead - touching the buttons doesn’t do anything. Sub + Sonos One SL are still powered on and register when I touch the buttons - no power issues at all. All my home theater devices are connected to power surge protected extension cords. The TV is connected to the same extension as the Arc - so is the sub. All are working just fine. My Sonos Arc was a refurbished model - maybe it was a dud? Tried to reach the support team with no success - Live chat says no representatives are available and phone number for Portugal is disconnected.How can I get help? I can’t seem to even find an e-mail contact. Hello!Allow me to start mentioning that I am aware of similar threads in the community (this forum and reddit) but none of the proposed solutions worked for me. :(I have been using ARC for over a year without any issue. I recently added a Sub (gen3) and the result is somewhat disappointing: The sub is too quiet. I have just purchased a Sonos Ray for my TV.  The TV is connected to the internet by an ethernet cable.  I don’t have a WiFi network as that has proved unreliable in my situation.  So, I want to use ethernet to connect the Ray.My Android phone is 6 years old running on Android v5.1, so it definately can’t run the Sonos App 2!      I’ll need a new phone.But before I buy the phone I’d like to know exactly how App 2 goes about setting up a wired Ray.  Everything I’ve found so far on the Web relates to WiFi setups.  Can someone please point me to a step by step explanation of a wired setup?  I could then make sure that I get the appropriate phone and ethernet setup at the TV end.Thanks in advance,Noel84

I just bought the arc kit with sub gen 3 one sl x2 and the arc sound bar.Im actually watching Guardian of galaxy 2 on disney+ that is in dolby atmos.The thing is that on my sonos app its saying Pcm multichannel dolby 5.1.I have a Qled samsung Q60 70 inchs 2021.Its compatible dolby atmos and earc.So y is it in pcm multichannel 5.1 dolby???

Hello,I got yesterday my new sub mini and wanted to integrate it in my existing home theater setting consisting in a Playbase and 2 One SL.After setting up the sub mini to my WiFi, it downloaded an new firmware but when i tried to integrate it via the Sonos app in my exisiting setting i got an error message, when i retried it, the picture showed now 2 sub minis in my system but i still got the same error message. Current setup: Sonos Beam connected via ethernet.  All other devices connected over SonosNet.Recently got a new router.  The modem stayed the same so I wouldn’t expect any issues.  Everything was working fine until this morning when my Sonos app couldn’t find any devices.  The ‘System’ button is dithered and it states ‘Unable to find your Sonos system’.Troubleshooting steps so far:Confirmed Beam connected over ethernet is showing as an online and connected device on through my modem. Unplugged all devices except for Beam. Tried the walkthrough steps on Sonos app to reconfigured the plugged in Beam and it states it can’t find the product.Any help would be appreciated.

I have my optical out hooked into my receiver with surround sound.I have my Sonos Beam Hooked into my HDMI ARC. But for some reason I am not getting any output on the Beam.When I go to my Samsung TV under connected devises I can see the Beam as Connected.So my question is will the TV send the audio signal to both the receiver and the Beam or just one or the other. If it will send the audio signal to both, what am I doing wrong. 

We have an open-plan living/dining/kitchen space.  On one side I have an Arc, with two PLAY:1 speakers as surrounds. I have a Samsung TV with eArc, all that works perfectly.For some time I have had a Sonos speaker in the kitchen area so that when cooking, I can group it to the Arc and hear the TV sound without having to turn the living room speakers way up. It’s been working fine for months… but not now.I am getting dropouts so badly that I cannot bear to use the kitchen speaker. I simply cannot figure out what has changed. My WiFi coverage is good (I have Unifi boosters around the flat). The kitchen speaker (a Sonos One) works perfectly when solo or grouped playing other sources.I have played around with the Group Audio delay, it doesn’t help, and as the speaker is effectively in the same room as the Arc+Surrounds it’s’ not very desirable introducing a delay. I’ve tried using a Sonos Roam instead of the One. Same behaviour.Any suggestions on how to troub

Hello,I have 2 play 1s, a play 3, a move, and an arc connected to my system currently and can't for the life of me get my Gen 3 Sub added. Router is an Asus Zenwifi It "connects" and then sits at the connecting to wifi screen for a while then says it's added to the system but may not show up and to cycle the power if it isn't showing to complete the setup.Well I've done that and it's nowhere to be found. I have tried factory resets and repeating the process to no avail. Rebooting the router doesn't seem to do anything either.. "Find missing products" says it seems that all devices are available...I have also tried connecting an ethernet cable between the sub and router and completing setup this way but the sub doesn't even get discovered when I do this??Getting a little frustrated and looking for any ideas you have.
