sub sound delay

My Sonos sub sound is slightly delayed (lags behind the other speaker sound)… maybe less than half a second, but noticeably detracts from the listening quality. My 4 wall speakers and sub are all hard wired into the same Sonos Amp.

I have tried to retune using Trueplay, reconnected, and tried the wireless setup, but all without success. Any ideas?

Please clarify… do you have four in-wall passive speakers and a third-party subwoofer connected to a Sonos Amp? What Sonos device is the Sonos Sub bonded to? What exactly are you listening to on the speakers wired to the Amp?

I have 4 Sonos wall speakers. The Sonos 2nd gen Sub is paired to these 4 speakers. All are wired to Sonos Amp. All music has sub sound delay that is noticeable.

How exactly is the Sonos Sub “wired” to the Sonos Amp? It shouldn’t be “wired” to the Amp. The Sub is designed to communicate wirelessly with the Amp. Read more here:

And just for extra clarity, you have four passive Sonos by Sonance speakers cable connected to the Amp?

@mshugg Have you tried following @GuitarSuperstar ’s advice to connect the Sub wirelessly to the Amp? See https://support.sonos.com/article/set-up-your-sonos-sub

Wifi should be turned on on the Amp and the Sub.
