So I recently completed my sonos surround.  I have the Arc, era 300's in rear and dual subs.   I was only using one sub but bought the second one to "finish" the system.  I haven't noticed anything great with the second sub? I tuned the system with trueplay but the bass sounds ehhhh.  On the app I have to turn the sub limit to plus 8 to get anything out of it.  Is this normal?  I see all the great reviews with dual subs, but I'm either missing something or have a settings issue.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the full sonos theater set up.  Arc, era 300's, dual subs.   Playing music through this sucks.  The Arc can't hang with the era 300s and in settings you csn use a slider for surround (different for TV and music) but then it distorts the audio b/c Arc is still playing main channel.  Is there an easy way to maybe ungroup the system and regroup era 300s and subs only for music?  Or can Sonos make the slider for the Arc itself vs the surrounds and have the ability to quiet the Arc when music is playing? 

I need to connect my playbase to a new wifi network in a new flat. Its failing to connect. If I could remember correctly, the playbase only connects on 2.4GHz but my wifi has the same SSID for both 2.4 & 5 GHz. Is there any way to connect it without having to split up the SSIDs? I don’t want to use sonosnet as the wifi singal doesn’t reach everywhere and I’ll already need to get a mesh system. I’ve also had issues with sonos net in the past and since switching to my routers wifi, everything was working fine (at the old place)

Hello,I would like to wall mount my pair of SonoS 300 as surround.The couch is attached to the wall.The distance from listeners ears are 170cm on the side and “ear hight”.Please suggest me the best “facing “positioning:-parallel to the TV wallor-lightly inclined towards the listener (in this case the inner drivers will make the sound bounce to the wall  before reaching the listeners ears). thank you

I think I already know the answer to this: NONaievely, I added a Mini Sub to my Gen 2 Beam thinking that’s all I needed to upgrade my tv viewing experience. The Beam is connected directly to the TV via HDMI eARC.Here’s me thinking that the Beam could project wirelessly to the Mini Sub, but now that I write this all down I beginning to see how silly that is.So the next question is: what component am I missing to make this all work?To make matters more difficult, when the house was being built, I was able to run the cabling in wall to keep things clean from the tv to the sub. i’ve got a cabinet underneath with cabling from tv to PS5 so i could run extra cable but damn these activities are fiddlyPhoto is TV/Beam/Cabinet with Mini Sum elsewhere in room 

Boy am I confused!Here is my story:I want to buy a Sonos ARC and a new Sony OLED TV.I want to get rid of my existing 13 year old Pioneer receiver which is powering a Paradigm Millenia 5.1 speaker system. The Paradigm system has:5 satellite speakers. I use 3 for Front, Center, Left and 2 for Rear surrounds.I don’t want to spend any extra $s on new surrounds or a subwoofer.I also have 2 Sonos Connect Amps (the original ones).Is there a way to combine the following into a new system:ARCConnect ampsSome or all of the Paradigm satellites and the powered sub.I hope I have made myself clear.  

Been using Sonos Arc for close to a month and just today morning heard the infamous popping sound!  Setup - Sonos Arc connected to LG C2 to HDMI 2 port [eARC], content via Apple TV.  Restarted the TV and everything worked fine but I am wondering if this is going to be on going pain? Just few days back picked up a Sonos Sub Mini and I am really worried!  Sonos team/ community, thoughts?  Please note - PS5 is connected to the TV too, but wasn’t used to pay content. 

First time Sonos guy here (as soon as I receive the order...lol).  Can’t wait!!  I have a Beam Gen 2 on order, as well as a Sub G3, 2 x Era 100s, and a Move.  But I need a longer HDMI/ARC cord than the one provided (4’ 9” I believe).  An 8’ would be perfect.  There are many Amazon options such as 8K HDMI ARC/eARC 2.1.  Just wondering if anyone has experienced compatibility issues with a non-Sonos HDMI like this one...on the Beam Gen 2.  Everything I’ve read points to a positive outlook.  My TV is not 8K, but that does not seem to affect this cable option.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Can the power light be shut off or dimmed at night for sleep, I have the the Sonos power bar on our bedroom tv, the light is so bright in the dark with the tv off for sleepthank you

Hello all,At https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/surround-sound-guidelines-and-limitations there is the statement “related models like One and One SL can be used together as surround speakers” without specifying which exact models are related. From that article, and searching through the forums, it appears to me that the following two sets of models are considered related, that is, you can mix them together for surround: One (Gen 2), One (Gen 1), One SL (rev 1 and 2)(forums seem to suggest Gen 1 and Gen 2 can be mixed, and article says One SL is related) SYMFONISK Floor Lamp, SYMFONISK Table Lamp (Gen 2)(explicitly noted in footnote 2 of the article) SYMFONISK Bookshelf (Gen 1), SYMFONISK Bookshelf (Gen 2)(not sure of this; basing this on forum reports that you can stereo pair them) Not related for surround purposes, despite having the same speaker hardware (basing this on forum reports that you can’t stereo pair them):Play:5 (Gen 2), Five Is this correct? Moved from Canada to Mexico and Sonos was disconnected for about 2 months. When trying to setup my arc and mini sub again the Sonos app would advised there was no wifi when there definitely was. To fix this I ended up deleting the app completely from my iPhone and reinstalling it as well as disconnect VPN. It now recognized there was wifi and it connected with the arc but could not connect the sub mini. Tried factory reset as in previous posts and it worked however it would not pair with the arc. How I ended fixing it was deleting the mini sub from “Living Room” in the app and the reinstalling it back in that room. Everything works fine now. Hope this helps.

I want to find out if there are any streaming devices that will provide Atmos sound over my second generation beam without having to purchase a pass-through device. I made the mistake of getting the Apple TV not knowing that it requires the earc input to get Atmos without some secondary device like the HDfury. Are there any devices like the Nvidia shield or something else that will play Atmos quality sound with a tv that has only arc, not earc?

I have an amp 2 ft away from my arc, with the amp controlling two rear embedded speakers. I've tried just about everything, including factory resets. If they stay decoupled, they both work. As soon as I try to add the amp as a surround system for the Arc, it fails to connect "Surrounds couldn't be added" and the Amp immediately becomes disconnected in my system.  Both are connected via WiFi; previously the amp was on Ethernet but with the v14 update, surround doesn't work. Thanks in advance for any/all help.

The rubber feet to my sub fell off. How do I glue them back on so that they stay on? This is the 2nd generation sub, I think.  Thanks.

Will my ARC fit in front of my shelf factory base? If not what do you recommend I lift the base with? 

Hey all, We moved into a home that had 5 sonos ceiling speakers installed but was not connected to an amp. The builders told us we’d have to use our own receiver. We got one, and the 5 channel ceiling speakers work great. I want to add the gen 3 sub/s but am unsure how to tie the sub/s in (or even if its possible). Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Where do I find someone to install a sound bar Beam?

 I know that the front tweeter is disengaged when the Era 300s are set up as rear speakers in a surround sound configuration (which needs to be changed for stereo music playback)  but a big issue I have is when playing regular TV only one of the two side tweeters are working. And the tweeters that are working on each speaker are the ones pointed out and not in towards my listening/sitting position. This seems backwards. I’ve tried to set it up three times with no change. Is this correct??? Also there has to be a way for the front firing tweeter to be used when playing stereo music. For stereo music I much prefer the sound of my ones as rear speakers and it’s not even close. It also seems like my SUB is outputting a lot less sound as well since I added my era 300s no matter if I’m playing a movie or listening to music. Can someone at Sonos address this? I appreciate any help as when they are playing Dolby Atmos content they are amazing for music and movies. 

Hello. Good morning. I wanted to make the following query: I have a Sonos audio system made up of: sound bar Ray, two Sonos One rear speakers and the Sonos submini. I wanted to incorporate an Era 300 into that system to have the Dolby Atmos experience. Is it possible? And where would it be better to place it? It is a small room of no more than 8m2. On my Samsung smart TV under the Sonos icon, there are about SIX folders that popped up for music, photos, etc. I don’t want these folders there. HOW do I delete them? Anyone know? Help!!! 

I am planning on running a 75 foot Fiber Optic HDMI cable between my patio TV’s ARC input and my Sonos Amp inside.  The cable I bought is unidirectional and so the side you hook up to what is important.  My electrician will be running this through the walls so don’t want to make a mistake. I have 2 sides, one says “Source” and one says “Display”.  In my case, I am not passing video so I am a bit confused as the TV can be the source and the display. I believe the “Display” side should be the TV in this case but want to triple check with anyone who has run this sort of configuration before

Hi,I have a switch right beside me router, and I got 2 Ethernet wires to bring me Internet from the switch to the farthest side of my home. At that place, I have to connect a Sonos Playbar, a recent 4K TV, 4K bluray player and the Bell fibe receiver for TV channels. So I’m short of two Ethernet connections. I wish to wire-connect everything. What is the best way to do it? If I buy a second switch, how should I wire it? If I can connect only one item in the first switch, which one should it be, considering all others will be connected in the second switch? What should I connect in the second Ethernet outlet of the Playbar?Thanks a lot!!

I hired an av installer to setup my house that we were remolding.  In one of the rooms I told him that I wanted to setup a surround sound home theater.  He suggested and installed 4 x ceiling speakers and two sonos amps.  It has been a few months and I never felt like it sounded correctly, so I found an iOS app that would play test surround sound by playing to each speaker.  After doing this I discovered that the rear speakers play when sound is playing to all the speakers, but will not only play the left rear or right rear.  I don’t know if this is possible to have two amps in a surround sound setup.  If it is possible I haven’t been able to figure out to set this up.  Currently I have an eARC connection going from my TV to the front amp.  When I add the rear amp for surround sound it still plays the left/right rear sounds through the left/right front speakers.  This makes me feel like it isn’t possible to setup two amp in a surround sounds and that my best option is to add soundbar (

Hi guys,Got a Playbar connected to TV and the Sub connected but trying to work out how to connect my 2 Era 300’s as rear surround sound speakers but can’t work out how to do it.I’ve set them up and thought I’d added them to the ‘living room’ where the Playbar and Sub are connected in the app but the only option I’m given in that room is to add the Amp as surrounds which seems weird. In the App I’ve now got the following but can’t work out how to have the Playbar, Sub and 2 Era 300’s working together:Rooms (since adding)Living Room (+Sub) which has the Playbar Living Room (L&R) which has the Era 300’s Living Room (Fives) (L&R)Not massively worried about adding the Fives as use those for music more than anything but surely there must be a way of adding the Era 300’s into my TV sound setup?I hope someone can help as doing my head in! 😉Cheers,Jon
