Home theater

I know the arc doesn’t have a line in. I was wondering how how I can connect the turntable to play through the home theater.   So far I have only been able to connect to the era 300 by line and use them as a stereo pair but I want the full effect of the complete home theater. Do I need to buy an amp or a port? or am I able to do this with what I have already 

Hi all, recently had this setup working but now have physically moved the AMP in the room and it's now not working at all, have tried everything with no success!Playbar - Connected via Ethernet cable to router, working as anticipatedAMP - Connected wirelessly to router, working independently of surround setupHave tried deleting and adding the AMP to the 'room', restarting both devices, factory resetting the AMP and adding back into the overall setup. Playbar is WiFi 'on', as is the AMPCannot get the playbar and AMP to work together as they once did, any ideas would be much appreciated?I've got all devices on WM:0 and they are all stating connected.

Hallo, can I combine my Playbase with a Connect Amp Gen2 (the white one) to create a 5.1 System? The Amp shut be connected to small speaker for rear an a sub. thanks for help

My Magic Remote for my 2016 LG B6 used to control my Beam Gen 1 volume just fine (connected via optical because I need all of the HDMI ports for devices). Out of the blue it no longer does so and I’m forced to use the iOS app or the physical buttons on the Beam. I’ve tried following all kinds of guides to no avail. Sonos is still missing from the manufacturer list on the B6 when you try Device Connections setup too, so all the guides suggesting that step are no good. Tried tricking it with the old Phillips/remote type 4, that doesn’t work either  Only things that changed recently:Updated iOS and the Sonos app on my phone. Update the system firmware through the Sonos app and re-ran Trueplay. Everything is still physically plugged in to the same locations  Any ideas or a known fix?  

Hello,I currently have the ARC w/ 2 subs & 2 One SL’s for my home theater setup, used for tv/movies/gaming but not for music.  I was wondering if the shape of my room would be OK to upgrade the back surrounds to Era 300’s.  The TV with ARC is 14’ in front of the couch.I think I would need to invert them on the wall but any feedback or ideas would be appreciated.Side question - I currently have 1 sub to the left of the TV facing the couch and 1 sub placed behind the couch for some added bass feeling.  Would it be better to have both sub’s by the TV (one left / one right) instead of the one behind the couch?

On My Beam Gen 2, is the speaker supposed to stay on ALL the time? Can it turn off?

 I would like to put in a place a Dolby Atmos sound system for a 98" TV going into a cinema room. Sonos eARC has been recommended but I would like to know if the rear speakers in the set up can be Sonos ceiling speakers as opposed to freely placed ones. Many thanks,N

Hey all ! I own 1x ARC, 1x SUB, 2x ONE SL and 2x ERA 300, I found out that i can’t add more than 2 surrounds speakers in Sonos’s ARC setup,Some topics talked about adding my 2 extra surrounds speakers in an other group in sonos’s app and sync the 2 group, my first question is, has anyone already tried it and does it work in a HT setup/TV use ?  Whatever the answer is, my real issue is about surrounds speakers placement and my couch  Room Layout :You’ll find on the picture bellow how is set my room with ARC, SUB & 2x ONE SL : The couch is approximately 3.20m long on the part facing TV and 3m long on the other side,I can’t really get it off the wall, since the room isnt that big and walls are kinda blocking the way, it’ll just look weird, The ARC is bellow the wall mounted 55” TV, the SUB in the corner and the 2 ONE SL are facing the TV and are on floor stands, What would be the best placement for the ERA 300 and the ONE SL (if I can find a way to add it in the HT setup) ? I don’t remember my exact setup, but from my troubleshooting I think this will help some users.Setup is: Samsung A95 TV, AppleTV 4K, Arc, Sub mini, 2x One SL (rear).I had problems with 5.1 sound from Netflix, HBO, etc. when the soundtrack was 5.1. Strangely enough when sound was Atmos everything worked fine.I have done much of the troubleshooting tips, removing surround speakers, disconnect Arc, reset system (speakers), reconnect everything. Configure ntwork. Reset settings on TV. Reconnecting everything in a specific order, new HDMI cables. The lot.In the end, my solution was simple.Solution:Make sure your TV is set to eArc and PassThru for the HDMI to Arc - This is the correct setting.On the AppleTV:When watching something with 5.1 sound:Settings → Video and Sound → Format: Set this to Dolby Digital 5.1When watching something with Atmos:Settings → Video and Sound → Format: Set to Atmos(I have norwegian language, so path might not be correct!)This will hopefully remove the stuttering/

My Gen 3 Sub was working perfectly until about 15 minutes or so ago.Reflects as ‘connected’ in app. Reset modem and then power cycled the sub but still no luck; it just does not have any sound output/drivers do not move when playing heavy bass when I was testing it. Oddly the app was able to detect and connect to it again but there’s still no sound coming out of it.Tried TruePlay and it failed because it was “unable to hear one of my speakers”.System set up is Arc/One x2/Sub.Any help would be most appreciated; my diagnostics number is ***.

 I have a Sonos Sub Gen 3 and due to a voltage problem the fuse blew. When I disassembled it, the flex cable with part number 170-01366 that goes from the power source to the main board broke. Does anyone know where I can get this part? It is impossible to repair it.

Volume control only does not work indirectly on Verizon voice remote paired with Sony A95K and Sonos ARC connected via HDMI/eARC.  It will change the volume however when pointed directly at the ARC.  Other functions on the remote work indirectly such as changing the channel.

I was stumped today, iOS updated to 15.7.1, and trying a system update to 15.7 from 15.6.I got an update error, more details showed an error 30 on the Sub, tried again, failed.Restarted Arc and Sub, failed again, then iOS was showing status ‘updating’ with blue icon, now stuck updating. light was off on Sub, ie not flashing as does normally when updating.Opened Sonos Desktop App, about my system, all on 15.7 apart from Sub on 15.6. I assume Network OK, as I could ping all Sonos devices with  sub 5ms response, also able to access Network Matrix on Sub and Arc. App said there was an update, tried again failed.Time to call Sonos support, so they could investigate diagnostic 😀They suggested cause was a network issue, as is normally the case for any Sonos issue.I wasn’t so sure, as I could ping all Sonos devices with latency <5ms, they have reserved IP addresses.I managed to get the update installed eventually, involved restarting Arc + Sub several times, then disconnecting and reconnec

Jusqu’à maintenant nous n’avions aucun problème pour contrôler le son de notre playbar sonos avec la télécommande Samsung. Maintenant tout est toujours connecté, lorsqu’on monte et descend le volume avec la télécommande il y a bien une réponse car on voit sur la TV le voyant du son monter ou descendre mais le volume n’est pas modifié.savez vous ce qu’il faut faire ?

Hi, it looks the option in my sonos app the "connect second Sub" is missing. It was there before. How is it possible to connect my second Sub if the option is not there in the app.

I am wanting to put a tv in the upstairs sitting area where we have sonos speakers. BUT I want a 3rd party sub, I have the gen3 and really am disappointed with it. I have an AMP running two Klipsch aw650s that are outside, for now, they are coming inside for the winter. I would like to mount the Klipsch in the upstairs sitting area and connect them to the amp, tv AND a svs sub that is also in the works. With hdmi arc, can I run that from the tv to the amp, then use the sub out for the sub, and use the Klipsch speakers? Will there be a delay or will it all work in time with the TV? I have two ones and two fives in this room (24’x12’). I am thinking of also taking the fives and putting them somewhere else and replace them with the Klipsch for the winter. Doing this, would I be able to go tv to AMP to the Klipsch and svs sub, and the ones for tv?Sorry if this is confusing, but I don't want a sonos soundbar because I know I can't use the svs sub with that, and would like to sell my gen3 to

I have two in-ceiling speakers hooked up to a connect:amp. The connect amp and the beam are both plugged into the router directly. I am able to successfully add the connect:amp as surrounds to the beam setup but I am not able to get any sound out of the surrounds. Any idea?

When I play Dvds The Sound Is Slower that The People On The Screen talking . How Do I Fix This . Im Using A Projector And A Dvd With audio cable To Line In on Sonos  

I have a Sonos ARC which I understand was recently updated to play DTS.  My TV is a Vizio PX75-G1 with ARC, not eARC, where Sonos is connected.  On Blu Ray and 4k Blu Ray discs the Sonos downgrades to stereo no matter what I try (including setting to TV to Auto, PCM, Bitstream, Dolby Digital).  My player is Oppo with audio output set to Auto.  

Purchased 75” Samsung Tv and new Sonos Arc. Geek Squad set up.  Not getting Dolby Atmos to work. Spent many hours on phone with Sonos to be told system working fine. Spent just as many hours with Samsung.  When Arc is connected through E-Arc the Dolby Atmos on the TV comes up as function not available.  When we disconnect the E Arc cable and unplug the Sonos the function is available on Samsung. Each company blames the other.  What are we doing wrong and which company is responsible?

Hi, my LG tv has auto updated its WebOS and after moving house I can no longer link the remote to the playbar, the old way of selecting ‘Pioneer’ from the universal remote option on the TV seems to have been removed.the TV model is: 65UN7300PTC and it is running webOS 5.4.3-36 Annoyingly I can link the LG remote to the playbar while the TV is off, but when the TV is switched on the remote seems to switch back to RF and no longer works. does anyone have any idea how to sort this one?  

I recently bought a Sonos Arc, upgrading from the Beam Gen 2. It’s amazing on Atmos, but non Atmos content just doesn’t have the same power of Atmos content. Like, the sub barely works and the audio is just sort of weak. 

Hi - I just received the Arc and new 300s yesterday.  I installed each of them separately into my sonos system in the same room.  However, in the app, when I try to “add surrounds” to my Arc, the 300s do not appear as an option and instead the only options are my AMPs (which are in different rooms).  Any advice? 

Hi,  I'm moving into a new place where the developer and working with an audio company who specialise in Sonos. They are offering to install the Sonos Amp with the Arc soundbar and sonnance wall and ceiling speakers with an LG TV.  I already have a 65 inch Samsung QN800A 8k TV and Samsung HW-N950 soundbar. So my quotation is,  would my current TV and soundbar be compatible with the Sonos Amp and sonnance speakers? ThanksMichael

I’m setting up a Sonos system, primarily for movies, music secondary. I am particularly trying to “tune” for Dolby Atmos. The system will be Arc, x2 Era 300’s, Sub Gen 3.The question is regarding the Era 300’s. They will be 5 feet (150 cm) behind the back of the couch on the top of some bookshelves, about 6 feet (180 cm) high. Space to each side and behind isn’t an issue. Distance to ceiling is, well, borderline, depending exactly how measured.I’ve read the Era 300’s should be mounted upside down if within 2 feet (610 cm) of the ceiling. However, the Trueplay tuning, which I love, hasn’t yet been implemented for the Era 300’s while upside down (according to what I’ve read here).My distance … exactly 2 feet (610 cm) from the top of the shelves to the ceiling. However, if I measure from the top of the speakers, which I suspect is correct, then I have about 15” (450 cm).So, given the above, including I’d like to use Trueplay if I can, should I still mount the Era 300’s inverted?I’ll try b
