Since upgrading to 15.10 getting audio dropouts on playbar+sub+play one surrounds.  This is on tv audio, however it has been dropping in and out when grouping with other devices also, these are far more severe drops where audio will not play for ten seconds then it will join again.  have taken diagnostics of tv audio issues1987513514 also to note, can have the audio issues replicated by pressing volume up or volume down on remote/iOS app 

So I have a Beam Gen 2 hooked up to an LG G2. 4K Fire Stick in HDMI 1, Beam in HDMI 2 (e-Arc), PS5 in HDMI 3 and Nintendo Switch in HDMI 4.If I have the Fire Stick set to “best audio possible” I lose surround audio on the Switch (stereo works fine) and I lose 5.1 Blu Ray audio on the PS5 (game and menu audio not affected). If I set the Fire Stick to PCM I get audio on Blu Rays and surround on Switch, but I lose the surround on Switch if the PS5 is on the main menu or playing a game, but not if it’s playing a 5.1 Blu Ray…I think it has something to do with Atmos, as the Fire Stick is constantly on and constantly trying to put out Atmos if it can when on the “best possible” setting and the PS5 puts out Atmos on the menu and in games, but not on Blu Rays that don’t have an Atmos track. It’s like if the Beam is putting out Atmos on one input, that’s the only kind of audio it can put out in any other input other than standard stereo?it’s not a huge issue, there’s not a lot of Atmos content

Hi, we are building a media room of 12x18 ft (WxD) and I am wondering which products I should buy. Is the Beam V2 enough, or do I need to go to the Arc? Do I need the large Sub or does the small one work just as well? Would be awesome to get some recommendations. Thanks!  

Hello, I used to have my two sonos 1 SL speakers connected to the wifi and now that I moved to a new house I’m trying to connect them to the new wifi and even thoufh the app locates the wifi it can’t connect.

Hi, love this sonos beam.  What a issue connecting.  With help of this site, finally was able to connect via Earc hdmi!!!  I still have no volume control via sony remote.  It's  RF remote.  Is there a setting I'm overlooking?I can't connect my remote with Sonos app.  Bravia Sync does not see Sonos.

I’ve got a new sonos Arc that is connected via HDMI/Wifi.  I also have a sonos AMP connected to two ceiling speakers that is connected by Ethernet.  When I play music to the AMP before connecting as surrounds, the speakers work normally.  When I pair the AMP as “surrounds” to my ARC, and try to run true play, I get the “Lost Speaker” one of your speakers couldn’t be heard…” error.   I ran a diagnostic and submitted it - 535901999 But can’t get through to support.  My wireless setup is a ASUS Mesh netowork with Ethernet backhaul to each mesh node.  

Hello,I just bought an Arc. It got me thinking about how I can build a surround system, so I found out about the Amp. I’d love to run this setup:  Arc - no Ethernet, connected to a (slightly older) TV via HDMI-ARC  Amp - no Ethernet, powering:               2 matched Denon bookshelf speakers               1 third party sub1. Is this possible?2. Assuming I can run the diagnostics on either an Android or an iOS device, can I get Trueplay tuning in this setup?Thanks,~alex

Just got my Arc and did a temporary setup last night with it sitting on a box below TV.  Am looking to do a permanent wall mount soon.The Sonos guidelines state pretty clearly (and in multiple locations) that the Arc should be placed/mounted “at least” 4 inches from the bottom of the TV.Why 4 inches?  Is this for thermal reasons?  Or sonic quality reasons? Or something else?  TVs are not CRT any longer so couldn’t be for the old-school image EM disruption reason, LOL. Is it to provide ample space for the upward-firing Atmos speakers?  I’d like to mount the Arc to the wall below the TV, but closer than 4 inches between top of Arc and bottom of TV.  If this is truly a naughty no-no, I will have to move my TV up higher on the wall, which I don’t want to do for viewing purposes, and also because it’s a pain - already mounted in place for years with lag screws and a precisely located cut-out in the wall for cables, etc.The only reason I can think of that would give me pause is if it’s a the

Hi All,I have just gotten a Beam gen 2, and went through the app setup process, and the app just blank not loading anything.the product is working by it self but the app is not working with the systems etc.When I look at my system tab in the app, it’s says my product is ‘not registered’, and then when I click on that and go through the process it says I have to factory reset the product (which I’ve obviously tried already) to no luck. Have tried the following factory reset of Sonos product, reset WiFi uninstalling / updating app new account / setup process for my new product Live chat unfortunately wasn’t helpful Any Help would be appreciated,Cheers 

I have a Sonos Beam soundbar hooked upp to my Samsung Smart TV.  I would like a use it for various other stereo components with Optical outputs. If the Beam ONLY has ONE optical input, how would I achieve this??

Hi,Just got myself an ARC and a Sub Mini.When toggling the Loudness/speech enhancement/night mode on/off, nothing’s happening.Do I need eARC to enjoy this feature?I do have HDMI arc, but sonos could not find it, so I had to use the optical cable.That’s okay, but just wondering if it has something to do with the HDMI.Having said that, the loudness didn’t work in the store when they were demostrating it for me.And that was through eARC.Any tips?:)Ken

Hi All Having issues, I used to run a beam gen 2 with a sub gen3 and 2x1sls. Trueplay ran fine no issues, I upgraded my beam to an arc yesterday and since upgrading I can no longer run trueplay as I get the error that the room is to loud.  The weird thing is if I remove the sub from the group trueplay works fine, it only doesn't work when the sub is connected. But this was never an issue before installing the arc. I have tried a full hard reset on all devices deleted the app and rebooted my ipad to no avail.  Called support and being told it could be because I have more than one router but I don't see how that's causing this.  Any help would be appreciated 

Hello All, I’m looking to mount my Era 300’s upside down, at ceiling height.Before I start ripping my walls apart and drilling holes has anyone already done this that is able to share photos of their Installation? / does anyone have any advise for me before mounting them upside down? Here is a photo of my Era 300’s currently, yes I know they’re not positioned correctly. TIA,Jamie

I bought an ‘immersive set’ through a black Friday deal and I am delighted with my beam sound bar & mini-sub. However I haven’t opened the Era100s yet as surrounds as i thought I would try my old gen 2 Play:1s first.  I didn’t know these could be used until after ordering - bad research!it seems the surround set up leaves the Era 100s rather ‘dumb’ - and the sound quality improvements over the play’s just isn’t material in this arrangement.  Would folks agree? It seems like a waste.  I’m tempted to pass on the Era’s.

Hi,I have added a couple of One SL to my Beam Gen 2 to complement the surround system, whenever I try to play any movie or media trough any streaming service the quality sound available is not the optimal or the highest available, i.e. HBO Max has Atmos but the most that I'm able to get is 5.1, Disney offers 5.1 but I'm only getting Stereo; Beam is connected via HDMI eARC on a Sony TV KD-65X75K (I'm aware that does not has Atmos, but prior to adding the One SL I was able to get Atmos). Thanks.

We just bought an Arc for this TV. (Excuse the Christmas decorations.)Would it be possible to mount the arc upside UNDER the mantle. See blue arrows. Or should it set on top of mantle like normal people? (Yellow)  

My TLC GoogleTV  remote will not control Ray volume 

I have a Panasonic ptar1000u, a ps5, a cable box, and an Xbox series x.  I want to be able to hook them all up using the Sonos arc, and be able to get use of Dolby atmos when watching content on my Xbox or ps5.  I’ve found so many conflicting experiences online.   Just looking for a little help.  I thought if I got an av receiver capable of outputting earc I could just hook all my components to it and then hook it to the Sonos arc, but it appears that won’t work.  Any suggestions would be awesome, I’d hate to return my new arc.  

Hello guys,I have a set of era 100s with a sub mini and am planning to get Beam sound bar to improve the surrounding quality. However, I mainly use projector to watch movies and series. I wonder is it possible to group them a a whole and use the ear 100’s Bluetooth to connect the system where the rest speaker are receiving data through Wi-Fi connection. Or the Beam will become the master device for the group and there is no way to use the Bluetooth on ear 100? If that is the case, would you think the next gen Beam will come with Bluetooth combability? Thanks in advance!

Sent diagnostics # 173009449 When playing music with AirPlay through my Playbase, Gen 3 Subwoofer and 2 Play:1’s I get persistent drops of music and stutters.  All the other Sonos models play fine except for this one system/group.  Have a Gen 1 Beam plugged in to ethernet with wifi enabled with 2 Play:1’s and it’s just fine.  All other Sonos products use Wifi.

I finally took the plunge, and purchased an ARC (being delivered this Sunday), as well as two ERA300’s. At home, I have two wifi networks, the first is a university network, eduroam with WPA2 enterprise, login goes through username and password, which from what I read here will be difficult.The second network, is for all the apartments in the complex specifically, also managed by the university, but a WPA2ac personal. I have a custom password to connect to this network, but do not have access to the router etc which is centrally managed. However, I do have an ethernet port in the apartment that connects to the same network. I’m very friendly with our IT team, so if any information on the set-up would be helpful, I can ask them! With the WPA2ac personal network I previously had very good experience, in the sense that our SmartTV is connected to it with no trouble whatsoever. Hello community,I have the following setup in my living room:Beam Sub Mini 2 Era 100Beam and Sub are using Ethernet. Era 100 are using Ethernet through Anker USB-C - Ethernet adapters.They are all in the same very good local wired network.I’ve tried to disable Wifi on all the devices who had the option (Beam & Sub Mini) but the result was very bad. The sound was very bad, intermittent.I’ve tried to ask the support if that was normal and they told me to switch On Wifi on all devices to fix the issue, without explaining me why.I’ve always tried to favor Ethernet over Wifi at home, for various reasons, including performance and stability.Is there any good reason for an Ethernet-only setup not to work?Am I alone to think that this setup should work even better on Ethernet and that we should be allowed to switch Wifi Off when all devices are connected through Ethernet?Thanks a lotBenjamin

Hi, I've got Sky Q and a Sonos beam with a 5 and its been working fine for ages, yesterday I bought a another 5 to pair up with the existing set up but now my satellite signal has disappeared. (I can still access Netflix & recordings, just not live TV) Looking online it looks like other people have had issues with SkyQ/Sonos.Has anyone else had issues and managed to solve them?

Hi, my question concerns hdmi arc and hdmi mhl ports. I have my beam connected through the hdmi arc port as specified and it works fine. I tried to add a Chromecast dongle type thing to the hdmi mhl port (as it was the only free hdmi available), and it stopped the arc port from working. Disconnecting from the mhl port lets the arc kick in again, and the beam works as expected. Any idea why mhl should override the arc hdmi input?thanks in advance.  

I currently have a playbar and 2 play ones set up to my tv in my living room. I will soon be fitting another tv in the kitchen and I would like a similar set up to my living room. I am going to connect both tvs via a hdmi so that they can both play the same program im sync with each other but I will also have a sly mini box set up to the kitchen tv so I can watch a different channel to the living room. The question I have is will o be able to set up a sonos system that will link to my speakers and playbar in the living room when both tvs are on the same channel but then be able to be a separate system when each tv is showing a different programme.
