Connecting a Sonos ARC to an Onkyo TX-SR373 Reciever

Greetings all… This topic may have been covered, but i haven’t been able to find a clear answer. I have an Onkyo receiver connecting to a Samsung TV. I have multiple HDMI sources (Firestick, Sony Blu-ray DVD and DirecTv) connecting to the receiver. I understand I cannot connect any wired speakers to the receiver, I would like to use it as a AV switch.

What would be the best way to connect these devices together?

You wouldn’t connect the Arc to the Onkyo, you would connect it to the TV. It’s the TV that creates the ARC signal that is needed by the Sonos Arc.

So, all your inputs to the Onkyo, then the Onkyo HDMI to the TV, and the Sonos Arc to the TV’s ARC (or eARC) port.
