Just bought a Sonos Ray soundbar. Despite the assurances of the John Lewis salesman that everything would work with my new Sony TV - I can’t get the remote control to work.  My TV remote isn’t IR and the Sonos has no HDMI input - so am I stuck with no remote control facility?  It would be clumsy but do Sonos make a simple remote control? Not convenient to have to log into my phone and app just to change volume level!

Hi all,I’m using two Sonos One’s as surround speakers in combination with the Sonos Beam. I’ve had no issues before, but this week i heard some strange noise from those surround speakers. Espacially the talking sounds like echo/cracking. I’ve tried resetting both surround speakers which helped, but only for a few days..i’ve send data to Sonos: 576926472.thanks in advance.  

Have a new Sub Mini paired with a new Beam. Have old sub paired with old sound bar. Neither sub will pair with system. 2x long chat sessions with SONOS support. Have tried everything. Factory resets. Rebooting WiFi. Converting router to bridge mode. Hard wiring subs into Eero node while resetting and trying to pair. All I get when doing a factory reset is an alternating green and blue flashing LED. Never just green. System sees them and asks if I want to add. When I try, same error message every time, did not detect a button press. Please HELP. 

Hello. I’m sending this to see if I can get into connect with someone who can assist me in setting up my beam 1 to work on a surround system with two play 1’s. I’ve had it connected together before, but I just recently moved and for some reason the only one I can get to stay connected to the wifi is the beam 1. I’ve tried downgrading to S1 and multiple factory resets. I don’t know if this issue is a regular thing or if something might be wrong with one of the play 1’s, but any help is appreciated 

Hi,i have a house with multiple Sonos speakers on two different floors.  in the tv-room upstairs I have a Beam and two One, which creates a surround system for that room where I have a Samsung TV connected to them. The situation is, as soon as a switch on the tv to watch something on it, it takes the tv sound and sends it to all speakers in the whole house, and interrupts anyone else listening to any music etc in any other room.  I can then manually choose to unselect all the other speakers in the house from the tv-noise, but I’d rather have it so that when I switch the tv on, the sound, by default, is only sent to the speakers in the tv-room, and not the whole house. does that make sense? regards /Jonas   

This issue started earlier this year and seems to happen sporadically while playing games on the PS5. While playing games, my Sonos Arc will start making a choppy, helicopter like noise that’ll last for a minute or two, and then stop. This only happens while using my PS5, but didn’t occur when I first bought the soundbar. It’ll happen at random as well. I’ve changed the HDMI cables and are using new ones, unplugged and then plugged them back in, but the problem continues. Has anyone else had this issue? And any idea on what the problem could be and how to resolve it?

Hello…So I see alot of people having problems with sonos arc playing stereo pcm instead of atmos..I watched Batman yesterday with atmos displayed on app and now its saying stereo pcm on app. I haven’t changed any settings or done anything different so I know its set up correctly as far as tv settings..please help as just purchased arc for this ability. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Hello, new to community.  I recently replaced/upgraded my xfinity WiFi router (XB7 dual band) and a new name and password.  When I attempt to connect my Playbar/sub to the WiFi network, the new network name comes up, but when I enter the password it says unable to connect.  Have tried power off/on reboot of playbar and router to no avail.  Appreciate Kate any help.

System: Arc, gen1 sub, 2 Play 1’s  77” LG OLED Sonos ver 15.10 On two occasions within the last week I have experienced an extremely loud, ear hurting/speaker damaging(?) blast of sound upon start-up from my Sonos system upon turning on my TV   I’ve also experienced, on random streams on live TV (Hulu) very garbled dialog, this just started recently as well  Any suggestions appreciated   

Hi there Hope someone can shed some light on a strange issue I have.My setup:Beam connected via eARC to Samsung UE55B80 PS5 connected to Samsung UE55B80 via HDMI Setup for all set to Dolby / DTS (no PCM)Issue: every time I switch to the HDMI for the PS5, the volume on the Beam goes up. I even see the OSD on the Samsung indicating it turns up the volume. This doesn't happen on any other sources / apps on the Samsung.Any takes on where to change this setting? (Might be a default volume level on PS5, dunno) Thanks in advance

I have an iPhone 11 version iOS 17.12 with Sonos enabled. My problem is when I push the TV button to play on my Samsung Smart TV HD nothing comes out of the speakers.Des  

Hi Alli just wanted to let you all know. For a long time my Sonos setup and especially the soundbar has been cutting out the audi at random with a 5-10 sec pause until the audio resumed. I have been troubleshooting everything and I was suspecting my wifi but just couldn’t find anything at all. I stumbled across another thread that explained that if you connect one of you Sonos devices with an ethernet cable all other devices will change how they connect - so I did….. I hard wired a Play1 in the basement and now my playbar in the upstairs living room is playing flawlessly…. Audio hasn’t dropped since!!! @Cory B you are the man!!!!! I’m looking at running a small cinema club at a local hall near me. I’d like to take my Sonos home theatre there and run from my laptop.Will the Sonos system still sync together when used away from my home wifi? If so, would i still be able to do Spacial tuning for Atmos playback?  has anyone tried this?  Cheers

Hi.  I have just bought an arc , sub and 2 era 300 speakers,  I'm not sure where the best place to mount to speakers in my room  ( wall mounted) was thinking of putting them where is marked in blue on my photo. Would this work if not where would be best.  Thanks Mark  

Hi Forum,I have a question about a recent setup change in my Sonos system and signal dropping issues when using SonosNet.My initial setup was as follows:Room L:One Arc Two Sonos One (surrounds) One Sonos SubRoom K:One Sonos OneThe Arc in Room L was wired and worked flawlessly, with no signal drops.I recently upgraded my system to:Room L:One Arc Two Era 300s (surrounds) One Sonos SubRoom K:One Sonos OneRoom B:One Arc Two Sonos One (surrounds) One Sonos SubInitially, I left the Arc in Room L wired. However, I noticed the Sonos Ones in Room B were disconnecting randomly. These are positioned across the wall from the Room L's Arc, approximately 20 inches away.When I removed the Ethernet cable from the Arc in Room L, everything started working correctly. The Sonos app shows excellent Wi-Fi signal for all devices.My system is now working as expected, but I'm curious about why the signal drops were occurring. I would expect SonosNet to provide better signal quality than Wi-Fi. Given the close

Brand new arc and sub setup yesterday.  Connected to formovie theater (also brand new) via arc3.  Sounds great, but during periods of any sustained front-channel sound that channel pulses like it comes in short, half-second waves. All the other sound is normal.  So eg for batman begins Nolan always has these long sustained notes in the background—all sound is perfect but that, front-channel note is pulsing in volume, like a wave of maybe ½ second from peak to peak.  Same thing watching football…the announcers and sound of the game are all fine, but when the crowd cheers, the cheers, and just that channel alone, pulse like that.   And by the way it is a significant pulse, not just a minor thing I’m picking up on, but significant enough to make it hard to hear the other sounds.  Hope that is a clear explanation, not something I’ve ever heard before so struggling to explain it in words! thanks for any input you can give.   

Help me Sonos Community, your my only hope! I am having trouble setting up a Home Theatre at my dad's house and I'm needing some assistance. At my own home I'm having no issues. I have my Sonos Playbar (Original) hooked up to my TV via the Digital Optical Cable but when I want to use my Benq w1070 Projector with an Amazon Firestick plugged into the HDMI port I hook it the Projector up to my Sonos Port via RCA Audio Cable and feed the sound to the Sonos Playbar via Line-In on the Sonos App. I've attempted the same set up at my Dad's using his Sonos Beam and his Benq w1050 Projector with an Amazon Firestick plugged in to the HDMI port but it's not working. The sound instead continues to come through the Projectors internal Speaker. We managed to get it to work one evening but after turning off the system and coming back the next day the sound was back to coming through the Benq w1050's own internal speaker. How can I get this to work or is there a better way? Any help would be greatly ap

Just set up an Arc and the volume varies greatly between apps. I (and my bird/dogs/partner) are often blasted when moving from one app to another.ex: Watching a movie on Netflix and then move to a Youtube video and the sound jumps up 2x. I lower the volume to a reasonable volume then move to something else in a different app and all of a sudden the volume is loud again.I haven’t tested thoroughly, so I’m not sure if it indicates a consistent ratio/difference between apps along some linear spectrum, or if the difference is consistent across specific apps.

Hi allI have a very simple setup:Samsung UE65JS9500L Apple TV (Gen 4) Sonos ARCI typically only use the Apple TV remote to switch on and off my Apple TV and control it. I only use the Apple TV to watch things.Now, seldomly my TV switches on when I turn on the Apple TV. But, my TV *always* turns off when I turn of the Apple TV.So somewhere something is not correct. Any ideas?Thanks!

I’ve got an Arc, Sub, and two One SLs set up in a surround system. They’re hooked up to a Samsung Frame. Initially when I paused and then unpaused the TV, the sound wouldn’t resume for a second or two. It was annoying, but not unbearable. Lately, however, the sound will randomly drop for lengthy periods--30 seconds to a couple of minutes. Sometimes I’ll have to back out of whatever app I’m using entirely to get it working again. There’s no discernable pattern to this that I can find. It happens whether I’m using the native apps on the TV, Nvidia Shield, or Google TV with Chromecast. Everything is hooked up to WiFi; the system is strong (the video, which is also hooked up via wifi, is never pixelated when this happens). Any ideas? Thanks!

My Smart TV is about 120 feet from my rack of Sonos Amps. I only need to send audio from the TV back to the Sonos AMP.  I have Cat 7 lines run from the TV to the rack. I have two speakers at the TV connected to the Sonos Amp.My question is what it the best method to get sound from the TV to the Sonos Amp knowing I will need an extender between the Cat 7 of some sort:eARC HDMI extenderARC HDMI extenderDigital Coax extender

About 2 months ago the issue has started popping up.The issue: Randomly throughout the day (if watching for 2-3 hours, maybe occurs once) there is a full sound cutout on all my sonos devices for about 5-10 seconds. When this happens I tend to look at the status light. I see it be that standard dim white for those 5-10 seconds then it’ll turn a bright green for about 1 second then the sound comes back on all devices. Had to trawl this forum last week setting up a Ray to work with a 2022 model LG TV but pieced together a solution from people who shared theirs.Tonight I added the TV box remote as a second remote via the app which works instantly. However, now the TV remote no longer controls the volume.  I’ve reset everything on the TV. The Sonos mobile app says the remote is already paired.  Is there a way to select and unpair remote via the app?  Losing my mind and so much time with this. Poor documentation from Sonos and poor product design by LG.
