For my lounge setup I have a beam with two Play1 for left and right speakers.I an not hearing any sound from the two Plat 1 speakers.I have carried out a software update on these speakers (as well an the beam)I don’t know if this is relevant but if I tap on the >II button of the beam (and with the Sonos speaker in the kitchen) I hear a pop sound. This does not happen with the left and right Play1 speakers.I would appreciate suggestions how to connect the sterio speakers to the beam.Thank you

 I use a Beam (Gen 2) with my LG C2 TV. Ever since the LG software update to version 03.33.90 in November 2023, the audio of my Beam makes a loud drone noise when certain types of sounds are played (e.g. a crowd cheering in the background of a sports game, or a rushing river in a nature video). It doesn't happen when I AirPlay the same audio to the Beam from my iPhone, therefore the problem is in the interface between the LG TV and the Beam. I can’t figure out how to downgrade the software on my TV. How can I fix this issue?

Apple tv 4K is outputting STEREO PCM instead of multichannel PCM on non ATMOS content??Is this known issue and any workarounds or fixes??Many Thanks.BEAM GEN 2.

hello, i have a arc soundbar connected to my tv via hdmi and i just recently bought two sonos one sl speaker to connect and use for a theather but im having a problem controlling the one sl speaker with a controller one the arc sound bar will mute and sound will come from the one sl speakers if anyone can help me i would really appericate it ive been hrs trying to figure this out and have have gotten nothing ive see articles on sonos page i folloqed every instruction and still nothing 

I have a Sonos arc and two play ones however the play ones don’t seem to be working. My tv is set to optical/hdmi arc and the sound is coming out of the arc but nothing out of the rears. To use the rears does my tv need to be capable of doing ‘dolby atmos’ or does the arc sound bar do it regardless?  I’ve tried changing the settings but nothing is really working. I’m assuming I need to get a new tv with Dolby atmos in the specification of it.  anyone know?thanks

Hi evryone, got the Sonos era 300, and tried to connect with my tv Lg oled55b9pua, via Bluetooth, once successfully connected, sound does not come up, nothing. looks like the sound is muted, and I tried to volume up, but nothing, the sound remains muted, i tried almost evrything, if you have some recommendations or advices if would be nice, I think that could be a compatibily issues. I have the latest SW update on my tv and my sonos APP, up to date.I tried connecting my iphone via bluetooth to sonos era 300 and worked with any issues. 

Wanted to see if anyone here might be able to help on this  I recently got an arc, sub, and two era 300s. The eras connected via surround fine at the beginning and worked for a few days, but starting today the eras won’t standalone but won’t connect via surround.  I wasted four hours on the phone with tech support today, and for about three of those hours they kept having me plug and unplug the speakers as if they would magically work again. Level 2 support couldn’t help either.. they escalated me up to where I get to wait until next week Monday to have another fun day with tech support….  Hoping the community might have a faster solution than trying to wait on Sonos “support”. 

Hey community. I just purchased the Arc, Sub Gen3 large and Era 3’s. How should I configure my Sony Brava TV speakers. I think i never want the TV speakers, correct? I want everything going out through my Sonos LIving Room system. If y’all agree, should I add my Sonos SL 1’s and group them with the Arc? Or, is that overkill since the Arc as I understand it can act like separate speakers, right and left respectivelyThoughts team GG  

I would like to achieve 7.2.4 channels with Sonos arc soundbar with speaker placement. Is it possible?Furthermore, if possible, I would like to arrange the speakers as if using a DENON high-end AV receiver.

Hello and good morning.i have recently purchased  Samsung S95C to go with my Sonos Gen 2 Sound bar.i have set it up and tested it running Atmos Movie and it works well.The problem I’m having is when I seem to watch a standard channel on sky or a recording on sky the audio on the beam 2 drops out for a few moments then resumes.  There doesn’t seem to be any pattern sometimes it’s a few times then it’s fine for a while then it drops out again?

Sonos will not connect to my WiFi. Also not recognizing my IPhone. I have done everything possible. Factory reset, deleting app many times. Restarting router. Nothing happening. Sonos is powered on. New router working. Installed by provider. What am I missing here! 

I bought a 65 inch Amazon Omni QLED and Sonos Ray soundbar and I am unable to connect the remote because the amazin tv is a rf and the soundbar is a ir. What remote do you recommend I buy to control the soundbar so I don't have to grab my phone each time? 

Hi, I tend to keep my sonos beam volume down to 0 or 1 and only use it when I watch a movie. But I won’t touch it and it automatically increases to a volume of 5 constantly, multiple times a day. Whether I leave the sonos app open or close it, it just seems to increase itself back to 5, interfering with my other sound through the TV. It’s driving me crazy. Anyone else experience this?

My Arc has been working fine with my Apple TV for a while. But yesterday it suddenly doesn’t “turn on” with the Apple TV, and is not recognizing sound. It does work fine with my TV directly, and if I restart the Apple TV or the Arc, it works but not when I first turn on the TV / Apple TV when it’s been off for a while. Both Sonos and Apple TV had updates so I imagine it’s related to one of those, most likely the Apple TV because that’s the only hardware with the issue but all the settings on the Apple TV and the TV are the same. Curious what the issue could be so I don’t have to turn it on and immediately restart to get Sonos to “recognize” it.

I bought a Sonos Beam Gen 2 that I connected to a new Samsung OLED S90 CD. I followed the connection and got everything to work but the Volume upper limit just does not seem to get as loud as I would expect. I did a chat session with Sonos and the suggested doing the Trueplay setup - I did and seems the same. Any thoughts?

Hey gang. I have a 19’ wide X 22’ deep X15’ high ceiling in the living room area. As you can see in the first pic below, i am contemplating putting the 300’s in the corners (see blue boxes). The other option is to have them mounted straight on the face of the wall. Some articles state to not put them in the corners, but other threads say it is okay. It is not an option for us to put them on stands behind the couch given the way my wonderful wife has the room arranged. We listen 50% - 50% music - movies-- maybe more on the movies side. But the kids do love to crank up the system and do the karaoke every once in a while. I am the music appreciation major and love immersing myself in some good music and appreciate the quality of a great mix What is the consensus of y’all? Hello everyone, excuse me in advance for any mistakes I am French !I just purchased two Era 100 in addition to my Beam Gen 2 and I have some surround issues with my PS5.. Indeed, surround sound only works in linear PCM on Youtube or any other streaming application but in gaming the surround’s very limited.For example, in Dead By Daylight, I only hear a few very light sounds from the back and no interesting and important sounds (player movements behind my back for example).Do you have some tips to give me to benefit from real surround sound in game (with good spatialization) ?Thank you to those who take the time to respond to me

In my living room, which is much longer than it is wide, I have an existing audio-only setup consisting of a pair of Fives and a Sub.  It sounds fantastic - the Fives are wall mounted on one of the short walls so they project sound across the full length of the room.Now I want to add a TV with an Arc  to this room.  The only location that works for my living room is to put the TB+arc on one of the long walls, so the fives will be on the wall to the left of the viewer.I will of course want to have my Sub as part of the home theater setup.  Based on extensive discussions in other threads,I have already understood the fact that I can’t share the Sub with two different “rooms” - one home theatre room and one audio-only stereo room, which would be the obvious solution but it is what it is.  I’m certainly not going to buy another sub, so I need to come up with another approach.If I configure the Arc as the center channel with the Fives as the rear surround chan

I’m looking to buy a rather budget sound bar for my beamer setup with the Emotn N1 I bought of Amazon. At the moment the Sonos Ray seems perfect as it fits into my budget and connects to the rest of my sonos ecosystem. The only problem is the connection between beamer and soundbar; the beamer can only connect via hdmi or bluetooth, the Ray has neither, it has an Optical Audio connector though. I found this adapter from Sonos itself (https://www.sonos.com/en/shop/optical-audio-adapter) but it doesn’t mention wether it works the other way around. This might be a stupid question but I just want to be sure that everything will work before I buy the setup. Do you guys think this will work or do you see any other options? Thanks

I went from Sonos One as surround sound to Era100 as surround sound, with an Arc and sub. The Era will not play when setup as surround sound.  I’m playing the same content that worked on the Sonos ones. ( Dolby Digital 5.1). Tried to remove surround sound  and setup multiple times with no luck. I have been using Sonos for years and very familiar with app.  Is anyone having the same issue?  Thanks. 

Hello, I have a Samsung UN55F6300AFXZA tv that I’m using with the Arc. I’ve got the Arc connected to the ARC HDMI port of the TV and a PS5 and Firestick connected to other HDMI ports. I can’t seem to get the settings right to get a 5.1 signal passed thru to the Arc. When I check the settings on my TV, the only digital audio out option is PCM. Dolby digital, DTS, and DTS neo2:5 are all grayed out and won’t let me select. Is there a known fix for this? thanks Mike

I have an Arc with the 3rd gen sub and Amp. I am moving into a new build and have the option to add Sonnance Wall & Ceiling speakers, which is my wife's preference due to aesthetics. However, with the introduction of the Era 300s I'm aware they would probably produce a bit theatre experience for movie watching.  My questions are: 1 - Can you use both wall and celling speakers with the Arc or does it have to be ceiling only due to their current sideways firing speakers? 2 - If you can use both wall and ceiling speakers with the Arc, is there that much of a difference and does it warrant the inevitable resistance and 'discussions' from my wife? Thanks for any help

My Beam stopped working. I am presently trying to restore it without success. I get the four dots in a wave pattern along with this message, “ Getting your Beam ready” but it is hung up on this. I can’t close the window or restart the reinstall. Suggestions please.

Hi. We wanted to create a surround sound so we’re advised to buy the beam and 2 SL 1 speakers but we aren’t getting the sound we had before. We were told Sonos is the best so are disappointed. Anyone able to give some advice please? We don’t have a very big room and at the moment we have one speaker to the back left of the room, the beam in front of the sofa under the TV and the other speaker in the right corner of the room. HiOur Kitchen TV is a 32” JVC and the Ray is on offer for £218 on Amazon vs the Beam Gen 2 for almost twice that, plus the Beam is bigger so the Ray would fit better under the TV/Anyway, my TV has no Optical out natively but it does have a Coaxial port called Digital Audio Output (Coaxial).Could I use this? If I am forced to spend another £200 on a beam, I will probably stick with the Ray option and just upgrade the TV to a newer model as its not Smart anyway.Thanks
