My TV is recessed into the wall and it’s eye level when sitting -- about 20 inches off the floor. can I place a Beam below it on a shelf? My other option would be to mount ti above the TV. In either case, the Beam would be above or below ear level.

Hi, grateful for any help with my sonos beam please. I only recently bought it and it's driving my wife and I crazy. It's echoing around every 10 mins or so. It usually only lasts for around 30 seconds and then corrects itself. I can also correct it by using the reset button in the TV Dialogue Synch settings in the app. 

Hi I have a streaming box that only outputs stereo. Is there anything I can do to turn it into 5.1 as I have the arc two play ones and a sub. Thanks in advance 

My Sonos Arc/2 Era300 system keeps going to PCM 7.1 rather then Dolby Atmos even though the same DVD/Blu Ray/streaming movie showed Dolby Atmos in the past…..using Apple TV 4K and LG C series tv…. 

Hi all,Took delivery of a 77” LG G4 2 days ago.There is an eARC issue I am experiencing specifically with Dolby & DTS content when reverting to Multichannel PCM 5.1 using external devices.Basically, if I am playing something in Dolby Atmos on the Apple TV for example & then switch over to a device which is set to Multichannel PCM 5.1 (Like the Nintendo Switch surround sound setting), I will have no audio on the Nintendo Switch until either turning the TV off and back on again or completely powering off the apple tv which then seems to release the audio for the Nintendo Switch.Like I said earlier, this only happens when you are playing or have just played Dolby/DTS content on an external device and then while that device is still turned on you switch inputs to another external device. It doesn’t happen with Stereo, Multichannel PCM 7.1 or any other format, which makes me thing it’s an LG firmware bug causing it.Anyone else here with an LG G4

Used to have a Samsung TV that went wrong and I replaced it with an LG. The old remote worked, and is still working with my playbase, however when I try to update and use my magic remote via the Sonos app it says it can’t find it. I’ve been through every (logic to me) menu I can think of numerous times. IN the TV I am connected via the optical lead. On the TV’s app I have selected Sonos as the manufacturer but the app says it can’t connect because of the null modem cable!!!! Sonos helpline says it’s because of the TV and it’s settings, even spoke to one of their tech guys who said get in touch with LG, but thought I’d try on here to see if anybody can help me. I have read several discussions on this topic and have tried “Bose” and “Phillips” but neither have worked. Anybody got any ideas please???

Hello,I would like to open discussion and try to find some answers to my issue.It has been few months since I start noticing some issue with the sound coming out of my Sonos Beam, it was mostly noticeable with sounds of traffic or rain where the sound was getting the infamous metallic qualities as if it was being compressed. Especially when having the Sonos in Night Mode the effect was even more exaggerated and noticeable. I started searching what the issue is and whether this is issue of my TV or the soundbar itself.First I tired to play same sound via TV and then via Wifi connection. It was clear that via Wi-Fi the sound was playing without any distortion. I got a new HDMi cable with a Arc support and change the original Sonos one, this did not solve my issue either. I have my Sonos beam (gen 2) connected to my sony smart tv and it is very quiet. Need to put it to volume 50+ from the sonos to have what would be level 15-20 on the sony tv. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’m assuming it is a setting on the tv that I need to change. Let me know, thank you

I can’t get my surrounds to work with movies….they do with music

Since 4/29 I get no sound out of my ARC speakers on both TVs. Once it worked but only once. When playing music the speakers in the bedrooms would not put out sound or would flutter in and out. Other speakers would work. Then some of those would have similar issues. Today, tried to stop music (pushing the appropriate button) and it would not stop. Then eventually it would.Mentioned this to a friend who said he has been experiencing the same issues for the same amount of time.I check settings and the app is not telling me anything wrong/needs to be fixed. Other than asking me if I want to Tune <speaker> with Trueplay. This is driving me insane!! I keep getting an error message saying my wifi network is unstable so playback is interrupted but there's absolutely nothing wrong what do ever with my wifi connection, it's lighting quick and play 1 speakers that I have well away from my router up in my shed (maybe 100 feet away from router) work just fine, I only have this issue when I add my living room set up to my other devices.  I have several play ones, a play 3, a play 5 and era 300 and this issue only happens when I add my play at and surrounds to an internet steaming service such as Spotify or Deezer etc or try listening to a radio station.  I've tried a reboot on the playbar and the two surrounds, I've also disconnected the two surrounds from the living room set up and they work fine, the issue only happens when I connect the playbar.  I've never touched any network settings or anything wifi router related and my tv steams everything just

My Sonos Playbar only has a digital optical input and my TV does not have a digital optical output - only HDMI arc. How can I connect the TV to the Playbar? 

Have just set up my new Samsung QN90B TV. My Sonos Arc is connected via HDMI eArc. I have opened a Netflix stream with Dolby Atmos through the TV native app. On the Sonos app it is only showing a Dolby Multichannel PCM 5.1. I am not 100% sure but I'm sure that this doesn't have Atmos signal.Any idea how I can tweak settings/etc. to receive Dolby Atmos signal. Cheers

I am able to connect my Amp/Sub/4 ceiling speakers to my TV, but when I try to connect my Arc, I am being prompted to use the Arc or the other set up.  I would like all the speakers to work in tandem when watching TV.  Can someone please let me know what I am doing incorrectly? thanks!

Hi everyone, I have an issue with my beam (gen 2) and I have no clue what to do, I connected it to my TCL tv with the supplied HDMI cable, and the audio sounded crispy, and then I realized it frequently goes bad... everything is good and the sound is clear and then it becomes muffled for short time(like someone put it in a box) and clears up again, this happens really frequently and hard to keep track of, I tried sending a recording to support and they said they couldn't hear anything wrong…what can I do? this is annoying and nothing helps... I tried factory reset and connecting using optical cable…  The audio is good till 0:08 and turns good again at 0:25i uploaded the audio clip to http://sndup.net/gnn6(googled anonymous audio upload)

cst6321We have a Sonos Amp in our home, with pairs of indoor and outdoor speakers (not Sonos Brand), hard wired to the Sonos Amp, and we have no major issues playing music through these speakers, via streaming services and the Sonos App on our phones.For the context of this post, leave the outdoor speakers out of the conversation. This pertains to the in-ceiling speakers we have in our family room and wanting to set them up as surround speakers for our TV.We also have a Sonos Beam Gen 2 connected to our living room TV. We want to connect the Beam2 to the Amp which has the hard wired speakers, to get surround sound. We can connect both separately and even play music from our phones through both the ceiling speakers and Beam at the same time. Does Sonos Amp support Dolby Atmos? 

Hey all,I had a bad experience back in the days of the LG C7 with lip sync issues with the Sonos Playbar & Arc. I’m looking to buy an LG G4 & was wondering with eARC these days if people with LG TV’s are still having lip sync issues or other problems with LG TV’s?Would really appreciate some help from those particularly with newer LG’s like the C3, G3, C4 & G4 etc.

Why do I have to listen to Sonos telling me that I have just put the volume up or down when the system is connected via my arc hdmi port on my tv.  It blocks out sound and if I adjust sound vis controller three times I feel like throwing the system out of the window as all I hear is Sonos volume up hdmi repeated for each time I hit the volume up button.  I then loose the sound track I was attempting to listen too.  why ??? Can I turn this annoying sound/ function off?

The last couple of months, the upward-firing drivers on my Arc and Era 300s (as surrounds) randomly become silent and don’t play any height channel audio from a Dolby Atmos source. This happens with all connected devices (Apple TV 4K, Panasonic UB820 Blu-ray player, Roku Ultra) connected to my TV (LG C3 OLED). I have had to unplug the Arc from power about five separate times to get the drivers to work again. I imagine this is happening to more users, but they probably haven’t noticed because it is just the height channel effects missing from the audio. But it is pretty noticeable when playing music in Dolby Atmos as there are pieces of the song completely missing.If I had to guess, the problem started happening after the 16.0 S2 update. But it could possibly be an LG issue too since I purchased the C3 at the end of January.I have seen one other user on Reddit report the same problem. If any other users are experiencing this, please report it here.

Hi - I’m about to purchase a Samsung s90c, but before I do I wanted to check if anyone has had any compatibility issues with the Sonos Arc. I originally had a Samsung q90T that I’m getting rid of - it has an issue with my Sonos Arc where the sound will cut out for a second every 15-20 minutes when Atmos is turned on via my PS5. When I had my playbar connected to it, it had awful sync issues. Needless to say, the Q90t has to go. But if anyone here has experienced issues with the Samsung s90c please let me know. I’m also considering the LG c3 but I don’t like the picture quality as much.

Hi, I have just upgraded my Sonos soundbar from a Beam 2 to a Sonos Arc it seems fine however I cannot for the life of me get the Arc to connect to my Era 300,s I have reset the 300,s and turned the router off/on but the Arc won’t recognise the Era,s can anybody offer any advise as my patience has a hair trigger.Thanks in advanceRichard.

I have a 2020 Samsung qled with arc and I can only get Dolby 5.1 over arc and the Sonos website says I should be able to at least get compressed Atmos over arc. I’ve tried it all I feel and I’m stumped

Can I adjust the sound spectrum on my Ray to eliminate or reduce the low frequency booming sound from the speaker?

I just bought a new Samsung Frame TV and I have it connected to a Sonos Ray soundbar via an optical audio cable. I also have 2 ceiling speakers in the TV room connected to an amp in my basement tithat I am unable to run a HDMI Arc directly from since it’s on the other side of the house. I was able to connect my Samsung TV remote to the Ray soundbar and can control the volume on that. I read that I wouldn’t be able to control the volume of my ceiling speakers connected to my amp with my TV remote since it’s wireless, but I just successfully did the remote control setup in the sonos app and connected it to my amp that runs the ceiling speakers in my TV room and it does in fact control the volume of the speakers. The only issue is, since I guess it controls it with IR, it only changes the volume on the amp when the remote is pointed directly at it, and since my tv is on the other side of the house, it doesn’t control the volume from the TV room.My question is, is there so
