Hi all, I just got my Sonos Arc and set it up with my two Five‘s as a group for my TV.I also have the Pro-Ject Carbon turntable connected to one of the Five‘s.When I grouped the speakers, I couldn’t get the audio from the turntable to be played. The only option seems to be to remove the Five from the group as the line-in reappears as a source within the Sonos app. This is quite annoying - how can I get the turntable to be played on the entire group?
Hi,I’m new here and I’ve just received my new Beam gen 2, that sound incredibly fine. I’m very happy. The soundbar is connected to a Sony KD-48A9 via eARC, everything is working fine but when I put the standby the tv, the beam gen 2 goes in standby as well, in fact I can see the light becoming lightening green. But immediately after 1 sec or less the soundbar led become again white.Could you please tell me which setting that I need to change on the TV to make standby working?Could someone tell me if there is a setting on the soundbar that I need to change in order to make standby correctly working?Could you please tell me if there is any setting to put the soundbar in standby after i.e. 5min of no hdmi signal? Thanks & Regards
Hi Sonos, I recently bought a Sonos Arc and have connected it to my TV using the HDMI Arc output of my (Philips) TV. Unfortunately I’m not that blown away by the sound quality, it sounds very ‘metallic’ and ‘crisp’ (I don’t have a sub at the moment so I expected to miss a little bass, but now it just sounds cheap. I created a diagnose report, the id being: 1920014812. Would be great if someone from support could check if there are any issues with the setup, or if anyone has any tips.. Johan
Hi,I’ve seen there are topics on similar but try as I might I can’t fix it.2014 Panasonic TV TXL42ET60sky Q 1 TB boxsonos beam gen 2 connectionsbeam connected to TV via HDMI2 (ARC) using Sonos leadsky q to HDMI 1 viera link is on. HDMI output on TV is set to digital.setup via Sonos app and the TV is connected.I can only get sound on HD channels if on the Sky q settings the HDMI output is set to normal and then it comes as stereo PCM 2.0if I change the HDMI output on sky box to digital then I will only get sound on non-HD channelsAbsolutely infuriating so far. Certainly the investment wasn’t to have a stereo speaker! All advice welcome - I’m off to the pub and will check back tomorrow!
I recently moved and the new house has a Sonos AMP (https://www.sonos.com/en-us/shop/amp) with in-ceiling speakers (https://www.sonos.com/en-us/shop/ceiling-speaker-pair).The TV I have is a Samsung - 55" Class QN90A Neo QLED 4K UHD Smart TV (https://www.samsung.com/us/televisions-home-theater/tvs/samsung-neo-qled-4k/55-qn90a-neo-qled-4k-smart-tv-2021-qn55qn90aafxza/#benefits)and a Samsung HW-Q600A soundbar. I got a new Sonos system (arc + sub + 2x one sl)Got everything setup and was disappointed with the sub sound… until I heard the sounds from TV movies and music via Apple TV (routed through TV). TV output is the old arc, DTS 5.1.Comparing the same songs: the bass is so much deeper and present thought TV dan from the sonos app, or airplay. I tried al lot (enabling/disabling trueplay, playing with IQ, sub placement, ambient/full setting etc…) Nothing changes the massive difference. Via the app, I have to do my best to hear the difference between sub on or off. Does anybody have an idea what I am doing wrong? Or what might help… thnx
As a good couple of folks before me on this forum, I’ve started to experience a crackle on my Sonos Beam. It seems it came up sone, with no real change to my setup no usage at particularly loud volumes (in fact the system is capped at 60% in the settings). It is showing up when watching through a TV app (Samsung KS8000). Have walked through the common troubleshooting steps. I also submitted diagnostic with ID 1590603626. Anything that can be spied from the logs that might help me resolve this new crackle?
Cannot get beam to play dolby atmos, constantly says Stereo PCM in the app.Running demos on YouTube and content on Rakuten.Tried all options in settings but not changing. Has anyone else come across this problem.Sonos say its the TV and Philips just take away the issue and look into it.TIA
HiSince i bought my LG OLED c1, impossible for me to get sonos arc work properly when i open the TV ( i have to revert to internal speakers then select hdmi arc to have the sound go back)But the worse is that i couldn't have earc: when i toggle earc in the menu it reverts automatically to internal TV speakersI'm using a ultra Hugh speed hdmi câble certifiée between the two devices, sonos arc and LG c1 up to date, i've tried all the settings possible on the TV ( passtrough, auto, bitstream, simplink, hdmi deep color etc)Is it sonos related?
Hi, Playbar (and surrounds) worked perfectly with my old LG TV. Now I am having problems with my new LG C1 TV with WebOS 03.21.05. I can get the sound out from the speakers but not able to control it with the Magic remote. I have to control the sound with Sonos mobile app. Question: How do I set up and control Playbar + surrounds with the Magic remote when having LG C1 TV with WebOS 03.21.05? All the quides seem to refer to older versions of LG/WebOS which have the Device Connector.
My Sonos Arc (Connected to 2 One’s with a Sub) has had an issue since I got it. Whenever playing any Dolby Atmos content ( DD+, TrueHD, and MAT) there is intermittent cutting out. It tends to happen when there is a lot of noise going on in a scene, such as a loud scene or fighting scene but also can happen randomly during dialogue. I have replaced my streaming device from a Roku Ultra to NVidia Shield, I have replaced the HDMI cables to certified HDMI 2.1 48 gbps, and I even went as far as replacing the tv from a Samsung 55” to a Vizio M-series Quantum. All devices are updated and I am at my wits end trying to figure this out. Any help?

After the most recent LG CX upgrade to 4.30.55 I no longer get Atmos (or Dolby Digital 5.1) on my Arc. I’m using an Apple TV 4K for all streaming, not the apps on the tv. E-arc is enabled and TV is set to pass through. No physical or settings were changed from before the software update. Anyone having the same problem or have a fix?
Have been using the arc on my sony TV for a year. All of a sudden it won’t let TV sound come through. The TV says it’s connected to external speaker. When I unplug the hdmi it goes back to TV audio. Then when I plug it back in it goes to external speakers but no audio will come out of arc. I can play music from Sonos app on arc but no tv. When I hit the up and down on my TV remote the arc status light does illuminate. Please help. Diagnostic number 815805473

I bought one of these recently to augment my Panasonic TV. Problem is, the TV has only one HDMI connector (which is occupied by a set top box). The only other possible connections are two SCART sockets and a VGA computer connection socket. So, is all lost, and I have bought a very expensive paperwight?
HelloI have had an issue which I had reported to Sonos support a couple of times. This evening after making a change, I have found the source of the problem.I have a Sonos Arc, Sub and 2 x Sonos 1 surrounds connected to a Samsung QLED TV. Each evening when running any sound source, TV or music it would cut out everyday at EXACTLY 8pm. I cannot for sure say when it started, but it has been happening for a while now.Tried all the all the things support ask you to do; reboot, change wireless channels, submit diagnostics etc. and none of this worked or was conclusive.Today I noticed in the Sonos App that everyday at 8pm Sonos updates my music library which is located on a NAS drive. Therefore I set it to update at 4am and no more cut outs at 8pm! Problem (sort of) solved. If anyone from Sonos support can tell me:Why this happens Why a diagnostics report would not show this (i have submitted them on each support call minutes after it happened).I’ve not seen any other posts with this soluti
Hi community! I’ve got this really weird problem that’s started happening recently, let me describe my setup first. The SetupSony TV KD-49XF7093 Sonos Beam (1st Gen) Apple TV HDThe Apple TV is plugged in to the Sony TV with a HDMI Cable. There is then a HDMI cable from the ARC out on the Sony TV to the Sonos Beam. The Problem For the last 2 weeks, every night at 9pm sharp the audio stops on the Sonos Beam, the TV Speakers become Active, and then back to the Sonos Beam, all within about 2 seconds. you can clearly hear the sound difference in the room, recording it on my phone only really shows the messages that pop up, it’s difficult to hear the sound dipping in and out given the recording of the show that I did.Things I’ve triedRebooting Sonos Turning TV off at the wall Swapping HDMI Cable (ARC) Updating TV Updating Sonos Updating Apple TV Changing the time on the TV to trick it not at 9pm Speaking to Sonos who believe it to be network related (I still can’t get my head around this) - t
I just got the setup (Christmas present that was back ordered). It all installed fine and connected easy enough. However, anytime I have everything turned off for a little while and turn it back on - the ARC is not connected. I have to go through the steps a lot of others mentioned (unplug TV, wait a couple minutes and plug it back in) to get it back up and running. I found a LOT of threads on this, but no real solution and they all seem closed (so starting a new one). I do have an older Samsung, model JS7000F - which I think is a 2015 year model. I had it setup w/ the HDMI (ARC). I tried the other trouble shooting steps I found (disconnect everything, unplug TV and ARC, start w/ Just TV and ARC and then add each component back one by one). No luck - initial setup is fine, but after turned off for a little while it does not find it when turned back on. My full setup is the TV, ARC (and 2 ones as surround), Apple TV 4k, Cable Box is FIOS (Arris VM 1100) and an old blue ray playe
My arc (connected via EAC with an Nvidia Shield serving the data through my Samsung TV) has worked flawlessly up until a few weeks ago. Now no matter what I play (through the Shield) the sound will either cut out completely or just go very, very quiet. This is true no matter the codec, on things that played FINE previously. If I keep playing it may or may not come back (usually not) but if I turn EVERYTHING off and back on again all is well. It’s not the Shield - I switched it with two more Shields I have that play great with other soundbars. My Sonos system is up to date but I did notice a new software update that happened about the same time my problems did.Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this? I understand you can’t roll back software (which is a shame, as I’m pretty sure it’s the Sonos update that fracked everything up) but the Arc is now a worthless player.
Greetings. I have a specific configuration question I would like to pose, hoping someone can help me determine which option is best. I am about to replace my current wired setup with Sonos - ideally this weekend. Here is what I am working with, followed by my specific question:TV: Panasonic TC-P50C2 (Viera, 2010ish)SONOS: Beam (Gen 2), Sub, 2 Play:1sMEDIA: Sony BluRay/DVD, S6700The TV is ancient. Will replace eventually but it’s working fine, so I am putting this off. I do a ton of streaming primarily, but I am still partially in love with physical media. Will use the BDP to play all formats, including music on CD. My GOAL is to achieve the best possible sound, given the above specs.QUESTION: I know I will have to go optical when joining the TV with the Playbar, no way around that. Would using an HDMI splitter yield better sound from media played on the BDP or should I just stick with routing all audio output through the TV? CDs/DVDs/BRs will be played through the Sony BDP.
