I just bought a pair of Era 100’s from Costco and paired them with my AppleTV. Right now I can only control the speakers with the app on my phone. Is it possible to pair them with the AppleTV remote? When I try it wants me to use the Sonos remote to learn to pair but the Era 100’s don’t come with a remote.

Hi all. I have the sonos arc (not ultra), sub gen 3 and two ones for my rear speakers, I am wanting to get more from the speakers coming from the rears for my movies as I've just got a 4k player so would love to hear all the atmos effects behind me etc. I don't really listen to music on the setup just tv and movies so would it be worth upgrading the pair of ones to a pair of era 300s? Wouldn’t it be good if.. you could switch the soundbar (beam in this case) off when playing music?Ive a couple of one rears and a beam up front. For home theater it’s fine, but for music playback it puts too much through the soundbar. The ones sound far better as a stereo pair I think, even if you have the soundbar set on low. the app should have a preference setting, ie you can toggle what speakers are active for music and TV,, bit o’ refinement I think

Hi all, i have bought Sonos Arc ultra. I have been using only AirPlay so far. I have a standard projector and Apple TV. And I wanted to know if I get Sonos Amp would i be able to get Dolby Atmos output ?  please note the projector doesn’t support HDMI Arc output. It’s just a standard HDMI connection 

What I realized after playing the 7.1.4 test tone is that, despite the fact that the Sonos Era 100 has two tweeters facing opposite directions, it outputs sound from only one same tweeter when playing the side-channel and rear-channel test tones. The other one tweeter is not used... This is why playing the 7.1.4 test tone sounds like playing a 5.1.4. This is a waste of potential. If the side-channel and rear-channel were played from different tweeters, the channel separation would be much clearer. I suggest this. (The surround speakers of the LG S95TR and Samsung Q990 series soundbars also have separate tweeters for the side channels and rear channels.)

When watching Dolby Atmos videos, this configuration operates as 7.1.4, but the problem is that the soundbar's side-firing speaker output is so weak that it actually sounds like 5.1.4. https://download.dolby.com/us/en/test-tones/dolby-test-tones_7_1_4.mp4In fact, when playing Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 test tones and listening to the side channel test tones, the side-firing speakers are so weak that the side channel sound sounds like the rear channel sound. Not only the test tones, but also when you watch various movie contents, if you place the Era 100 behind the sofa, the sound that should be heard from the side does not come from the side but rather sounds as if it is coming from the rear. Therefore, I have the following request to the sound engineering team: When combined with the Era 100, please increase the volume output of the side-firing speakers.

So I bought a Beam gen 2 for my bedroom mounted on the wall on a Sonos wall mount. The soundbar is updated trueplayed and connected to a 2022 Apple TV. When testing the soundbar I immediately noticed that the voices are balanced towards the left side of the tweeter in the middle. There’s a midrange speaker on each side of the tweeter and this array I assume is responsible for the center channel. Not talking about the far left and right speakers. Now getting up close to the soundbar the “issue” becomes a lot more noticeable and when you’ve first noticed it it’s hard to ignore. I talked to Sonos support and told them about the issue and we decided to replace the unit.  New unopened box. I installed the unit hoping that the issue would be fixed but lo and behold the issue still exists. So now I start thinking that this is by design and that voices and main effects are played by the midrange on the left side of combined with the tweeter in the middle and the right midrange is somehow used

My HT system comprises a Sonos ARC, ERA 300’s and a SUB 3. TV is a new LG G5 77”. I am looking for a BR player to be used mainly for audio playback of Atmos and DTS discs.I have seen that the Panasonic  players are highly rated especially the ub820 and ub9000. The 9000 is a better constructed unit featuring superior audiophile-grade DACs and offers balanced XLR analog audio outputs. But as I am connecting my ARC using eARC then the analog section is not needed.Any comments or suggestions would be most welcome. Thank you.

Hi everyone,I’ve got a TV mounted high up in the corner of my room (photo attached). I’m looking to add a Sonos soundbar, most likely the Beam (Gen 2), and possibly one or two Era 100s behind me for surround.Because of the corner position and the curtain/window nearby, I’m wondering: Would the Beam work well acoustically if mounted under the TV with a bracket? How much would the corner affect bass/Atmos? Are Era 100s behind the seating area a good idea for surround, and how should they be placed? I’d love to hear what others with similar setups recommend — whether I should stick with just a Beam, go Beam + rears, or even consider Arc instead - maybe even a sub? Thanks in advance!

Could SONOS also add a ‘default volume’ for ‘Home Theatre’ systems when the input is ‘TV’? AFAIK, all of these things are known to the system, so it should be possible.I’ve seen this discussed for over 10 years in various forms but I think this request is simpler and also necessary.TV’s have default volume settings for good reason - it is super useful!

Feature Request: Currently, for the Arc, there is no dedicated center channel nor controls. Additionally, when surrounds are used, the side-speakers of the Arc are disabled. I’d like to request the option to select simulated (current) or real surround. By real, I mean a dedicated center channel distinct from left and right channels. And when that option is selected, a wider sound stage can be achieved by NOT disabling the side-speakers. Call it ‘expert mode’ or something, but let US decide how to use the system as per our preferences and have tuning options for that.

Hello, I was wondering if it’s possible to play sound through the Sonos Arc and the Sonos Ace at the same time. My friend likes louder sound so he’d like to listen using the headphones while I would listen using the soundbar.

 I recently noticed that Sonos has improved low-frequency response with a DSP update. I could really hear the positive changes while watching Dune 2. Our goal now is to address the issue where low frequencies generated by the overhead channels aren't being redirected to the soundbar's midwoofer.  While this isn't a problem for those using a separate sub, it can negatively impact the listening experience for those using the Sonos soundbar as a standalone unit, such as with the bar + Era 100 or bar + Era 300. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RWLGzNhMYmZo9dTxqljgpGtiU5NDnXW4/viewThe video I've attached shows the kick sound from the overhead channels starting at the 30-second mark. Hi all,I am hoping to get some insight on appropriately placing my era 300s as rear surrounds.  I have followed the help guide from Sonos to get started (I.e. both speakers have at least 8” of clearance on either side, at least 1” from the behind and are approximately 8 ft apart from each other).  Also, the era 300s are about 1 foot back from the seating area and offset about 1-1.5 ft to either side.   My main question is should the era 300s be less offset and closer to the chairs or is this good?  My understanding is that rear surrounds should be slightly behind and offset from the listening area.  Hoping to get some input here.   Lastly, are era 300s too much for this space? Would it have been better to opt for the era 100s? No complaints on the 300’s performance as I did notice an improvement over the One SLs that I had has rear surrounds before this.Many thanks in advance for your help and input.

Voice on update is now excellent. It was very bad before and needed subtitles. Now everything is way more balanced with the right volume of surround to voice. PLEASE do not f.... This up by changing it. Leave it. I have a beam with small bass and surrounds s2I've had hi fidelity systems for 40 years and it is now excellent. 

I have:sono ampsonos Sub gen 3sonos arc ultrasonos architecture ceiling speakers sonos architecture wall speakers  before I got the arc. The sound was in incredible. Blew my mind. But once I added the arc ultra, I found the sound would no longer play from the architecture speakers as they are now considered height speakers / surround speakers and I am making a leap here that if the sound is not destined for those speakers it. It no longer is sent unless it was supposed to. Like when listening in Dolby it does go to them.  Most noticed when listening to music some tracks sound night and day different. Almost terrible.  OR if I listen to music on Sonos app. Sounds great.  BUT if I listen to music from the tv ( you tube, Apple Music ) it sounds terrible again.  I would prefer to be able to play sound to the architecture speakers like before and just add the arc ultra as additional speakers.  could I use my other amp that I use seasonally Denny outside speakers and use it solely for my arc

Hello,I have Sonos ERA100, ERA300, Arc Ultra, Sub Gen 4 and Beam GEN 2. I bought all of them in Singapore. Since we are moving to The United States, I have a concern. Singapore: 240VAC 50HzThe United States: 120VAC 60Hz. Can I use all of my Sonos products in US only with plug adapter? 

For context, my “System” consists of:Family Room ‘Amp’ - powers two non-Sonos in-ceiling speakersFamily Room 2 ‘Arc Ultra’ Master Bedroom ‘Amp’ - powers two non-Sonos in-ceiling speakers I would like to “bond” my Family Room ‘Amp’ with Family Room 2 ‘Arc Ultra’ and use the in-ceiling speakers as rear surrounds. When I go to bond it, there is a message that shows up saying:“To use these Sonos Amp as surrounds, connect your Arc Ultra to the router with an Ethernet cable.” I click through this message once, then again, Arc Ultra makes a sound as if it were a success and now Family Room 2 has the Amp and Arc Ultra listed under products. When I go to try audio with surround sound, no audio coming from speakers powered by Amp. They are currently setup as stereo. What am I missing? Do I need to factory reset and create the Family Room from scratch and change speakers to surrounds?Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You 

Hello I have got a sonos arc,sub and 300 speakers,my son in law did something with my Spotify app so the rear speakers played music but since then when people are speaking I can't hear there voices very well,I have enhanced speech on,any ideas on what I can do please on the sonos app?Thank you.

I can’t get my Play 5 to sync with my Ray (connected through optical) when connected to the tv without getting up and pressing the play button on the Play 5. When I try to add the Play 5, then press apply, all sound stops. 

I have a few zones that are a 3 speaker setup (Beam + 2 Ones, Ray + AMP).  Sometimes I have 1 speaker in the zone unplugged on purpose - example below.  I’ve noticed the zone then disappears so I can’t use that zone at all until I power the missing speaker.  I’d like to keep using the zone even if there are speakers “missing” because they are not plugged in.  How can I do this?  Or is it a feature request? Example zone: my AMP powers 2 soffit speakers for my back deck.  I have a rolling cart for my outdoor TV, which includes the Ray.  When watching TV the AMP speakers serve as the surrounds paired with the Ray.  I turn off the cart’s powerstrip when not watching TV, hence the Ray is unplugged most of the time.   Now, because of the zone setup, I can’t play music out of the AMP when just hanging out on the deck. 

I am in the process of moving into a new home that needs to be wired with a whole house speaker system. There will not be the opportunity to install volume controls in each room.I would like to use my Denon Receiver that has two zones for Multi-Sourcing to other amps with RCA cable to split the signal and power 12 pairs of speakers I currently have in my home.My question is can the Sonos Amps connect to my receiver and daisy chain with other Sonos amps so one music source can feed all the Sonos amps in sync? My Denon receiver Is the main source for my home theater and multi-sourcing thru-out the house and in need to somehow control the volume with each set of speakers. Complicated question and I hope it makes sense.  

Hi, I need your help setting up my Beam gen 2. In the end I think my tv is to old (I hope I’m wrong).  LG OLED55C7V (launched 2017) Apple TV 4K (latest) Sonos beam gen 2 What I understand, my tv only have ARC port for hdmi and not eARC. When having the Apple TV set to Dolby Atmos, I can’t have the sound to be synced because I don’t have earc ports. So I tested Dolby digital 5.1. But then I can’t get the sound synced properly and it did also get a little pulsing sometimes.  Last try I set it to Stereo. Now the sound got synced. But the sound sometimes sound like it’s in a pipe / tube. Really weird.  Other settings on my Apple TV are: 4K SDRYCbCr4:4:4Match dynamic range and frame rate On my LG TV it’s set to: Bypass/pass throughDTV is set to autoSimplink onOutput PCM When turning Dolby Atmos off in Apple TV and let it use standard surround and also set the Output in LG to Auto instead of PCM. Now it sends Dolby Digital 5.1 and the weird “pipe”-sound is gone. But, the sound gets a little
