Beam: Keeps switching back to ARC from Bluetooth - how to stop?

Hi. I have an LG C8 OLED TV and a Beam, connected Via HDMI Arc. I also have some Sony Bluetooth headphones. Whenever I try and play the TV audio via Bluetooth after 2 seconds it switches back to Arc. Is there anyway to prevent this? I have to pull the HDMI lead out of the Beam, but can it be disabled via the app or some other way? Thanks.

HDMI Audio Extractor and Playbar

Hi, I recently purchased a Samsung 70” UHD TV.   It does not have an optical output.    I purchased a insignia HDMI Audio Extractor and was told that this would allow me to connect to my playbar.    I keep getting a no signal detected error message.   is there a better product or work around to make this work?

Sonos beam 2 + era 100 ethernet vs wifi 2.4Ghz

I have a sonos beam 2 in the room and I bought a pair of era 100 for it, the problem is that I have the sonos beam 2 connected to the ethernet cable, but I don't know if I should also connect the era 100 by cable, in the room I have a repeater and it only works with 2.4 Ghz as technically it is another router than the one in the room, the sonos beam 2 is the only one I have inside this router, if I connect the 2 era 100 to that 2.4 Ghz network they do not connect through sonosnet so there is no problem with beam 2 being wired at era 100 via 2.4 Ghz wifi? I was considering upgrading to a mesh network from tp link the deco 6e but from what I see the sonos speakers don't work well with mesh networks so I reject the idea, but to tell the truth the reason I connected the beam 2 for ethernet it is that for wifi it took a while to work it would remain silent for a couple of minutes until it finally worked or I had to go up and down the channels so that it stopped being silent, with ethernet c

Brand New Arc Suround System bricked

Brand New Sonos Arc, Sub3 and Era300 x2 System.The Arc and Sub will not update no matter what I try, the firmware update always fails.Info on the Arc:Sonos OS: S2Version: 14.2 (build 67127109manufacturing)Hardware Version: 1.27.1.12-4.2Series ID: A103IP Address: 192.168.86.249 (Wired)Audio In: WM: 0I have spent 3 days, several hours with chat support, + 5 hours with Sonos phone support.I have tried everything I could find online, including recent things from Reddit or Sonos forum, including:Make a new Sonos account with an email address I have not used. Countless variations on hard reset and reboots on Wifi, the Arc, only 2.4ghz, wired etc. Attempting the firmware update on other devices, so far 5 different android devices and the Windows app (don't have access to IOS device). Resetting the devices and adding / updating one device at a time. Making sure I have the latest Sonos app and doing everything over again, currently v 80.02.07 and Windows app v16.2. my sonos started playing music we dint losten to

I was at work and my wife asked me if I started playing music in the Bedroom. She sent me a video recording of the music playing, and it’s not music that either of us listen to. I am not even able to connect to our speakers And my phone is the only one that is connected.  Did someone else access our Bluetooth speakers? How is this possible? It happened quite late at night also. How can I make sure that this will not happen again?

Unable to upgrade sonos devices after factory reset

I changed my router and needed to change my wi fi network. Sonos support recommended that I reset the connection to factory settings, otherwise I could not connect. When connecting sonos products via the app, it finds them but cannot update, shows that an error has occurred when searching for updates What I didn't do and I rebooted the router and unplugged the sonos from the network, only to turn it back on 15 minutes later,nothing helps. I have used the Android app and the Iphone app,which I have reinstalled, but anyway it shows can't update the devices, it shows error, the Iphone shows that I need to log out of my account, but there is no way to do it in the app. Please help.

Beam (Gen 1) + Two Era 100, Dolby Atmos?

Hi, I currently own a 1st gen Beam and was curious if it would be possible to play Dolby Atmos content if I get a pair of Era 100’s as surround speakers, or would I need to upgrade to the 2nd gen Beam in order to access Dolby Atmos?

Samsung Frame TV to AMP? (I don't want to use a soundbar, AMP only)

Hi, favor to ask the community as i’ve been searching for the last hr but no luck. I have a Samsung Frame TV and just installed an AMP + 4 sonos ceiling 8” speakers. I do not want a soundbar. So i’m curious how to get the sound working?  I’m assuming HDMI-ARC from the FrameTV box to the AMP via HDMI cable? cheers

Turntable + Port + Surround Speakers

I’m thinking of purchasing a Premium Immersive Set with Arc , and ideally being able to “stream” music from a turntable - Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Turntable in Black (Sonos Edition), with a Port.Would this allow me to seamlessly switch from TV sound to Turntable, with sound coming from the surround 100s as well?I’ve found a few confusing suggestions about creating different rooms, pairing different speakers, using a 100 as “line in”, but that doesn't sound very appealing…

Switching Sonos One speakers between Surround and Stereo

So i got 2 One’s for my dad to work in surround with his arc. To his slight annoyance, a lot of the content he watches isn’t broadcast in surround, e.g. the world cup. So he would like his sonos One surrounds to work as a mono or stereo pair playing whats on tv, duplicating the arc. This can be automatic or manually switched.  I was thinking i could create a separate group with the 2 One’s as a stereo pair and just switch between them in the app, but sonos, in their unending quest to minimize system flexibility, doesn’t allow speakers to be in more than one group, or at least i can’t find a way to do it.

Playbase still not recognized as Home Theatre product

Hi, I still cannot trueplay tune my playbase using my iPad 9.Gen.If I try, the wrong dialog is comming up.There is no “tuning twice”. The app tries to starts right with the “Then, you’ll walk wit your iPhone...” part, but softlocks the moment I tap on “begin tuning”.If I borrow an iPhone, I can trueplay tune this PlabaseIf I use my iPad for my none Home Theatre speaker, trueplay tuning is possible.Any news on that?I have an open ticket with support, but never herad back from them. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Using bigger portable models as surrounds on demand.

Dear Team Sonos,Please work towards allowing the bigger portable models (like the Move 2) to be used as surround sound speakers on demand. E.g., I’d love to have a couple of Move 2 as surrounds for my Beam 2 at home (with all the benefits of cordless regarding practicality, etc.), that I can move to my garden in the weekend to play music when having friends over for BBQ. :)It will be a killer feature, and one thing I really miss from back in the day when I had Philips Fidelio sound bar (though I would not replace my Beam 2 for that nowadays, if Philips could do it back then, I’m sure it’s easy for Sonos :) - https://www.philips.com.sg/c-p/B5_12/fidelio-soundbar-soundbar-speaker) Thank you in advance for considering this.
