Hello,

I'm recently bought a pair of Era 100 and I added these as a surround speakers for my Ray with a Sub mini but I don't have the stands for the speakers but in a weeks I'm going moving to another house and there I can pit the speakers on the wall but while I want to use the surround speakers in front at the same height of the soundbar and using the reflections of the lateral walls can listen like there are closely back or minimum more spaciality, my room is almost a square it's 3.75m high and 3.95m wide (12.3ft x 13ft) and my soundbar is like in 20cm in front the wall so is remaining only 3.55m and my spot of listening is 1.5m of the soundbar, can any give me some solutions or tips for this, and configurations in the app?

PD: Sorry if my English isn't the best I'm Mexican and I don't speak English natively :)

Leo,

The surrounds are designed to be ‘behind the head’ and not bouncing or reflecting off the walls. If you can’t hang them on the wall behind your viewing area, I’d recommend some stands to hold them up. Putting surround speakers in the same plane as the front Ray won’t be good.

Leo,

So for this specific problem I have no solution, because the stands isn't in stock in the stores I went to look for it, and they will be unavailable until like 2 weeks, for that time I will be already moved, so I only search a temporal solution :)

You can purchase stands directly through Sonos, if desired. Delivery isn’t overnight, though. I’ve occasionally, in the past, ordered through Amazon.com, when speed was important. I’ve also used side tables as ‘stands’ for quite a long time, for surrounds, while figuring out what the final resolution should be. Not ideal placement for surrounds, which should be at head level and behind, but it worked for me, temporarily.

Ah, I remember at one point, I was using IKEA CD ‘racks’ stood on end to support my surrounds. A bit tall, but serviceable for the PLAY:1s that sat on them. Let me see if they still make them, if so, I’ll put the link here in the English statement, not in the Apple generated translation.

Apparently they don’t (it has been quite a few years, unfortunately, but they were something like this, but smaller in dimension, about 6x6x72…ummm, that’s inches.

I've seen it too (maybe not the same "racks" but yes they now don't make them) but thank you for the solution, here in Mexico we can't buy directly from the Sonos page but apparently Sonos is very nearby to Amazon so they have fast delivery for its products, I'm gonna look for the stands on Amazon, maybe I can receive it before I move (I see that here the most of people buy the speakers in black but for my room I like more white so, all my room speakers are white but they take longer to send. Inclusive my Era 100 take almost a week to arrive). Thank you for the temporary solution idea :)

I have a mix of black and white…most of the white ones (except the Arc) have ended up in bathrooms. It’s, as near as I can tell, just a matter of preference.
