Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Is there a noticeable difference in sound quality between Arc and eArc?   I currently have Beam Gen 2, sub mini and 2x Era 300 surrounds. My Panasonic GX800 TV  (from 2019 I believe) has Arc not eArc. The sound sources I see on the Sonos app are Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital Plus 2.0 and Dolby Digital Plus 5.1. What other sound sources would show on the app if I upgraded my TV to eArc?  Dolby True HD?  Or would I need to get an eArc TV and alsio upgrade the soundbar to perhaps Arc Ultra.?  

Hi i need help , it s impossible to connect my IKEA symphonic lamp , I tried all but nothing works ... If someone con help me please . I sicces to connect of the Sonos application but not with the TV , and impossible to put my music from my phone too.... 

Just changed from Sky Hub to Vodafone ultra hub. System worked great previously, have two paired Play1 rears (2016) a beam and a gen3 Sub. I’m also on the latest app, but when I try to connect everything back up, the best I can get is the following… I can’t get everything to connect in the same room to set up a 5:1 system, when I add the rear surrounds to the beam it disconnects from the sub. Tries resetting everything and starting from scratch adding one by one but failing miserably. Like I said, all connected fine until I changed bb provider, any tips appreciated 

My wired Kitchen pair of Play:1s (set to static IP) have been a problem for weeks now.  They keep dropping out and when they do they are greyed out on the app.  I restarted my router there that appeared to fix the problem for now, but obviously that isn’t very convenient.  Before I contact tech support, is there any things I should be looking out for? 

Hi!A few months ago I updated my Sonos Home Theater system.I now have an Arc Ultra with Sub 4 and two Era 100.From day one I noticed something that puzzled me: whenever I use Night Sound with Dolly Atmos content, the Night Sound mode is unusable because sound from the Arc Ultra get way louder at times (it clearly have to do with some specific positional audio elements during the playback) and also dialogues get way too low to the point they re not audible. This dialogue thing is easily solved with Speech Enhancement, but the audio fluctuations, where it gets way to loud depending on some specific positional sound effects just is an absurd.Also, at times, surrounds get delayed creating an echo effect to the whole content.It seems to be a software thing because this does not happen with other sound formats aside Dolby Atmos, and only happen with Night Sound on (hence I suspect this to be a software thing rather an hardware issue).Any clues?Does anyone has the same experience?I believe it

Hi, I know nothing! Just moved to new apartment and have new WiFi but can’t get any connection. Trying to reboot for factory setting but struggling with 1000 versions. All know is I bought the system pre-Covid sometime. Any ideas at all…other than buy a new one?cheers Claus

The new interface is not intuitive in any way. All I’m trying to do is figure out how to pick a speaker, pick a playlist to play on that speaker. It doesn’t seem to be logical at all. The software seems to want to let me add more than one speaker, but how to add a playlist or music from a single artist is NOT obvious.  so what is the logic. Am I supposed to pick some music first and then determine what to put it on? Because none of the other apps I’ve ever used for speakers works that way. I pick a speaker and then I pick the music to go on that speaker.   I’ve been using another app to pretty much do most of what I wanna do but unfortunately, they do not have a sleep timer. Every time I try to go to Sonos app I revert back to the third-party app and then when I go to the Sonos app, the music is playing on the speaker I want and I go set the sleep timer. It’s got awful. Please, if someone can help me understand the design logic, it would be greatly appreciated. thanks,DMW

It often happens that I cannot control the volume in one room. I can disconnect the S1 par but have no volumen control dot on the line. 

For weeks my app is saying that i have to login as system owner. I am the actual owner but i’m unable to do so :(Everytime i’m trying to login, i end up with a blank screen and there i can’t do anything.Next option is to ‘open in chrome’  but then, after filling in my user & Pass, it reverts back to the same blank page, only with an extra: ‘Something went wrong’Why is this happening? I just want to make some simple changes in the system settings, or just listen to Sonos-radio….  I’m working on an Iphone 12 mini, with newest software version. I have already reinstalled the app, resetted the app etc etc.  

Can the era 300 plays in Dolby atmos when paired in stereo?

Hey all,  I don’t know enough to know what I don’t know. Looking for other people’s thoughts.  For years, we lived off a 2.1 system. This last December, we bought an Arc Ultra. No bass, no side speakers yet.  When I play native Dolby Atmos audio - ie, modern movies and games with it as the original mix - the sound is stone cold amazing. Absolutely mind blowing.  And on stereo, in sounds fine. It sounds like stereo. Not great, just fine, like you’d expect.  But when it tries to output 5.1 sound or plays old 5.1 movies remixed as Atmos, it just sounds off, like it actively does not use all the speakers in the bar, or puts things out to the upward speakers when those aren’t part of the 5.1 track. …. Again, I don’t know what I don’t know here, sadly. Is this a common problem? Is there a way to fix this? Do I need side speakers for the 5.1 experience? Did Atmos just spoil me immediately? 

If I plug my headphones into my PC, I can hear music coming through my music library. However, the songs from my music library transferred to Sonos only played through my speakers. I want to know how I can listen to my Sonos tunes through headphones on my Sonos app.Do I have to purchase special headphones for this purpose? I already have a set of wired Sennheiser earbud headphones that plug directly into the 3.5 mm jack connection on my PC. Will these not work when listening to Sonos tracks? I have 2 rooms that have Sonos equipment in them. However, it is only one room. I want to use headphones for. In that room, I Have a Sonos Bar, 2 Sonos Play Ones and a Sonos Sub.When playing a Sonos list with the cross-fade on, each track will mingle into the next track with no pausing between the previous tracks, stopping first. Is there a way I can listen to Sonos through headphones and listen to a Sonos list with the cross-fade on? If so, how can I make this happen? I should point out I am disab

I just bought my first Sonos product and I have to say, so far it’s been underwhelming.I have my Sonos Five in my living room and it’s just not loud enough. Anything below 50% is ridiculously low and I was surprised I could even push it to 100% without being blown away.It’s loud, but not so loud that 100% becomes as unbearable as one would expect.I don’t have volume limit on. I did the truesound thing and volume is pushed to max on my Spotify app as well as on my phone.I’ve googled a bit and this doesn’t seem to be a very uncommon issue people experience. Some say already at 50% it’s really loud and others say they have to crank it like I do to even get loudness from it.Not sure what to expect here. How do I know if I have a defect unit?

Recently purchased a set of ERA100 floor stands but had a real issue with the build. The kit comes with four M5 long screws that were too long to fit securely through the base and into the poles. My build issues continued when one screw got stuck and I had to drill it out and retap the pole with an m6 thread. I cut about a quarter inch of the other 3 long bolts and that did the trick. Good secure fixture top and bottom. The issue as I see it is either the build needs shorter M5 screws or longer threaded receptacles in the poles. My advice would be make sure the long screws go all the way into the poles before you start the build. 

Sorry, I’m not an expert at this. Can I use my SONOS app on windows to play music from my local audio folder, on the desktop, to my beam?And/or to my airplay enabled Denon receiver?i tried to drag an audio folder into the app but seemingly it doesn’t allow that step.Admittedly I may be missing a step,

We have two Sonos Ones; one in my partners office and one in my craft room. At present they are in the same system. When we want to play different media in our respective rooms, I can play what I want, but as soon as my partner picks something, it stops my Sonos from playing because he has selected his device. We don’t have a stereo pair set nor are they in a group.Is it possible to set up each device in a separate system so we don’t keep ‘overwriting’ our play preferences. I am trying to improve my system (Beam-1, 2 Sonos One surround speakers, mini-Sub) by connecting my beam to my home router with an Ethernet cable and using SONOSNET to wirelessly connect to the sun & surround speakers. Yes, I also suffer from the random sound drop-outs!!I have looked up the “About My System” page on the “General Setting’ option, hoping to confirm that my system is using the WM-0  connection protocol (for SONOSNET connection), but the line of text showing WM status (which should appear under the IP Address line) is missing on my “About My System” page.Has anyone else had this issue?

When I play YouTube from my phone (casting or AirPlaying to Sonos), the music sounds much quieter, and it feels like I’m not getting the full range of sound. When I play YouTube on my TV, the Fives seem to only output ambient/background sound, while the Arc and Sub are more prominent. I also noticed that when playing from my phone, changing the "Full" or "Ambient" setting in the Sonos app actually makes a difference—if set to "Full," the speakers play much better. But when playing from the TV, switching between "Full" and "Ambient" doesn't seem to change anything.Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a setting I might be missing to get a more balanced sound across all speakers when using YouTube on TV?Thanks!

Why is the App that was changed absolutely dire. It’s that bad these speakers are getting launched and I’m going to another speaker 

In the before times I liked using the Recently Played list to help me quickly get back to something I listened to recently. The new app only shows music from my services but not from my Music Library.  Is this on anyone’s list to fix?  Is there anything I can do to get that feature back?  Thanks for taking a look at this.

Le lendemain matin impossible d’allumer la radio depuis mon appli sur le téléphone.Je peux ouvrir l’application mais tout est grisé dans les favoris et impossible d’accéder à la recherche non plus. Il faut que je ferme l’application en forçant l’arrêt et que je rouvre. A ce moment seulement je peux contrôler l’appli.Suis je la seule ? When do Sonos release a controller for Galaxy watch? Anyone heard anything? 

My Sonos Move One doesn’t want to charge anymore. I called the assistant centre, they will change the charge base. But today the sonos move tower shown only the micro white light. When I press the On button nothing happens. I don’t know what to do . Is someone had this kind of problem ? What can I do to make my Sonos work ? Thanks very much for your help.

Hello Sonos Community. Thanks for sticking around if you are patient, this seems to be a strange one . . .I am having a heck of a time getting an ARC/SUB/AMP configuration to be adjustable and tweakable the way it should. I have added the Amp as Surround and Sub to the ARC configuration in a single room. The amp feeds 4 ceiling speakers that sound great. The sub kicks in. The True Sound applet runs and sends its pink noise everywhere and sounds great. The issue is that True Surround gives a super heavy front surround mix out of the gate, and there is no way to manually pump up the Surrounds (AMP and 4 speakers) or Sub. There is a section to adjust these and the sliders do absolutely nothing.
