Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hi Team,Already have read almost every forum post and tried every trick from completely reinstalling all my Sonos devices till completely redesigning my wireless.Iam using a arc with a sub and just replaced my Sonos Play 1 surrounds with 2 ERA 300 devices.The problem is they keep losing there connection in the surround enviroment and i don't get it why. There is not a real error but sometimes after 30 minutes and sometimes within 3 minutes the ERA300 speakers disappear in the app and I cannot get them back.I tried reseting them, unplug and plug the cable again.Also set my wifi to only use 2.4ghz, 5ghz, disabled things like client loadbalacing, band steering, added fixed IP addresses etc etc.. but iam pretty lost now.Iam add the point of returning them because my play 1 were always working fine but for some reason its not possible to get a steady connection with the ERA300’s...(EDIT) added my play 1’s again..bu

Hi ForumI am considering buying and Arc ultra soundbar to replace my Sonos playbar (optical connection only) I plan to keep my sub and 2xsonos 1s connected as a sound system in the room with the TVMy panasonic TV TX55EZ952B (2018) has an HDMI ARC portSo my first question is will this be a suitable connection to the HDMI eARC port on the Arc ultra soundbar?My second question is will there be limitations of connecting Sonos Arc ultra to an HDMI ARC port (after some limited research I cant find out if the port on the panasonic is HDMI 2.1 either it just says ARC)I have heard there are compatibility issues between Sonos and Panasonic is this true?😯 Thanks in Advance

 I just bought both a new TV LG OLED G4 and a Sonos Beam. When I try to paid the Sonos to the tv via the app, even though the Beam is connected to the tv via HDMI eARC, it says that TV speakers not connected and I can’t get my Sonos beam to work. The TV does recognize that the soundbar is connected, tho.

I’ve just put Sonos Era 100 in my workshop. But “workshop” isn’t an option I can choose as a room name. Is it possible to customise the list of rooms that Sonos provide??

I was one of the many users who experienced issues with the app re-write, but slowly, very slowly most the issues were fixed. Then a few weeks back there was a minor app update, supposedly to fix bugs and improve reliability, but it has had the opposite effect for me. Issues have included:* Being logged out repeatedly* Having individual speakers disappear - particularly my Beam.* Having the entire system temporarily disappear* Having my favourites or recently played lists grey out / disappear.Nothing has changed on my network. Its a simple single wifi router network in a freestanding house with little network interference. Router is a ~9 months old mid-range TP-Link.This is driving me nuts. I was finally not detesting using this system and now I'm back to wondering about the resale value.Have others noticed recent downgrades in reliability? What can be done? 

There is still one big issue for me regarding to volume control of grouped rooms. In the past the most comfortable way to set all grouped rooms to the same volume level was setting the main slider to zero. Then you immediately were able to raise volume for all grouped rooms at the same level.Now I have to wait for about 8 seconds!!! after setting to zero before I can raise volume in sync. Otherwise the grouped rooms won’t set to zero.I really hope Sonos will find a way to get this sorted. A maximum of 2-3 seconds to wait would be welcome for me, or an optional button in group control would be fine to activate synced volume for all grouped rooms (maybe at level of the most „silent“ room of the group).

As per the Oligo Airborne announcement, some high level exploits using AirPlay have been made public.  Tow of them - CVE-2025-24132 & CVE-2025-30422  affects Speakers and Receivers made with AirPlay SDK. Can someone from Sonos comment on whether Sonos products are susceptible to exploits, and if so, when they will be patched, and any products that may not be patched?thanks,Rob

I have a full sonos setup with sonos sub playbar and the other small speakers, i just ordered a laser light for partys but i did some research and found out sonos does not have any way to connect to DMX? Does anyone have any other suggestions/ recommendations/solutions??  can i forexample connect to my sonos system on s pc and run a dmx cable from the pc to the laser?

I noticed that after updating the app and speaker firmware, when I unmute by clicking the mute button, the volume jumps back to what I set it to but no music plays from that speaker. After a few seconds it drops to 0. This only happens with airplay. This is not happening when using bluetooth or playing directly from the app. 

New generic batteries don’t seem to work ?

Given the system/configuration: Room 1 with a TV/Ray and Era 100, and adjoining room 2 with a TV/Ray. Sourced from room 1’s Ray, but muted so that sound is only playing from the room 1 Era and room 2 Ray.It is awesome that Sonos supports this configuration. However it is impossible (so far as I can tell) without the Sonos app to restore this configuration when it is lost. I am looking for some help with an older Sonos system. It is a simple system with just a Sonos Connect plus a Sonos Connect Amp. All connected to a Fritzbox 7582 and a Synology DS 220+ via ethernet cables and controlled by the Sonos S1 app on Android or Windows 11. The system has always been also connected to the Wi-Fi network.My “simple” problem is that any system configurations, for example the room configuration, are erased every time the Wi-Fi is disconnected. This in not such a big deal but is simply annoying, especially as far as I remember was not a problem with earlier versions of the app.From what I have read the solution is to disconnect the Sonos from the Wi-Fi network. This should be simple to do as there is a position in the app for exactly this. Hi, Has anyone noticed there appears to be a bug with the Sonos app / Sonos Ace Noise Control functionality?  Selecting the noise control options with the Sonos app on Android does not change the mode on my Sonos Ace headphones.  The function can be changed directly on the headphones and reflects in the app when it changes, but it cannot be changed from within the app itself.

If you’re getting a “password incorrect” error when you’re trying to connect your SONOS product to your WIFI, below is what is likely wrong (*Spoiler alert, it is likely NOT that you entered the wrong password, accidentally copied and pasted a space into your password, or used a “tricky” special character). The culprit is most likely that your SONOS component (or app if you are a S1 user) is a model that cannot connect to your router’s current setting...BUT...you can probably do a quick setting change to your router to fix the issue. For example, my old Connect Amp running S1 needs my router to be set to 2.4 ghz and 802.11g. My new router broadcasts in both 2.4 and 5 ghz (so no issue there), but it defaults to 802.11n only. Hi all,I'm not sure if this issue has been reported before — I couldn’t find anything similar after searching.I’m using a Sonos Era 100 speaker for Microsoft Teams calls on my HP EliteBook 630 G10, connected via Bluetooth.The issue arises when I answer or start a call (either incoming or outgoing). While the ringing sound plays normally, once the call is connected, there is often a delay before I can hear the other person, or sometimes I hear nothing at all, regardless of how long I wait. In those cases, I have to end the call and try again.Additionally, Teams chat notification sounds are inconsistent — they play only sometimes, almost as if the speaker is in sleep mode and doesn’t always "wake up."I’ve already tried several things, including disabling Hands-Free AG Audio, perform all the updates etc. but the problem persists.I understand the Era 100 isn’t Teams-certified, and otherwise it works great (especially for music), but since I work

SO I have an Ultra Arc, 2 rear ERA300’s and Sub.My question is, Sonos doesn’t support DTS:X so what happens when you play DTS:X content?  

We recently purchased Polk wired speakers for our outdoor patio setup, but when we try to play sound from the tv through the speakers, the sounds comes out glitchy and cutting out. How do we get this to stop and get sound without the glitchiness. When we play music through the speakers from our Spotify or Sonos app we do not have any issues with the sound.  The sound has been run out of the tv via HDMI and optical cable, into the house and down to the basement where it is then connected to the amp.
