Good day to the Sonos Community!

I can happily say that I have been influenced to buy the entire Sonos Home Theatre setup, with the Arc Ultra, Sub 4 and two of the Era 300s.

Now, the room intended to have this setup is given below. I took some pictures for you to have a look:

The Era 300’s will be installed somewhere on this wall
Approx seating distance to the TV.
Use of wide lens to show a little better the layout.

So, I was wondering if you guys had any advice for the best possible placement for the Era 300s to give the best possible home theatre experience. Also, if you had any good advice on placement of the Sub 4 as well, that would be awesome.

Thank you for your attention!!

Behind or under the couch for the Sub would be good. By doorways tends to weaken the output and by the TV isn't going to be optimal with too much sound going behind it.

Not an expert on 300 placement buton the rear wall, far enough in from the sides to meet the guides recommendations, and high enough not to bu heads sounds good. If not wall mounts custom stands to get the height might work.

Thanks for your immediate reply!

On my current sound setup (just an old Samsung HW-N860/XE) I have the sub around 5 ft behind the TV, almost at the corner of the wall. What are your thoughts about that solution on the Sonos Sub as well? It sounds punchy from the seating area.

That corner is likely the second best spot, away from doorways and the corner will reinforce the sound. It may not be as even around the room and need boosted a bit due to the distance from the seating, but as with any Sub placement sound trumps theory.

An extension cord and walking the Sub around the room, trying different spots is usually educational.
