Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

When I pause for about 10 seconds and hit play again, It says it cannot play this content and either restarts the song or skips to the next song in the queue. Also the scrubbing bar gets out of sync with the music. It will be near the end of a song and the bar will still be in the middle. I am on the latest app version and all of my speakers are on the latest firmware version.

I have a large open plan house so I use the Zones feature to create 2 virtual speakers “Upstairs” and “Downstairs”. Each zone consists of a combination of Ones, One SLs and a Five. Ironically the Five in the kitchen needs a volume boost compared to the One that is also in it - currently the sound is biased towards the One. The Zones feature has a volume trim feature to compensate for this situation. The trim adjusts the volume from -15dB to +3dB on a per speaker basis. The Five does seem to respond but a 3dB boost is not quite enough. I need to dip the One by a few dB but the trim control has no discernible effect on any of my Ones. Anyone else noticed this before I submit a bug report?

If I turn off the noise control modes, it's like all the bass gets cut out of any music I'm listening to, and it sounds much, much worse.Is this standard behaviour? I'm wondering why I'm forced to use a Noise Control mode to get decent sounding music, even in a quiet environment.

I just bought a used phone (Samsung galaxy s6) to use as a dedicated Sonos controller. When I go to Google Play to download the app I am getting an error message saying “This app is available only for your other devices”. It offers to install the app on my other phone and tablet, which both already have the app. Same story with both Sonos app and S1. Searching for ‘sonos’ in Google Play pulls up nothing! Same with clicking on the ‘Sonos Inc.’ link.Is it the phone? My old phone was an S6 and I used Sonos on it without problems. I’ll keep searching the archive here, but haven’t found reference to this particular problem. Help!Kim 

This has been requested in the past, but seems to have gone dead. I have an Arc Ultra, Sub Mini, and two Fives. I’d like to use the Fives for hifi audio and as additional front left / right channel speakers on the Ultra. Is this on the roadmap? Should I just return the Ultra or the Fives and wait to see if Sonos delivers what seems like fairly obvious functionality?

Hi, I recently added a switch 2 to my set up. When I did this I changed the order of my HDMI ports. Obviously, I kept my beam 2 in the earc port of my LG TV.  Since I made this change, the audio will cutout for less than a second every few minutes. It happens on multiple HDMI ports. I originally thought this was a switch 2 problem, but today I noticed it while watching my apple tv. I have a beam 2, mini sub, and to One SL speakers as surrounds. Any ideas on what’s going on here? I‘ve tried turning off and on again.  Thanks for any help!  

Hi, I have a Sonos arc and sub woofer setup and wondered what the options were if I bought a pair of Era 100 speakers? I assume the Era speakers can be added as a separate pair of stereo speakers  to my setup but can they be added as a pair of front left and right speakers for my home cinema setup along with my Arc and sub woofer or must they always added as rear surround speakers?

My Sonos beam keeps disconnecting from my WiFi and when I try to reset it through the app it cannot find my beam to connect it, but the odd thing is when I use the google voice function it can give me the news, weather and other things like that but it won’t let me stream my music. I’ve unplugged the beam for a few minutes plugged it back it and the problem still persists, app is up to date WiFi signal is good and strong just not sure what’s going on.  any help would be much appreciated thank you 

A month ago my playbase play 5 system developed a glitch when playing my music playlists The techs couldnt figure it out so in frustration I bought a new system Arc ultra and era 300s surrounds . I thought I had everything set up But noticed that some of the songs in my playlists were played in Dolby Atmos and they sounded awful and you really couldnt listen to them. I asked the community for advice and got a few suggestions of like turning off trueplay but I didnt really want to keep having to tweak the system every time a song was played in Atmos. Today I reached out to the support team and instantly problem solved. I had in the app Spacial Music immersive 3D button switched on. Big mistake If anyone else thinks atmos music is awful turn Spacial Music off and the music now comes out in HD or ultra Hd . It is very simple when you realise but all things technical are a complete mystery to me 

Called support few times and they all claimed that Sonos app does not support linking sounds bars with TVs but worked perfectly with music apps. Also app is not friendly at all, it should be when I link few devices to match it with a source right away. Too many maneuvering around to get it working. If u connected as a source to TV with multiple devices, u need to wait for 15min and pray that might work. Too frustrating, I am going to return my all sounds bars and keep Move 2 speaker. That is a great invention device. To fix the app, it takes few programming lines. SONOS EXECUTIVES should invest in the app.  What is the use of having great devices if your app sucks.Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.

Is this normal for a beam gen2?, please do let me know!, i will opt for a replacement from the retailer I have purchased regardless. I connected the LG 65QNED93A6A TV to the Sonos Beam Gen1 using HDMI eARC and it worked perfectly. When choosing Sonos Beam as the audio device in the audio settings with HDMI CEC enabled and Simplink, it worked fine.However, I was unable to switch the audio output from Sonos to the TV speakers or to connected Bluetooth TWS devices. When I selected another audio device (TV for example), the new device works for a few seconds, then automatically switched back to Sonos Beam. Therefore, I needed to disable Simplink every time I wanted to change the output. Enabling or disabling "AutoPlay" in the Sonos app did not affect the issue. It seems to me, that Sonos forced reconnects ever it detected TV connection. What I doing wrong?

Trying to perfect my sonos 300 positioning with limited room behind my couch. Any suggestions or is this fair positioning. Appreciate the guidance!  

I’m Using a Virgin Media Hub 5 router - I can no longer split networks after a recent update, greyed out… lost connection to all my 7 speakers. Playbar and Sub work on TV only. I have a mesh network - I have split the networks on that, but still no luck connecting speakers. I have a boost - I tried connecting that, but it kept picking up another system. It might connects for a few mins, but will eventually say no system available. Help needed, thanks!

I have Sonos Port connected to a Marantz AVR using PreAmp out RCA connectors and a pair of ERA 100s for rear speakers. The app says the Port is connected to my AVR but I am unable to get a signal to the Port or output to the speakers.Wondering if there is a setup issue here. Any help appreciated.

Ever since installing everything, I’ve been having constant connection issues. I’ve worked with both my IT installer and Sonos Support, but we still haven’t found a solution. Since it is a healthcare office we have 2 wifi’s - a main one & a guest wifi. I have tried disabling the guest wifi so there is no interference but it still happens.Here’s what’s happening: Every day, I have to reset every single Sonos speaker and reset the network just to get things back online. We have two Sonos from Ikea (SYMFONISK). These worked fine, but then the power went out and now it won’t connect. Last time this happened I reset and updated the firmware of the router and connected the Sonoses with ethernet cable to update the firmware on those too. The router update required that I changed the SSID of the network because it had illegal characters so I did that and had to reconfigure all my devices to the new SSID. This also made the Sonoses work. However, I don’t want to change the SSID of the whole network at home just so I can make the sonoses work…Here’s what I’ve tried: Factory reset both the Sonos and gone through the configuration setup again. It finds the Sonos and plays the chime and I write the SSID password, but then it says it can’t connect and that I should still find it in the app (which I don’t)  Resetting the app from settings  Reinstalling the app from App Store Connected on of the Sonos t

I am having problems getting radio stations and Sonos seem unable to help. They have told me to delete all services except Sonos radio, but there are no normal radio stations available!

Why is it every few months an app update bricks all my speakers!!! This just keeps getting worse and worse. What kind of a company is actually coding this rubbish???

have just purchased sonos era 300 when i try to connect to wi fi it tells me that it can only connect to 2.4ghz my router is less than a month old and works on 5 gh7

I have an Arc ultra with two Era 300 surrounds and while the system is functional when the surrounds are grouped with the arc ultra, the sound from them is modulated, by which I mean it gets quieter and then back up to normal volume, then quieter then back up to normal volume at a rate of about twice a second. This modulation happens with any sound source if the Era 300s are grouped with the arc ultra. However, if they're ungrouped they play normally with a consistent volume and there's no modulation effect at all so the problem is definitely associated with grouping them with the Arc Ultra. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I can listen to Classic FM live via Global Player on my Sonos system with no problem.  But how do I play something that’s available via catchup in Globalplayer?  I’m currently playing it through my PC speakers with globalplayer.com in my web browser.

Anyone here have issues with Trueplay it starts of ok and just stops I get the follwing message: trueplay something went wrong we are unable to custom tune, both my IOS and Sonos app are updated, reset my router, I can't get it to work, I even deleted the app and reinstalled and I’m getting the same error.
