Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I have a beam connected with One SLs in the lounge and the surrounds regularly stop producing sound and require updating, which fails every time. Unless I plug it directly into the router. producing error 30 or some similar variation.  In another room I have a beam connected to 2x play:1’s they never need updating and work perfectly. Never disconnect. All on the same network.  what can I do to stop this happening, it’s getting very annoying.  thanks 

I am thinking of upgrading to the new Arc Ultra (currently running the previous gen).  My current setup is Sonos Arc, Sub Gen 3, and (2) One SL’s as my surrounds. I’m also considering adding the Sub Gen 4 for a dual-sub setup.Question, with Dolby Atmos and the new Arc Ultra, could I add a second set of ceiling-mounted surrounds which would be positioned above and behind my (2) One SL’s?  Can the Sonos Arc Ultra pass audio to the (4) surrounds properly when Dolby Atmos is played?Thanks!

How can I confirm a wired network connection on the Sonos Arc Ultra? It keeps switching back to Wi-Fi without confirming the wired connection.

Simple, play music turn up the volyme. If your People cant fix this. Solution, sell the **** and never go back. Its not cheap and you are NOT capable to deliver. Pathetic, good product, wath can we do, i know!! HiNot sure what's happened or how long this has been going on.I mostly listen to a local library of music on my NAS.  I've got a number of playlists in m3u format.When i open the playlist in the android app and replace the queue with the playlist, it adds the tracks over and over again until there are >64000 tracks in the queue.  The playlist has about 1500 tracks in it.I'm at my wits end with this app and this is a new discovery today.Any clues?  Thanks.

This has happened a few times recently. While watching a movie, the sound volume will drop momentarily, and a voice (obviously automated CG) says “Yes?”. This doesn’t seem to be in response to anything said in the movie. It is not Alexa, but a polite gentleman’s voice.It seems to be an automated response, but not sure why it is happening. Any ideas?

Hi, I’ve been watching premium content via a few streaming apps, Dolby Atmos sounds perfect via the Beam 2.  Today I’ve noticed that my Disney + premium app will not play Dolby Atmos through the Beam.  If I disconnect the Beam from my Philips TV, the TV plays Dolby Atmos perfectly.  I’ve tried everything, changed cables,  changed/messed around with the TV settings and the Beam settings.  In the end I’ve contacted Disney support to see if they could help and I’ve been told that Disney doesn’t support Dolby Atmos through external speakers including the Sonos Beam 2, only 5.1.  I’m slightly miffed at this.  Is this correct, and if so, anyone know a work around for the Beam 2 to get Dolby Atmos?

If I connect a cd player via line in to my era 300 pair can I stream it to my era 100 in another room? 

I have looked through many posts on this forum and have come to the conclusion that I’ll never be able to return to the days when I was able to listen to all the tracks I downloaded onto my PC.  I don’t like using the Sonos App on my iPhone (which in any event can’t take the latest version of the app) but I do like the quality of sound coming from my speakers.The strange thing is, although the tracks on my Sonos Playlists always slip so that only about 5% play right through, I have no trouble with the few downloads I have on my Deezer Favorites playlist (I can’t remember  why I set up a Deezer Favorites playlist)I like my Sonos speakers so what alterntive use can I put them to?

- Scenario: I have my phone, I’m at the beach (no wifi), I have 2 speakers (maybe two Roams or two Moves or whatever portable combination)- Question: Why am I not able to play the music on both speakers?  I have the Roam 2, the Move 2, I think they have Bluetooth 5.0, is it a limitation of the Bluetooth?I remember my years-old JBL speakers playing all together with Bluetooth… so what am I missing here?  Is Sonos not focusing on portable speakers at all? I need speakers that work together at home and I also can use them outside.  I would love to hear a technical reason for the lack of this capability And no, I’m not looking for workarounds, like bringing two phones, changing the SSID of the hotspot and all that jazz

Hi - I just bout a Sonos beam gen 2 but I’m having issues in connecting it with my LG50QNED tv. Basically, when I start the tv set up in the Sonos app and insert the HDMI cable in the HDMI arc port both the Sonos and the tv don’t recognise that the cable is inserted. I’ve tried factory reset, unplug and plug, etc. Is this a common issue?

Is bluetooth an option for Play 1?

I created a big playlist in Sonos from a bunch of Spotify playlists.  We then changed the linked Spotify account and all the songs are now greyed out.  I changed the linked Spotify back to thd original but they are still greyed out.  Any idea how I can get them back?  

Sonos support helped me set up a music library on my desktop and it worked.  When I tried it the next day it didn’t work unless I turned the firewall off.  The settings allow incoming connections for Sonos and File Sharing (SMB).  Automatically allow built in software to receive is also on.  I obviously don’t want to leave the firewall off.  Any ideas please?

I just started using foobar2000 and to my delight found that it can push content to the Sonos system. This works fine on my Connect:Amp and Roam:SL, but something strange happens on the paired Plays (L and R).Selecting one of the plays results in a UpNp failure in foobar2000. Selecting the other one works fine, but then content only comes from one of the Plays (in this case, “L”). I can tell from the music that it is only left-channel content; the right channel is being lost. I can’t see a way in the app (either desktop or mobile) to group the two Plays and have foobar2000 see them as joint stereo. Even more strange, when I stop foobar2000 and go to normal Sonos content (saved Shoutcast station, for example), the “R” Play is gone, and content only comes out of “L”. It’s almost as if foobar2000 knocked it off the network. I can restore “R” but I have to do it through re-pairing devices again. I found some foobar2000 components that seemingly addressed this issue, but they’re all Windows

Everytime I do a system clean on my laptop using either Advanced System care or Advanced system Repair Pro, Sonos S1 Controller continuely being uninstalled or deleted.. so I download the app again and run it to repair and all is well until the next system clean… Any advice would be apprecitated… tks

For the past few years, I’ve been playing a 3 hour long White Noise track from Spotify on my Sonos One, as well as my son’s Sonos One. I select the track and then click repeat to make sure it continues through the entire night. We’ve never had issues using it this way in the past.Recently, and for reasons unknown, my Sonos Ones in both rooms will randomly start playing Jazz music around 5:00 AM / 6:00 AM. I check both Queues and the only tracks in each one are the White Noise track mentioned above, which is also set to repeat until I turn it off.All software and apps are up to date. I have no idea what’s causing this. There are no alarms set either. Completely random and waking me and my kids up early than necessary everyday.Any one else experiencing this issue or just me?Just had a 30 minute call with Support and after walking me through all of their suggestions, they too admitted they have no clue what’s causing this to happen.Tech, can you please take a look and fix this bug asap?

Noise cancellation is barely working when I’m in train or similar noisy place I still hear my surroundings, which is really annoying. In the Sonos app the noise cancellation mode is on  .. can I do sth else or do someone got a similar problem? 

JazzGroove used to work with our two Sonos speakers (Play:1 and ONE SL) at work. Now it doesn’t.I have deleted JazzGroove from Content Services and added it back. It still doesn’t work.I have two Sonos systems, one at home and one at our office. The one at home can still play JazzGroove. Although yesterday I deleted it from our home system to see if that would fix it at work. It doesn’t.It really would be nice to get it to work again. I’m on the monthly JazzGroove plan, so it’s not a matter of authenticating as dar as I know. Any suggestions? NOTE: I downloaded the Mac Sonos App and it upgraded my Sonos system. Now JazzGroove works.

My Sonos Arc voice control function will not control my Samsung QN65Q60CD smart TV. It took an hour of frustration to realize that Sonos phone support was hopelessly lost in the weeds on this problem. And Sonos provides no level 2 support to their customers. My question is whether the Sonos Arc is compatible with my make and model of smart tv mentioned earlier. Has anybody had similar issue? Any help is greatly appreciated. 

I have done like every possible troubleshooting combinations like 10 x each. BTW turning on, off, set up, reset,  resetup, add, remove. readd, create, remove rooms, surrounds, etc, etc!  Seriously. I know my TV works perfectly fine bc I tested it back with my previous Sony soundboard.. Anyone has any other ideas before I painfully declare defeat and make that dreadful call to support service ppl

I just got a pair of Sonos Ace Headphones.  I use a TIBO 3 box switch to connect my CD player, tape deck and record player to my amplifier.Any idea if I can play an LP through the TIBO via Bluetooth to my new headphones ?   Thanks!

My Sonos was linked to a large Apple Music library on my computer and working more or less perfectly up until a little more than a week ago. That’s when I realized that a lot of content went missing as I tried to play Christmas music.A text chat with a technician verified that over 2/3 of my Apple Music files were no longer in my Sonos Music Library. He had me clear the folder path in Music Library Settings and reattach my Music folder. That brought the number of files down to 1/5th of my Apple Music files. A call with a technician had the process repeated but this time with the technician handling the process through screen sharing. He got off the call before the Music Library was fully indexed, confident that this would solve my issue. It didn't- the number of files missing remained the same. A second call with a technician had his repeat the exact same process, but this time stay on the phone. When nothing changed, he suggested we do it again and when I politely suggested we try som

I have been a SONOS customer for over 10 years since the first SONOS speakers came out.  I have 10 speakers, Play 1, Play 3, Play 5 (Gen 1), 2 Boosts (one upstairs and one downstairs) and a new ERA 100.  The new SONOS (2) app causes slow response when changing songs either from my streaming services (Sirius, SONOS, Spotify, Amazon) OR my playlists on SONOS and Spotify.  I did not experience this slow, start and stop experience on the previous original SONOS app (v1).  I have a strong router (UNIFI) and 1Gb ISP, so my network should not be the root cause.  Nothing else on my WIFI network has this slow experience.  The Play5 is not supported on the new SONOS app, so I have separated it from the other speakers by using the old SONOS app (v1).   I am seeking possible solutions to the slow, start, stop issue that we are experiencing.
