Sonos Era 300 Inverted (Upside Down) Mount Setup Issue

Hi all -- I received the Sonos Era 300 wall mounts and because of where I will be placing the speakers I want to mount them inverted (upside down). I was following the instructions in the guide  if you scroll down the “mount inverted” section. At step 3 it says to “Remove the screw from the mount assembly. Rotate the mount 180 degrees so the screw holes are facing up, then reattach the screw to the mount assembly.”

I can’t seem to get the screw out to flip it. I have tried with screwdriver and drill and neither has worked. The screw doesn’t move at all. I called Sonos support who thought the 2 mounts I received might have an issue so they sent me 2 new ones but the 2 new ones have the same problem. Multiple calls into the support # and they can’t seem to figure it out.

Has anyone else had this issue and if so any advice on how to fix? Anyone else here able to mount in an invert fashion without any issues?

Appreciate the help

Hello @zb411, welcome back!

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with the Sonos Era 300 wall mounts being set to inverted position.

I had a look at your case and I can see that it’s been escalated internally, so someone from our Support Team will reach out to you if they’ve not done it already.

I’ve also looked around in our Community and while I can see some people having the same issue, others like shown on the thread below have managed to do it with not much trouble.

With my response your thread moved to the top of the latest activity list, maybe other users would like to chime in and share their experience.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. Support sent me another pair but they still have the same issue and they can’t seem to understand why so unfortunately it’s not resolved.

As I remember, you have to loosen/turn the bracket/lock before you unscrew the screw.
In my case it was a bit the opposite, the screw was loose which made the bracket hang a little, it had to be tightened before the bracket would hang horizontally.

I think their wall mounts are a bit crappy and will definitely buy some others in the future. Something like this. Multibrackets Premium vægbeslag designet til Sonos ERA 300

Thank you. Had tried that but it did not work. Ended up returning them and purchasing the Sanus mounts which were very easily inverted and quick to set up
