How long is this current sale on for?
I’ve been struggling with this new app for two hours now. So many things are missing or difficult to use compared to the old app. Please, can you continue to make the old app available for people who still prefer to use that one. I was fine with that app, and would like to revert to using it. Please give us a way to do that.
Sonos appears to be trying to do I’ve away long-time, loyal users of their products away with this new App. Is anyone else finding this App to be one of the most frustrating Apps ever delivered???. I have iOS. The prior App worked beautifully, and was so intuitive. It is not that this App is totally non-intuitive (although a giant step down from the prior App), but when you select a device to play from, and then select the musi you want played, and hit “Play” on its own, it has reverted back to the first device on the list (Bathroom in our case). I have to go through at least 5+ iterations to finally get it to work. Either go back to the previous App, or fix this damned thing. I am growing to hate SONOS, in spite of the fact that I LOVED it before!!!
I so far hate this new update. I have 10,000+ songs in my ITunes library that I ported to Sonos. I like to stack 10+ albums or 120+ songs to a Playlist for the day. With the new update, I can't load more than one album. There's no add to the end of the queue feature I can find. HELP!
How bad is everyone’s experience?Since the ‘new’ app (purely a vehicle for ‘Ace’ essentially) my system is now unusable. Don’t judge but i use Amz Music for streaming and have:4 rooms2 x Arc, 2 x Sub4 x One1 x Playbar2 x Move All unusable - rooms drop out. Trying to re-link them results in track skipping. I even paid for the Sonophone app - same issue I’m sure they’re aware.I hope they are doing something about it.Let’s remind them that we want action fast. It’s probably only viewed by a bot, but everyone should complain and detail their issues to: ceo@sonos.com(from the support page) That’s what I’m doing.
Very slow population of app, keeps playing and stopping half way through a song, cannot find system, cannot find recent. None of this happened with previous app.
Yesterday I received and installed my Sonos Ace headphones. They show in the new Sonos app on my iPad along side my other speakers/rooms. Today I went to sonos.com and looked at my profile/systems and the Sonos Ace does not appear against my account. All other speakers I have installed are there. The Ace installation all went as expected, is there a reason why the Ace headphones missing against my account?Diagnostic # * if that helps.Ross.*Moderator Edit: Removed diagnostic number*
Does the new app stop the ability to listen to music from the SoundCloud and Mixcloud apps? Confused on the music library people are say they can’t see or listen to. I have a long lists of liked music on both SoundCloud and mixcloud.
Why do I not get the option where I want to play the music I just selected any more? I would understand if your app controlled one speaker, but I have THIRTEEN SPEAKERS!!! In the old app (before you royally messed it up), when I selected music, the next step - before it began playing - was to ask me WHERE I wanted to play it. Since you put out this (AWFUL) new app version, I have blasted music in rooms that I had not intended to play music. What’s more, I cannot figure out how (in this brave new sonos world) how to play the current music on a speaker that was previously playing something else. I would like someone to tell me why you decided on such a drastic change, implementing changes no one could have possibly asked for. Case in point: I have almost 500GB of music - MY MUSIC - that I have purchased over the past 45 years. It lives in a media library that I can no longer access via sonos. WHY??? Just tell me that - what was your rationale? You made your product worse. What’s mo
I'm using Google Pixel, so the new Android Sonos app to control my system (Beam Gen2 + era 300s + sub).Prior to the app upgrade I had no connectivity issues whatsoever. Ever since the new app upgrade, every time I open the app, it says System Not connected. Sometimes after waiting for a minute or two, the system shows up.Sometimes after I started playing a song, and I come back to skip song or select new, the app again says System Not connected, while playing the song that I started a few seconds back. Every few seconds, the app loses connection. What in the world is going on? Why release an app with such level of bugginess? It has made my Sonos experience infinitely worse and I'm frustrated beyond words. Does anyone have a solution?
Hello,Since last app update, only me at home can access to my Sonos system. I have had to enter my Sonos account to be able to use the new iOS app.Do everybody at home need now to have a Sonos account to be allowed to use my Sonos system ?? That is really really annoying !Am I the only people having encounter this problem ? Thanks for the help !
Does anyone actually know if either SonosNet is still alive but „hidden“, or is the setup with the new updates just WLAN based?
I just wished I consulted the Community BEFORE upgrading to the NEW app (which I would have postponed until the SONOS dev came back to reality...). I am all for changes, fixes and new features (fixes and new features, in that order and not new features over fixes… spend time fixing existing problems before throwing more features into the mix). When comparing moving from Sonos S1 to S2, THIS upgrade is a disaster (it did cross my mind that SONOS pushed the BETA version of the apps instead of the final tested version...). What happend to the TuneIN stations preset, art covers, alarm set-up? The email we all received about 2 weeks ago did not mentionned any of this for existing users. I just hope SONOS will react to all the comments about this upgrade and provide a way to return to the previous version, until the new version is acceptable.
Hiyou do not write that the problem is WiFi-related - as you do in most answers!it is not - it functioned yesterday before upgrading the app. it is hard to understand How you can publish a version, that is so malfunctioning as is nor only me that is have problem - just use Google to see this. I have been a very positive user - have 9 speakers - but there has been more and more problems every time you have an upgrade to the app. We were told after our old S1 speakers was outranged - to a Big cost - everything should function for years? You have to do something quickly - the fire is burning.
SHORT VERSIONFor several weeks now, since updating the Sonos app on my to iOS and one Windows devices, I have been unable to play music from my own library. Sonos has ceased to provide the service for which I bought it ten years ago. I cannot fathom how this could possibly be considered acceptable. I'm out. Anyone want to buy one Sonos Connect and two Sonos Plays? I'm looking into Denos and Audio Pro as possible replacements. DETAILSCount me among the many people here who have observed they can no longer access their own music library through Sonos. I've had Sonos for ten years with only minor difficulties, but the most recent update is broken. My own music library no longer shows up in the app, either on iOS (wireless) or on Windows (wired.) I was willing to wait for an update to fix the problem, but you have updated the app (I had to sign new agreements) without fixing my problem. And I'm out. No more Sonos for me. I see Sonos is still very happy to let me play Sonos Radio or Audibl
I have two homes. At primary home the new controller is absolutely horrible, Can’t change rooms, won’t allow real access to Idagio ( Classical music stream) will not allow toggling between phone and I-pad and takes multiple attempts to stop music. Went to my other house with older components only compatible with S1 and, Oh my gosh everything works seamlessly and quickly. Switch from phone to I-Pad and access all streaming. Oh my how nice that SONOS can work again. Fire the developers of the new controller tomorrow. Absolutely horrendous.

Cannot believe how bad this most recent app update is, so many previously available features appeared to have been removed, not to mention how non-intuitiveness the revamped interface now is.The app also seems to very unresponsive or lethargic at best, with delays in processing the simplest of commands such as volume adjustments or wanting to play something from a music service, mostly Spotify in my scenario.Would like to know whether this is an issue as a result of power struggles between Apple, Spotify and Sonos. At the end of the day, we the consumer are being penalised so sort this out please.
Since I upgraded to the new app, sonos cuts off all songs played after about one third of the way through the song. It’s like that annoying DJ who interrupts a song just as you are getting into it. I have four Sonos one speakers (generation 2). Anyone else having this problem? It seems to me as if the new app needs to be updated. Makes Sonos useless!
Why is the new app so rubbish?
Is anyone else having massive issues with the app?it’s very clunky, very slow to respond, keeps skipping songs, I could carry on with the issues. what is going on!!!!!!!!
After the S2 app debacle should the CEO go? A company is it customers not the other way round.
Filled my house with Sonos. 7 products in all. New app has toasted all of it. I just connected each product to the new network. Everything was great… shut down the app… restarted it…..now it can’t find my products. This is a real issue.
With the new app we can rarely press the play button and play our selected playlists as we have been doing for years with the old app. We have to reconnect with the app, reselect our set up of speakers and reselect our playlist. For a business where we do this twice a day it is very frustrating.
