my sonos arc keeps having problems with stuttering audio, it’s cutting out at random times, this is really annoying, everytime I'm watching a program at random points, you can hear the audio cutting out for like half a second, I have an LG tv, and the soundbar has been connected through HDMI,i also have a optical audio output/input but i was told that for me to benefit from Dolby Atmos I should keep my Sonos Arc connected through HDMI instead of optical. thank you in advance for your reply.
Hi as per title - Is anyone having problem with Apple Music Recently Added? I'm getting Something went wrong. Try again.I normally use this ‘feature’ a lot I add new music in Apple Music app and then switch to Sonos to play it. I’ve been away a few days and just got back and I’m now getting this error. Everything else is OK. I tried removing and re adding service but same error. I’ve log the problem with Sonos support. Thanks
I have the PC App: Version 17.2.2 Build 90068190 and iPhone App Build: 83.01.11 - Most of my SONOS hardware is on Version 18.2 (build 94175110) with the exception of the BOOST Version 17.2.4 (build 86675110) and the Guest Playbase Version 17.2.4 (Build 86675110).Does all of the SONOS hardware have to be at the same version level?
There is a service notice about this posted now by Sonos now under Support, and it has been discussed in the “Update on the problems with Google automation routines” thread, but it deserves its own topic.A couple of days ago Sonos speakers using Google Assistant stopped responding to any media playback commands from Google, including Play, Stop, Set volume etc., although basic Google Assistant commands like “Time?” and “Weather?” were still working. Only Google was affected - Alexa, Home Assistant and other services could still perform those functions through the Sonos api. So either Google has their own api, or Google was being specifically blocked.Sonos suggests removing and re-adding Google Assistant from the speakers as the solution, but if you expect that to be less than straightforward, you’re not wrong. My Sonos app on Android successfully removed Google Assistant, but as others have been reporting for 5 months now, it could not re-add Google Assistant, getting stuck in a “No Co
Hi SonosI’d like to make a simple feature request to make the Sonos Five a lot more usable in aux input mode. Currently, the Sonos Five would switch into standby within 10 seconds after it stops sensing audio input. This is far too short and aggressive of a time. The speaker would go silent from the fadeout of songs, and then the speaker would miss the first few seconds of the next song as it suddenly springs out of standby. This is even worse with a pair of Fives. Then both speakers go into standby, then one speaker comes out of standby, and only one speaker plays, and then 1-2 seconds later the second speaker wakes up and plays. This happens not just on music, but on movies with quiet scenes too. Can you imagine the annoyance of hearing the speaker go quiet, miss several seconds of dialogue, and suddenly wake up multiple times during a quiet scene? This also happens on voice chats when I finish speaking, and the other person starts speaking, and I miss out on several seconds of what
Does anyone else have problems playing Spotify through Sonos arc ultra and surrounds with sky glass, I’ll be playing music and it’s cuts out to TV even though TV isn’t on?
I store all my music on my Mac. I’m concerned as I don’t see support planned for a native Mac app. Intel support is ending soon. How will Sonos access the music on my Mac without a native app?
Last night my Sonos One stereo pair stopped working while playing Sonos Radio. They show up in the app and both show they are connected to my WiFi with a string connection. I tried rebooting and can’t seem to play music through them. All my other Sonos components are working fine. Really frustrating.
The Android Trueplay toggle has been missing for some time, possibly poking the developers again could help?https://en.community.sonos.com/controllers-and-music-services-229131/new-app-android-missing-trueplay-6927790?tid=6927790&fid=229131Copied from Jamie A there, 10 months ago.I’ve checked with the team and there is an issue raised regarding Android missing the Trueplay toggle, though this wasn’t because of the new app as it was raised after it was released. The workaround is to use an iOS device to toggle devices using Advanced Tuning (Quick Tuning it still available on the devices that support it while using Android). I’ve tagged the thread with the relevant issue, but I don’t have any ETA to share on when it will be fixed. If I do hear anything then I’ll share it here.My last iOS device is going out of support, not enough memory to load 26.4 (I think it said) and I'd really like to have the ability to turn Trueplay on and off from Android.Borrowing a device to retune Trueplay
It keeps asking for location and accuracy
Since I downloaded the iOS update, S1 no longer works.
Hi everyone,I’m having an issue with my Sonos Beam (Gen 2) randomly disconnecting from WiFi, and I can’t figure out why. Here’s what’s happening:- After rebooting, it connects to WiFi normally- But after about 1–3 days, it loses the connection- When that happens, it completely disappears from both AirPlay and the Sonos appOn my router:- It still shows up in the DHCP client list (so it had an IP assigned)- But it does NOT appear in the active client list anymoreThings I’ve already tried:- Set a DHCP reservation (static IP)- Separated 2.4GHz / 5GHz SSIDs (Beam is on 2.4GHz)- Disabled Smart Connect- Restarted both router and Beam multiple times- Factory reset the Beam and set it up againSome extra context:- It always works fine right after a reboot, so initial connection seems fine- The problem is that it can’t maintain the connection over time- I’d prefer to keep using WiFi (wired connection isn’t an option in my setup)Has anyone seen something like this before or knows what might be caus
I have a Samsung sound bar and subwoofer Bluetooth… I was hoping to pair a couple era 100’s to broaden my Samsung surround system for a large family room. Can they be paired to the Samsung soundbar which is paired via Bluetooth to the Samsung tv?
Hi all I’m getting an arc ultra for my tv set up , so my existing beam 2 becomes redundant in tv room , and i want to move it to existing other room that has currently 100 stereo pair + sub mini . this is just music, nothing is hooked to hdmi - I’m really Not sure how to set up correctly . thanks
I have upgraded my broadband with a new router provided by Vodafone. I had to reconnect my Sonos system to the new configuration/wifi name. Majority of Sonos connected without any issues, mini sub and two play ones used as surrounds are proving to be as stubborn as it’s possible to be. The play ones can be added as normal to the surround option and then after 15 seconds become disconnected and have to be factory reset in order get them to connect to the system again. Same with the Sub only it says it’s been “added to my system but might not show up, if so unplug and plug in and continue in settings” needless to say this does nothing, it doesn’t show and is not connected. The sub will connect only if I connect direct to the router with a cable but as soon as the cable is removed the sub disconnects. I’m going round and round in circles and getting absolutely nowhere. The sound bar for my set up is a Sonos beam which is working fine.I have factory reset everything a number of times, upda
I am using a stereo pair of Era 100 speakers and wanted to ask if Sonos would consider enabling native Chromecast and Gemini support on its speakers.Native Chromecast support would allow users to cast audio directly from any app that supports casting, without relying on individual app integrations or the Sonos app to initiate playback. This aligns closely with how many users already consume music, podcasts, radio, and streaming content across Android and Google TV ecosystems.Gemini integration would further position Sonos speakers as everyday smart speakers, extending their role beyond music to voice assistance and home interactions. This would increase long-term reliance on Sonos hardware rather than limiting usage primarily to music playback. From a practical and adoption point of view, this could: Lower the learning curve for new users Improve interoperability in mixed Android, Google TV, and Sonos households Remove a common purchase hesitation where casting is expected as a base
SONOS closed this conversation on the community. YET , two years later the issue still exists. Has anyone actually found a fix? And why has SONOS screwed this ump so bad then NOT fix it? See all the screenshots in the closed conversation. I have reset, re-synched, signed in/out, powered up/down everything. Is there a real solution?
Hi there!Does anyone use a CD Transport and external DAC? With your Sonos AMP and Sonos System? I just bout a CD Player with a DAC included, and it has yet to arrive. I am wondering if anyone uses a CD playing that has a DAC or used a Transport & separate DAC. If you do, do or have you noticed CS’s sounding tons better? We have really been enjoying our Vinyl again, the sound is amazing! I am wondering if you use the Above digital CD player and DAC’s does it compare to playing vinyl, do you notice with the sonos system that CD’s sound just as great? What about with a higher end day and Transport? Is the sound worth it for an upgrade? I would love to hear your digital CD experience with Sonos. I have sonos speakers all over my house, and a couple ceiling ones wired to our AMP as well.Play 1’s, Sub, Play 3, Soundbar, is mostly what we use for music. Turntable is hooked up to a preamp as well. (through a switch box) I am waiting on the Cambridge AXC35 to arrive.what did you think?? Ho
My Sono arc sound bar keeps make a sound like a water drop. How do I fix this?
So I really can’t use a button to mute music/calls 1.5 years into the lifecycle? This makes me sad/mad. You guys are the gold standard.be better (please).
I recently purchased a stereo pair of Fives, and a couple months back a stereo pair of Era 100s. I first noticed the issue on the Fives that Trueplay had turned off (not by me and I am the only one using the app, etc) and the EQ settings had gone to 0 and loudness off also. Then I noticed this was also happening on the Era 100s., but no other speakers throughout the house, and there are a few. At a suggestion by someone on reddit, I factory reset the Fives and set everything back up again yesterday (set the two as stereo pair, performed trueplay, set the eq and turned loudness on). Today, the same issue occurred. Trueplay was off, EQ back to 0, and loudness off. WTH!? Kind of annoying. Is anyone else having this issue?, because to me it seems like an issue with the app,. and I really, really hope not a hardware issue since, of course, I dropped a good buck for these speakers.
It is time for iOS Widgets to be part of the Sonos App. Widgets have come to be part of the norm for many high-end applications on iOS. Being able to have a fixed or active widget populate when you get home and join the Sonos network to quickly and seamlessly start your favorite music would be outstanding. I have been using LYD, but unfortunately find it a little slow and clunky since it is not native to Sonos. I want to be able to have quick access to sound and selection of music. The Sonos app as it stands is clunky to navigate, with too many swipe down and taps to change locations. Also, I would like to see the ability to set preferred locations in the app when connected to the network. For those that have physical Sonos speakers around the house, this might not be as important, but for those of us that have invested heavily into Sonos Amps along with the new and exciting Sonos Amp Multi, we don’t have play/pause and volume buttons placed around the house. I would love for others to
Hi guys, I probably felt into trap I totally do not expect. I decided to go full Sonos, so spent like 4k on the speakers and accessories, but had no idea, that even these days, someone will build the device with one input. So - do you have any experience with automated HDMI splitter? Or at least some remote / home assistant integradable? My setup is:One side of room: Panasonic UB9000 Apple TV PS5 Sonos Arc Ultra15m HDMI cables running inside the walls into ceiling mounted projector JVC DLA-NZ7Until now I was using like 15 years old 2+1 system with many inputs, so I was able to sent video into projector and audio into amp. Was would be your suggestion, to keep get the max from the Arc?
Hi - I’ve been using Echo Dots for years to control my many Sonos devices. I have set up groups in the Alexa app, so I don’t have to say the room / group name each time. So I could say ‘Alexa play Rumours’ and it would play on the Sonos in the room I was in. I could also say ‘Alexa volume up’ and this would be applied to the correct Sonos speaker. All as expected.I now have Alexa Plus. The first command, above, works as before. But now any command to change volume is applied to both the Echo device and the Sonos device. I now have to specify the room name to ensure volume is only applied to the Sonos speaker. so I just want to check if this is now the new expected behaviour or not? many thanksAndrew
Is anyone else having an issue with the SiriusXM not showing up as an available service within the Sonos app? I have IPhone 16 and all apps/iOS are updated. I have also noticed that others services like “I Heart” and “Pandora” aren’t on there either. Not really caring about those, but would like to be able to not have to AirPlay it.
