I had a 4 year old sub that died. I sent it back for 30% off a new one. So to replace it will cost me (with tax) $600 for a 4 year old $800 sub. $150 a year to rent a sub seams unrealistic to me. Now that Sonos has become a big company they just don’t give a crap!I asked for help… fix it, replace with referb or larger discount. NOPE...not even SORRY. Just tough S___!I have a house full of Sonos & have recommended to several friends.NO more…
I wanted to play Apple Music via Sonos, the Sonos App said I needed to reauthorize, OK, I’m happy with that.BUT Sonos App said before I could reauthorize I *MUST* upgrade Sonos system?I was running S2 15.5 (last months release), and was forced to upgrade to 15.6 (release today) before it would allow Apple Music to reauthorize? Is this a new requirement, to reauthorize Apple Music you must be running latest software?
I recently purchased a new projector and a Sonos Arc when my last projector left this world. I got an Arcana Fury (based on a lot of recommendations in the Sonos Community) in order to switch signals so I could get Dolby Atmos out of the Arc. The sound quality is fantastic. But when I am surfing content in streaming services from Apple TV, the sound and picture are constantly cutting out before switching to the new signal. Is this an expected experience? It is borderline annoying for me, but my better half is pulling her hair out.
I’ve been trying to install the Libby service for the last 24 hours with a consistent issue: I kept getting the error message, “unable to browse music.” I keep removing and reading, giving it awhile, then checking. Same result. Any ideas? I’ve tried to unplug speakers and plug back in.
I realise that this can be a Spotify issue or some hack on my network starting this random playoff loud music. I raised a case with support that could tell me the phone and model that the command to start playing this unknown song from Spotify at 95% volume while I was sleeping came from. But as I cannot figure out which device is starting the music and why, I would love to be able to restrict access to my Sonos system to narrow down what causes this horrible event.I just experienced this wake-up call again at about 2:45 tonight and sent diagnostic 213402988. Same strange music at 95% volume but this time in a different room called “Badeværelse”.Is it possible to get the actual device name? And maybe even the Mac address?Does anyone know how to fix this? Or can anyone from Sonos support see anything useful in my diagnostic 213402988?This may not be triggered by Sonos, but my Sonos enables this to happen, and if I cannot find the root cause and stop this, then I must seriously consider t
Hello,Do you know if it is possible to connect a Sonos Move with it? :> A Bluetooth turntable (brand: MARLEY)> Pair with a Sonos Play:5 (2nd generation) Are there any constraints? Thank you, Moderator edit: changed Five gen 1 to Play:5 gen 2 for accuracy
I have a long house, that is covered with multiple starlink mesh nodes. In most rooms I have S1 speakers throughout the house with a larger set up in the living room. No speakers are wire connected. When I try group all speakers, I'm presented with the “Wireless range extender” error. Wireless range extender Some Sonos products are using the WiFi from a range extender device. If you include one of these in a room group, you won't be able to play music in that group. To ensure playback in all grouped rooms, you'll need to permanently wire a Sonos product to your router.
Hello can't configure one of My play 3 Say is already configured to another account, i already reset the play 3 but still don't work
I have a Sonos Move. It seems sick! The top touch controls don't work, and the Bluetooth wireless button doesn't work. It says it's charged the lights flash white, and I get an ora ge which turns to green but I can't turn on Bluetooth to reconnect to the system. Then after a while I get a red light. Nothing changed on my system, location, router etc.... this seems to have come out of the blue!!!Can anybody help?? Please
There are different types of Bluetooth codec supported by different devices. In layman’s term and as far as you may be concerned, Bluetooth codec has to do with audio-delay (lip-sync latency). In case you ever want to know if your Sonos Move is compatible with another device in terms of Bluetooth codec, then you should know it is SBC codec. SBC codec maybe the codec with the highest audio-delay. A tip that I can share with you to minimize this delay is to use a Bluetooth transmitter that is connected via optical cable.
The Sonos Sub-Mini offers great bass/low-end response at a substantial cost savings versus the Sub (Gen3). In a small to medium size room it’s more than adequate in most environments. I have a Sub-mini in a bedroom and in my garage bonded to Era 100’s in stereo pair. Although the garage exceeds (IMO) the definition of a medium size room the topology is concrete floor, smooth walls and ceiling with no plush accouterments. In both spaces the Sub-Mini sits in a corner using the floor and two walls to boost bass response. As with any sub...placement is a key factor to accentuate the bass response. Other than bigger bass (which is a given) another reason to opt for the Sub (Gen3) over the Sub-mini is placement options. The Sub-Mini (because of its shape) doesn’t offer the placement versatility of the Sub-G3; such as unobtrusively behind a cabinet or under a sofa. Just food for thought when considering which Sonos sub to purchase where cost is not the deciding factor.
I continue to get this error on Apple Music and YouTube Music. it happens on single speakers, paired speakers and multi speaker TV setups. it happens on all 15 of my speakers. it is ongoing for a couple months with no fix happening. Please do not close topics because you can’t fix a problem.
I rarely move the volume control out of the leftmost third of its range, often struggle to get a volume level that suits. There’s space to make the volume control slider much bigger. This would allow much finer-grained control of the selected volume. You might consider making it less linear as well - a large movement at low volume changing the volume more than the same movement at high volume. Thanks!
Hi, I am actively engaged with sonos support, but figured I’d ask around to see if anyone else is experiencing this too.I have a large system, which includes Play1’s, Play3’s, a Play5, a Beam, some One SL’s, and a Move. I also run two Boosts.Everything has been S2 for some time now and worked great. Last week I started seeing some of the play1’s say incompatible. I spent a couple hours on the phone with sonos support earlier in the week and resolved by factory resetting all of them. Worked a few days, then started again today, same problems.Worked with support and we managed to get them all working again, this time without factory resets, and the stereo paring went through a few hiccups but ultimately worked. I run Unifi gear and am well aware of what that involves and means and my configuration is highly tuned to be Sonos friendly, STP on the switches, nothing wired in except the boosts, etc. Lots of advanced settings on the AP’s to make sure everything is good to go. Used all the rec
Everyone is so wrong with my Sonos right now I don’t even know where to begin. It can’t access my music library, it can’t play my playlists, it can’t play from Spotify. This all just suddenly happened. I’ve been a longtime Sonos user, but I am increasingly frustrated with how unstable the system is. One would think the software would get better over time but it keeps getting worse. Reminds me of my old Squeezebox system.
After updating to S1 my Sonos system worked as usual by following an update to version 11.2.3, build 57381090, my play 5 Gen 1 will no longer connect. I’ve tried all the solutions as per the app to add a missing product, including the factory reset on the speaker and powering down router and hard wiring the speaker with ethernet cable.I’m left with the mute and dash button flashing green.Given the CEO of Sonos gave a written assurance that the old speakers would work with the new software, that must mean i’m due a new speaker from Sonos as clearly this is not the case.Anyone else with this problem?
Can we please get separate Height controls for the Sonos Arc and the Era 300s? On my setup I would like to keep the Arc height volume at 10 and era 300s at around 5, for me to have the Arc with a noticiable height effect the 300s are overwhelmingly high….they are superior to the Arc in height effects imo so they should have separate controls
HiJust installed Arc to Sony Bravia 2018. (Arc, no earc) Connected, downloaded app, added Sonos, fine tuned room etc. Result-hardly better than Sony speakers. That can’t be right, can it?(Hdmi passthrough enabled on Sony, DD+ selected etc)Any advice would be much appreciated.ThanksSteve
I’ve read several posts regarding SVC no longer working for Spotify and some answering that it never has? SVC worked for Spotify on my Sonos Move2 until last week, I agree with the person that started this thread, SVC and Spotify did work.
I know there are a few forum posts around for this topic but none of the remedies provided work.I have YouTube Premium and connected to my Sonos app. Some songs get access denied or account being used in another location but the next song from the same album plays fine. I can play the same song via YouTube Music app fine without any issues. What i’ve done:Re-authorized YouTube Music Removed YouTube Music Logged off from Sonos and YouTube music Restarted my phone Restarted my Sonos system Restarted my modem/router Used both Android and Apple devices Removed all devices linked to Sonos and re-authorized on one deviceI’ve even put up a YouTube recording of it working in the YouTube music app but not in the Sonos AppI’ve spent a lot of money getting my Sonos system but the Sonos app ruins the experience. Should just let the native music app connect direct to the Sonos system, bypassing Sonos app.Any other ideas or i’m just chasing my tail and Sonos really need to fix this?I am in process of
How do I equalize volume for all songs on Spotify playlists playing through Sonos from the IOS app?All the playlists are set to equalize volume on Spotify and perform fine on Spotify, but not when streamed through Sonos to my speakers. Having to change the volume up & down for every song is annoying!
When I purchased my first sonos products they were considered “state-of-the-art” stuff. But they seem to have stopped developing and improving. Sonos is not even mentioned in this Engadget article. Maybe they could give us the ability to use headphones with the system.https://www.engadget.com/best-portable-bluetooth-speakers-133004551.html
I have read all the threads on here on this topic but does anyone have up-to-date experience with comparing the latest equipment and software. I own neither so far, but what has caught my eye is a NAD AV amp which has BlueSound OS built in. This level of integration appeals to me. Most importantly, it solves my worry about the virtual centre channel in a 5.1 Sonos home cinema system using two Sonos Amps (subject of a separate post). Because of this and not wanting a soundbar, I have decided to replace my current AV Amp, initially planning on using the Sonos Port to deliver streamed music, when I came across the Bluesound based NAD alternative. The Bluesound amps (Power Node or PowerNode Edge) both also have a line level output - allowing it to drive a pair of speakers and give an input to an existing stereo. Sonos Amp doesn’t seem to have this. The Bluetooth app seems equally good to me, maybe it has been updated since I saw it heavily slated on here (5 years ago). I can wire most of
I'm looking to use my symfonisk lamps as TV speakers. Can I use a sonos roam as my wireless connection from the tvs Bluetooth and group the roam and symfonisk lamps together. Would this work?
