Very disappointed in the quality of the Sonos Roam. I am an ex-dealer and part of the reason we dropped the line is due to poor support and the fact quality has dropped on both hardware and app. The latest issue is with the Roam battery. This particular roam was always charged on the Sonos base with a Sonos power brick. It stayed there when not in use and was used sparingly. One day it was just dead. No way to revive it even with support from Sonos. I wish they had would stand behind their product but the only option is to receive a 30% credit….which means they continue to profit on the sale of the replacement since dealer cost is MSRP less 30%. No longer the high quality company they once were!
So on Android App version 15.8, but not sure when this first went wrong as I don’t use the Music Library a lot. The App appears to have folder naming issues but only on some folders, Johnny Cash has a nice mix of good and bad ones so I used it as my example.Thinking it might be an indexing issue I deleted the Library and re-added it, no changes that I could see.Got distracted by other problems and when I got to my computer today I noticed the Noson app was showing the right folder names. Can someone at Sonos see if there is anything in the Diagnostic?Diagnostic Number: 1983430384I do have a couple Rooms powered down right now, hopefully unrelated to the issue. So my Amp has been working fine and as usual until today where it was not showing up on my Spotify at all and on the Sonos app just showed up greyed out as disconnected. I have tried every troubleshoot I've seen I factory reset the Amp and it removed from my system and I’ve tried to reconnect it but every time it gets to the connecting to WIFI bit it just says unable to connect to WIFI check password or router. Nothing I do has resolved it I rebooted my router double checked the password and everything but it just won’t reconnect which is just bizarre to me because I have no idea why it would randomly disconnect and then not be able to reconnect. My Sonos one is working fine and as normal it is just the Amp that refuses to connect. It has occasionally dropped out in the past but this is different I’ve always been able to sort it fairly quickly before or a factory reset always does the trick but this just does not seem to be resolvable to me. Does anyone have any ways to resolve this?
I have beam 1 and 2 sonos one’s, with the beam under my tv and the ones on either side. It’s OK for TV watching, but pretty thin for music. Is there any way to substantially improve music for 5 or 6 hundred bucks. I was thinking about adding a era300 to the mix but maybe it would just muddy the sound. From what I’m hearing, the beam 1 doesn’t work with anything and the One’s are basically for surround sound. I’m starting to realize if my main interest is music, I have worked my way into a corner. Any suggestions?
HelloI would like to connect a Sonos Beam 2 soundbar to a 4K TV decoder and an Optoma H100 video projector. Can I connect the Beam 2 optically to the decoder with the HDMI/optical adapter provided and connect my video projector to the HDMI output of my decoder? Or if I use the HD Fury Arcana will it work? Thank you for your answers!

Has anyone had trouble connecting Samsunf QN85 to a Sonos Amp?I just upgraded from a Samsung Qled 70" to a Samsung 75" QN85. I tried connecting the same HDMI to my Sonos Amp but I am getting a message on the Samsung 75" tv "Your audio device is connected to a port that does not support ARC. Please connect your device to the HDMI3 (Arc) port." I ensured it was installed in hdmi 3 port. I followed all the protocols to activate arc through the menu and turned on CEC. I've factory reset it and turned on arc different ways. The screen recognizes the sonos amp hdmi but it flip flops between tv speakers and the sonos. It plays sound on the tv speakers but no sound on the sonos. The tv diagnostic recommended to switch hdmi cables so I did so. No change. And it continued to flip flop. I tested all the wires with an hdmi tester and they all passed. I bought a sonos beam to connect to the hdmi 3 and connected with no issues. It just wont connect to the Sonos amp. EXCEPT I connected a sonos optica
Anyone know of wireless charging bases or pads that work with Sonos products, that AREN’T specifically built for Sonos products? or does Sonos restrict us to their gilded cage?
We have a Connect:Amp wired in the closet and a built in speakers in the living room. We connected the app through Wi-Fi but since connect:amp is not bluetooth or airplay compatible we can not connect to Samsung TV only to music through the app. Is there any way we can connect the TV to the speakers if we can not move the Connect Amp (HDMI Arc and other cables)?
Hi all, recently had this setup working but now have physically moved the AMP in the room and it's now not working at all, have tried everything with no success!Playbar - Connected via Ethernet cable to router, working as anticipatedAMP - Connected wirelessly to router, working independently of surround setupHave tried deleting and adding the AMP to the 'room', restarting both devices, factory resetting the AMP and adding back into the overall setup. Playbar is WiFi 'on', as is the AMPCannot get the playbar and AMP to work together as they once did, any ideas would be much appreciated?I've got all devices on WM:0 and they are all stating connected.
Is it possible to add a new Sonos Five speaker with an existing Sonos Play 5(Gen2), Sub and soundbar?
Does anyone know if I can connect non Sonos wireless speakers to my current Sonos system
Hi!I've enabled Alexa in my new Era 100 and Move 2 and I have a feature change request.I've been testing some commands and I've seen that the volume increment/decrement modifies the volume value in 10 points.I think it would be useful that the volume increment would be lower, for example 5 points, in order to have more control in the volume change. Sometimes 10 points is too much depending the song.I hope you could analyze this changes.
My Magic Remote for my 2016 LG B6 used to control my Beam Gen 1 volume just fine (connected via optical because I need all of the HDMI ports for devices). Out of the blue it no longer does so and I’m forced to use the iOS app or the physical buttons on the Beam. I’ve tried following all kinds of guides to no avail. Sonos is still missing from the manufacturer list on the B6 when you try Device Connections setup too, so all the guides suggesting that step are no good. Tried tricking it with the old Phillips/remote type 4, that doesn’t work either Only things that changed recently:Updated iOS and the Sonos app on my phone. Update the system firmware through the Sonos app and re-ran Trueplay. Everything is still physically plugged in to the same locations Any ideas or a known fix?
I recently had the relatively common problem of only having the first 5 albums showing up from my Amazon Music account. But now, I have a different problem where I’m only seeing (roughly) the first half of my music library (from A through La). I’ve tried clearing my cache and restarting, but that didn’t work. This just started a couple of weeks ago (early- to mid- august). Any help would be appreciated.
Hello Sonos community! I've recently added some new Sonos speakers to my setup, and I'm curious about the best practices for optimizing the audio quality throughout my home. Are there any specific placement tips or settings adjustments that you've found to make a noticeable difference in sound quality and overall listening experience with Sonos speakers?
Hello,I currently have the ARC w/ 2 subs & 2 One SL’s for my home theater setup, used for tv/movies/gaming but not for music. I was wondering if the shape of my room would be OK to upgrade the back surrounds to Era 300’s. The TV with ARC is 14’ in front of the couch.I think I would need to invert them on the wall but any feedback or ideas would be appreciated.Side question - I currently have 1 sub to the left of the TV facing the couch and 1 sub placed behind the couch for some added bass feeling. Would it be better to have both sub’s by the TV (one left / one right) instead of the one behind the couch?
I don’t see this much so posting for those interested. The spare bedroom in my flat has no common walls to those on my floor and a concrete floor so in addition to use as a study I have set it up as a music room. I took the One in my bedroom and added a One Sl to it for a stereo pair. That was Ok but I am use to the Playbase that I have had for quite some time and it was a bit lacking in comparison. I bit the bullet and added the sub-mini and for a compact stereo setup it’s great. I played Dark side of the moon first up and as the volume of the heart beat effect in the opening track rose it was quite obvious it made a huge difference. The next thing I noticed was the improvement in vocals. They don’t mind a bit of effect on the vocals and that became clearer with the addition of the sub-mini. Next I played Station to station by Bowie. The base on several tracks benefit greatly from the addition of the sub, particularly Stay. Once again it also was clear there was an overall improvement
Hey all ! I own 1x ARC, 1x SUB, 2x ONE SL and 2x ERA 300, I found out that i can’t add more than 2 surrounds speakers in Sonos’s ARC setup,Some topics talked about adding my 2 extra surrounds speakers in an other group in sonos’s app and sync the 2 group, my first question is, has anyone already tried it and does it work in a HT setup/TV use ? Whatever the answer is, my real issue is about surrounds speakers placement and my couch Room Layout :You’ll find on the picture bellow how is set my room with ARC, SUB & 2x ONE SL : The couch is approximately 3.20m long on the part facing TV and 3m long on the other side,I can’t really get it off the wall, since the room isnt that big and walls are kinda blocking the way, it’ll just look weird, The ARC is bellow the wall mounted 55” TV, the SUB in the corner and the 2 ONE SL are facing the TV and are on floor stands, What would be the best placement for the ERA 300 and the ONE SL (if I can find a way to add it in the HT setup) ? Wall Mount
Good Morning,I was able to get it work this morning with the assistance of technical support but was hoping to get some more information regarding the issue. In short, recently I have been unable to play music on 3rd party apps via Airplay from my iPhone X when the Sonos is connected via ethernet. My iPhone 8 running ios 12 and a Macbook running 10.15.7 both have always worked flawlessly though. The story and set-up:I have had a Beam Gen 1 for my TV for a few years now. The beam is connected to my TV via HDMI ARC and has always connected via ethernet through a switch.About 1 year ago, the Beam stopped playing airplay music from my iPhone X via 3rd party apps. The iPhone X would show the airplay was connected to the device but no sound would come out of the speaker.I updated my system over the weekend and added a Sub Mini, 2 Ones, and an One SL. The Sub mini was hardwired to the switch and paired with the Beam and the Ones and One SL were connected wirelessly. I tested the iPhone X with t
I don’t remember my exact setup, but from my troubleshooting I think this will help some users.Setup is: Samsung A95 TV, AppleTV 4K, Arc, Sub mini, 2x One SL (rear).I had problems with 5.1 sound from Netflix, HBO, etc. when the soundtrack was 5.1. Strangely enough when sound was Atmos everything worked fine.I have done much of the troubleshooting tips, removing surround speakers, disconnect Arc, reset system (speakers), reconnect everything. Configure ntwork. Reset settings on TV. Reconnecting everything in a specific order, new HDMI cables. The lot.In the end, my solution was simple.Solution:Make sure your TV is set to eArc and PassThru for the HDMI to Arc - This is the correct setting. On the AppleTV:When watching something with 5.1 sound:Settings → Video and Sound → Format: Set this to Dolby Digital 5.1When watching something with Atmos:Settings → Video and Sound → Format: Set to Atmos(I have norwegian language, so path might not be correct!)This will hopefully remove the stuttering/
Hi, I’m having an issue connecting to my system via my iPhone. Half my system does but my living room set up (play base and 2 ones) has disappeared. It shows up on my iPad and also on my wife’s devices. Can you help? I’ve not changed phone or router etc
A few days ago I bought a move 2 which I am having a bit of a hard time with.It is a very nasal sounding bass boom box that can be used for talk radio when the bass is turned all the way down and trueplay and loudness are not activated.Music is next to impossible to listen to if it is not simple jazz music without vocals.Has anyone else had this experience with Move 2 ? Just a follow-up to my post. After I did a factory reset of my brand new Move 2, the sound is ok.But in my opinion the very low bass and midrange are a bit too dominant, but I hope this will be adjusted in future software updates. I was stumped today, iOS updated to 15.7.1, and trying a system update to 15.7 from 15.6.I got an update error, more details showed an error 30 on the Sub, tried again, failed.Restarted Arc and Sub, failed again, then iOS was showing status ‘updating’ with blue icon, now stuck updating. light was off on Sub, ie not flashing as does normally when updating.Opened Sonos Desktop App, about my system, all on 15.7 apart from Sub on 15.6. I assume Network OK, as I could ping all Sonos devices with sub 5ms response, also able to access Network Matrix on Sub and Arc. App said there was an update, tried again failed.Time to call Sonos support, so they could investigate diagnostic 😀They suggested cause was a network issue, as is normally the case for any Sonos issue.I wasn’t so sure, as I could ping all Sonos devices with latency <5ms, they have reserved IP addresses.I managed to get the update installed eventually, involved restarting Arc + Sub several times, then disconnecting and reconnec
