Is this typical that no speaking sound comes out of my added one SL speakers?I’ve got a very big room where the tv is and I’m far away from it, so it’s necessary for me to be able to hear the voices in my one SL speakers. Moderator edit: combined posts
Hello,I‘ve had my Sonos products for a while know and recently changed them to SonosNet. In the beginning everything worked well, but since today I just can‘t connect it to Sonos Net. The box is connected with the cable and I already tried to switch the cables, use a different box to plug the cable in, but it just doesn‘t work. Not even the box with the cable switches to wm:0 and a reboot didn‘t help. I don‘t know how to fix it or why it suddenly doesn‘t work anymore, I didn‘t change a thing. Does anyone have an idea on what I could try next?
I only have the Sonos arc, no other speakers. Is there way to make the movie soundtrack louder? The dialogue and sound effect come through, but I feel like the soundtrack/music in the film isn't as loud as on other bars. I've noticed this issue on a 4k Blu-ray movie with Dolby Atmos.
For some reason, I cannot use the ‘My Music’ function of the Apple Music Service anymore. It displays “We’ve run into a problem. Try again.” I have deleted the app on all my devices, reinstalled. I’ve deleted the service and reauthorized. I’ve reset my router. Apple Music works fine. It’s only within the Sonos app that the error occurs. Please help. Family account if that matters, and both users experience this.
In the iOS Google Home app, I added the voice assistant as a favorite. When use voice commands to play music on the Play 5(gen 2) or the Playbar(gen 1) the assistant just shows a google search. Both the Playbar and Play 5 devices show up in the Google Home app after linking my Sonos account. I added Apple Music as the default music service to both Google Home and Sonos as well. When I use Youtube Music as the default music provider it works.
I recently got a Sonos arc. Are there any wireless headphones that work with the sound bar. I have a Samsung tv
Creating a separate post regarding the below as this was marked as answered but the issue has not been resolved. I personally use Spotify Connect 99% of the time to play music to my Sonos speakers, I think we can all agree it provides a much nicer UI for finding and playing music than the Sonos app (and has better audio quality than AirPlay)… However I have always noticed it tends to be a bit unreliable especially when switching rooms (say you listen to music in the kitchen then go upstairs and want to switch to bedroom without pausing the music). This will work sometimes but on a lot of occasions the new room will show as selected but no audio will play from the speakers (yet the song time will continue to advance). Scrubbing the track will then result in it quickly skipping 2-3 songs, and the audio playing will then be a different one to the displayed “Now Playing” (typically the song before in the queue) I have recently gotten round to debugging this a bit more and have found a rel
Hi all!I have in my living room this setup:2 Sonos Five Sonos Amp1 Klipsch active subwooferMy subwoofer is connected to my Amp (there is no speaker connected to the amp)I’ve made a few tests to get the best from this nice setup but I’m a little bit disappointed because I can’t apply a filter on those Five. You know the same that is automatically apply when you connect the Sonos Sub (Gen 3).This low-pass filter allows the Five to give their best!Of course I tried it but bass was not as good as the Klipsch one.I’ve spend a lot of money to buy the Amp only to add my sub and I think it would be logical in my opinion that Sonos offer this software update to customers. What do you think about it?
Bonjour, impossible d écouter RMC aujourd'hui....?
Solar radio will not play on Radioplayer, TuneIn or Sonos radio.
I hope you can help. I have my Sonos Beam (gen 2) hooked up to my Samsung TV. It has been working great for many months until now every time I turn off my TV and put it back on later the Sonos does not work and only the TV sound works. If I unplug the Sonos and plug it back in when the TV is on, it will find it and start working until I turn it off the tv again. What can I do? I called Sonos and they told me to call Samsung. No one can help.
Hi all, i have a question regarding my just bought Sonos Connect Zoneplayer ZP90, i want to connect this device to my Mac mini using the 3,5 audio output on this device. I checked and upgraded firmware of this Sonos Connect ( S1 ). I have four Play:3 speakers compatible with S1 controller. I setup this system via de IOS S1 app and everything is working perfectly using my iPhone and app. But when i connect the Connect with my Mac mini using a suitable audio cable , it does not work :( No sound output at all. What am i doing wrong or what must i do to make this work? My goal is the 4 play:3 speakers working om my mac. So i can adjust volume and so using my keyboard volume buttonsWho is willing to help me out in this?Much appreciated
Been a Sonos user since day one. Big podcast listener and ever since I switched to Pocketcasts the product has been getting progressively worse. I’ll start by saying I have reached out to both companies, Sonos says nothing and Pocketcasts blames Sonos so no progress is to be made there. I first used to notice that the occasional podcast wouldn’t play right away then it was certain podcasts never play, then it was most of my podcasts never play. Now its practically useless. Of the 8 or so weekly podcasts I listen to, 6 of them will no longer play. The error says “The connection to pocketcasts was lost” So now what do I do? Both companies effectively ignoring the problem. It makes their tech unusable for me. As a consumer? Where do I go or do I just sell my stuff and move over to google products so I can stream my podcasts.
Hey, all. This seems like it should be simple, but I can’t seem to get it to work. I factory reset a One SL and want to add it to an existing system, Living Room. When I connect the One SL to my network, which is the same network as Living Room, and try to add it to the existing Living Room system, the app adds the One SL to a new system called Living Room 2. Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong? Why won’t the speaker just attach to the system I asked it to? Why does the process keep adding the speaker to a new system?
So I had a crazy idea.my living room has an AVR and 5.1 with ceiling speakers but no sub. The ceiling speakers are very noisy upstairs so it’s rarely used.I also have a sonos beam and symfonisk bookshelves as rears. Both systems receive the same hdmi feed.i am going to add a Sonos sub and I’ve been trying to think of a way to get the sub to also work with the existing 5.1 system for the odd occasion it’s used, and I’ve had an idea. what if I bought a cheap symfonisk bookshelf.Could I open it up and find some way of snipping wires so that it worked perfectly to group with but no sound ever came out of it?I could then make it into a room with the sub, share the audio from the sonos beam with that room (which is the same sound as goes to the ceiling speakers) Turn the sonos beam volume down to zero And then I should - should have ceiling speakers in sync with the sonos sub? Sound possible?
My Gen 3 casing is cracked and I need a replacement. Does anyone have a shell I could buy or know who might have one for sale ?regardsCarlos
So I've wired in one of my Symfonisk speakers and this seems to have solved the issue of the speakers dropping out of the system (and disappearing on the Sonos App - but not the Spotify App??)However my Sonos Roam, on a fixed IP keeps dropping in and out, and doesn't always appear on the Sonos App. However it DOES respond to Alexa voice commands...
I am trying to set up YouTube Music on my Sonos. Everything seems to go OK. It has me log into my account. I do so. It gives me a code to authorize my account. I copy/paste the code, and I get a confirmation screen that says, Success! Your device is connected! Then when I go back into Sonos to open the service, I get an error code that says, ERROR unable to re-authorize your account. I have contacted Sonos customer service twice on this issue. Each time they think it’s just a software update or something. But I have never been able to access YouTube music on my Sonos and have been trying on and off for 2+ years. Any ideas? Thank you in advance!
Alexa will not connect to my sonos roam correctly- it will respond but then not play news, flash briefing, or music. All of my sonos devices (roam, beam, and move) will not play spotify through alexa. I have called support twice, and already tried the following:On sonos app: disconnect and reconnect devices On alexa app: Disable sonos skill and enable again Disable spotify skill and enable again Delete all sonos devices and add again Deregister all sonos devices and register again None of these things have resolved the issue. I was told to post on beta community but I don’t have any projects open so cannot post on that board. One of the reasons I bought the roam was for handsfree use of Alexa and to play music with spotify- none of these things are working.
I have been reading the posts concerning this subject, but I am still confused and I am hoping for some help. I have a Sonos Arc with sub and Era 300s for surround in my theater room. I also have both a new tv and new projector that both support eARC. I would like to connect both to the Sonos Arc, but for the life of me I cannot understand which switcher I need. Do I need and HDMI extractor? I just want to get the complete sound (including Atmos) from both devices to the Arc. Thank you in advance for the help.
My LG 3C TV has E-Arc (port 2). Some articles indicate that the Apple TV 4K should go into that port. Then I read that the Sonos Arc should be plugged in that port. Which do I plug in that E-Arc port? I need to start with that question as I’m having other issues.
Hi all! I’ve an open space configured as the image I attach.Arc is linked to a 65” Sony A95k. I use all these as surround both for film and music (Apple Music).I want to upgrade sorround replacing ONE SL with ERA 300. Do you think is a good upgrade? I have to put upside down the ERA?Thanks
Just purchased a house that has a complete Russound audio system. I would like to keep the existing zones the previous owner had. I am by no means educated on home audio. Based on the pictures above I am assuming I need an Sonos Amp per “zone”. Anyway I can integrate the Port into this existing set up. Also open to any recommendations. I appreciate the help.
New Sonos Ray will not connect to my Samsung tv. Only Optical (ie. No HDMi) available with Ray. Is it a Samsung problem?
Hi, all! This very happy -- but recently frustrated -- Sonos user could use your help.My seemingly simple question: How can I effectively add an input for another device to my Sonos amp?My Sonos amp now talks to my TV, a CD player, a pair of wired speakers, and a handful of wireless Sonos 5s throughout the house. This set-up allowed us to preserve beloved old-school elements (speakers and CDs) while letting us listen to music throughout the house without spidering wires everywhere --- and it works beautifully! Then we decided to add a turntable to the mix --- and that’s where things got sorta complicated. We bought a Pro-Ject T1 SB (the kind with a pre-amp). Like a dummy, I assumed we could just plug it into the Sonos amp, just like our CD player. But there isn’t another in-line port to accommodate it. Bummer!Other than occasionally swapping the input RCA cables from the CD player to the turntable and visa versa (a clunky solution, but not the end of the world), does anyone have a suggest
