Speakers not playing spotify or will start playing then stop. I have 15 speakers 12 are connected through ethernet. 3 on wifi. Same network I have had been using for years. Now either the speakers will not start playing or will only play the ones on the wired network. I have not made any changes to the network either or moved speakers around.
My cable remote wont function when my sonos Ray device is plugged in, is there a work around?i cant change channels with the remote until i disconnect my sonos ray device
Hi everyone,I'm hoping someone has seen this before because we've reached the point where we've exhausted most of the obvious troubleshooting. This is a commercial installation at a shop.System:4 x Era 100 Sonos S2 All speakers on the latest firmware All on the same WiFi network Cisco Meraki enterprise WiFi Same VLAN Same subnet Same APThe issue:Every speaker works perfectly on its own.Any combination of 2 speakers will group and play correctly. As soon as I add a third speaker to the group, the Sonos app shows all speakers grouped and playing, but only the first two actually output audio. The speaker added last is always silent.I've now installed a fourth speaker and the behaviour is identical. I can only ever get audio from two grouped speakers, regardless of which speakers I choose.Another symptom is that when the system is in this failed state, the two speakers that are playing will occasionally stutter or briefly stop and start.Things we've already checked:Factory reset all speakers
I have a Sonos Ray and a Samsung tv (with no optical port). I also watch TV through a Roku stick. I purchased an adapter to connect it all but when I turn my TV off for the night, then come back the next morning. I don’t get any sound from the soundbar. What can I do?
Moving to a new place and planning my TV surround setup. I already have the Arc Ultra, but I'm looking to add at least two rear speakers. Space is pretty tight in the new layout. Does the layout in my attached drawing look reasonable for good sound?
I just got a Sonos and have it hooked up to a port which plays through my tower speakers and then also one other speaker in the house. When I went to go turn it off, I turned off my Morantz system Which the port runs to, but the speaker itself just kept playing music. How do you turn it off for good versus just pausing it I also couldn’t close out of the app
Cordialement
I have a new virgin hub and my 4 Sonos speakers connect as separate systems I cannot get them to join all together!
I relocated back to Australia from UK and having difficulty connecting my beam to my TV. Both products were purchased in the UK, appreciate help from somebody
Bass and treble adjustments seem to have disappeared from play one , play 3 speakers and the S1 app?
The two Ones have been set at the edge of the kitchen, so after being there a couple of years, they have stains. What is the best way to clean the stains? I would worry about getting liquid inside the holes and damaging the electronics. Let me know how you have cleaned yours: what cleaner and what technique you used.
I want to set up surround sound with my beam. I am about to install ceiling speakers and own a couple of play 3s. Would it be better to use the ceiling speakers or the play 3s. I haven't decided whether to buy a new AMP or use my existing ZP120 for the ceiling speakers.
Since I downloaded Sonos 2 for a new device my older soundbar does not work.
Hey everyone, I recently moved into a "luxury" apartment that came pre-wired with a Sonos Amp inside the utility closet, powering two passive ceiling speakers in the living room. I just bought a Sonos Arc Ultra for the TV. Because of the layout, I managed to hardwire both the Arc and the Amp via Ethernet. Here is my issue: The "Default / Surround" Method (Sounds Terrible): If I set my Apple TV to default "Receiver Speakers" (so audio goes through the HDMI eARC port to the Arc) and use the Sonos app to bond the Amp/Ceiling speakers as Surrounds, the audio completely dies. The system sounds incredibly flat, dull, and completely neutered. The "AirPlay" Method (Sounds Great, but a hassle): If I go into my Apple TV settings and manually route the audio via AirPlay to both the Arc Ultra and the Amp at the same time, the room fills with sound and it sounds incredible and punchy. (Note: In this AirPlay setup, the Sonos Arc and the Amp are kept as two completely separate systems/rooms in the So
Relatively new sonos user. I have a home system with 2 zones of hardwired speakers driven by sonos amplifiers. Just added 3 x Move 2 speakers that I will place in various rooms for regular use and frequently use as a group of 3 for sound on a patio area that has good wifi reception (same network). The move speakers work well individually indoors and outside and also work fine when grouped with one of the amplifiers / hardwired speakers. When I try to group a Move 2 speaker with another Move 2 speaker, it works for a few seconds, then the audio only comes from one of the Move 2 speakers, even though the app shows additional move 2 speakers are still connected and playing audio. The entire use case for the Move 2 is based on using as a group of 3 outside, so I want this to work reliably.
Saludos.
I recently got the Sonos Move 2. I have had an Apple HomePod in the living room for years, which I absolutely love, the big downside of it is it’s not battery powered so can’t really take it around the house or outside so I got the Move 2 as it’s portable. It’s proved invaluable because the radio stations I listened to on my old DAB radios in the kitchen and bathroom now require DAB+ and being able to play these stations through Sonos is a big plus. However, the one issue I have is the alarm. I have it set every morning to go off with Greatest Hits Radio. Some mornings, it goes off with Greatest Hits Radio. Some mornings it goes off with the alarm tone and no matter what I say to Sonos, the reply is something like “I cannot do this as there are no timers set.” Please tell me what I have to do to (a) Ensure it goes off with the Radio every morning and (b) tell it to switch the chime off when it gets it wrong? Thank youModerator edit: combined posts
Hi, I’m getting. 1008 error when setting up Era 300. I’ve had the speakers for 6m without many issues. One of the speakers dropped last week & I cannot get to register. Keep getting a 1008 error. WiFi is via Netgear Nighthawk mesh system. If I connect direct to the router then I don’t get any issues but the router won’t extend to cover the house. I’ve been escalated to level 3 at Sonos but wondered if anyone had any ideas. I’ve reset speakers, router and tried to set up direct with router then move to Netgear but speakers aren’t moving. Help
Hello,I am currently abroad and have an urgent issue with my Sonos system at home.A Sonos alarm appears to have been triggered unexpectedly, and according to my neighbor it has been ringing continuously for a long time. The system is located in Barcelona, while I am currently in another country and cannot physically access the speakers.I have tried using the Sonos app remotely but have not found a way to disable the alarm or stop playback. Unfortunately, my neighbor does not have access to my apartment. My questions are:Is there any way to disable or delete a Sonos alarm remotely when you are not connected to the same local network? Is there any way to stop playback remotely through the Sonos app, web app, or Sonos account? Are there any emergency options available in situations like this?Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as the alarm is disturbing my neighbors and I am unable to return home for several days.Thank you in advance.
Sonos is the worst company had Sonos ones and roam threw them all out too buggy app is trash I switched 3 years ago from my current system but it has never worked properly always had issues felt bad throwing away because of how expensive everything was but after 3 years and countless frustration I have finally decided to throw out the system and it was the best decision I ever made.
When I play music on my laptop I can hear it thru the laptop speakers. When I play music thru the Sonos app no sound is heard on my windows 11 laptop. Has something change with the Sonos app?Thank you
Sonos is playing via Alexa but the app can’t find my products?
How can I synchronize the volume of my Sonos Ace headphones with the TV volume? I want the TV volume to also decrease when I unplug them and lower the volume on my headphones. Currently, when I unplug them, they don't return to their previous volume levels; instead, the TV defaults to volume level 15, and the Ace to volume level 60. This happens every time I switch between them. It's a problem because the whole point of using headphones is not to disturb people nearby, and if you're using them at night, you don't want to disturb people who are sleeping. Now, when you play the sound back, the TV volume is too high for that time of night. Sonos should find a solution.
Sonos S1 Music Library Restoration Guide (Zero-Trust & VLANs)This guide provides the technical blueprint for connecting a legacy Sonos S1 speaker system to a modern storage backend (e.g., TrueNAS) across segmented network VLANs.The ChallengeSonos S1 systems rely on SMBv1 and NetBIOS, both of which are deprecated and insecure. Modern NAS systems (TrueNAS, Synology) often disable these protocols by default. Furthermore, cross-VLAN communication for Sonos is notoriously difficult due to its reliance on discovery and specific "ghost ports" used during the library registration process.Architecture OverviewTo maintain security while supporting legacy hardware, we use a Raspberry Pi SMB Proxy:TrueNAS exports the music library via NFSv4 (Secure/Modern). Raspberry Pi mounts the NFS share and re-exports it via Samba (SMBv1). Sonos Speakers connect only to the Pi on a dedicated "Legacy" VLAN.1.
