Dear Sonos Community,I have 2 Stereo Pairs of Era 300s with Sub Mini in my house and just love the sound and dynamics using the Sonos App.Just bought a third pair of Era 300s to use on our patio / winter garden for partys during the summer. The aim is to feed via line in from a laptop as I want to use a software that controls & synchronizes audio, video and lights (via DMX)(Audio stream is: Laptop -> Soundblaster GX6 via Optical -> RME ADI 2 DAC - > Era 300 Line InThe first pure audio test via VLC Media Player was successful, however the max volume and dynamics via line in on the Era 300 are nowhere near vs when I play the same track via the Sonos App. I test various settings re the input gain in the Sonos App, but this did not make a real difference.Since the Equalizer settings etc. in the Sonos App als have an impact while using line in, would I need to crank up the volume in the Sonos App first to the max level to get the full performance of the speakers via line in when
I’ve turned status lights on and off. Muted and unmuted the speakers. Any others suggestions other a piece of tape?
Hi All,Long time listener…I am having this issue in the Sonos App when I search on Spotify. More prolific artists have lots of albums but it only adds so many. I can’t seem to find this issue on the forum anywhere. Can someone help me out?
Hey guys, i hope somebody can help me solve this or can tell me what i do wrong :-)Just installed my sonos original wall mounts for the Era 100’s. The wall is made out of concrete, so i used the provided plugs and everything went well. Now i have 2 problems with both mounts it seems; At step 6 i need to place the wall mount into the bracket on the wall and slide it down to “lock” it. Both of my wall mounts wont lock and they’re loose. I can wiggle and move them and this prevents me from positioning the speakers right. So the part with the speaker does not lock tightly with the part on the wall. The 2nd problem is that the mount does not seem to hold the speakers weight well at the ball joint. I unlock the mount with a 90 degrees turn, then i position the Era 100 right and then i lock the mount again. The speaker will not stay in place and the speaker sacks down like its too heavy. See these video’s for the problems: https://imgur.com/a/i5Vl9QlThank you guys!
I have a daily alarm set on one of my Sonos speakers. If I disable that alarm in the app, eg when on holiday, the alarm is successfully cancelled on the speaker, but on the phone app I still get a notification each day to say that the alarm has started. Is this a bug - is there a fix?
Unable to set alarms. System fully updated. All existing alarms deleted but nothing new is saving.
Have seen lots of comments on this. Purchase the Sonos Ace headphones for my wife last week at the airport, and when plugged in to watch a movie, the sound is barely heard. This is using the USB C to 3.5mm cable. Good to know the issue isn’t isolated to me but not good to hear it might be a broader issue. Has a resolution been identified? Thinking it will be easier just to get a refund and buy the Sony WX5’s as this is what I use and there has been no issues. Main reason I purchased the Sonos Ace was because the Sony WX5’s don’t bluetooth well to the Sonos Arc on my TV and Sonos advised there is a known issue with LG, so best to the buy the Sonos Ace headphones. Go figure...
Cosa devo fare?
Info overload trying to find this answer….I am not smrt when it comes to this type of thing. We have a Sonos amp, which we have situated in the furnace room next to the smart wiring in our home. The kitchen ceiling speakers (not Sonos) are connected to the Sonos Amp in that furnace room as that is where the ceiling speaker connections are located. Now my question…..it is possible to connect the tv on another floor to the Sonos Amp via the smart wiring (somehow) in the furnace room without moving it from the furnace room? Like through the router? ethernet cable? or some other way…..I know it is likely easiest to connect the amp directly to the tv using the arc; however there would be no way to connect the ceiling speakers as there are no wires to connect them near main floor tv.I am hoping someone can make sense of my question……..
As the title suggests - I strongly suspect my 3 year old Playbase’s WiFi card has given up (I know how common this issue is/was). It has gone from the app and no amount of un-plugging from the wall, or re-booting the router helps. It is used in my bedroom as a standalone TV speaker and to be honest, that is all I use it for. It still works with the TV and luckily I had programmed the TV remote to control it and had the bass and treble levels all set up as I wanted it.From my understanding of searching the web, Sonos no longer replaces these like they once did and only offer a money off coupon upon the return of said Playbase. So my question is, I assume it will continue to work totally fine with the TV via the optical cable and therefore I should not worry about the lack of connection to the internet? If that is the case, it’s better for me to just keep it rather than spend money on another speaker that will only ever be used with the TV upstairs.Oh and to add - it does not show as conn
My Sonos One won’t connect to my new router via wifi
Por que cartonean mis sonos ace cuando subo todo el volumen Moderator edit:Google Translate-Why do my sonos crackle when I turn the volume up all the way?
I had to update the app and now my Arc and TV won’t connect, they were working together just fine….how do I fix it? Why is it every time there is an update, it takes hours to fix my system…..what’s up with that Sono’s???
Unable to activate anything on Sonos S1 app, new something was wrong this morning when alarm was Sonos chime and not the radio, and the unit wouldn't respond to voice command
Hello! I just wanted to ask if others have experienced this potential bug; when running Era 300s as surrounds for an Arc Ultra in music mode, the Full/Ambient surround settings change the the sound of the Era 300s even when I’m playing Atmos music (this is through Apple Music on the Sonos app). The description of the setting, however, states that Full/Ambient shouldn’t apply to Atmos playback. I’m curious to know which setting, if either, is the intended EQ for the surrounds.
I could manage issues prior to the big beautiful app upgrade.I have had my One and One SL speakers for years. I have one plugged into ethernet. Two of my other speakers were struggling to stay stereo paired and I thought installing a mesh network to boost signal for Sonos would help. Not so much. I have to reboot my Iphone every time to get Sonos to “find my system”. In Network configuration Sonos shows two instances of my network. Those are the original network, and the mesh network I was encouraged to give the same name as the original. For example, my original network is named dummy123 and my mesh network install prompted me to name the mesh network dummy123. My Sonos system is on its own network on Channel 1
Play 1 light steady green. In Sonos app it shows with flickering I think indicating connected to wifi. But it is grey and I can move volume but it is grey and no sound
Until recently I regularly used my Amazon Echo Dot (Alexa device) to start playing music from Apple Music on my Sonos speakers using the Alexa Sonos skill. Recently it stopped working--either nothing plays or Alexa gives some “I can’t do that” error. If I have the Sonos app open on my phone while this failure is happening, I can tell my request to Alexa has succeeded in part because I see a stream of messages like this in the app:In the Sonos app I can search for something and pick a match from Apple Music and successfully play the matching track. All of this implies to me that there’s neither a networking problem nor a problem with my Sonos system’s connection to Apple Music. (I did the “reauthorize” operation just in case; it didn’t help.)Any ideas?
Hi! I have the Sonos One speaker, and the Sonos Ikea speaker, and it’s always had a big issue playing podcasts from Spotify. Playing music from audio (via Airplay, or the other option where it’s not airplay but I just choose the speaker in Spotify) works perfectly. With podcasts it will just randomly stop for 5 seconds and start again. This happens whether I use the Airplay option in Spotify, or the option where I choose the speaker in Spotify. Any solution??s
Hello, I cannot use my Sonos Ace microphone on online calls (Google meets, Microsoft teams...) when I choose the stereo sound output (which is the sound quality I prefer because the Hand-Free AG audio is not good), only my laptops audio is possible to use. I could use both audio output and headsets microphone on my previous Airpods pro, so i don’t understand why i cannot use them on my Sonos Ace.
I’ve noticed a few times already when I pause a movie or TV show for a couple of minutes then resume playing, the Beam doesn’t output any audio even though it is on and I can control the volume up and down. The audio output is set to “ auto” default settings in my TCL Tv. It’s connected via HDMI arc the TV supports Dolby Atmos. My usual fix is to turn off the tv and turn it back on, a bit annoying
Hello! I have a question regarding the intended behavior of two Era 300s as surrounds in an Arc Ultra set up. It feels to me like the Era 300 side drivers are noticeably louder (maybe 6dB?) than the rear drivers. I’ve noticed that when turning down the surround volume slider you can make the sides match the rears, as that slider only changes the side volume and not the rears. With default settings after TruePlay, this imbalance doesn’t sound ‘bad’, but I am wondering if this is the intended behavior. I want to make sure that when every slider is set to ‘0’ (after TruePlay) I’m getting the closest experience to what Sonos/Giles Martin & co tested/approved. Thank you! Edit for clarification: this is when playing Atmos from Apple Music through the Sonos app. This behavior is consistent between quick and advanced TruePlay with multiple rounds of each performed.
I have a new Arc Ultra paired with an amp that has four in ceiling speakers and am also using a wired Polk Sub that I had. Whenever I change the Arc to use “Surrounds” the sub woofer doesn’t work. The only way I can get it all to work at the same time is to keep them separated and turn the volumes up for both. That creates a bit of an odd echo though and isn’t really surround. Any thoughts on what I’m doing wrong?
In the lounge I have an Amazon Echo speaker and a Play One SL. For the last few years I have been able to ask Alexa to Play Apple Music and it would play over Sonus. Two days ago is started having trouble and displayed a message in the Sonos App “The connection to play.iTunes.apple.com was lost” I can use the Alexa voice command on the Echo speaker to play Apple Music on the Echo speaker so the Apple Music Skill is connected correctly. I can use the Sonos app on a mobile device to play Apple Music and I can then use Alexa commands on the Sonos speaker to skip tracks. I can use Alexa voice commands on Sonos to ask for time, weather, control lamps and TV. If I change to the Sonos voice assistant commands I CAN play Apple Music using voice commands. The only combination that does not work is using Alexa voice commands and asking to play Apple Music on Sonos. I CAN use Alexa voice commands to play streaming radio. To date I have:Followed the advice on the Sonos help pages by Disabling and
This is more of a feature request.I would like to plugin the optical output of a CD player into a pair of ERA-300.(I know you can get an analogue USB-C adaptor but that goes digital to analog to digital)I would like a clean digital path to the DAC’s inside the era 300’s direct from a CD transport
