Controllers and Music services

Every so often sonos requests I reauthorise the Apple Music service. This now immediately triggers a sense of mounting horror as I know what happens next.  I try to reauthorise and it says my Apple ID password is incorrect.  I delete the service and try to reload it, it says the password is incorrect.  I delete the sonos app and reload it, then try to add Apple Music again and it says the password is incorrect. The only way I can get it to work is to CHANGE my Apple ID password and then try again.  I shouldn’t have to do this!  Please can someone tell me how to sort this out once and for all?  I don’t want to throw my sonos speakers in the sea (well, I do a bit actually) and buy Apple ones instead as they’re expensive but I don’t think I will get this problem if I do so.  

RTE radio 1 seems to have disappeared from Tunein and though it appears as a choice in Sonos radio, won't play. This has just happened in the last few days. Anyone else with this?

When playing songs from both Tidal and Spotify I get the error message “Can’t play XXX the track isn’t encrypted correctly” and skips to next track of the album and so it goes on.This is very annoying, please help. 

Hi getting frustrated now, this keeps repeatedly happening for no apparent reason at all. Go to play / use apple music via Sonos app on either phone or desktop app i’m told to reauthorise apple music. WHY? On the desktop it just doesn’t work. On the iphone it again doesn’t work - it just spins when i enter password - EVEN THOUGH I AM ALREADY LOGGED INTO MY apple id!!! Can we please just get a fix?? I am quite apple and Sonos savvy but this is just ridiculous. PLEASE HELP. Ive used Sonos since its inception and apple from way back but i must say it is getting very glitchy… let’s hope someone has an answer.

Hi! I was wondering if it is a known issue that last.fm scrobbles through the Sonos app (I am on iOS) are very delayed. They work just fine through the Spotify application itself (Spotify and last.fm integrate via their website). I noticed some people reporting this at the lastfm subreddit. I have tried disconnecting my Spotify account through the application and reinstalling the Sonos app, and of course having to re-add my Spotify account. If I connect my last.fm account in the Sonos app, then I will eventually get double scrobbles (the ones through the Sonos app via last.fm account scrobble immediately). Could there be a communication problem between the Sonos app and Spotify? I just observed scrobbles from my playing last night, they took around 12 hours, and my ones from a couple of hours got added too, so, seems they only get sent in batches, and delayed anywhere from 2-12 hours! I was recently gifted the S1 G2 and subsequently bought Beam. Google Assistant works perfectly however I am having issues with Apple Music playing via the Google Assistant on both the S1 G2 and Beam. Apple Music plays through AirPlay and also via the Native Sonos app with no problems. I have removed Apple Music from the Sonos app and re-authorized many times to no avail. I've also removed the Sonos app and redownloaded...again to no avail.I have no extenders in my home and the channel seems to be clear. Any thoughts?

I have just moved overseas and set my Sonos up on the new wifi and the UK radio stations arent working any more from the app.  BBC radio works but not commerciql radio.  Any reason for this?  

In the last couple of days I have not been able to see my audible audiobooks in the Sonos App (and in the Sonos controller on a mac), when I go to the audible section in the app (I use Audible.co.uk) I just get the message “Could not browse Music” instead of the normal list of audiobooks. Now I tried re-adding the service, that did not solved the problem, I tried to re-authorising my account that did not solve it either. I can see the audiobooks I have added to MYSONOS (the books I listening to right now) and they also show up in the recently played list but I cannot see my entire library in the audible section of the app. Now I do have a lot of audiobooks in my audible library 400+ but I have never been able to use the search function in the Sonos app to find my books (it always just say “an error has occurred try again”) so without the list I am rather unable to find and listen to my audiobooks on my Sonos speakers (Now I do know I can play them through the Audible app via Airp

In trying to play songs with a crossfade so one song blends into the next on Spotify, something which works on Spotify natively and any other speaker system we've played it through, the Crossfade does not play correctly through Sonos. There is no crossfade when playing Spotify on Spotify but with the sound coming out of the Sonos system. What can we do about this! It's not groovy when a song ends abruptly and there's space and then another song starts.

After accidentally logging out of Apple Music, I ran into the recurrent loop of Sonos trying to reauthorize Apple Music without ever completing the task. The following was the maddening cycle which happened on my old iPad 2: Sonos popup appears asking to Reauthorize Apple Music Account - only option is to click button that says “Reauthorize Account.”  After clicking Reauthorize Account, iTunes app appears and it thinks for a long time and then finally a popup window appears saying: “The apple ID ________________ will be used for Apple Music on Sonos.” This popup window has only one option which is a “Continue” button. After pressing the Continue button, nothing happens for a while. Then Sonos app re-appears with the original popup asking you to reauthorize Apple Music.  Go back to Step 1. After trying all different options including logging in and out of Sonos and Apple Music, I found one simple solution. After you Reauthorize once, enter your iTunes password, and then see the Reau

Greetings,I’m not having any luck getting my iTunes playlists to show up under Imported Playlists in the “Music Library” source. Here are my specs:Computer is running Windows 10 iTunes v12.11.0.26 Using the Sonos 2 app (had the same results on the Sonos 1 app, then tried updating to Sonos 2 to see if that would make any difference) Sonos system is freshly updated as well v12.2.2, build 61183220 What I’ve done so far:I don’t have my music in the “My Music” folder, but I have successfully pointed Sonos at the parent folder with that does have the albums and such in it, and can play those no problem I tried exporting a few playlists as XML into the parent folder that has the artists / albums as subfolders also created a “playlists” folder inside the parent folder and copied the same XML files into there I also tried exporting the entire iTunes library as an XML file into the parent folderAfter each export of XMLs I’ve updated / re-indexed the music library, and I can still play the musi

Hi, l have been a Sonos user since 2005 and lost all my playlists yesterday… My family is devastated so I hope someone can help me restore them. I was changing a router and factory reset all my Sonos one units and this seems to have erased all my history. I thought my settings were tied to my user account in the cloud...I do own some old ZP100 that I was still using 6 months ago, co-existing with some Sonos One units in my old network before I moved house. Is there a way I can use those to recover my playlists? I would be very grateful if someone has a solution.Thanks a lot! 

Isn’t it about time Sonos sorted this error out?No updates, no altering files, no upgrade, no changes whatsoever.Can connect yesterday, and the day before and since the last update no problem, now today, as usual with its periodic glitches it can’t find the music files - no one moved them, or changed them so why can’t it suddenly find them on a computer dedicated to playing Sonos?

I got a new iMac and moved my library over to the new computer.  My new computer will not allow the Sonos to connect.  I checked the firewall and the sharing folder.  Still won’t connect. Need help 

I tried to add Overcast to the Sonos app. Unfortunately I got the information that my username/pw unkown. After that I tried to login directly on oercast.fm, it works. Anybody an idea why I cannot add that service to Sonos?  

I have Sonos playbar and added my Gaana account to stream the music. When I search songs or movie names, Sonos app doesn’t show any results but when I do the same search in Gaana app it display the results.It is very frustrating because Sonos playbar can be used with Sonos App if we are not connected to the TV and music search don’t work.Any suggestion on this or is this a know issue with Sonos APP

So many questions, so few answers: I have 2 Play 1s and two Play 5s. The latest software update has left the S1 software unable to see the Play 1s and the S2 software unable to see the Play 5s and me unable to rewind to the state I was in before The S1 software cannot ‘see’ my computer and so I cannot connect with my computer based music library The S1 software can no longer see’ my YouTube Music library  I have just about had it with Sonos. I am ready to trash the lot. I need HELP. I have many opinions but . I need HELP from Sonos. A human being. A voice. Someone who is going to fix the mess that they have created. How do I contact these people ?

This is what I see when I click on Amazon Music in the S2 app.  Unlimited is not there.  All I can do is play things that I have added to My Music.  I cannot see or search unlimited.I have an Amazon Music Unlimited subscription in Germany and my Sonos account and devices are also registered in Germany.Any ideas?  

When I try to access My Music via Apple Music, I get the following error message: Unable to play “song title” - the connection to Apple Music was lost.  I have spent hours trying to troubleshoot this. Can anyone help?

Hi Yesterday I bought a Sonos Port so I could be using my streamingservices Apple Music and Tidal on my own stereo.Unfortunately I have an issue using Apple Music, as none of the artist in my own library are shown with pictures but only the dull round white icon with a red microphone inside.I do know that the artists can be shown with pictures, because if I do a search for an artist f.ex. James Taylor I can see the artist correctly in Apple Music but without pictures in my own library inside Apple Music.What can I do to fix the issue?Thanks in advance. Kind regardsFlemming Andreassen

I’m about a month Into using my Sonos Arc and Sonos One. I’ve been an Apple Music sub for only 3 months, so I’m not really familiar with them ,too. But, I can find albums on Apple that I can’t seem to find using the Sonos connection to Apple. And, today, after finding music on Apple, like NYE 2021 Carl Cox DJ mix, I they look for it in MySonos. I can find one cut from that album, then find the album from that cut, then play the album. It doesn’t show under Recently Played. And when I add it to MySonos, it doesn’t show up. Even though I can go back and try to add it again and the message offered me to remove it from MySonos. Am I doing something wrong here? I do realize that Apple is controlling responses to what I assume are Sonos data requests.  Does the same thing happen on other services?

I have a few shows from the BBC saved in my Sonos. The latest shows no longer can be found on my Sonos not when searching for them. It seems to only find shows from a month of so ago ..

I have connected my SONOS S1 system to a new DELL desktop computer and now can not access my “Music Library” but can access other music sources, i.e. Spotify, Pandora etc.
