I have a number of local playlists stored using Itunes on a local drive. They appear correctly on my iPhone se (1) but not on my iPad. If I launch one on my phone it appears as playing on the iPad and I can chop and change the music. But does not appear as a played item when next I use the iPad. Driving me mad. This is a relatively recent phenomenon.

Have you tried rebooting your iPad?
Frequently!! Maybe it is iPadOS, I am on 14.8.1. The iPhone is on 15.2
You might try deleting and re-installing the Sonos app on the iPad and rebooting your router.
Done all that! A little Sonos dilemma. It used to work but something changed, but I wish I knew what!
