Controllers and Music services

Beginning this week, I can no longer play any podcasts from Pocket Casts. I have restarted the speakers, the router, updated everything to 12.2.1 (build 61183170) but whenever I try to play any podcast, I get the following: “An error occurred while adding tracks to the Queue (701).” (I’ve also attached a screen shot of the error.)Is it just me? 

This morning my pair of Play1’s are unable to connect to live streams from SiriusXM. I’m able to stream to devices like my iPhone and computer. I’ve done all the recommended steps (ensured latest version of software, rebooted router, power cycled speakers, etc)  I can’t find any ‘current’ reported issues and the dashboard says SiriusXM is working. 

Hi.. I can see and select Sonos speakers in spotify app but when selected doesn't play. They do work with Sonos app but not with Spotify. Can anybody help me please? 

Hello,   Just enjoying our new MOVEs (is that the correct plural?). In the app, I can add CBC radio, and I can get all the CBC radio stations.  Except that sometimes, a bunch of them are missing.  Including Ottawa (where I live) and Toronto, and everything east of Sudbury west of Quebec City. I have added two speakers, and installed the app on two phones.  It seems to be the same on both.  If I look under CBC radio right now, Ottawa (and others) are not there; they definitely were there before.  In fact I added CBC Ottawa to “My Sonos” and it is still there, but “unable to play the selected item”. Just for comparison, I have been listening to CBC radio over the internet and from the CBC app for years now and it has always been there.

Depuis le passage de Google Play Music dans Sonos à Youtube music dans Sonos. Je me retrouve avec une application qui ne me permet plus de profiter correctement de mon abonnement YTM. En effet, il n'y a plus de recherches par genre, humeur ect. alors que c'était fonctionnel avec GPM. Aussi, désormais le cast depuis l'application officielle de Youtube music vers les enceintes Sonos n'existe plus. J'ai l'impression qu'en tant que client Sonos je paye les pots cassés entre Google et Sonos Je ne comprends pas que Sonos qu'il y a clairement une réduction du service de YTM sur son application comparé à l'appli officielle de Google ou même en comparant avec l'ancienne intégration de GPM dans Sonos. Sonos quand allez vous résoudre ce problème et permettre de retrouver les classifications genre, humeur ect.. dans l'appli sonos avec Youtube music ?

I have organized and cleaned up my Music App on my mac mini. I now have 271 playlist, the same number as before getting organized.  I have a notification from the Sonos system that there are to many playlist.  I created folders on the mac for the different types of playlist.  Sonos2 has the folders listed as playlist?  I can delete the folders and or some of the playlist.  any other suggestions welcomed 

My music library is sourced from my iTunes music library, and I rarely have duplicates there.  However when looking at albums in my Sonos 2 app music library, many albums have the same tracks 2 or 3 times.  Where one truly is a duplicate in iTunes I delete the whole duplicate album and then I update my Sonos library. However the duplicate (and triplicate) tracks are still there.  How do I get rid of them?  Thx

Most of the time I am unable to access my Sonos playlists on my iOS devices (iPhone and iPad). They are visible sometimes but most of the times the whole section is missing on the ‘My Sonos’ overview page.The Sonos playlists are reliably visible and accessible in the Mac app. It appears to be a problem only present with the iOS versions of the app.Is this a known issue? Is there a solution? It is a bit awkward carrying the MacBook around all the time just in case I want to listen to a playlist. 

Hi I have an imported playlist which contains 1430 songs. When I add the playlist to the queue in one room  (office) it brings it in correctly with the right amount of songs. If i clear the office queue and add the same imported playlist to another room (living room) it only includes 1164 songs ! How can this be?No other rooms have any other playlists in their queue.How does one room display the same playlist differently to another and more importantly how do i fix it?Thanks in advance for any help. 

I finally updated macos to Catalina 10.15.7, which replaces itunes with apple music.Now I get the ‘unexpected error occurred while importing playlists” error every day when my music library updates, and all my playlists are invisible to Sonos.I’ve tried exporting the ‘music’ library as xml and using it to replace the itunes library file [which appears to update itself anyway] as suggested here but it didn’t help.90% of the time I use Sonos playing music from my library, so this is really spoiling things.Help!

I have a Sonos 5 connected to an Audio Technica AT-LP120X turntable with built-in pre-amp.  The sound quality is horrible, what can I try to do to improve it?

Does anyone know how frequently the classical Concert Hall and Holiday curated playlists change? I subscribe to HD for superb quality, but I’m becoming aware of the list repeating itself. Also, does anyone, like me, wish for Full Concerto so that more than a single movement of a violin concerto can be heard?

This appears to be an issue many users have but hasn’t been resolved under any post.  I can login to Stitcher through the Stitcher app, and the web interface.  However, when I try to add that service to Sonos, upon entering my login and password i get the error “The Stitcher server did not recognize your login information”.  I am using a password manager and have confirmed multiple times that the login information is indeed correct.  Diagnostic submitted, confirmation number 730839779.  Suspect that Sonos may be doing something to process the password before it’s sent to Stitcher.  I can change my Stitcher password if need be (ie to not include special characters or whatever), but if that’s the case I need to know that’s what’s happening on Sonos’s end.  Many thanks for any assistance/information! 

I’m relatively new to Sonos so I may call things incorrectly. I’m in the US.I am having trouble getting a particular free Sonos Radio station to play consistently. The Spa station can play for days and then one day just will not play at all. I spent several hours this morning off and on trying to get it to play. I can immediately play a different station so I don’t think it is a networking problem and my hardware has not changed in weeks.The only thing I can imagine is that I might be running out of play time but I can’t find any documentation that that is a thing for Sonos Radio or iheartradio on Sonos.Any ideas?

Moving on from the SMB 1 issue itself, decided to go back to a previous  configuration where I loaded a copy of my iTunes Music subfolder onto a spare drive on a Desktop PC (on 24x7 for media management).  The iTunes Library itself is stored (now) on a Synology NAS.BACKROUND  - 7 device system, ethernet connected,  been doing SONOS over 12 yearsI had this working for a couple of years until about 4 months ago when the drive I was using was tight on space, so I removed the Music Library and played with the SMB1 issue on a prior NAS.  Proud it worked; but onto today.I installed another drive in this PC, it it Drive A:I tried to add the specific copy of the iTunes music subfolder using this file name:A:\O Drive\iTunes\iTunes Libraries\iTunes Media\MusicNO GOOD   "computer name" not responding Since I had already seen the SONOS app accept  the simple “A:\”  for the library, I then tried:A:\O Drive\iTunes\iTunes Libraries\iTunes MediaNO GOOD   "computer name" not responding OK SONOS, how ab

Access denied to pandora?  I tried rebooting phone and wifi nothing helps

iBroadcast is completely down for me - even the web site is not working.  Anyone else seeing this?

It seems if you disable talkRADIO and talkSPORT skills and enable Wireless skill, voice activated works without skipping and cutting out. At long last, but I have to say no thanks to Sonos.   

Recently I am unable to play my Apple Music personal radio station (Adam’s Station). When I click on it I get an error that says We’ve run into a problem Pleast Try again. Every thing else from Apple Music plays fine, even other radio stations. The radio station plays fine if I play it from IOS devices as well. I have tried restarting my songs, resetting the controller, and unlinking and relinking Apple Music, but nothing seems to help. Anyone else having this issue?

We have two systems A pair of  ones upstairs which work fine. We have a beam and two play ones downstairs. We have had started having issues with alexa and also with playing music from radio , be is tunein, my radio tuner or alexa, even from app we cannot play music, but if we start the music upstairs and add the downstairs in to play too it will play as long as the upstairs ones are playing too, when we try just to play on the ones downstairs we get cannot connect all the time with https: then it's blank.Anyone had this issue and a way to fix it, it worked fine until last week   

Setup: 4 old Play3s running S2 software. Added Spotify premium account to Sonos. Choosing Spotify as source for room 1: works.pause stream, choose Spotify as source for room 2: Spotify blocks connection. Now, connection is not possible for both rooms anymore. I have to select another source for room 1, reauth, and maybe then it works again.similar when starting Spotify from app controller on phone 1, then do changes from controller on phone 2: Spotify is blocked.i thought there is just one connection from Sonos to Spotify and no matter which controller is used, it’s referring to this one connection. But obviously sonos can’t handle this… now how does this work? How many connections are made from Sonos to Spotify when using multiple rooms (not simultaneously!, just one active stream at a time) or using multiple controllers? In S1 I did not encounter such issues. Thanks for any hints!

I have a Spotify premium family plan and until recently all my devices were able to connect to my Sonos players via Spotify Connect. Now my wife’s phone (iPhone 12 Pro running latest iOS and Spotify app versions) can see my Sonos devices but will not connect once we select one. My phone is fine however.  Any ideas?

Can anyone explain to me how you can search for genres on YouTube Music? It was simple on Google Music but seems to me missing in the YouTube Sonos app.

Hello. Until recently I was able to stream music from 2 favourite Greek stations (Mancode Radio and Ellinikos 93.2). Now, both stations are geo-locked both on Sonos Play:1 and TuneIn Pro.Is there a setting I have missed that could give me access again to these favourite stations?
