Controllers and Music services

I have been a Sonos user for over 10 years, and it seems like the web app just keeps getting worse. Who designed this? It’s seems to have been designed by people who don’t ever use the service. I like to have Sonos music playing in my house all day, and it is easiest to use my MacBook for this. But this requires using Sonos web, and the website app is horribly designed. Navigation is tedious, requiring far too many clicks to get anywhere. For example, to select a new playlist from the My List function I have to close all current windows and go back to My Services/My mix. This is just an example; there are many other problems with the design of the web app.Another issue is that the system keeps dropping the multiple speakers I have set up, requiring me to reselect them whenever I open the app.It seems as though Sonos is just interested in selling products and not investing in good app design/functionality.Very frustrating after spending hundreds of dollars on 3 Sonos speakers.

I’ve had issues when adding songs to my Amazon playlist and the Sonos app would not update with the added songs.  After reading multiple posts in this community I found a workaround that seemed to solve the issue for me.These are the steps I used after adding songs to my Amazon playlists:In the Amazon app select Home, select top left (user), go to settings, scroll down to ‘refresh my music’.  Takes a few minutes to complete the refresh. In the Sonos app select your speaker, go to the queue (bottom left) and clear the queue using the trash can. Once the Sonos queue is clear add your Amazon playlist and it should recognize the updated songs.  At least it did for me.  There still seems to be a 300 song limit for Amazon playlists.

I'm using Yousee Musik as my only source of music on Sonos. It works smoothly for a day or maybe two, then it stops working. It won't play any songs. Sometimes search work sometimes I doesn't. If I go and reauthorize in settings then it works again.I can schedule any favorite song or playlist via Home Assistant, so it's seems like it is not the Sonos System that is the problem. It's only the new fantastic app that is loosing connectivity. Being a long time software engineer myself, it looks like someone is not good at handling `refresh tokens` as it seems to be a problem every time I haven't used the app for a while. Are anyone still experiencing the same problem as me?

Current Problems:Recently Played, whenever local library music played, CAN NOT click and play again!!! It shows not available and grey. Online Streaming services like Apple Music, Tidal, Spotify is obviously lower sound volume, than local Library. It's been over years! (Using Sonos AMP, Arc and Era300s) No Live Activity, No Control Center, No Widgets and No iOS dynamic Island control!! This is been over years missing features. 3rd party app can even do better than Sonos official. No Apple TV tvOS / Android TV app, not allow users to control or display the music album cover in large display. It’s not good for consumers to enjoy the music playing.

I'm on the beta program and in the UK. I asked Alexa to play BBC Radio 4 this morning and it said it couldn't. I asked Sonos Voice instead and it said the same. An Alexa device has no problem.I tried on various Sonos devices and got the same response. I rebooted my Move 2 and it still couldn’t play. I opened the Sonos (beta) app and it asked to be updated and took me to the downloads page, but there is no new app to download. I tried reinstalling the existing version and it still insists on being updated. 

When I use the sleep timer a new bug seems to have been introduced. When the timer ends the music or podcast fades out as expected, but then you get a second or so of music again before the sound stops. Anyone else experiencing this?

I have a Port, and in the Line-In settings the Source Name is ‘Turntable’, when I select the Line-in in another room, it doesn't display the Source Name, it just displays ‘Audio Component’. Should it display the name that is configured in the Port Settings? eg, HiFi is the Port, when I select the Line-In in the Lounge, it displays ‘Audio Component’ 

A wonderful playlist was spontaneously generated on my Sonos app titled Sunday Afternoon Mix from my personal music files collected over decades on various media then manually up loaded to Apple Music and combined with my iTunes library. 9,000 plus in total.   The mix generated by the Sonos app is the best I could have put together on my own. Problem is that I can only enjoy the playlist on my Sonos 2 platform but not my legacy S1 platform. I can live with that but would very much like to migrated the playlist to Apple Music or my hard drive/cloud so I can enjoy it remotely.Does anyone have a solution?Thanks, Murray

Have had an issue for few weeks when tapping on a track on my soundcloud feed on S1 app, it plays a completely different track on the feed, if i press 3 dots and hit play now it plays ok, you used to just have to tap on the track and it would play

Once every day i have reauthenticate the YouSee service. When done I can play my playlists BUT they are not updated in the Sonos App with the new songs I have added in the YouSee Music App.I have removed the YouSee service, i have removed app data from the Sonos App, I have reinstallere the Sonos App. Are there any known issues with the YouSee Music service?

Here is a screen shot of an album on a shared upnp dlna server. I can click and play an individual song. But I can’t choose to play the whole album.  And I can’t just click on the first song and have it play all the way through.   Is there a solution?  

Hi folks, I haven't yet taken the plunge to purchase a speaker/s. I use a Marantz currently and its music library accessing by folder from my PC, works fine.I organise my recordings by folder, subfolder and file name. I don't use, artist, composer, album or any of those options as my meta data isn't too good.So its a deal breaker for me if the folder option is not available via the app.Please don't direct me to adding a music library help page...it doesn't discuss this.I tried to install the app on Android to find out for myself if this works how I want, but it needs a speaker to link to first...which I don't have yet.Is there anyone out there who uses Sonos App Music Library from their PC that can tell me if this method of access (by folder) works?

Sonos S1 app one of my rooms disappeared from the rooms icon. It does show up under the systems tab under products IE: Dining room bridge. Dining room does not show up under rooms. Any help? I tried deleting app and reinstalling it . 

I have two Sonos systems: Two old Play 5 speakers with the old S1 controller - all working fine. I can access all the music on the local HDD of my Windows 11 PC. Never had an issue.A newer system comprising 3 pairs of speakers and a sound bar. All working fine using the newer S2 controller - except…… I cannot access the music on my hard drive - the same files on the same HDD that the old S1 controller has no problems accessing.The controller recognizes the library (safter a lot mucking around creating new local users, sharing folders, using the network path option etc etc) but refuses to list the albums or tracks. See screen shots below.  When I click on “Update Music Library Now” the usual message pops up:I click on Yes, and the "Indexing...” message pops up and disappears with a second. When I check the library for albums, artists etc, I get the dreaded “No selections are available”. Nothing. Zero. Zilch. I have read all the posts in various forums about this, but there does not seem

I get Favorites is full when trying to save a song to favorites. Been like that for years! When will they allow more than what the old app allowed. It’s only a list! Any fixes? 

My system operates erratically. System does not display component status reliably; does not consistently display album or Playlist tracks; will display graphics for music other than that which is playing; will indicate the system is off when music is playing. 

I have a full system that worked fine in the last house, same Sonos app won’t connect to any of the speakers in the system.  What in the world? All of Sonos is 100% dependent on the app, will have to move away from Sonos unless it can be fixed. Anyone else have this happen?

I Wondered if this is a known issue. Having saved a sonos playlist using the windows pc app (latest available version) if I then edit it and save it again using the same name I always get the message 'unable to save playlist' however when I look at the playlist it has saved all my updates correctly so there doesn't appear to be any issue with the functionality it's just the message that appears to be erroneous.What is making it think that it can't save the playlist updates? 

Hello,A family member came into my house today with their iPhone 8, but could not connect to my sonos controller.Here is everything that i've checked / tried :The iPhone (and all other successfully connected device) are on the same network, using the app version 11.15.4 (my phone) or 11.15.5 (the iphone). I made sur the app on the iPhone had all the permissions. I double checked that all devices were indeed connected on the same network. Not that it matters, but both the iphone and the amp are on 2.4GHz (my phone is connected on the 5GHz band) I uninstalled / reinstalled the app on the iphone  And finally, I removed and added back the wifi network on the iphone.Unfortunately,  none of this worked. Any new idea or explanation would be welcome.I searched on this community for related topics, but could not find anything I did not try.Have a great day.

In the app, when there are songs in a queue, the queue list button is no longer available after streaming Sirius. This was how the system use to work and of course still works on the Windows desktop app. Can the queue button always be available even if queue is empty?

Volume control on the iPhone app is a tiny dot and very difficult to use. Can you make it easy to increase or decrease by a percent or number with a click of the button?Lack of this feature is not allowing to enjoy the Sonos system completely. Sad! 

When I open the Sonos windows app I am asked to check for updates, which I do and there are none. It then goes back to the same screen for checking updates. If I select “more options” and then “continue using the Sonos app” it responds with “some products are not registered”. On selecting “register your products” it asks you to log in and then responds with “your system is up to date” but it then goes back to tell me “some products are not registered” and I can’t get into the app.I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but still the same result as above. I have rebooted the router and powered down and back up all my Sonos devices to no avail.I have tried contacting Sonos via the chat selection for the past 2 days but after waiting over an hour on each day I have given up in frustration.I can play my music using my iPad or iPhone with no problems so the connection is there.any advice would be welcome

My Sonos speakers (except the two Moves) are Ethernet connected to my network. they function fine as a directly connected TV speaker system, however whenever I try to direct Apple Music or Spotify content I receive a ‘connection timed out’ error.I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app. I've power cycled both the network equipment and the sound bars. The Moves also have the same issue. Any ideas?thank you!

Was tempted to try iOS26 Public Beta and wondered if anyone else has tried and if Sonos S2 app works still.  My phone is still my primary controller so won’t bother is there are major issues. Thanks in advance.
