Just for fun I made an almost lp size pixelated album art display that is Sonos compatible. Has several modes to alternate between art and title/artist views.

Forgot to mention it has on top 3 spots you can  touch:  left and right touch shortly for prev/next. Center is play/pause. Touching left and right longer changes volume of the speaker for example. Tried to keep it minimalist with just the basic controls. Any suggestions?

Hi Stanley_4,

It runs on small embedded Buildroot Linux. The code for rendering is built in C for performance (OpenGL). Server code and renderer are local on the same board. For setup like wifi provisioning (BLE), adding services, changing settings, a React Native app is responsible to make it very easy.

The display is a 108 * 108 dot resolution custom solution. Auto dimming via sensor (a must in my opinion for different ambient light situations) is built in. All in all a minimalistic object that integrates pretty well in a lot of environments I think. The outer bezel can be customized. It was done for personal use the way I like it.

Thank you User117655!

I wanted in the first place a square object, just like Album art. Not a rectangular display. Visible from across the room to appreciate. It has 14 inch outside dimensions. That was the main motivation.

Hi Bruce,

Tuneshine! Very nice. They share a low resolution way of displaying. The designs, regarding bezel, display size, are certainly different. Not an external server required also. Standalone.
