Controllers and Music services

Hi,I have a DLINK 320 NAS and 2 Sonos Play 1’s. I have my Music stored in a folder Volume_1\Media\Sonos followed by a Folder for each Artist. Its been like this for several years with almost no issues. About a month ago I noticed I’d lost all my Music on my Sonos with the exception of one Album. I looked on my NAS and all the media had been deleted, All my other stuff on my NAS had not changed. I copied the music back again from another drive and bizarrely the next day it had been deleted again.So I did the same thing again, the next day all my Music had been deleted from the NAS. The other stuff was still intact. Since then I’ve re-imaged my NAS and rebuilt it 3 or 4 times with a 3rd Party image which didn’t work very well with Sonos, I’ve gone back to the original DLINK image, reformatted my NAS and copied over the Music once again, and today the Music I added yesterday has been deleted again this morning. I’m loathed to buy another NAS as not 100% sure it will fix the problem, any i

Long standing podcast suddenly won't play. How do I fix it?

I’ll start by saying I really can’t stand watching or listening to broadcast ads. I don’t listen to commercial radio. I don’t watch commercial television. I happily buy albums through Bandcamp to support artists directly, and to discover new music I pay for a streaming service which is ad free. I also really love some of the Community Radio stations that operate in my home city and want to keep listening to them at home.   A few months ago my Sonos system has started playing ads when I first connect to one of the community radio stations it happens whether I connect via my Google Assistant, or manually select the stations  through the app. I’ve tried to bypass this by “adding radio stations” directly via the direct URL as is recommended in some other comments on the forum, but this doesn’t do anything to stop the ads. I’ve also added the stations through the Sonos Radio service, rather than the TuneIn service, but I still get the TuneIn ads. In the end I decided whilst frustrating, I c

The Sonos app sucks. Either it can’t add songs to my queue or it can’t even Airplay my Spotify onto my Soundbar. Most useless products ever. Don’t do it.

Does anyone know the meaning of the blue dot?  New content maybe?  But if so how to ID?  Thanks. 

I have been a Sonos user for years.My music library has been on the same Synology NAS for all those years.Now, I can add that music library (via //10.0.1.55/music) no longer to my Macbook Pro.I can add it to my iPad and iPhone, though,What to do? 

Hi, does anyone know the streaming URL to add a radio called RADIO DeeJay (Italian) manually into SONOS? The Radio doesn’t work anymore in SONOS since last update and i want to try to add it manually with the URLthank you

I’ve got an old ZP80 that I use in the garage on its own S1 system.It works fine except today when I tried to add a new service I couldn’t log in. It said my password was wrong, which it wasn’t but I reset it anyway. And it still won’t let me log in.Logging in to my account elsewhere, including the S2 app, works fine.Can anyone shed any light on this please?

Please, PLEASE sort the album search results by release date in Apple Music, like every other service, and like any sane feature would work. The current unorganized list of albums displayed for any particular artist is borderline unusable. You know this.I know this question has been asked before, but it’s been over SIX YEARS. I know it’s supposedly an Apple problem, but I just don’t buy it. Unless your engineering team is married to some REALLY obtuse implementation, this should be about 4 lines of code. If it’s NOT easy, please ask yourselves how sorting a list of results, a question you’d ask of any engineering intern in an interview, turned into an insurmountable issue that customers have had to beg for over a six year period.And if it’s really an Apple issue, tell us why, specifically, so we can go yell at them about it.But c’mon... The last time someone asked why there are no release notes for S1 updates, the answer was that there was nothing new to report.The last available release notes are for version 11.2.6. My current system version is 11.3 (so clearly, there was either a change larger than those between compatibility 11.2.4 & 11.2.6--or the numbering system is used wrongly), and now there is a new update available (I do not know to which version, and I cannot find a way of checking).This might be seen as petty, but the issue is important: past updates have broken system compatibility without announcing it clearly to the user. I saw that this answer/suggestion has been closed but I think it’s time to realize that customers with thousands of dollars invested into a SONOS system would like to see the functionality of a MOVE system paired with the PLAY 5 Subwoofer once and for all. Yes, the MOVE is designed for playability around the house and in outdoor settings but there are those of us that might have need for the MOVE to be used with a PLAY 5 Subwoofer. SONOS, get to work on this!

Hey folks,I’ve got some Playlists and I’d like to add to them. Nothing earth shattering about that BUT, I’m on the Sonos2 app, on my iPhone, I go to the three dots of a song and it has “Add song to My Sonos” but no option to add to Playlists. Should I just delete the App and download a new one? Or is there something else that I’m missing? I added the Sonos Roam to my system about a month ago if that is relevant. Thanks.

I have 4 out of my five requiring an update along with the app stating the app needs an update. After over 10 attempts to install, reinstalling the app, switching off all devices inc router, nothing is working. Any ideas folks ? 

It's easy to add a Bluetooth playback device to Logitechs Media Server.  Several independent apps provide playback which can be routed to Bluetooth headsets and or speakers.  Adds another facility for using LMS across devices.Sonos insistence on a closed system might have a certain commercial logic but does inhibit innovation. 

We really need a way to control a Sonos outside the home wifi. I went into holidays and I forgot to remove the alarm I had every day. My dad came to my house for one week and has to wake up everyday to turn Sonos off! I don’t understand that basic features like removing alarms cannot be done outside wifi. 

Hello All, I’m a little surprised this hasn’t appeared to come up.I have a Sonos Port connected to my AudioLab Stereo Amplifier. I use the 12v trigger to turn on but I’m also looking for a way to control volume on my AudioLab using the Sonos app. Ability to select the proper input (Dig2) would be a bonus and nice to have. I envision this making use of some external device that can read the Sonos commands and output via an IR blaster.  I tried building an Arduino based interface box that almost worked but my limited programming knowledge and time prevented success. I looked at something like a Harmony, but with that being ended by Logitech it seems like a waste of efforts. Plus I’d really like to use the Sonos app primarily. I don’t necessarily want a smart home interface just for this one function. It seems a waste and semi costly.  I’m open to any thoughts or solutions.  Thank you.

Is it possible to “tune” a Sonos Radio station? I don’t see a thumbs up/down, but does skipping a song or adding it to your library affect the future selection for that station for me?  

My Beam does not appear in the Products in system settings. If I add the PlayOnes it disappears. I am logged in. I tried all things mentioned in this post about turning of private network, etc.:  I have iOS 15.4.1; The Sonos app is 14.6 build 68228040  

I see the subject of unexpected/unwanted explicit lyrics appearing through Sonos Radio stations has been raised a few times over the years and I was wondering where Sonos stood on the issue and if there are any plans to enable filtering?For some father-daughter bonding today my 5yr old asked me to dance with her so we put the ‘Hit List’ station on and were having a great time (my dancing could do with some filtering but that’s a subject for another thread!) when the song Kiss Me More by Doja Cat came on... A lovely little number but one which got a little fruity as things went on to the point where I couldn’t assume her brain wasn’t picking up on the words and phrases that I don’t think she’s quite ready for just yet so had to mute it until then next track came on (which then just drew more attention to the song we’d just had and I’m sure she was mentally ‘rewinding’ in an attempt to decompose what she’d taken in and work out what all the fuss was about!).Any chance of one day being ab

Where do I find the songs I have added to my Sonos Favorites on the iPhone App.I am sure like many Sonos users we add songs to Sonos Favorites.On the desktop controller - it is at the top of the Select a Music Source page that you see when first opening the app.I have been unable to find Sonos Favorites as a source in the iPhone app.Help!

Is the lack of Apple Music lossless support a Sonos Issue (haven’t got to it yet) or an Apple issue (not allowing other providers to access the lossless streams)?I actually think Airplay does sound better, but that is not why I bought Sonos speakers. Thanks

I updated my ipad and iphone operating systems (as usual) and now SONOS will not play my (3rd party) streaming radio stations. Problem appears to be an incompatibility issue with iOS 15.4.1. I can’t be the only one with this problem. What’s up?
