Controllers and Music services

My Music Library is refusing to update, on both scheduled and manually triggered.This seems relatively recent. When I trigger a manual update, it says that my NAS drive is no longer available, despite it being able to browse and play music from it.This is effecting all installs of my controllers, on Mac, PC, Amazon Kindle and Android Phone. I’ve got multiple Play:1, a Play: 3, and Connect and a Beam connected to the network.I had thought about removing and trying to add the device again, but I’m concerned that it will just not find it.Any ideas?

Upgraded my iPhone and cannot connect to Sonos

I store my music files on my PC and when I view the music library by artist I have a lot of artist names with only one or two tracks each on a compilation. They are contributing artists.  I there a way I can change the library settings so that contributing artist is ignored.

I just removed my library and the controller has been indexing for a couple of days I removed incompatable products in order to install the S2 app all smoke and mirrors nothing is happening how can the music play if the library is removed how do I set the path to a NAS Storage device where can i find the whatever it is address to the NAS device they tell me to ask manufacturer Manufacturer is dumber than I am

I use the SONOS app on iOS.  When i deselect a speaker they all stop playing music or whatever and the app freezes and is unusable.  Any suggestions or help would be useful.  I had this system as it is supposed to be flexible etc and should not have to reboot the router or whole system every time i want to stop playing sound from a speaker.

The latest MacOS update to 12.3 appears to allow the connection to Apple Music. 

Amazon UHD subscription. In the Amazon app , when I select UHD music to play, on my S2 app ‘Now Playing’ doesn’t show any information regarding the format playing via the Arc.

I’ve had my SONOS setup for a number of years.  Hell, I’ve even enrolled on the beta test programme (I wouldn’t bother if I were you...you don’t get anything back from SONOS other than so many questions and video “proof” of the issues one has with the software!  Even though I am retired I am having to spend HOURS of my time trying to get the bugs and limitations of the software ironed out...all for no reward!  My biggest issue is that the software seems incapable of coping with the volume of my music library (stored on a local NAS Drive/Server.  It can’t search more than 66,000 tracks, and causes all sorts of issues if I try and add another music library (for my classical collection, stored on a different network share!).  I realise this is all trying to direct me towards utilising a streaming service, but I have amassed my music collection over 40 years, so don’t see why I should pay a monthly subscription to have access to music, which I already own!  I

iPhone app says “unable to play the selected station”  on certain Sirius XM stations but computer app works fine.   Latest updates on Sonos and iPhone.

I have previously used the Amazon Prime Music service but have now taken up the offer of a free 3 month trial of Amazon Unlimited which offers 90 million songs, many of which are HD. My question is if my Sonos system of Soundbridge 100 and Zoneplayer 90 can handle the HD tracks. Also, is there any way in the Sonos app of seeing if a track is standard or HD ?

So the PC hosting my Sonos libraries died and I’ve had to reinstall my music on a new computer/Server which has a different name.   But the playlists have the old server name in the the path/source file info.  How do I fix the playlists I’ve created so that they will find the music in the new PC/folder.   For example, when I try to play my playlist it will say:\\OLDPC\Music\thriller.wav is missingI now need the playlist to  point to \\NEWPC\Muisc\thriller.wav in order to solve the problem.If I can’t edit the playlists I will have to spend an incredible time rebuilding them.Thanks!J

When I view albums through my music library track numbers 2 to 11 are missing?Any ideas why this is happening? 

The icons in the UI are too small for human fingers.    My observation is that many apps suffer this problem and it’s likely an Apple issue (please confirm whether Sonos can code these differently).   I suspect this mechanism is also psychological, as it requires a very careful finger touch and brain focus (ie: keep you focused and engaged). Specifically, let’s take a look at an example, the elements at the top of the app:  These UI elements are unrealistic for the human hand, at least for casual use.   Again, I’ve seen this problem in other apps, and I suspect a larger issue.  Feel free to change my mind. Would Sonos please clarify the above?   Do you have the ability to override these unrealistically small UI elements?

Mac user here. My desktop is an iMac running Monterey 12.2.1. My music library is on a Mac Mini running Sierra 10.12.6 which I have not yet upgraded because it works fine for what it is supposed to do.Anyway, I recently started ripping some new CDs using the program XLD. I now have a folder on my iMac desktop full of FLAC audio files. Using the Sonos Mac app, I have added that folder to my Sonos music library which sees the folder but sees no available files inside that folder. Specifically, when I open that folder it says “No selections are available.” Sonos does see the iTunes and Music libraries on the iMac and Mini and the files within them.So my question is, does Sonos need to be specifically pointed at a library and not just a folder of audio files?thanks in advance for any help/advice,dpc

Does anyone know what the latest March Sonos S2 App Update included? There is no info on the Sonos Website under release notes. Thanks in advance for any answers 

I currently use airplay on iPhoneX to send FLAC files with FlacBox to Sonos. The iPhone storage of 256GB is getting small, so thinking of going with portable music player such as Astell&Kern, but those players don’t seem to have airplay.I am looking for portable player with >=1TB storage, can create FLAC playlists, has decent built in DAC (better than DragonFly cobalt), and can play playlist wirelessly to Sonos (airplay? Any other option?). Any recommendations?I could go with iPhone13, but prefer getting rid of the dongle DAC for headphone listening.

Getting more and more frustrating to play Sonos via Windows..Error 1101, ‘unable to play music’, empty library ...Reading thru Tips and tricks I see often“Reboot each Sonos product in your home by unplugging the power cable, waiting 10 seconds, then plugging it back in. Once you have rebooted all of your Sonos products, check to make sure they all show up in your Sonos app, then attempt the update again “really ? They don’t show up when re-plugged in, I have to re-add them one by one,.. 6 speakers + beam + Sub.. What a pain..

Hello,Do you know if it’s possible to deep link to sonos app?I’d like to open the app Stations section directly from a link or shortcut in iOS. Or maybe different scenario with opening the app listing my Playlists.Is it possible?

HEllo everyone, This is my first post. I am a single grandmother from Bath but was born in Portmsouth I just wanted to mention that I love Sonos but I was deveistated when the CR100 was discontinues. The  split the system idea to S1 & S2 is straight garbage.  I  have over 15 sonos speakers in my home and Im supposed to start over again because Sonos wants to play games with the controller?   Now Im an angry customer whose taking a new play 5 back to the store.  Way to lose sales sonos …….brilliant idea to make new equipment that isnt compatible, if I wanted that, I wouldve bought a different and a cheaper brand of speaker.  I guess i get an old play 5 off ebay.  Because new speakers wont work with the previous models.

I previously used a Connect and an old Pioneer 100Wx2 receiver in one of my rooms. I decided to upgrade to the AMP and sadly, even though the AMP is more powerful I cannot get the same sound out of the amp. I would love to be able to boost frequencies to my liking, but the included EQ is too basic.I would hate to have to go back to the old connect and receiver. Please consider this my vote for a multi-band EQ in software.
