System working fine this am & then it just stopped. Logged back in & only 1 room shows as avail. I have inside & outside. Unplugged everything & got a message to add a new net work & now I am here for 40 mins. It will not let me escape. Any assistance will greatly appreciated!
We are working on a feature on Sonos S2 device and some of our changes are impacting Sonos S1, as the same SMAPI are getting invoked for both S1 and S2.Is there any incoming string like version or something similar that will help us distinguish between S1 and S2.
I have my music library on pro-level Netgear NAS, with everything in order. I have a 1 Gb LAN connection to server, so WiFi/WLAN connection problems are not applicable.Every time I get a Sonos update I apply it, get a 1101 Error, apply it again, then gets the message there is nothing to update. But Sonos is updated. However, after every update Sonos cannot access my music library anymore. Doing an “Update Music Library Now” results in an error (after a few minutes, the time varies): “//N//N is no longer available...”However, at (exactly) the same time Sonos has no problem playing the music that happened to be in the Sonos queue (the queue isn’t emptied during an update), which of course resides on exactly the same NAS with exactly the same connection details (that Sonos already has). So “technically” there are no glitches, otherwise Sonos wouldn’t even be able to access the files it is actually playing. The general advice is to remove and then restore the connection. However, if I do thi
I have Sonos S2 set up in a holiday let with 4 speakers and 4 controllers set up as bespoke Sonos controllers using old iPhones and imaze so the phones cannot be used for anything else.this setup is absolutely great and works well.I have set up an extra Sonos account only used for this location and all of the controllers are logged out of the account. However, I am still concerned that guests could fiddle with settings and break the system. It seems possible to go into system and try to downgrade to S1 for example? Is it ?Is there anything detrimental a user (who is not logged in) could do, and if so, would it not be appropriate to either hide or disable some system options unless logged in ?Most users would probably not poke around with the system settings, but setting an alarm is a useful function for example and can only be done within system, but I don’t want to invite users to dig around unnecessarily.
My Sonos system works fine, except for accessing my Music Library located on my MacBook. All the songs, artists, playlists etc. form my library are displayed on Sonos, but when attempting to play a song from the library, keep getting “….can’t find server…. error”. Have tried numerous fixes over time without success. Any suggestions. Thank you.
I have two Sonos one speakers set up as a stereo pair in the lounge. i have just bought a Roam for a different room in the house. However whenever I ask the Roam to play a station or music the two One’s also come on. Is there any way to unlink the Roam from the two One’s so the rooms are Independant of each other? thanks
I have two music services, Apple and Amazon. If I’m listening to a song and I want to browse the artist or see album info I can tap the three dots and do so if the song playing is from Amazon. If a song is playing from Apple Music, I can’t do either. I get a “No Selections available” message.I have reauthorized Apple Music, logged out and back in and I have an Apple subscription. I’m using iPhone 11. And if I am playing an Amazon Music song I go right to the artist or album. Not sure what’s up.
When using amazon music prime we cannot see the songs on the queue and hence can’t go forward or back in tracks during playlist playback
I just noticed today whilst playing from music I ripped onto my NAS that I am getting an “HD” icon on the screen. I looked at the Sonos blog and they mention HD music but then say there’s no accepted definition of what that means - sampling rate, bit depth etc. So I wonder what this is telling me or what criteria for showing the HD icon are? This file is FLAC 44.1KHz (There doesn’t seem a straightforward way to get bit depth in Mac OS).NB I tried another file I have and that is m4a and 44.1 KHz and also shows HD
I got the list of favorite songs but don't know how to pass the parameters to play the music
I have to pay Sonos 2 app?i want to open it, and send me to cash direction
As the title suggests, when I select an artist and pick a song, something completely different is played by a different artist. Any ideas??
Hi, been using Sonos many years and I frequently use the Sonos app to play my purchased content from Amazon Music. After the recent prime library change, only the first 50 or so of my songs load in the purchased content section of the Amazon Music integration in Sonos app. Searching for songs I own outside of the first 50 alphabetical on Amazon do not show either. I have reauthorized and that didn't help. Anyone else having this issue? How do I resolve?
once a mini sub is bonded with a beam how does it appear as an airplay speaker. Can I airplay just the sub with other airplay speakers or will the beam come with it?
hello, I recently signed up for Sonos Beta Rewards. do you know how points are counted, the number of posts, the use of beta programs...? thank you in advance
Hi! I’m in the process of changing over to Sonos from a more traditional system and have connected my Apple Music account which is what I use to stream 90% of our music. Is there a way to “thumbs down” a song using the Sonos app so it gets skipped and doesn’t play again?
I accessed Spotify premium through my Sonos app and created an extensive Sonos playlist. While I can easily access my Sonos/Spotify playlist while running my Sonos app at home, there is no way to see/access my playlist solely through Spotify while I am away from home. Since I can access Spotify through Sonos, and visa versa, while on my home network, I should be able to access my playlist through Spotify while away from my home network. Per Sonos support, there is no way to do this. Does anyone know how to access a Sonos playlist, created through Spotify, using the Spotify app when I am away from my Sonos system?
I’m a brand new Port user coming over from the Squeezebox/Logitech Media Server world after 10 years. I’m aware of others that maintain their own digital music collection locally saying that Sonos seems to be abandoning that market segment, but is the S2 controller really that limited that it can’t see the ARTISTSORT tags in my extensive FLAC library and sort by last name instead of first name? Also apparently I can’t set it to NOT show artist names associated with songs in compilations so my Artists list isn’t so cluttered? I knew I’d be trading off some customization options by moving to Sonos and I’m glad not to have to spend so much time tinkering with my SB Touch just to get it to work with my network, but I thought there’d be some flexibility for displaying my music the way I want it to. The Music Library options in the S2 app for iOS (Settings > System > Music Library) are ridiculous! What do others do? Are there 3rd party apps that work well with lossless libraries? Any s
I use Sonos on Android and want to play music from my device. Please add a feature to allow the Sonos App to scan specific on-device folders rather than default to only the “Music” folder.Use case: Amazon Prime Music no longer allows playing specific songs. As a workaround, I purchased and downloaded music to my device. The Amazon download folder is “Android\device\com.amazon.mp3\files\Music\Purchased” but Sonos only scans the “Music” folder and doesn’t recognize the downloaded music. If I could specify on-device folders to scan, it would solve this issue. This solution seems universal as it would allow playback for all downloaded songs from any streaming service. Thanks for your consideration.
I am having a heck of a time finding any information on how to add my iTunes library to the Sonos app. I don’t have a computer. I have found articles on adding with Windows or Mac OS, but nothing about only using iPhone and iPad. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have three Sonos Play:1 speakers which are sometimes used individually, sometimes grouped. When I group two or more speakers, on the desktop app I cannot control the volume of individual speakers, only the entire group. The small pop-up window with the individual speakers is visible but the volume sliders do not work. This is only a problem on the Windows desktop app - the app on my phone is fine. But it is a problem on both Windows laptops that I have. And it appears to have arisen only in the last few days.Any thoughts?
The update to 14.18 seems to have broken the volume controller on the desktop app (Windows 11). While I can still adjust the overall volume of a particular group with the top slide, the pop-up sliders that allow me to control the volume of the speakers within the group individually are no longer functional. I have confirmed that all of my speakers, as well as the apps on my phone and desktop all updated to 14.18. The sliders are working normally on my phone.
Can anyone tell me how to import playlists from Napster to Tidal? I’m in love with my SONOS, but would dearly love finding a way to save these playlists. Many thanks.
HOW DO I GET THE SONOS CONTROL PANEL BACK ON MY IMAC, I HAD TO DELETE TO DO A LARGE UPDATE
I’m using a Mac G5 running OS 10.5.8 as a server to access the majority of my music library files via a network connection to my (newer) iMac running OS Catalina 10.15.7.I have no issues accessing the music library from the G5 on the iMac, but the Sonos Controller or iPhone app cannot access the G5 library...I’ve confirmed sharing settings and believe them to be correct. Is the Mac G5 (OS 10.5.8) too many generations removed and incompatible with current Sonos Controller software of iPhone app?
