Controllers and Music services

Now that I've got a new router (Netgear N300 WNR2200 Wireless Router), the Android & PC controller will not connect when using WiFi, but it does work from the PC when using a wired connection. (I have tried resetting the controller, turning uPnP off, power cycling everything etc.)

My Sonos system has just updated to version 6.4.2 which I now cannot find any documentation / changelog. iOS controller remains on 6.4.1. With hindsight maybe a bit reckless on my part accepting the update but anyone got any info. May be relevant but my Public Beta profile is active but no info there either.

Newbie here. Looking for some answers, opinions and guidance please. My intention is to rip my music CDs to a Music Only hard drive. This will become my music library to use with Sonos. I am wanting to use the FLAC format. After some research I would like to use EAC. I think I have got it. I will be naming each file folder using this format: Artist-Album. Inside each folder will be the the music tracks labeled Track# - name.flac. The folder hierarchy will be really flat but I think it will work best for searches and for EAC. After I ripped the 2 CD I checked them out with the Sonos app and there was no album art or any of the other information-tags showing. What is the best tablet platform to use with Sonos? I've heard Apple based products do not allow for full functionality. Any suggestions?

Comcast just gave me a new router, and now SonosNet is asking for a password on my Android device, which it never did before. My android is set up to allow the SonosNet connection. Any idea how I find or change the password?? I use a bridge connected directly to the router via ethernet.

It looks as though Sonos will NOT be developing an App for the Windows Phone - which is very disappointing. As they know, Windows is by far the most popular OS on desktops and laptops and I choose to use the Windows phones because of the tight integration with the desktop and laptop and the unique ability to share people directories and calendars which can be read/updated from any Windows device. I'll probably have to abandon my plans to use Sonos in every room... unless someone has first hand knowledge and recommendation for a reliable 3rd Party Phone App that is compatible with Sonos speakers? Does anyone use one?.

Trying to change the name and it doesnt work

Recently none of my iTunes playlists are imported into Sonos. All music tracks have been imported but not the playlists. All music and iTunes data are in My Music folder. Can someone help?

I have 2 Connects and ever since the latest update whenever i select a song on deezer the entire album is put in my queue. How do i cange this? It is quite irritating.

Must be a bug with this? I am not running the beta software.

I used to use itunes linked to my vaio media centre to play my music while showing visualistions to my loewe LCD big screen- It was really effective for parties. Now I have a far superior audio system in sonos and the gold standard performance and versatility has blown my friends away. However I would dearly love to use visualisations again. It would only require a software upgrade to the desk top controller to allow this and you would greatly increase the modality of sonos in a multi media sense- and make me happy- plus it should only cost cents in reality. Mull it over.

This is not a full windows 8 platform but will work new surface tablet and Samsung and others plan to use this OS which is not fully windows 8 compatible. It would be very helpful if sonos would support this as the tablet looks promising.

Ability to support association with devices running an iOS VPN.

I really like my Echo but it is limited - needs more apps.... I really, really hope (really, really, really) a Sonos app becomes available for the Echo - I would add another one no problem. I love my Sonos - and normally I dislike voice control but Echo is far superior to others. So let's keep our fingers crossed.

I had just been getting a few iPod gen 2s specifically to use as Sonos controllers. I'd got two of them in, and installed the old app before the new App came out yesterday. Unfortunately I hadn't yet downloaded the old app to the third before it was updated yesterday. The new app reports as not compatible with my third Gen2. How can I get the old one & install it?

Got really excited when I saw support for multiple..... thinking it would be music libraries. But no, the system still can't handle multiple users / music libraries, and STILL doesn't search Contributing Artists (unlike Andronos on Android and SonoPad / Sonophone on iPad and iPhone. C'mob Sonos, get it sorted. Really and truthfully, how hard can it be?

In order that Sonos can gauge some meaningful feedback please reply to this thread with your supporting opinions for your choice. I voted NO as I believe the perception that has been given and supported is that we, the users, will get our idea's turned into tweaks/new features/upgrades etc. through the Sound Idea's forum. Given that the fact that the last two updates have had very few changes to the system (i.e. Not new services) I fear that the focus on this may have drifted. I understand the current world economic situation means that luxury products suchs as Sonos will be put aside for essential purchase and that Sonos will and must look to increase it's user base to survive doesnt mean that we, as existing users cannot express our dissapointment at this shift. does anybody know a program that extracts the cover image(s) out of mp3s? I tagged my whole mp3 collection with all the covers within iTunes. Most of them where drag/dropped directly from the webbrowser (images.google.com); so no separate images have been saved. now I would like to have the covers also as separate jpg, gif or whatever is emedded in the mp3 files.
