Controllers and Music services

My desktop has both a wifi local network, where my Sonos system resides, and an Ethernet connection to a larger building network. When searching for a Sonos system, the Sonos software seems to default to the Ethernet connection, where it finds another Sonos system. There is no way to select which Sonos network I want to connect with. How can I connect with my home Sonos system?

I have 500 songs liked on my Soundcloud profile, but when I go on to view/play them from the Sonos app, only my most recent 180 show up. How can I access or get the rest of my likes to show up? 

Since the last software update, I have found that grouping devices no longer works reliably. Grouping either doesn't happen or the devices drop out of groupings randomly. Is this a problem others are having? Is there a fix?

Partway through each song, the above message comes up on the phone and it fades into the next song on the album. Apple Music problem (no problem with Pandora or Amazon)

Sonos thx. for creating the Android Mobile Device streaming capability the only thing it needs now it the Folder View. Music genres, etc. are nice for iPhone folks but I (and possibly most Android users) like to categorize/organize my music (on my mobile device) into folders. Allowing parent level (down thru sub) folder playback would be icing on the cake. Similar to what the desktop/mobile controllers currently have (Music Library\Folders). Please add this capability to the next Android Mobile Device streaming update.

This is my first post. I have a large open floor plan (700 sq feet) and I'm trying to create an equally high quality soundstage around the room. My setup sounds good however I find that the volume of grouped speakers is not consistent (probably due to using different speakers). By this I mean, that when sitting in the middle of the space, volume has to be adjusted for specific speakers in the group so that it sounds even. As a result, I have to adjust the volume on individual speakers in the group so that volume from one side of the room isn't noticeably louder than the other. All speakers sound good. I've taken advice from the Sonos Community in choosing my setup. I currently have the highly recommended play 1 pair and sub on one end of the room (living room area) and a single play 5 gen 2 on the other end (kitchen). The play 5 volume always needs to be increased so that it is not over powered by the play 1 pair and sub. This is true although I am sitting slightly closer

Have only had my system, Play 1 & 3, for 12 hours so far and love it. Only thing I've found which is an issue is when streaming radio the sound quality isn't as rich as when listening on my DAB radio. I assume this is because DAB transmissions are of a higher quality then online radio? I wondered if anyone knew of a streaming source for radio that is Sonos compatible that is of high sound quality. The radio station I mainly want this for is BBC 6Music.

I updated sonos controller yesterday. Seem to now be running a beta version 7.2 of sonos conroller for Mac (though did not sign up for this -- not intentionally). Since then not able to play apple music through sonos. Removed apple music but then could not add it again. Grateful for advice. Have submitted diagnostic info. no.7064873

I used to have 9 play:5 speakers connected to my network. However, earlier this week we had a network outage and the wifi had went down. Ever since the outage when it was resolved the controller did not show all the speakers. Now I blew out the old setup to try and reconfigure them again, but it can get one on and it won't let me add another.

Can't seem to find a definitive answer on whether I can link my play 1 to a TV via a connect with Toslink, to play television sound through the play 1?

Any plans for a Chromebook Controller?

Hello. I can't add Sonos Playlists (error message says its full and to delete), but I also cant delete old sonos playlists (ask me to confirm delete playlist, I select yes, but nothing happens). Tried on all 3 types of controller (CR100, Android and Windows) tried resetting controller, to no effect. updated to latest version. no effect. Tried on Andorid App, same problem. I have about 36 playlists, some date back to 2008... additional Background: Hardware is 2 x ZP80 and 2 x ZP100. I have had Sonos since 2007, current use the original brick controller (software is v 7.0) plus the controller App for Android and controller App for Windows v. 7.0 ( using windows 10).

Many menu items (including quit sonos and preferences) are greyed out. I can connect the play1 to the router directly and get it to play but its not finding the wireless. I have a new router though I'm pretty sure it was working since I got the new router. I did recently update the sonos controller. what the h can be done here?

Why must there be a 5 sec. delay when adding a song to the queue, before i can navigate in app again?

I'm looking for a way to remotely control Sonos volume without phone/tablet/controller. I would like a simple device that provides volume up/down/mute. Sometimes it's nice to walk up, press a button and mute a zone (or change volume, etc) without the need to pull out the phone, unlock, go to sonos app, select the zone, and then change the volume. Ideally, this remote volume control would be assigned to control one or more zones. I've had Sonos since the days of the original controller and the zp100s. Back then I wired volume controls in rooms to achieve what I'm describing above. Now I am looking for the flexibility of a wireless solution with better Sonos integration. If you are familiar with Philips Hue lighting devices, then what I am looking for would be something similar to the Hue dimmer device which allows you to easily control one or more lights without using the Hue app.

When I try and add tracks to a playlist I get the following message: No playlists have been added to your Sonos playlists yet. The playlists do show up momentarily but are then replaced by the error message - it is really quite annoying and hope that it can be resolved quickly. Many thanks

Need instruction on how to connect the LD non-IR remote to the sonos volume settings.

I want to completely remove the sonos controller and undo all changes made on installation and attempted music library access. I deleted the app and one folder that was just sonos files, but when I search for recent files, I find sonos made changes to more than a dozen system files. Is there an uninstall program? If not, how do I undo the changes the sonos program made to my computer?

Is there gonna be any password protection for the Sonos?? I'd love to know. Theres nothing more I love then getting a heart attack in the middle of the night by someone playing metal on max volume on the sonos in my bedroom. This is why I don't recommend the Sonos speakers.

Hello, I am running Controller for Mac version 7.0. Every since I updated to it, when I try to browse my music library it shows there us "No Selections are available" I have deleted my folder in preferences where iTunes stores my music and added it again a few times. It will add all the music and will show up in the music library, but then it will all drop off by the time I go to use the system again. Any ideaS? Thanks

I use the Sonos application on Windows 10 and on Android devices. When I look at the list of my "Imported Playlists" i See a large number (about 34) of playlists with the name "Internal error - Invalid Atom". It looks like they are old "queues" that I created at various times. Why were they created and how do I get rid of them?
