Good morning, in my house I have 2 Play 1 (in two separate rooms), 1 Playbar, and 1 SUB (in living room). This morning the Sonos app asked me to update the software to the last version (I understood that is an update for adding Playbase features). At the end of the installation it returns me an error (no specific number) and now i don't see anymore the Playbar and the SUB but only the two Play 1 devices. I didn't change anything to the previous configuration (e.g. router or something else). I Tried also to install them again but they are not detected anymore...what I have to do? Please help me! Thanks in advance
Probably a simple answer but I cant find any way to clear the queue for a Sonos player, has this changed because I am sure there used to be a button for this function. Thanks - Martin
Hi I'm looking for some help. Hopefully it will be a quick fix. I'm having issues with controlling my system through the apps on my devices (iPad, iPhones). The app on my various devices keeps losing contact with Sonos and states that "you need to be connected to a wireless network to use Sonos" It does this frequently! The wifi on all my devises throughout my house is never less than 2 bars and I get this issue when wifi is connected and strong. The speakers (including the speaker on the 2nd floor) continue to stream the music but I loose control through the apps. The router is on the ground floor at the front of the house and the bulk of the system (play bar, 2 play 1's and a play 3) is on the ground floor with 1 play 1 on the top floor bedroom. The house is a Victorian Terrence (my neighbours love the deep bass!) so not a massive distance for the wifi. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Hi there, spent some time searching the community/web/app store but seem to either having to improve my search methods or just missed it: I need a simple app or automation workflow that enables me to configure scenes for SONOS usage during the day e.g.: - 6:00am - wake up - press 1 (!!!) button on the iPhone and my SONOS starts playing a station/playlist/song in my bedroom and bathroom wheras all other grouped speakers are muted. - 6:45am - move from bathroom to breakfast - press 1 (!!!) button again and music is transfered to living room and kitchen speakers. Seems very simple to me (no IT / coding background) but frustratingly impossible at the moment where everyine talks about hoem automation.... Apologies for the sarcasm - maybe there is someone who can point me towards a solution or at least you guys from SONOS put that on the list for future app updates. Thanks
I have found what I believe is a bug in the Sonos controller, at least for macOS. I have notified Sonos, and they've asked me to call which I will try to do on Mon/Tue. But I suspect that others will see this with the Mac controller as I've noticed this on 2 different Macs on the same Sonos system. Further, I have tested this on a Win 10 PC and the same Sonos system, and the Win PC displays properly. I am interested to know if others see this... I have a number of artists with many albums. I noticed that for artists with enough albums to force the Sonos app to group by letter, that if there is an album with a numeric title, it throws off the grouping. I have 2 screenshots attached: Rolling Stones (49 albums) - The album 12 x 5 appears 1st in the list. Then, A Bigger Bang is still in the A section, but Aftermath falls down to the B section. This continues for other letters. All the way to the end of my Rolling Stones collection, Undercover falls to V. And the final album, Voodo
Can anyone help, I am unable to reauthorize my apple music to my sonos since changing password for iTunes?? help me I feel like I'm going mad
Hi guys, Ive been told to get anything changed we must gather many comments so Sonos will develop the change. So please comment if you think this would be good. You need to find a way that we can use Spotify (in the sonos controller) in OFFLINE mode. So we can listen to our play lists without using our bandwidth. The only way i can work out this can be done is using the spotify homepage and using a sonos connect, we all know these cost a further few hundred dollars and with some efforts we should be able to use the spotify features in the sonos controller with greater ease. Sonos is heavily advertised in regards to music services etc so please increase the features in this area in regards to the controller. With the new chrome devices on sale you need to keep up to stay ahead. Thanks Mike
My boyfriend spends 3-4 days a week at my house and has a Sonos Controller App installed in his phone to control my Sonos Play 1 and Play 5 systems. He got a Play 1 and Play 3 for Christmas and is having issues connecting to his own systems when he returns home from my house. Is there something he needs to do when he leaves my house or arrives home st his house to have the Sonos Controller App automatically switch to his system? It's really frustrating that it doesn't just automatically work. He tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Sonos Controller App this evening but it didn't seem to work. Any advice for two Sonos novices?
I'm hoping someone can help me with this problem. Before getting a new laptop I had no problems accessing my iTunes library and playing on my Sonos via my wireless home network. I could also play iTunes through my iPad Sonos app. Now that I have a new laptop, I just can't get the music library set up. Both laptops were/ are PC and my new laptop runs with Windows 10. I'm not very technical but I'm good at following instructions. This is what I have done so far: I have downloaded the controller, followed all the tutorials on managing the library settings (adding the new folder, disabling my firewall, setting my windows network to private), and still my library doesn't show up. I have removed and added the iTunes music folder numerous times and while I can "add" the folder, I am not getting the option to adjust sleep settings or any of the other screens shown in the online tutorial When I check my imported playlist, my music library is not showing up. I have tried indexing and still
My system has been connected and having no problems. Then I started getting fairly regular error messages on all my controllers "Your Sonos System Not Found". Then the controller functionality returns and I hit play again... only to see that same system not found message 5-10 minutes later. I'd love some help trouble shooting this problem.
Hello, ever since I updates my sonos software to the latest version whenever I want to play 1 song from my library it keeps adding the entire album that song belongs to to my playlist. But I don't want that, I just want it to play that 1 song and stop just like it did with the older version of the software I used before. Does anyone know how I can accomplish this?
Hi, I have an issue with the Sonos App on my Sony Xperia Z1 Compact where the tracks regularly skip to the next one half way through a song. It's definitely the Sonos app as I've tried it through the built in Walkman and Google Play music players and it definitely doesn't do it then. Any ideas on what could be wrong? I've done a search but can only find one link which doesn't help. (I can't paste that link as this my first post).
I have an old CR100 Remote for my Sonos. I actually have 3 of them all were Ok until one kept losing its charge and would turn off after removing it from the cradle. I have replaced the battery but can no longer connect this controller to my Sonos system. I have tried resetting it and letting the battery go flat. But still no joy. The controller does not have a mac address on the about controller screen. Any Ideas please.
My girlfriend and I have separate Spotify premium accounts. Both are registered in Sonos. But while I'm home trying to listen music selecting my account she's using Spotify in a laptop at her job and there's an error message saying we can not use Spotify at the same time. But as I said, she's in her account and I'm in mine. Please help. Diagnosis: 4703078
Recently my Sonos has started dropping different players in the house. This is probably my weak wi-fi but when I try and add them back the Controller says there is an update and wants a password. I don't have/know a password and there is no way to reset/forgot password. Any ideas? Hoping this will solve the dropping issue.
Will there bad an App for the Apple Watch ??
Tablet video app sound compatibility.
I have had this problem since upgrading to Sierra a few months ago. I have a MacBook Pro (17-inch, Late 2011) with the Sonos Controller v7.0. When the MacBook goes to sleep the Sonos system will play for a while (probably whatever is in the buffer) and then just stops. When I wake up the MacBook, I see an empty Sonos Controller template that takes about 2 minutes to fill in with any data (my ROOMS, NOW PLAYING info, QUEUE contents and "Select a Music Source" menu). I have seen a couple other threads with the sleep issue, but there doesn't seem to be a robust solution. I have tried reinstalling the controller and re-indexing the library but still get the same problem. As long as the MacBook is awake there is not a problem. Prior to the SIerra upgrade everything worked fine. Has anyone else seen this problem and is there a solution? Is Sonos aware of it?
We really need a Sonos original app for Windows Phone. Please include this in the roadmap!
want to control my sonos from my watch it very important to me and everyone else........ Can you guys make it happen..????
I have a new Dell inspiron 5000 series and I have been unable to add the music library to my Sonos app. The music is held in Itunes under the Music folder. I have disabled the Norton firewall and changed other firewall options as per your support document, still to no avail. I have checked the security on the share and it allows Sonos read/write access...Any ideas?
I have an iMac using the highest allowable OS of 10.7.5 because of hardware constraints. Sonos automatic update has removed my ability to connect to iTunes and/or update my library. I'm not going to buy a new computer.Does anyone have a work around on getting iTunes into the new Sonos update?
The app doesn't have the option to add a music service? Any one know how to add, for example, Pandora?
