Talk about Sonos S1 and S2 Controller apps for mobile, and the desktop app. This is also the place to talk about partner apps, Airplay, and direct control.

I know that there's no official web controller however there's: https://github.com/denysvitali/sonos-web However, I was wondering if there's one people generally use besides the one I posted (to which I have no affiliation). Kind regards, Paulo
I love the CR100. It's so much faster than running an app on my iPhone (just pick it up and you're off...no app to run, no new interface to learn), it has dedicated buttons for all of the major features, and I've been using it for about 9 years now. Recently Pandora stopped working from the CR100. I can play Pandora from my iPhone, but not the CR100. When I select it, the CR100 says "Unable to browse music". So I tried going to the Music Menu > System Settings > Music Service Settings, OH but wait! Music Service Settings has been removed. Now there is NO WAY to add, change or remove music services from the CR100. Don't get me wrong, I know the CR100 is a dinosaur. I know it doesn't have enough oomph to run the new protocols, etc. I just want my Pandora to continue working. And if that's not possible then would Sonos be willing to open up the CR100 code to the Open Source community? Maybe some of us developers could revive the best little Sonos controller out there...
Hey, I just updated to the latest Sonos controller software on my laptop about five minutes ago and for some reason it has had the following affects on my system: Sub-Woofer: completely lost all 'oomph!' - it's actually hard to tell whether it's on or off now. Surround Speakers (Two Play 1s): Sound coming out all crackly and muted. Playbar: same issues as surround speakers. Overall the sound is generally just more muted, and the bass is now weak across the whole system, even if I turn the sub-woofer up full, you can barely hear the bass. It's a real shame because the last couple of updates seemed to really boost the sound quality overall, but this latest sound is crap. And before anyone asks: No, I have not done anything to the equipment, literally just updated the software. Is there a way to roll-back to the previous update? Anyone else noticed this? Cheers, Andy
Is there a method to adjust volume based on numerical values to ensure that your system volume is consistent
Is there anyway to setup alarms to fade-in over a set time? Like with my Philips Hue lights where I simulate a sunrise, I would like to gradually increase the music volume over say 10min.
I have two sonos systems in different houses. Do you use the same Sonos app to control?
I have a ipod touch 4 that i want to use with the Sonos app and my itunes library as well as Spotify and Deezer. It deems the latest Sonos app i can use is 6.2.2 which I have installed. When trying to connect to an existing system I get a message informing me there is a problem and contact Sonos.Anyone know if I am trying to do something thats not possible ?
I don't own a CR100 controller, so I don't see why anyone else should get to use one, or even want one in the first place. I am struggling with the reasons to actually kill the CR100 off so could you please help me by answering the following question: 'Despite not owning a CR100 my life will be so much better when the CR100 is dead for the following reasons......' I do have one, 'because SONOS told me it was a good idea.' I ask politely that posters stay on topic and provide valid reasons relating to life improvements they will receive when the nasty CR100 is gone. Regards Dave
Allow users to customize the keyboard shortcuts because the default Sonos desktop shortcuts are uncommon and inconvenient
I'd like to know what the most current firmware versions are for the above products. My CR100 is on 4.3 build 251..280 and my Zone players are on 8.2 build 39247040c. i want to make sure that I have the last/latest firmware updates from Sonos. Thanks.
Whenever I click to update I am taken to the App Store to update. All the App Store allows to do is open the app again and nothing gets updated. Very frustrating.
I would like to have a new update fix for iPhone X asap.
I'm away from home for the holidays and just realized that I have an automated Sonos alarm setup. I was hoping I could remotely disable this (just like every other "smart" device on earth), but found another post here claiming that the only way to deal with this is to have a "friend or family member get as close to my home as possible to login to my wifi, use my credentials, and alter the alarm settings." This can't seriously be true, can it? I can't simply turn off my alarm using my phone whenever I travel (which would effectively mean that this feature is entirely useless for anyone who ever travels)? Is my Sonos system going to uncontrollably blare loud music disturbing my neighbors for the next 10 days???
Have had Sonos since 2012. Equipment was all installed and registered under my name and email. Somehow, after moving to a new home, my son managed to change the email and system registration. Now am locked out and can't setup system using all of my current equipment. Have Play 1, Play 3, Play 5, 2 Connect units and 2 connect Amps.
Was playing through connect in my living room an hour or so ago. This room has now disappeared from the app. I've tried rebooting the connect and my router and neither get the connect to show. The connect does come up if I connect directly to the router with a cable. Everything else in the room is working over WiFi and as I said, it was working over WiFi a couple of hours ago . Very very annoying how can I fix this
When tagging music with genre, it should be possible to use more than one and instead have multiple genres. For example: Benjamin Grosvenor's Rhapsody in Blue is not just "classical". It is "classical" and "piano" and "piano concerts" and "romantic" and "british". Rammstein's Herzeleid is not just "rock" but also "industrial metal" and "neue deutsche härte" and "german". Mike Oldfield's Exposed is not just "pop" but also "guitar" and "live" and "symphonic rock" and "orchestral". It is extremely difficult to shoehorn music into genres as it is, keeping it organised with only one genre is downright impossible. Some cross-over genres are even so eclectic that setting just one genre is unfeasible, e.g. Rodrigo y Gabriela or Roger Greenawalt and David Barratt's Beatles on Ukulele project. I am aware that using a UPnP server remedies this but since UPnP support is rudimentary at best (not mentioning having to have a server running), this is not a viable solution.
.. all nicely listed out like it is on my computer or CR200? If this is possible, please give me specific info on how to get there from another Sonos ios screen. Thank you.
I used to rave about SONOS a few years ago when I bought my system. Today, I regret it! The controller is the most unreliable piece of carp I have ever bought in my life. It crashes for no reason; it stops playing for no reason. It does not recognize my music library. It is capricious. I could go on and on...:@
I have gone into my Notification preferences panel and disabled Sonos per Auni's post here: https://en.community.sonos.com/controllers-software-228995/alerts-from-sonos-are-irritating-6757175 However, I am still getting Sonos notifications, which are coming through Chrome (?!). I checked my Chrome Extensions, and I don't have any kind of "Sonos" chrome extension, so I'm a little puzzled why this is coming from Chrome, and how to stop it?
I can't get my playlists imported from iTunes from my Mac. It looks like all the songs come over but not the playlists. I keep getting the error message above in the error log and do not know what is wrong. What should I do?
1. Is there a way to access data about what you have played through Sonos? Like in itunes you can see the history of what you have played and each track has a count of plays. 2. And if so, is there a way to merge/add this to an itunes library? Ideally I'd like to maintain a combined count of how many times each track has been played across the two systems (itunes and Sonos). Thanks!
I've used Sonos for several years now, and while I haven't been fan of the controller software it never caused me the level of frustration and outright anger I feel every time i use it now. It did it's job and overall I never gave it much thought. Context: we have 5 Play 1's, one Play 3 and one Play 5. 95% of the time I use the Android controller to control my system, unless I'm working from home on my Windows machine, and then I will use the Windows app. (Thank God I still have that...) I'd been ignoring the new release, as I knew I had no need for the Alexa features, but finally relented, as I got sick of seeing the prompt in the UI, and foolishly had not read any comments about the upgrade. From the get go, my first thoughts were: * Slow and sluggish - I use the software on a Nexus 9 tablet and a Pixel phone. On both of those devices the UI is markedly slower than the previous one, especially when searching for artists or tracks, or grouping/un-grouping devices. * Utterly un
I would like to see more options in the sleep timer. I primarily purchased the Play:1 for my bedroom. I'd like to be able to set the sleep timer for any amount of time, instead of the short list of presets at 15, 30, minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours. I'd like to be able to add whatever amount of time I choose. It would also be nice to be able to set it up like an alarm, where I can preset the amount of time and play list, so I don't have to go through that each time. Thanks for reading!
I have a 9-node system using Wifi (no bridge). All nodes play fine, but with the latest PC controller, I've noticed that if I leave it idle for a while (e.g., pause music playout for 10 minutes or more) then come back and hit the play button, I get the error message on the first try. On the second try, it works fine. Tried resetting the controller, no luck. Advice?
How do I access the queue on the iPhone in 8.3? On the iPad "Show queue" appears to the right of the volume bar, but it is not there on the iPhone.
