"we need to get Sonos running on the latest software" No, I really don't. Everytime I download the sonos update it will no longer connect to my controller AT ALL. Reinstalling older versions prompt me to download the BROKEN update again. The update will not detect the sonos system. Sonos now only works from my Android phone and will not work with any computer. If it's working fine, why would you FORCE an update? and not allow me to roll back to the previous version that was working yesterday? Fix your broken buggy mess of a program or I will throw it in the trash and tell all my clients to avoid Sonos like the plague.
Don't spam me in-app with ads for your products, Sonos. It's unacceptable. If you want to guarantee than I don't buy your products ever again, all you have to do is annoy me with a "new message" when I open the app, which turns out to be advertising. Stop it, please. It's very annoying, and I promise you that it's counterproductive.
After update to 8.4. my android controllers are not displaying the Music Library (local smb share on an ArchLinux NAS). Songs off the NAS play fine if I start them from a Sonos playlist that contains LIbrary Music, but they wont show up in the Android controller, Library is shown on the CR100 controller (have not checked desktop apps as I mostly use linux). I tried reindexing the share, deleting and adding the share (which seems to work as playlists still play). Does any one face a similar issue? Submited diagnostic 1661247771 for this.
Sonos cannot connect to my mac. I have followed all the instructions and very frustrated as I have spent a lot of money on an Audio consultant and the hardware ... and am still playing music on my phone when we have guests! please help!
I have just bought a Playbase and 2 Play:1 speakers. I have set them up as surround sound with true sound but the TV sound from my Playbase takes over and I can hardly hear the Play:1 rear speakers. How can I have simultaneous sound from all three (Playbase an Play:1) but be able to adjust the sound + and - in each Play:1 rear speaker?
lower minimum volume level: I spent my money to buy your product just because of the quality and the best wireless speakers. for goodness sake!!! fix the volume!!!!!! I can't listen to my library or radio stations because the damn speaker is just toooooo loud at minimum level. My wife has been complaining and i don't want to end up in the dog house or buy a bose system. This issue has been going on for 2 years and you guys still can't fix it. shame, shame, shame.....
I've been running my SONOS from a Windows 10 PC and all was well until they updated the controller which no longer does many things including pairing speakers etc. My Samsung tablet was working well but even the latest app no longer works with SONOS. As I'm not likely to spend loads of money buying a newer model tablet just to run SONOS I thought I'd get an app for my Windows phone. Apparently one is not available. What now?!
The issue I'm making this feature request to address is that, with Google Play Music, if I navigate to a podcast and want to listen to all the available episodes, and so I double-click the podcast to add all the episodes to the queue and replace it, they go in in reverse order. By which I mean the latest episode is the first in the queue, and then the next latest is the second in the queue. This means that when the podcast episodes start playing, I hear the latest one first. Which would be great if I were a regular listener, but isn't so great with podcasts where I don't listen regularly. Because there could be 2 or more episodes I then listen to in reverse order. Recognizing that part of it may be that Google Play Music's sorting is non-standard and reversed (I don't know - this is just conjecture), what would be nice would be a quick way to re-sort the queue to reverse it from its current sorting. If this is an operation I am just missing how to do in the current version of
How do you switch back to TV from music on the new Amp? I'm having problems switching between both - particularly back to TV?
I've attempted to unsubscribe from all Sonos marketing emails on multiple occasions, including contacting support. I continue to receive Sonos marketing emails despite all attempts. Has anyone successfully opted-out of Sonos marketing emails?
Sonos app said an update was needed. After update, Trueplay, EQ settings are not available. Under settings the following options are available: app settings, date and time, system, about, reset, submit diag. I am running iOS 9 on a iPhone 4s. What is really frustrating is that it has been working fine until the update. Help !!!
Not sure if this has been suggested before but couldn't find anything so apologize in advance if so: Has anyone done this as a workaround for the 65k track library limit? I have close to 500k tracks in my NAS based library. I gave up trying to make a 65k track library but streaming services have major f'ing holes in their offerings. So here is a proposed solution: A script that indexes your local library and then queries the services you subscribe to. It then compares what is in your local library with what is available through streaming. Based upon the results of those queries it makes a subset of your local library that moves or makes symbolic links to a library subset (folder) that Sonos then indexes. Your local library thereby only makes a library that complements what is available on streaming. This won't work for everyone like myself (e.g. live music libraries) but it will for studio albums. This could be set up to be done quarterly or monthly to limit overhead of all the q
Trying to upload changes to Sonos system. Asks for a password (never asked before), doesn't except my Sonos password and doesn't direct me to changing. Can't upload new changes.
After the last update, the Sonos app on my Pixel 2 (Android 8.1.0) has been the single biggest battery drain, causing a noticeable reduction in my battery life at the end of the day. It says most of the usage is foreground usage, even though I know that's not the case as I rarely actually use it on my phone. While on the subject, the 8.6 version on my PC (Win 😎 has started struggling to find speakers, and when it does it doesn't report what's on them correctly (says no music playing, when there is). If I try to change it to something else, that works and all looks OK for a while again...
I purchased two new speakers and when I went to add them I had to update the sonos program. After the update the "add speaker" selection is missing. Both on PC and on my iPad. How do we add new speakers now?
Hello. Today I swapped out my netgear router for a new Google Wifi system. I kept the network name the same. Every other network device in the house worked correctly with no changes. The Sonos controller on my mac works fine, as does my old touchscreen sonos controller, and so does the Sonos App on my android phone. However, none of my Ios devices (ipad or iphoe) work. It can not find the system and when I hit the buttons for it to connect it doesn't do anything. The android device found the system immediately with no issues. It feels like this is an Ios issue and not a sonos network issue, but looking for help. Thanks.
Has anyone else experienced this? Since upgrading my Sonos app yesterday (7/11/18) for the Airplay 2 update, I no longer see the lock screen controls during playback - and neither can I adjust the playback volume using my iPhone volume buttons.
Really confused by this. I can play music over AirPlay from my iPhone or iPad to my Sonos just fine. MixCloud example here: But on my Mac (which is on the same - and only - wifi network) iTunes and Spotify can find it but no sound comes out of my Sonos, In iTunes, if I set it to play sound out of both my Mac's internal speakers and my Sonos, sound only comes out of the Mac not the Sonos: Other apps such as QuickTime Player can't find Sonos at all: Under System Preferences - Sound - I can correctly see my Sonos Living Room group. I have of course restarted all devices & the computer. All software is up to date. What do I need to do to get my Sonos working on ALL apps on my Mac? i.e. (1) sound playing on the ones that can find it and (2) finding Sonos in all desktop apps. Setup: Sonos One & Sonos Play:1 (grouped as "Living Room") iMac 27" iPhone 8 iPad 6
Looking for support for Sonos to create a 5-band equalizer rather than the simple bass/treble sliders. Fantastic engineering behind the products...can’t be too hard to implement more user-defined listener preferences. Anybody with me?
After updating to version 8.3 the Sonos app rapidly drains the battery on an iPhone SE running iOS 11.2.5 (42% of all battery usage in the last 24 hours, overall to cca 40%, so 25% of battery capacity goes just for Sonos used for 4 minutes foreground and 1 minute background (!)). Lock screen controls is Off (since this was suggested as a possible cause in a number of places). I have also tried deleting and reinstalling the app: same behaviour. Before the update Sonos battery usage was only a few percent. Nothing else has changed. I uploaded the diagnostics 8420376. Sonos "solution" has been very helpful: "We have been investigating reports from customers who are perceiving high battery usage by the Sonos app on their iOS 10 devices. The data has now been analysed and we have determined the battery usage to be reading as expected. Our only advice to customers who do not agree with this is to force stop the app when it is not in use."
I created a daily 6:00 PM alarm a few days ago in a room that I have since deleted from my Sonos system. The original room was called Living Room 1 and that room no longer exist. Now I get notices on all my IOS devices that the alarm has gone off. How can I delete this alarm?
My Sonos Beam is randomly turning off my TV. I had to do some digging and troubleshooting, but I have discovered that the TV Auto Play is the culprit that is randomly turning my TV off. I have turned the AutoPlay off and I do not have any issues. That said, I do want the beam to auto play when the TV is turned on in lieu of having to go into the app to do so. My kids don't have the app and unless they do, the TV sound wont come out of the beam. Any ideas? TV: OLED C7 - 65" Sonos Beam Connection - ARC port
Are there any apps (3rd party even) that will allow me to “DJ” over my Sonos Connect: Amps? I’d like to be able to mix in songs and fade them in and out. A little scratching would be mix too!
I have Sonos throughout my house and have had no problems with it for a long time. I started off with 2 Sonos 5s and a bridge and then added more and now have the following configuration. Kitchen: 2 x play 5s paired, 2 x play 3s paired and a woofer. Living Room: 1 Playbar, 2 x play 1s and 1 woofer. Music room: 1 x Connect Amp. Bedroom: 1 x play1. Bedroom: 1 x play1. Study: Bridge connected to the router with Ethernet cable. I use spotify as my music streaming service. With the above configuration I didn't seem to have any problems. I have since added a Beam in the Kitchen and a Boost (to replace the bridge) and play 1 in the study. Since adding the play 1 to the study and Beam to the kitchen I have had no end of problems. The speakers keep dropping out and sometimes won't connect at all. The iphone app and ipad app are slow to respond when adjusting volume and sometimes when selecting new music to play some speakers continue to play the previous track for 10 to 15 seco
