I consider to buy sonos one speakers. Are there airplay-apps available to stream f.i. youtube music from my android tablet to sonos one? Kind regards, Bert

We spend a lot of time grouping and ungrouping rooms. The issue is stems from my wife's use of Party Mode. She likes to use Party Mode while she is cooking. I ungroup the outside speakers so as not to offend the neighbors. I ungroup the upstairs when the kids go to bed. I turn everything off and then create a new group to set the morning alarm. In the morning, I create a group in the kitchen and family room to read the paper. There has to be a better way! Why can't we just create groups of rooms and label them something easy to remember like "Cooking", "Kids in bed", "Alarm" or "Morning Coffee"?

I use the Sonos Controller from a PC with the latest Sonos update installed. I have all my music stored on a NAS drive. What I usually do is update the iTunes library with new tracks and then go 'Update Music Library Now' so I can see my music available in Sonos. Problem is that whenever I press on the 'Update Music Library Now' option, nothing happens i.e. the indexing doesn't start. Only solution I found so far is to force Sonos to re-index the entire music folder by removing the music folder from the Music Library Settings and add it again. Works but not very elegant... Note that the 'Update Music Library Now' option is NOT grayed out i.e. option is active but it doesn't initiate the indexing process. Needless to say that the NAS drive is visible and has the permissions wide open. Using the same exact Sonos setup, the 'Update Music Library Now' option used to work like a charm for years but for some reason it's no longer working since the last Sonos update. I would

Without wishing to go over old ground as I am sure this will have been discussed before, I have grave concerns about the longevity of my system components. Like many of you I bought into the Sonos experience back in 2008 and invested a few thousand pounds to get up and running. Over the years I have added other components to enhance the experience. Back in those early days and over the next few years I have to say that the whole experience of Sonos was fantastic. The build quality of the components being right up there with Apple. A few years ago the CR100 dedicated controller was rendered obsolete; a few months ago my iPad was rendered obsolete as a Sonos controller; I am informed that my iMac desktop has less than a year to go as a controller because it cannot support many more updates. Hi, Had SONOS many years and been quite happy with streamed Spotify and feeding via Connect from my HIFI. However now trying the higher quality streaming available. The issue I have is that if I use Qobuz via the app and Airplay its clear I am playing CD/FLAC but there is nothing in SONOS other than Qobuz place (FLAC) in brackets after the track name. If I search for say the Adele 21 album and then select Play the album is played in 320 but if I select each track individually the CD (FLAC) track version is played.  Is there a way to ensure I pick up the higher quality track if available?

How do i turn off wifi on hard wired players? I am having a problem with the TV Input on Sonos Amp.. it’s attached to TV via optical cable.  It will work intermittently, then essentially stops working and the controls are greyed out. Volume slider does nothing either.  All other sources work fine.  Any thoughts?    

My wife and I have Samsung Galaxy S5 phones running Android v 6.0.1 OS After the recent Sonos software update, we can no longer change many of our Sonos systems settings. We were able to access these systems settings from ours S5 phones before.  Our carrier, Verizon, does not offer a later OS for our phones and we don’t want to buy new phones at this time. This is particularly disappointing since I just purchase two more Sonos5 speaker’s and could not set them up from my S5 Phone. Please tell me why the basic setup functions should not be backward compatible with earlier Android OS’s How long will it be until I can no longer control my Sonos devices from my S5 running Android v 6.0.1?

Ok. Your app only works half the time on my Iphone XR. It wont connect to my wifi internet at my house again. This is a constant problem. I pay all this money to have this through my entire house and i have to deal with this. No its not a internet problem because everything else works just fine and yes i did reset my wifi time and time again and still nothing. yes i did reset and reboot my phone and nothing. Ive done all the basic trouble shooting and once again it still does not work. Please help

Hi Team,  I tried adding another music service and the option is greyed out, inactive on my android Sonos controller.  I them went to check for system updates and it says I need an update, currently have Version 10.5.1 - Build 53371041.  Clicked on update and it took me to Google play store, which then presented two options - uninstall or open. Selected open and it cycled me back to controller to update, this loop went on for several tries and now I need your help. Thanks,Chris M.

Can you make your Sonos have no Wi-Fi signal at all? My step had has been reading that Wi-FI and EMF are bad for you. so I’m not allowed to buy anything that as a Wi-Fi Signal. Any suggestion?

There is no More tab in the Sonos app

I'm setting up overhead music in the office and showroom. I am using WiFi, that is open to all employees. How do I password protect or disable Airplay option so employees are not accidentally (or on purpose) take over and broadcast whatever they pleased from their phones?

Since recent software update and Airplay support seems anyone on same wlan as my sonos can 'takeover' the system from YouTube/iOS devices to play whatever they are listening to, whilst its great that sonos now supports Airplay, please consider an option to disable this feature or restrict access to authorised sources/controllers, My kids have found it very entertaining that they can now control my sonos system irrespective of what is playing via Airplay.

I have purchased a ikea symfonisk bookshelf & wanted to know if I purchase a sonos play 1 sl will they connect & play music at the same time, or are they not compatible. 

Disappointed when I received this message when starting the app to play from my iPad. Not interested in having to pay for a service to stream from my music collection. What’s driving this decision? Note - creating an incentive for me to search for another music solution in my home. Can’t begin to describe how unhappy I am. Have been so happy with Sonos and bragged about the system to friends. That sounds like I’ll have to do a 180. Any one else feeling the same?

Hello friends, I am trying to do sound normalization in Windows. How can I get it done?  

I loved my Sonos system when I got it several years ago. Now, it's becoming a pain and I am about to replace it all. Skipping songs constantly. All tips I've tried had not resolved the issue. Turned off bluetooth, keep phone unlocked, etc. Don't need to reconfigure my phone every time I want to use Sonos. Now I soon won't be able to play songs off my iPhone. I got a pop up today in the app stating this. Really SONOS? Because you can't fix issue #1 you're going to remove it all together? That's my suspicion anyway. No support for 5 channel system. Expensive. I can now buy cheaper products and hook to Google home and have less problems. Makes me sad. This was a system ahead of it's time when I got it several years ago.

I received an update of the sonos app on my android. After the update I cannot manage my system anymore.  I tried to reconfigure many times the app and the sonos system...but nothing, it does not work.  The sonos system 5.1 works correctly with my spotify app or my t TV but I can't control it with the sonos app, it says that I have to configure the speaker in a blank screen... but it is not true because they are already configured.  May you help me ?
