I have a Sonos amp and have a kef kube sub. They have been working great but today the sub is cutting out after 5 seconds and my amp is not picking up the sub on my app. I have tried updating the system without any luck.
I just read on here that someone was having trouble with blown Sonance outdoor but the thread is now closed. So have to make a new oneI have a Beach Bar Restaurant & my beach area with all the tables is 20m x 20m 1 side being the sea and the opposite centre is a tree planning to mount high up 2 x Sonance outdoor facing diagonal L & R to the beach and the Sonos Amp. There is potentially the option to use another central tree about 8-10m from the sea which could mount facing the sea or back to the restaurant I can’t find any decent reviews of Sonance Outdoor online, and nothing to give a sense of volume available. I have 2 Era 300 which sound great so I’m presuming at least as good as those...It's a sit down restaurant (but lively) so music needs to be back ground music (people shouldn’t need to shout) with great sound quality, but with prolonged use - They will run for 14 hours per day every day.Now I see the thread about someone with repeated blown speakers and others recommend
I cannot find a code at the bottom to add the amp to my system. Is it possible to get a connection without the 6 code?
Good Morning,I recently purchased a SONANCE MAG6.1 System w/ a Sonos AMP that I’m planning to setup in my back yard / patio area. I’m having trouble with deciding on the best placement for the 6 speakers+sub.I was leaning towards just covering the patio area, but may also consider covering some of the other back yard areas as well. With only one AMP in my configuration, however, it seemed like that may not be ideal in terms of adjusting volumes for the different areas of the yard.Would appreciate any advice you have. Please ignore all the brown grass in the photo - just had lawn irrigation installed a few weeks ago.
I have a lot of older Sonos Speakers and a couple of newer ones. One newer one is a PORT which I downgraded to make it S1 compatable. Anyway I would now like to make the PORT S2 as I only use it on my HiFi and do not stream it to other devices. So I have managed to remove 2 Play 5s from my S1 app as part of the upgrade process but now I want to put them back. The SOnoS 1 app says I need to update so I cannot. The S2 app says devices incompatable or something. What is the quickest way to get my Port on S2 and all other devices back in S1. I seem to be stuck in a loop at the moment.
I have 2 Sonos Amps. One powers deck speakers (irrelevant, I think). The other powers Sonance 6.1 outdoor speakers around my pool. Both Amps are located inside my house. I am trying to figure out how to output audio through the pool speakers if I were to add an outdoor TV/projector. I really don’t want to drill more holes and bury more cable. Are there any good wireless solutions? I do have lots of access to power around the pool area, if that makes any difference at all. Otherwise, the amp is approx 35ft to first speaker and at least 50 feet or more from where I would place the video source. As another note, I live in a high humidity/high moisture/hot climate in the summer, so I opted not to use a “weatherproof” box to house the amp by the pool. TIA
ZP00 will not factory reset, only displays only amber light
I have just set up 4 Sonance VX60R speakers in the ceiling of my studio and want to optimize them with my Sonos Amp. The speakers are all wired correctly and there are no switches or volume controls. When I try to optimize the speakers on the Sonos App I hear the high pitched tone but receive a message saying “No Sonos architectural speakers detected. Any help optimizing this set up would be appreciated.
Hello! I am going to have a party and wants to have some speakers in my garden. If I rent a couple of Soundboks would it be possible to connect them to a Sonos Port? How would I solve it? with cables or wireless?
I have a wired system connected to a tuner and CD player and turntable. I want to slowly migrate to Sonos to add wireless speakers. It looks like I can take the L&R speaker output cables from the tuner and connect them to the port to get the signal on the air. Is that correct?
Hello, I searched but couldn't get exact clarification on this specifically. I have two DVC Episode 8ohm Rock speakers at a new home were moving to. I have 1 AMP and know that the minimum impedance it can handle is 4ohm. To maximize the DVC speakers safely with the AMP, what would be the best wiring scenario. Two wires are red/black and two are green/white connected to each speaker. Thanks!
I am planning my kitchen and dining room. I am installing 2 sets of in-cieling sonos speakers in my kitchen and the adjacent dining room I wanted to put in-wall speaker/s. My question is do I need to put a pair of in wall speakers (3rd in parallel series) or can I just put one in in-wall speaker? the room only requires one speaker based on size, but not sure that I could do 3 on the right and 2 on the left and everything would function well. Thanks
I have a large Sonos system (19 devices). I have purchased another 10+ devices in the past but upgraded them. So needless to say I know my Sonos.I have had a problem with a Ghost TV as the main imput into two of my rooms that only have amp(s). A while go I factory reset all of my devices and everythign was working great. Then one day I choose to expand the TV to these other rooms. I have not been able to remove the Ghost TV since then. L2 has even replaced one of my amps. The good thing is that after 9 months I think I know the fix. I have to factory reset all of my devices (2+ hours) to get rid of the Ghost TV, and never expand the TV into those rooms again. The problem with the Ghost TV is that those rooms become surrond sound speakers only. NO - I will not talk to support desk any more. Hours upon hours to get to support desk to go now where - you guys are painful. Enough with varify my phone number, email etc…..Every time - Every transfer after 20 min of let
I am looking for some help with an older Sonos system. It is a simple system with just a Sonos Connect plus a Sonos Connect Amp. All connected to a Fritzbox 7582 and a Synology DS 220+ via ethernet cables and controlled by the Sonos S1 app on Android or Windows 11. The system has always been also connected to the Wi-Fi network. My “simple” problem is that any system configurations, for example the room configuration, are erased every time the Wi-Fi is disconnected. This in not such a big deal but is simply annoying, especially as far as I remember was not a problem with earlier versions of the app. From what I have read the solution is to disconnect the Sonos from the Wi-Fi network. This should be simple to do as there is a position in the app for exactly this. But when I do this, it simply switches the Wi-Fi back on after several seconds and tells me I have to check that an ethernet cable is connected.Apparently according to some internet forums one can send a http command to the Sonos
I have two Sonos Connects and two Sonos Amps. (4 zones). All managed by Control4 and all worked fine until I upgraded the C4 controller to a Core3 and at the same time upgraded the C4 OS from 3.2 to 3.4.3. Now volume control of the Sonos Amps is fine, but volume control of the Sonos Connects does not work. The Connects go to either 100% or 0% when voluyme is adjusted. Both Connects line out settings are ‘passthrough.” C4 had no solution. Any ideas. The Connects are worthless in their current volume control state.John

I tried searching for the topic posted, but I couldn’t find any assistance to my specific problem.I have a Onkyo TX-NR6100 and a Sonos Port. The setup was easy on my 20 year old Denon receiver, but sadly that died, and I saw the “Works with Sonos” on the receiver I purchased thinking it would be a simple replacement. But I cannot figure out how to get my Turntable or local radio stations to play over the ERA 300’s I have. The local radio station is important because our son has a radio show for a local radio station that doesn’t have any sort of app or live streaming, we would like to stream it so we don’t have to listen to it on a little portable radio, or buy anything else. My current setup from a search is as follows:Port input connected to Zone2 OutputCoax Digital in port connected to Coax Digital In on the ReceiverTurntable connected to CDZone 2 is turned onCoax Digital is set to CDI called Sonos support and they only showed me how to connect the turntable to the port, which I a
Hi I just moved into a new house and it came with a 2009 Speakercraft audio home system. The wires are 16 gauge and i believe it is an mzc 66 system. I bought a Sonos Amp and am trying to connect it to the speakercraft connector which is a 16bit plug covered in plastic. After calling a local professional who analyzed the photos I gave him, I was told that I need a Niles 4 room speaker selector in order to get it working. I was wondering if that is the only alternative and if so how would a 16bit plug connect to it? I’m new to Audio technology so any insight would be great appreciated.
Can I use a sub 4 WiFi with a port?
Green light on port, why?
Hi,I’ve got three Sonos systems, two with the new Amp using the latest Sonos controller and one I was continuing to use my old Connect:Amp. When I tried to turn on my connect:amp after 9 months it boots up ok but I couldn’t see it in the S1 app. So I reset the amp, now Sonos S1 app doesn’t find it - it’s plugged directly into my router, I’ve reset the amp device and it’s flashing green light so looks ready to add. Any advice much appreciated!
I long ago sold my Bridge and my Sonos S2 app no longer show the device. However, the sonos.com list of equipment still show it along with two controllers. I only ever had one and also sold it. How do I remove that equipment from my sonos.com system list?
I use Sonos Port to blend my Yamaha R N303 network receiver and stereo PSB MK ii speakers. the Port blends the PSB speakers with 2 Sonos play 5 and a Move speaker. I use IPhone 13 and IPad to interface with Spotify and Sonos app. 90% of the time I adjust volume within the Sonos app. I have to adjust the Receiver volume up to 65%-85% and also the sonus PSB volume considerably higher than the play 5s and move. this afternoon I hooked up 2 mordant Short outside wired deck speakers as B on the Yamaha. This also presents a very low volumes . To get a decent loud volume on either the PSB or deck speakers I have to turn the receiver up high as well as adjust the port to high volumes well above the Sonos speakers in the app. I’m very uncomfortable with this for fear of a glitch blowing both sets of speakers or other damage. How should the port volume work. If the 3 Sonos speakers are at 40- Should the PSB speakers also be at 40?
Building on other threads on this topic (all of which have been closed by Sonos), I want to also share that I had an absolutely terrible support experience with my Sonos Connect (which powers hard wired speakers in the house). It suddenly lost wifi connection and ultimately Sonos support told me I had to keep it connected to my router -- which is a non-option given where the speakers are located. After it worked fine for 5 years. Ultimately, I bought a Port -- all I got was a 15% off coupon. After countless hours on the phone with support and sales. The Port works fine, including on wifi, but I wish Sonos would have just told me “The Connect is dead, buy a Port” -- and it would also have been nice if they made it easier and less costly to upgrade. I have multiple Sonos devices in the house, but my loyalty is in question after this terrible customer service experience.
My SONOS was working great for the past year- until it wasn’t last week (just as an app refresh was released.) After spending 4 days troubleshooting, with ChatGPT and multiple calls to SONOS, we narrowed down the likely issue to NAT interference between my Vodafone router and ExpressVPN. With that, we unplugged the power from my VPN, and tested with both Sonos radio and Gloval player. They worked. The larger NAT interference solution from the SONOS tech was for me to call Vodafone and ask them to put my router in bridge mode, or switch the router out for a modem. Only snag is that I’m posted to Germany. Still, Google translate helped me schedule a call with a Vodafone rep later today to try to address the issue. In the meantime, even though my network is showing up in the app, my Sonos radio and Global Player are connected to the app, and I have internet and WiFi working, I’m getting an error message “Something went wrong. Try again.” Any ideas? My system goes from the cable hard-wir
