I recently purchased a pair of the Sonos Architectural speakers. I noticed my Sonos amp purchased in 2021 does not have the ports to have the speaker wire connected to it.  I have the sonos amp connected to a Yamaha two zone receiver.  Will i be losing performance of the architectural speakers without the sonos amp having the ability to run the outdoor speaker wires to it?  Do i purchase a newer amp which will be able to provide more power to the speakers, or stay with the speakers being powered by the Yamaha receiver.  Presently, i feel the sonos outdoor speakers are underperforming.  They do not have the bass the other sonos speakers have.

Sounds like you have a Port and not a Sonos Amp that is connected to the Yamaha amplifier:

Here is the Sonos Port that is used with a non-Sonos amp or other audio equipment

Here is the Sonos Amp, that will power speakers on its own

The interior speakers will tend to sound fuller than outdoor speakers because the ceiling acts like an enclosure. The outdoor speakers have to contend with the wide open space of the outdoors.

If you are able to purchase two Sonos Amps, one for the interior speakers and one for the exterior speakers, then you can set the EQs differently so that the outdoor speakers can produce more bass.

@Pools-3015, thank you for the guidance.  I will look into adding the Sonos Amps.
