I have tried everything to get my Connect Gen 2 to update so I can add it to my S2 system. It fails with a 1014 error 14 seconds in every time. I’ve tried creating a new system for it with no other sonos speakers, just one sonos speaker, a dedicated router, multiple app restarts, new accounts, login in/out, but nothing works. This post didn’t solve it either 🥺I spent time with Sonos yesterday who insisted it was my router setup but I’ve simplified that down to being the only connection to a new wifi router and that doesn’t work either. I thought it may be my Connect so bought two more from CEX which experience exactly the same failures 14 seconds in to the update, so it has to be the Sonos app (which I’ve tried on iPads and iPhones and have deleted/reinstalled multiple times) or the connection/updater at the Sonos end. This is immensely disappointing from a system that used to be bullet proof Any suggestions greatly welcomed!
Sonos boost is not showing on the new app keeps saying not available can you please reinstall it back on the new update
The new version is somewhat slower and the user interface is less user-friendly. If I had known I would not have upgraded.
Hi,has somebody found an official SONOS statement, which SONOS speaker functions are still usable when not connected to the internet (offline)? In the new SONOS app, I just tripped over an additional login screen when trying to configure an individual speaker. Sorry, that is a no go - I must be able to configure my speaker (my money) without the SONOS corporation. I am afraid of a scenario where SONOS goes under e.g. SONOS get sued by a competitor into bankruptcy, their servers go offline. Then I am stuck with thousands of dollar of worthless speaker junk.Any thoughts? Cheers,Dirk
with new update I cant adding tracks while playing music on spotify..
Moderator Note - Translation by Google:Hello friends,I have always connected an external sub to my Sonos Amp. Until before thatUpdate also worked wonderfully. Under Sub Audio I was able to control the external bass. Since the update, the Sub Audio function is permanently on and cannot be deactivated. Furthermore, the bass box no longer produces any bass. Does anyone have a solution for this?
Hi, Maybe two or three times a week, I hear a clicking / popping sound from the speakers connected to of my Sonos Connects. It happens even when there is no music playing, and seems to happen at random intervals. Is there a way to access the logs from the Connect in question? It’d be very helpful to determine if the Sonos Connect is rebooting or doing something else unusual at these moments so I can rule out problems with the downstream amp. Thanks for any help! -- Andrew
How can I reset my Sonos connect?
My boost is registered but after update yesterday it says not available. Network is also not available in my Sonos rooms.
I have tried to call Sonos a few times to resolve this and been on hold over an hour and nobody picks up. This has been ongoing for a year or so now. I have about 9 Sonos speakers across my house. My diagnostic is ************. I have tried resetting the account, doing the mesh network reset. I can't pinpoint where the heck it's coming from. It takes literally a minute for the app to register what is playing and on what speaker. It's super frustrating having thousands of dollars in a “premium system” that operates worse than a basic Bluetooth speaker. Anyone have any random ideas to fix it? I have 4 ones, 2 fives, arc, playbar and a Roam. I first thought maybe because some speakers are gen 1 and 2 but that doesn't seem right they worked flawlessly for years before. any ideas would be great! I am trying to reconnect my Sonos and now it wants an eight digit code which is not on the bottom of my amplifier. What do I do?
Upon installing the new sonos app on my iPhone 14 pro, my boost was no longer listed as part of the system. I reinstalled the boost but now I get a prompt that says the boost cannot be registered to my account. I’ve gone through 3 resets of the boost, and rebooted my modem, router and Synology where the music library resides. Still no fix. Can’t get to my music library now. Help.
Setting up Sonos AmpTried both wireless and wiredEntered the 8 digit pin on back of Sonos AmpGetting error we are unable to confirm PIN for your sonos ampCannot move past this step, I have tried to reboot my router, phone, Sonos Amp...
Es gibt vergleichsweise gute Alternativen Unterschrift Farbsammler Moderator Edit: Google Translate- It's outrageous for an expensive system to issue such a poor release. Why isn't the old app reinstalled? Why is Sonos forcing their suggestions on us? Why can't I sort radio stations according to my preference? I will advise my friends and acquaintances not to go to Sonos. There are comparatively good alternatives to signature color collectors
yet another bug from the app - The gift that keeps on giving :) - Trueplay tuning no longer works on my Sonos Architectural ceiling speakers, despite it being turned ‘on’ in the app, the sound does not change when toggling the trueplay on and off. I have tried retuning but same result. Please allow us to revert to the old app until this is resolved.
New patio build with 3 outdoor “zones”. Looking for setup recommendations - particularly how to optimize 6 passive speakers lined to 1 Amp.Recommendations for which outdoor speaker options work best to be wired in parallel to the single Amp. Other than the Sonos/sonhance architectural outdoor speakers. Could you use another brand? Is there a recommended brand/type of 18 gauge speaker wire for this application? How could I arrange for 2 of the speakers (one zone) to play sound from our outdoor TV? Or would it have to play on all 6 speakers equally? Would this require we run an HDMI cable from the Amp to the TV?Thanks!
Connect:Amp periodically drops out, BUT, because I can hear the same program playing through a Connect in another room, which is connected to the Connect:Amp through the SONOS network, I know there is nothing wrong with the internet connection. The Connect:Amp is connected to the router via an ethernet cable. My wired ethernet connection runs at 700+ Mb/s consistently.
Hello – I am longtime Sonos user dating back to first gen equipment and app. I have two current gen individual speakers and one amp running music throughout my home. I recently purchased a second amp to power a pair of passive speakers, however, the amp unable to connect to my Sonos system. I get various error messages with the only suggestion being to unplug the amp and waiting 10 seconds. I just tried to give the support line a call to no avail, so I’m hoping the community can point me in the right direction. Thanks!
Is it only the 6.5" version of these that can be pivoted
Line-In function on brand new (purchased 5-10-24) not working. Tried a factory reset, multiple different cables, different audio sources, multiple line-in to usb-c adapters. Nothing has changed. The app shows Disconnected even when the cable is connected.
I've a new amp with sonance ceiling and garden speakers. I've got these up and running well. Felt they were lacking a bit of depth so get myself a gen 3 sub to give them a little help.I've followed all the connection and set up steps for the sub and the app recognises it and is telling me its not assigned. When I try to add it to 'family room' which currently only has the amp and sonance speakers assigned to it, it fails to add it. I've reset the sub a couple of times but no luck yet. I've read it can be too far from the amp so I've moved them right next to each other but still no joy.I was very excited to get this set up but feeling real frustrated right now!Any suggestions?
Only option is to replace queue. This feature seemed to be lost with new app. Android.
Hello, My friend has a Sonos Connect:AMP that appears to wirelessly connect to two pairs of ceiling speakers. One pair of speakers works, however the other doesn’t. The speakers are connected to a Niles SS-4 Speaker Selection System if that is important as well, there are volume knobs throughout the house that control the volume of the speakers I’ve seen online and my theory is that the speakers share the same IP Address, so only one pair of speakers is actually receiving any type of data? I’ve reset the router and Connect:AMP which didnt seem to work. I also understand I should log into the router but that is restricted so next step would to connect to the router through ethernet, but are there any other fixes or found solutions? Some technicians said to just rewire everything and install new speakers, which would be thousands of dollars for some reason but as far as I see its just a wireless problem? Thanks
Hello!Sadly my sonos amp has stopped working more specifically the power circuit suppling 48v.R1263 and R1262 resistors are blown, most likely that isn’t the only issue but it’s the only component in which i cannot read the value from. R1262 i’ve figured out has the value 102, 1kOhmBut R1263 i cannot find any information about. Does anyone know the Ohm value of that resistor?I’ve marked the location of the resistors below. ( borrowed image ) From a very kind person i also got this from some of their old photos, but i can only read out the value of R1262 from it. I maged to take a close up image of R1263 on my board, sadly i cannot make anything out from it.
When I have the Sonos amp, two paired Sonos 1s and Roam switched on, although the app recognises the presence of Roam it will not allow me to play music on it. It directs music to the amp and 1s OK but for some reason not roam. In order to play music on roam I need to switch off both the Sonos Amp and also the Sonos paired 1s. Bizarre. I am becoming to seriously hate this new app whereas I loved the old one,
