I have 10 Sonos ZP100s connected to 2008 Bose Lifestyle speakers. In readiness for upgrading to S2, I have bought an AMP to check it works with the Bose speakers. What happens (using S1) is that I can inititally get sound (good quality) but when the music stops playing, after 2 minutes there is a very loud hum.Are these speakers compatible with the AMP?ThanksPS the Bose speakers have 6 ‘code’ switches; all have to be in the UP position for Sonos to work - but then you get the hum, so it does not seem to be a matter of configuring those.
Until recently I could use my iPhone to watch a Youtube video and play the audio on my Sonos One Now the Sonos One does not appear as a device to send sound to.Is there a workaround?Sonos say to use Youtube Music - this defeats the object as I want to watch a video.PS. I have a YouTube Premium account.
Hi,I’ve had some trouble with my IKEA Symfonisk from time to time. Yesterday we moved around some furniture and moved the Symfonisk as well. It got closer to the wired Port and the wireless One, which are the other Sonos players in the household. Since the move yesterday the Symfonisk has been totally useless, loosing the connection when playing music. The network matrix does show better numbers than before though. I tried switching to channel 6 (from 1), but the network matrix showed that it wasn’t the right thing to do. I don’t know what to do and would like some assistance. Diagnostics ID is 1532057974. Thanks,Johan
I have an Integra drx 3.2 receiver. The “works with sonos” feature has stopped working. It can no longer find my sonos connect or any sonos products for that matter on my network. Sonos is otherwise working fine. My receiver has the latest firmware update and is connected to my home network. Is anyone else having this problem? Any solutions?
This happens on a weekly basis where one side will drop but on a bi-weekly basis, the right speaker will disconnect and make it impossible to pair with the left. Since November 2020, I have had to do a factory reset almost every few weeks and reconnect in order to pair the two speakers. Super annoyed and prepared to switch systems if this does not get resolved.
This would be the fourth time that I am completely reinstalling my system. I have two Sonos Ones, and a subwoofer. It seems that whenever the app updates, or in this instance where I got a new phone… My entire world transfers over to the New phone, but for whatever reason my Sonos network and system is completely disappeared from the app. This is the fourth time this is happened. I’ve gone through all of the troubleshooting steps, I’ve reset my networks, then all that, this has become incredibly frustrating. Does anybody have any suggestions as to the reason for this occurrence?
Since updating to macOS 11.2 (and on 11.3 beta) i am no longer able to use Airplay to play on my Sonos speakers. What happens is:From Mac, open iTunes or other source of audio. Click sound output selector either in app, or from toolbar, or in System Preferences-Sound-Output and select the Sonos speakers. The sonos speakers are visible and able to be selected but the checkbox turns into a spinner sometimes, and in any event no sound is heard on the speakers. Once the output is set back to Computer Speakers it can be heard again.
When I play music on all of the speakers attached to my stereo system, there is a brief delay (a couple of beats) as between the sound that comes out of my (wireless) Sonos speakers and my (wire-connected) Advent speakers. Other than replacing the Advents with another pair of Sonos speakers, does anyone have any suggestions on how to cure the problem, i.e. get all speakers synched up for simultaneous sound? Thanks in advance for any responses, John
Hi, I have been trying to update my sonos for the last couple hours after re plugging it in over the weekend and not being able to use it. Originally the error code was 1101 so we did what they said; unplugged it all re plugged it back in still same error code, we tried unplugging main router and nothing we even tried on a different phone still nothing. Then today i decided to try again, new error code 1013. its plugged directly into the router and occasionally i click try again in hopes it will suddenly work to get a new error code like error code 30 or 1002. This is ridiculous and after plugging and unplugging and sitting on top of the router with the speaker and my phone and i still can not get it to update i need another solution? Thanks btw its a sonos play:1
Bonjour sur mon système sonos une de mes enceintes play 1 fait de la distortion sur les bassesMerci de votre aide
I’ve set the volume limit relatively low on a Sonos Move (20%), because of a toddler that thinks the only way to listen to music is turned all the way up.This is great and fantastic, until I go to put the speaker in sleep mode. It seems to look at the current volume level, think, “ah yes, 100%”, and then blasts its little sleep chime with all its force, usually startling us.Is there a way to make the system chimes respect the volume limit?
My sonos speakers are often not available on airplay options even though my wifi is working fine. I can’t see them in my Pandora app nor in my Sonos app. I can see other airplay devices like my Apple TV but the sonos speakers won’t connect. Rebooting my iPhone X seems to help but not always. Sometimes when I reboot my phone the sonos speakers will then be available in my airplay options. Any tips to help them stay connected? I have an Xfinity modem with the wifi turned off. I port the Xfinity modem into a Linksys Velop system with 3 nodes placed around my home.
Regardless of the service (Spotify or Amazon Music), I find that music will play for no more than 5 seconds, and then cut out.My router is an Eero.I have a Beam/Sub/(2)Play One SL in the master bedroom, and a Play:5 Gen 2 in the adjoining master bath.I love Sonos when it works, and would like to add it throughout my home; however, it’s hard to justify the cost when it doesn’t always work.Sometimes, the surround system in the master bedroom doesn’t show up in the app at all, and the only way I can get music to play is through Airplay in the Spotify app, and this cuts out sometimes, as well. The main Eero station is connected to my router in the master bedroom, so I don’t think range is an issue? Please help!Thanks~-I3
Hi allSuddenly my Play 1 has no bass. The sound is very low and trebble-ish. I have tried TruePlay again (which does not work as it stops during the process due to background noise no matter what I do) and resetting. Also the sound does not seem to change at all when changing the bass on the EQ. Anyone know what to do? Diagnostics sent: 277873147Mikkel
Hi all. Yesterday I unplugged my Bridge from the power strip and when I plugged it back in the system is now not available. I tried a different electrical outlet and still no go. I don’t see any activity lights on the Ethernet ports or on top of the bridge. Is it dead?I’ve also read that a bridge is no longer needed? What is required to do that? Thanks in advance for any help. Ed
I have several Sonos AMPs that work perfectly fine on several TVs. But this one TV is driving me crazy! I have all the TV settings correct (or at least match my other working setups in the house). It’s a slightly older Samsung TV (2015-2106), so that might be part of the problem, but when I turn the TV on there is no sound. I have to go into the Sonos app and manually tell that room to play TV and then it works fine. Why do I have to manually select TV inside the Sonos app to make it work? While it technically works, I can’t require guests and other family members go to an app to get sound. Is it just an old TV with a less advanced version of ARC that isn’t auto detecting and sending?
Hi, I am hoping you can help me. I have tried searching but cannot find any reference to this on Google or the sonos community (apologies if I have missed something!!). I keep getting a recorded message when listening to BBC radio saying I will no longer be able to listen from 22/23 March. I listen using Sonos radio. Are other people getting this? And is there a solution, I listen to BBC radio a lot and need this feature on Sonos or a major part of my listening is no longer possible. Thanks, Andrew
Hi,I’ve recently bought a Linksys mesh system using an MX5300 node connected to my modem and two further nodes connected to the MX5300. I also have a Sonos Move and Play 3 and Play 5 (Gen 1).These all got along fine until I installed the mesh system. After spending all day trying to set up I now have the Move working through the Sonos 2 app although Alexa acknowledges but won’t play radio stations. At various times the Play 3 and 5 have been recognised but now aren’t.I realise this is something to do with the various wifi networks/settings and not helped by the Play 5 being Gen 1 but seeing as they all worked together before I can’t see why I cannot get them to work now. The Sonos 1 app says to set up a separate system but whenever I reset it to try to use Sonos1 it just goes back to saying the app needs to be updated to Sonos 2.I also realise Sonos only works on 2.4Ghz. I can’t connect either 3 or 5 directly to the Mx5300. All help appreciated.
Hi all,I’m facing the issue described in the object just after the latest Android app update. Is there a way to fix it?Thank you
HiI originally purchased a playbar and sonos 1 and they have been great and I can pair them no issue. I then recently added a sonos gen 3 sub and I am getting a error in the sonos 2 app in the system info saying...."Your wireless network will not support the use of a sub or surrounds with your playbar". All devices have a solid white light on them and in the app is says the playbar and in brackets sub for the room setup.I have a BT Internet. Anyone know how you fix this please, before I look to send the sub back.
Hi,Ive started getting issues today where my Sonos Playbase is dropping out of sound for about 30 seconds before starting again. I have restarted Wi-fi and have the Playbase wired to my router but still getting these dropouts. The Playbase has a white light flashing while the sound drops out. I’ve also noticed when I change channel on Sky the sound drops and when I pause and start again the sound drops and white light starts flashing. I’ve also noticed if I unplug the Playbase from the router my app can’t find it, it only displays in app when hard wired. No idea what’s going on, I’ve submitted a diagnostic report 40417093, please could someone take a look? Many thanks
I have a Sonos One attached to a Boost (which is plugged into a Netgear Orbi receiver). This has worked fine until today. Today, music started to play but then it stopped. The app said music was playing but there was no sound.I did factory resets but when I went to search for new devices, it found none. Deleting and reinstalling the app doesn’t help. I guess these devices are still associated with my account. Any suggestions?
I have had and loved my Sonos One pair for more than 2 years now, but They’ve developed a problem over the last day. When I AirPlay to the pair, the right speaker quits playing music. When I disconnect AirPlay and play music through the Sonos app, the behavior persists. This appears to be semi-permanent, as the only way to fix it is to unpair the speakers and repair them. I use AirPlay on a regular basis, and it would be a shame to lose this functionality. Any help would be appreciated.(Side note: the left speaker is a Gen 2 Sonos One, and is the only speaker that plays. The right speaker is an original Gen 1 Sonos One)
I have recently moved house and setup my system the same as I had it before but now I have a delay and poor sound quality. I have a record player going into a preamp going into a play 5 through the line-in port. Now I have about a 1 second delay and after about 5 seconds of the record playing the sound quality drops and goes a strange bass distorted quality. When I play through the play 5 without the record player there is not a problem with the sound quality. The only other thing I done was update the play 5 when a setup the system in the new house.
I used my Sonos one speakers no problem last week. This week my speakers won’t show up to connect to the app. I have restarted my wireless on my ipad, I have checked that the updated privacy issues is fixed, and I have restarted my router. What else can I do. The last time I had this issue it was like 6 months until the rando problem between Spotify and Sonos was corrected. I’m not a happy camper.
