I have a Beam and 2 Play1s. The beam is using the HDMI-ARC input for sound. The ‘About My System’ shows the beam audio in as dolby digital 5.1. The 2 plays are listed as living room RS and LS.There is no sound from the surrounds. Streaming music or PCM2.0 plays fine through all three speakers.I just updated the app from S1 to S2 while trying to fix the problemThanksThe diagnostic number is: 1286756907
Is there someone who can look at my diagnostic log and let me know why my radio station would not play? The log number is 1124229380. My alarm is set with the “Office” play 3 as “main” device for the alarm. This SONOS device is connected via ethernet to the system. The rest of the system is connected via SONOS Net.This morning the alarm was set for 7 AM. At 7 AM I got the SONOS chimes and not my set radio station. I went to the S2 controller and tried to start the radio station and it would not start. I pulled the diagnostics at that time.I recently replaced my router, and while things were reset fine and things have been working, I am wondering if I have an underlying issue that is only now rearing its head.
Hi!My controller connects to the wifi repeater (live in a large house) and the ability to control the system disappears as the Sonos system is connected to the ”unrepeated” wifi.I have not experienced this problem before, but just recently.Does anyone know a solution to this?
I keep having issue with the app not connecting to the move or beam...internet signal is fine
Hi all, first post so go easy.Got a strange one with my Beam connected to 2021 LG CX tv via HDMI arc , Setup goes fine and all works ok until the TV gets powered off at the wall socket then I loose the sound completely from the tv, The tv is still set to output sound via the HDMI arc and the Beam will play/stream from other sources fine but refuses point blank to play tv sound. The only way to get it back is to do a full factory reset from the TV and all good again until you turn off the tv at the wall again, if i leave the tv in standby it’ll stay connected. Thought maybe something weird with the tv so tested the Beam with my 2017 Samsung 8000 series tv and yet again exactly the same problem, all ok until tv powered off at the wall! When this happens the Sonos app sees there is a problem and offers to fix it but can’t so any ideas greatly appreciated. For the record I have it set up via the optical output of the tv for now and that stays connected fine.
Hi guys. I have a Sonos one paired as stereo, and use them primarily as computer speakers connected via AirPlay. They function perfectly when used as smart speakers, but the airplay feature seems very shaky. When I come into the office in the morning it takes multiple attempts to get the Mac to find the speakers over AirPlay, usually resulting in the speakers not found pop up I have seen a lot on these pages. Its almost like after a period of inactivity they go into some kind of sleep mode that they cannot be forced awake from. After a few attempts, the speakers will pop up in the sound section of the menu bar and then they work fine...until they seemingly go to sleep again when the mac is inactive i.e lunchtime. Then the same process has to be repeated until I can get them working. All the while, the Sonos Controller can connect to Radio stations in the app absolutely fine, so the speakers are connected to the router with no issues. It seems to be the Airplay connectivity it struggles w
Seems to be an ongoing issue,I’ve contacted support, they initially told me there was nothing they could do,after I complained they rebooted all of my units which solved the problem for a day.,however constantly rebooting is not a valid solution
Encountering issues with certain podcasts that cut off suddenly and I cannot restart as I get "not coded correctly" error. Happened while using Stitcher... Got thru episode using Iheartradio, then, still using Iheartradio, following episode cut off. Can restart but not advance episode, same error, 2 different apps. Help?
Multicasting is on. Network is open for all traffic. Mac adress added and static IP set. Sub connects fine to wifi however the setup through iPhone fail during the last step. Unable to hardwire Sub. Please help.
Sonos has been disliking pocket casts lately. Episodes have been randomly stopping, and now it is refusing to play episodes because they are “not encoded correctly”. This happens to different random podcasts and random times. Sometimes it will play half the episode, then say the episode is not encoded correctly.Ideas?
I'm struggling to get to the bottom of the problem I'm currently experiencing with my Sonos. I'm constantly getting the message 'Unable to Connect to Sonos Product' and playback stops completely. I'll usually be able to restart playback again after a short time.I've got the system set up with a pair of Play 1, on an ethernet cable that is connected to the router via a TP Link adapter. I also have a Sonos One SL that is using the Sonos network created by the Play 1. No WiFi settings are saved anywhere.I get the error message on both my android mobile and windows app. I mostly use Amazon music, but if I get the error, it won't play anything from any source.Every now and then it will also stop playing a song part way through, and jump to the next on the playlist. There are no other devices being used in the house that should interfere: mobile and laptop are on the WiFi, and other devices that use the same ethernet adapter are off when Sonos is on.I'm not massively technically minded, so p
I've attempted a number of times to calibrate and it ends in error. Anyone have suggestions on how this could be accomplished?
Hello.I have a Beam with 2 Play1s as surround sound speakers with a Roku and LG tv. Speakers are all on wi-fi.Streaming music sources will play through all three speakers but I get no sound from the surround speakers when trying to play 5:1 audio. I used to get this problem occasionally but rebooting the router would take care of the problem. I was using Sonos 1 so then I updated to Sonos 2 to see if that would help but now no amount of re-booting will help.Sonos system info screen shows the beam is getting Dolby Digital 5.1 when I have the problem.Another new problem happened after going to S2. While streaming music through the app selecting anything on the roku would stop the app stream and then play the HDMI input. Not so any more.It seems that the Beam ignores the HDMI input until I stop the music through the app. Not good.
I have both old and new devices. went through the many factory resets over the weekend and created all old devices again as new on S1, while S2 running only me new devices. worked fine when I sat it up and using my Sonos account on both S1 and S2. but only after a few days now the S1 app doesn’t give access to the old devices. It pops up with the message to “Use Sonos S2 app” and no function to say”No I stay on S1 with my old non-S2 compatible devices” ! what is going wrong here ? Diagnostics submitted just now. 319537631 for S1 / 1535573725 for S2 pls advise. Peter HKG
Hi,Since one year, I cannot calibrate my 2 speakers Sonos One with my iPhone. The Sonos app tells me that there is extraneous noise even though there is none in my house. I deactivated the bluetooth, unplugged the refrigerator ... Nothing works! Can anybody help me ? Thank you !
Hello,I am located in Austin, Texas, which had severe winter weather two weeks ago. During the winter weather, power was out at our office and somehow our wifi router reset. After AT&T came out to set up the internet once again, even though it has the same network name, you had to reconnect. At the time, the Sonos system (two One SL + Beam) were not showing in the app. To troubleshoot I have:Restarted the router Uninstalled and reinstalled the Sonos App Unplugged and plugged back in the One SL Tried factory resetStill, the speaker will not show up in the app (the “System”) section is grayed out. When I go to “select your product” to repair, it does not detect the speaker. Please help!Sarah
There are quite a lot of threads out there asking if it’s possible to export Sonos playlists. I would have liked to answer directly in the corresponding topics, but most of them are already archived. The answer is:YES, IT IS NOW!The story goes like this:I was looking for a tool to backup my Sonos playlists (just in case, it would drive me mad if I lost them), but couldn't find any. Therefore I decided to write one myself ;-)The result is called SonoSaver and can be found here in case you're interested: https://sonosaver.mrupp.ch/I released it as shareware, but you can choose yourself of what you think it’s worth. And there’s a free version to test things out, first. But after that, I went on creating v2.0 and added the possibility to export the playlists to the following file formats: CSV, M3U, M3U extended, PLS and WPL.This comes with lots of export options, like replacing the location of local files to a valid UNC path or adjusting links to Spotify to an URL like open.spotify.com.Hope
Hi Support. My Play5 music stops randomly when playing Spotify, after few minutes of play. Seems to be a recent problem. It is basically unusable. This happens with the Android App (both Sonos App or Spotify app playing on Sonos). This is the only Sonos in my network, connected via Wifi. Diagnostic #1854636778.Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
Diagnostic: 1638506913I’ve had intermittent problems with connectivity, but much worse with Sonos HD. Each speaker keeps cutting in and out when I try to play it in the main room with 4xplay5 and 4xplay1 grouped together. Tried a wireless config using a Linksys mesh (VELOP) and also a Boost. Neither make a difference.I love Sonos, but I think I’ve just got too many speakers and the whole system (even the app) has slowed right down.4xplay56xsonos12xplay11xsub1xplaybar1xbeam2xsymfonisk Any help appreciated...
Hi,My new Sonos move have an alarm set at 6:45 mon-fri at home. This week I have the speaker with me for vacation and uses the bluetooth feature on the speaker. Every morning I wake up at 6:45 because the Move decides that it should keep the alarm. I cant turn it off because the Move is not set up for the Sonos network. Only solution I found is to reset the speaker (you need a charger and cant do this with only battery?) and then setup the speaker again with a new network. Shouldnt the alarm be disabled for travel? Regards,Carl
Hi I changed WiFi router and since then have not been able to use my Sonos one. I ended up resetting to factory settings and it found it, chimed that it was connected. However, it says it needs an update but every time comes back with error 30 or error 1013. I have deleted apps restarted everything and managed to connect my sonos play but the one just shows the error. Any suggestions thanks Laura
I’m in a perpetual error code 30 with one of two ‘one’ speakers.they have been in storage and on setting them up one updated fine and the other is stuck on updating and then fails right at the end with error code 30 so far I have unplugged the other functioning speaker and tried to set up hard wired to the router and it says up to date and then tries to update again and fails showing version 11.1 just can’t seem to get round this! Any ideas?

This started happening about a year ago. I have a Sonos One wired to my router, and a Playbar and two more Sonos Ones (in separate rooms) connected on the SonosNet network. Everything works fine, until the router reboots due to a power outage or other reason. When the SonosNet network comes back up only the wired Sonos One and the Playbar are recognized. I have to unplug and plug back in the other two Sonos Ones for them to be recognized again.Any ideas on what might be causing this? I’ve tried changing the wireless channel, resetting the speakers and swapping out the wired Sonos One. No luck with any of it. Thanks in advance.
Hi there, In the past few month, Comcast warned me of that i was reaching my maximum internet quota (1.3T). As we are 5 users all day on Webex/Zoom… I thought it was ok, until my friends who are in similar family setup told me that they used less than half of this traffic. As i logged on my WIFI i found out that Sonos was the generating humongous traffic compared to other devices (x300 vs the 2nd active user). While we use our Sonos system quite a lot, it seems very weird that it jams my Internet connection like this. Any clue ? ThanksStan
