I'm struggling to get to the bottom of the problem I'm currently experiencing with my Sonos. I'm constantly getting the message 'Unable to Connect to Sonos Product' and playback stops completely. I'll usually be able to restart playback again after a short time.I've got the system set up with a pair of Play 1, on an ethernet cable that is connected to the router via a TP Link adapter. I also have a Sonos One SL that is using the Sonos network created by the Play 1. No WiFi settings are saved anywhere.I get the error message on both my android mobile and windows app. I mostly use Amazon music, but if I get the error, it won't play anything from any source.Every now and then it will also stop playing a song part way through, and jump to the next on the playlist. There are no other devices being used in the house that should interfere: mobile and laptop are on the WiFi, and other devices that use the same ethernet adapter are off when Sonos is on.I'm not massively technically minded, so p
I've attempted a number of times to calibrate and it ends in error. Anyone have suggestions on how this could be accomplished?
Hello.I have a Beam with 2 Play1s as surround sound speakers with a Roku and LG tv. Speakers are all on wi-fi.Streaming music sources will play through all three speakers but I get no sound from the surround speakers when trying to play 5:1 audio. I used to get this problem occasionally but rebooting the router would take care of the problem. I was using Sonos 1 so then I updated to Sonos 2 to see if that would help but now no amount of re-booting will help.Sonos system info screen shows the beam is getting Dolby Digital 5.1 when I have the problem.Another new problem happened after going to S2. While streaming music through the app selecting anything on the roku would stop the app stream and then play the HDMI input. Not so any more.It seems that the Beam ignores the HDMI input until I stop the music through the app. Not good.
I have both old and new devices. went through the many factory resets over the weekend and created all old devices again as new on S1, while S2 running only me new devices. worked fine when I sat it up and using my Sonos account on both S1 and S2. but only after a few days now the S1 app doesn’t give access to the old devices. It pops up with the message to “Use Sonos S2 app” and no function to say”No I stay on S1 with my old non-S2 compatible devices” ! what is going wrong here ? Diagnostics submitted just now. 319537631 for S1 / 1535573725 for S2 pls advise. Peter HKG
Hi,Since one year, I cannot calibrate my 2 speakers Sonos One with my iPhone. The Sonos app tells me that there is extraneous noise even though there is none in my house. I deactivated the bluetooth, unplugged the refrigerator ... Nothing works! Can anybody help me ? Thank you !
Hello,I am located in Austin, Texas, which had severe winter weather two weeks ago. During the winter weather, power was out at our office and somehow our wifi router reset. After AT&T came out to set up the internet once again, even though it has the same network name, you had to reconnect. At the time, the Sonos system (two One SL + Beam) were not showing in the app. To troubleshoot I have:Restarted the router Uninstalled and reinstalled the Sonos App Unplugged and plugged back in the One SL Tried factory resetStill, the speaker will not show up in the app (the “System”) section is grayed out. When I go to “select your product” to repair, it does not detect the speaker. Please help!Sarah
There are quite a lot of threads out there asking if it’s possible to export Sonos playlists. I would have liked to answer directly in the corresponding topics, but most of them are already archived. The answer is:YES, IT IS NOW!The story goes like this:I was looking for a tool to backup my Sonos playlists (just in case, it would drive me mad if I lost them), but couldn't find any. Therefore I decided to write one myself ;-)The result is called SonoSaver and can be found here in case you're interested: https://sonosaver.mrupp.ch/I released it as shareware, but you can choose yourself of what you think it’s worth. And there’s a free version to test things out, first. But after that, I went on creating v2.0 and added the possibility to export the playlists to the following file formats: CSV, M3U, M3U extended, PLS and WPL.This comes with lots of export options, like replacing the location of local files to a valid UNC path or adjusting links to Spotify to an URL like open.spotify.com.Hope
Hi Support. My Play5 music stops randomly when playing Spotify, after few minutes of play. Seems to be a recent problem. It is basically unusable. This happens with the Android App (both Sonos App or Spotify app playing on Sonos). This is the only Sonos in my network, connected via Wifi. Diagnostic #1854636778.Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
Diagnostic: 1638506913I’ve had intermittent problems with connectivity, but much worse with Sonos HD. Each speaker keeps cutting in and out when I try to play it in the main room with 4xplay5 and 4xplay1 grouped together. Tried a wireless config using a Linksys mesh (VELOP) and also a Boost. Neither make a difference.I love Sonos, but I think I’ve just got too many speakers and the whole system (even the app) has slowed right down.4xplay56xsonos12xplay11xsub1xplaybar1xbeam2xsymfonisk Any help appreciated...
Hi,My new Sonos move have an alarm set at 6:45 mon-fri at home. This week I have the speaker with me for vacation and uses the bluetooth feature on the speaker. Every morning I wake up at 6:45 because the Move decides that it should keep the alarm. I cant turn it off because the Move is not set up for the Sonos network. Only solution I found is to reset the speaker (you need a charger and cant do this with only battery?) and then setup the speaker again with a new network. Shouldnt the alarm be disabled for travel? Regards,Carl
Hi I changed WiFi router and since then have not been able to use my Sonos one. I ended up resetting to factory settings and it found it, chimed that it was connected. However, it says it needs an update but every time comes back with error 30 or error 1013. I have deleted apps restarted everything and managed to connect my sonos play but the one just shows the error. Any suggestions thanks Laura
I’m in a perpetual error code 30 with one of two ‘one’ speakers.they have been in storage and on setting them up one updated fine and the other is stuck on updating and then fails right at the end with error code 30 so far I have unplugged the other functioning speaker and tried to set up hard wired to the router and it says up to date and then tries to update again and fails showing version 11.1 just can’t seem to get round this! Any ideas?
I have been a Sonos user for many years.Today BBC Radio 4 is “Nor supported” I have tried selecting from:-Sonos Radio - which I have used of late, and former channelsRadioplayer; andTuneInI have tired selecting from 2 different Android devices, where I have checked that the app is updated and from my Windows 10 PC - without success.URGENT hel please. This started happening about a year ago. I have a Sonos One wired to my router, and a Playbar and two more Sonos Ones (in separate rooms) connected on the SonosNet network. Everything works fine, until the router reboots due to a power outage or other reason. When the SonosNet network comes back up only the wired Sonos One and the Playbar are recognized. I have to unplug and plug back in the other two Sonos Ones for them to be recognized again.Any ideas on what might be causing this? I’ve tried changing the wireless channel, resetting the speakers and swapping out the wired Sonos One. No luck with any of it. Thanks in advance.
Hi there, In the past few month, Comcast warned me of that i was reaching my maximum internet quota (1.3T). As we are 5 users all day on Webex/Zoom… I thought it was ok, until my friends who are in similar family setup told me that they used less than half of this traffic. As i logged on my WIFI i found out that Sonos was the generating humongous traffic compared to other devices (x300 vs the 2nd active user). While we use our Sonos system quite a lot, it seems very weird that it jams my Internet connection like this. Any clue ? ThanksStan
One of our amps has just started blaring out rap music (that none of us would listen to) incredibly loudly in the middle of the night at a volume we would never use. Any help?
New setup: I have a Playbar, Sub (Gen2), two Ones and two connect:amps. They have all been factory reset. All of these are compatible with the S1 app per the Sonos webpage. I have the Playbar directly connected to the router, nothing else is connected. My phone is on wifi running the S1 app. I run the setup process and the S1 app sees the Playbar after I press the two buttons and hear the chime. Once the progress bar stops though I’m being told that the Playbar is not compatible with the S1 app and I need to use the S2 app. (error message below)Did something change on the S1 app to prevent these previously accepted devices from being added? I’m confused as to why I’m getting this message.
I am trying to install a new playbar. The system finds the playbar and then asks me to push the play/pause button and volume up. I do so and hear the chime. But nothing happens afterward. The app stays waiting for me to push both buttons and doesn’t move forward. Does anybody know how to solve this issue? thanks.
Hi, two days ago my Connect:Amp (on S2) lost connectivity with the Sonos App and started to blink white, after unplugging and plugging it a few times it did the same white flashing OR orange flashing, tried a factory reset, and now it does the same white flashing, also tried connecting it via ethernet but it just doesn't work and it doesn't stablish a connection with the switch or wifi, pressing the MUTE | VOL+ does nothing and idk what else to do. Thanks
I keep getting dropouts in party mode. Rarely any errors reported in the app that I can see.The signals all seem strong enough but I have noticed that the Kitchen unit (the newest device!) does suffer some packet loss.Any ideas. I’ve tried using the home wifi which just gave buffering problems all the time so have stuck with sonosnet.Any ideas of other places to look for clues as to the problem? The system is on channel 11 and a wifi scan shows that nothing else is on this channel. Thanks for any ideas…….
Hi, Have a set of Fives set up as stereo pair supported by a sub. Stream content from Sonos app works flawless. But when using Airplay, it only stream to one of the two speakers. And to get them working again, I need to re-configure the stereo configuration. (After an Airplay stream, it destroys the stereo setup even streaming from the Sonos app, even configuration is show present. After re-setup it works again.) I have tried to stream directly from Spotify app and using generic Airplay stream from other source with same results. Narrow issue down to Airplay+Stereo Pair in Sonos. Have all the latest soft- and firmware with only iOS devices used in house hold. Tried from different iOS devices with same results. Suspect IP for stereo pair is ignored by Airplay and stream is sent directly to ‘first speaker’ in pair setup. That would suggest Airplay destination is wrongly flagged by Sonos app. No idea on how to fix that and that would be a bug in Sonos app, if my suspicions are correct. S
Why my sonos one gen 2 connect to wifi for 2 minutes and then lost for 10 days?
Hi, I have run into some issues with my Sonos and Spotify. Sonos can’t add songs to the queue, sometimes Sonos can’t connect to Spotify, I have seen errors 701 and 1001. I have searched through the support pages and have tried to solve it myself first. What have I missed?I have two Sonos play 1’s and a sub in one group, and another Play 1 in a different group (room). Here’s what I already tried:Reset/reboot routerRestart Sonos hardwareAssign static Ip'sReinstall Sonos appAlso all of the above in different order I should mention that it has worked without problems for years. I have the problems a few weeks now. I have sent a diagnostics report to Sonos (1635708822). I don't know if any of you have access to that? It's a report just a few minutes after restarting router and sonos, and the problems where there… I am hoping for some insight from you :-) Thanks!
Hi folks, I have a 3 and a 5 at my home. I control both using the app on my Mac and on my iphone. After a power cut, the 5 dissapears from my iphone and cannot be reconnected (or re-installed) by the iphone. I have to go to the MAc, play something on the 5 and it re-appears on my phone. This is a real pain, as are Sonos updates that always seem to leave something not quite working.CAn anyone make any suggestions other than re-installing all the time ? I have reinstalled Sonos more times than I have had a coffee (which I need every time)
Sometimes, I like to use Logitech Media Server (LMS) in addition to the Sonos app to control my Sonos devices. I have Sonos Move and a Sonos Play 5 (2nd edition). I installed a plugin in LMS called “UPNP/DLNA bridge”, so I can use desktop LMS and an app on my iPhone called Ipeng to control non-Squeezebox devices, including my 2 Sonos devices. After installing the bridge plugin, I was able to initially see both my Sonos Move and my Sonos Play 5.However, after about an hour, the Sonos Move disappeared from the list of available devices in LMS. What’s strange is that I can still view Sonos Play 5 and my Samsung TV (in addition to my Squeezebox Boom and Squeezebox Radio) in LMS.When I open the list of plugins, under the list of "Players currently in the configuration file", the Sonos Move still is listed. I've tried hitting the "restart" button next to "Start the Bridge" but didn't work. I also tried rebooting the Sonos Move too. I can view both Sonos devices in my Sonos app, but again, I c
