Hello everyone - help please; I have tried everything I know but reached a dead end! I have a Sonos Connect Amp that is connected wirelessly to our BT router in the next room. The router isn't new, been moved or any passwords changed; likewise for the amp. To play music I use an iPad fixed in one location [this iPad connects fine to the amp and can play music using the S1 app]. However, my iPhone X [running latest software] using S1 app has just suddenly, for no apparent reason, started saying “unable to connect to Sonos. Learn More”. I have tried my work iPhone as well in case it was just my personal mobile acting out but that won't connect either and I get the same message.I have tried:Resyncing the phone by pressing the mute and + button on the amp. Going to the app and connect to existing system. I then get a popup on the app saying “connected to Sonos system. This Sonos app is now connected to your Sonos system”. However, when I click done it takes me straight to the screen asking
When I open the Sonos app on my computer, it is black with no music listed and says there is nothing on the queue. It is connected to wifi and the app, but still won’t work. When I search music it comes up blank. I tried restarting the computer, and reinstalling the app, but nothing is working. Please help!
Ok, here is a weird one, I’ll lay it out as simply as I can, moved into a new house:Router is at the front of the house. 2 x Play 1 in a Stereo pair (Bedroom, upstairs) 1 x Playbar (Lounge, downstairs) 1 x Play 1 (Summer house, at the far end of the garden at the back of the house). All speakers connected via wifi, nothing wired in.The bedroom pair and the lounge playbar are within the strong wifi signal zone. The summer house speaker is riiiiiiight at the furthest point of the wifi, right where the signal is about to drop off and sits at ‘poor’. Sometimes it does drop off completely, thats how far away it is from the router. Now, the system used to work fine but in the last couple of weeks (since I updated the app), performance has been tricky. Essentially the app can’t find the system at all - but only if I open the app in the house where the wifi is strongest. If I open the app in the summer house, ie right on the cusp of having no wifi, I have zero issues. The app finds the whole sy
Why can’t I connect to my Sonos Bridge? When I first purchased it worked great. it was connected to a laptop that died. when i got a new laptop it seemed it was looking for the old. i also used iphone and Ipad, which worked great with old laptop. it now kept saying trying to connect to network devise. now i have brand new apple and new router, but can not connect. software says product not found. Move closer. What do I do...?
First time here.I have tried to sort through all of the posts and comments on this. Still cannot seem to figure out how to get my playlists, which I exported individually from ITunes in individual XML, and placed them into my NAS MyCloud file which has all of the the music. Music moved seamlessly into and is accessible on the NAS. For some reason though the XML files will not import. Does anyone have any step by step for idiots guide?
I have a hardwired Connect, and various WiFi speakers (Sonos 1, Play 3 and Playbar). System has been working fine up until recently, but I now have an issue connecting to my Sonos system from the S1 controller and Spotify from my iMac (High Sierra 10.13.6). The S1 controller connects the first time after a start-up or restart, but if I quit, or the computer goes to sleep the app can’t connect back to the system, Spotify lists all my devices but these are always greyed out and cannot be used.I can’t honestly said when this started as I’ve only just noticed it in the past week. I use both the Sonos S1 App and Spotify App on my iPhone and iPad most of the time, and I have no problems connecting using these smart devices.I’ve gone through all the troubleshooting variables; turned off the modem, unplugged my broadband connection and all devices several times, checked ethernet cables etc. Smart device Apps continue to work perfectly, so there can’t be an issue with my WiFi, my desktop doesn’
Hi all Received my Sonos Roam yesterday and have been using AirPlay successfully from my 2008 iPad Pro, no issues. I have however tried tonight to stream audio from my M1 Mac Mini running Big Sur 11.3 and although the speaker shows up and also shows what is playing, no audio comes out of the Roam. The screenshot below shows the audio output as the Roam and the title of the video in the Sonos app, see below. I’ve seen a post about this saying check system requirements but I hit all those with the latest Mac Mini. Anyone else out there that can test or provide an answer?
Hi, over the past 2 weeks I have noted that my Beam no longer is listed in my system on app (move showing) however is shown on my wife’s app within the same system. we both have iPhones (me 12, wife 8). I have reset the move and router umpteen times but no chnage. (Sometimes when I reset the router the beam is shown, however disappears again next time I use the app)very frustrating so any help would be greatly appreciated
Hey, My Move wont turn on or charge it just stopped playing
Having run solidly for years, my Connect has started showing a flashing white light out of nowhere. So far as I am aware there has been no update applied to it - in fact the unit hasn’t been touched in months. The unit is connected via a wired connection, although when troubleshooting I have also tried connecting it via wireless. The Connect disappears from the controller altogether, or drops when playing back after a few minutes, at which point the light starts flashing white again (or sometimes more of a fast flicker)What’s the setup? In the (physical) room in question I have a Connect which is connected to my turntable, and two Play:1s in a stereo pair. The Connect is hardwired to the network, and the Play:1s using wireless. My turntable is connected to the line in on the Connect. What have I tried?Replaced the ethernet cable in use on the Connect Swapped the ethernet port on the Connect Switched the connect to use WiFi Factory reset the Connect Switched one of the Play:1s to be wired
Ok. This may have been covered before so apologies. I have a number of original Sonos products (1/3/5/Playbar & Sub). I have recently changed my internet provider which gave me a new router with better speeds. Since this has arrived I have had no end of issues with connectivity to the IOS App on my Iphone 12. Today I have rebooted the whole system and set up the whole thing as a new set up. Deleted all the apps on all the devices, basically started again. It seemed to be ok. My ipad has never had any issues nor has my MAc Desktop and MacAir, it just seems to be the iphone.Any ideas? Sinc sitting here typing this, I have just set up the remote control with the playbar and all of a sudden it has a mind of its own - muting and then coming back on. I have invested loads of money in this system and really want it to get back to how it was. Thanks
I am thoroughly disgusted with the Sonos support world. I have had Sonos speakers for several years, and bough a Move about a year ago. Recently, I put my order in for the Roam; going to send it back when it gets here unless this is resolved within the next 5 business days. Out of the blue, and as several people have stated, my speakers say, “Playing xxx from Amazon”, after I ask Alexa to do so, and nothing plays. This is for ALL online services...MLB, Amazon, TuneIn, etc. I have done ALL troubleshooting tasks including taking it to my business network. None of it has worked. Tired of hearing the same blah, blah, blah, from Sonos. What is the fix???? I’ve invested over $3000 over the years, and used to recommend these to all my friends...Never again!!!
I built a few playlists on my S1 app that were a mix of tracks from Amazon and Apple. After migrating to S2 I get the “song is not encoded correctly” message for the Amazon tracks. Note that this only seems to pertain to the playlist because when I go back to the songs directly in the app via Amazon music they have no problem. Any suggestions (other than rebuilding the playlists) would be appreciated!
I’ve seen a bunch of similar posts re this issue but thought I'd give it a shot just in case a solution was now known:Playbar was packed up (safely and fully protected) for a few months between moving house. Having installed in new home, there is now a constant high pitched tone when tv is off/muted and player should be idle (there normally is a delay before the high pitched noise creeps in). Have tried factory-resetting and power cycling without any success. Can anyone advise on solution or should I go straight to reporting (the auto-chat bot doesn't present suitable options for this problem,. annoyingly)? Thanks guys!
HiMy microphone cannot be switched on when using bluetooth (but works in Wifi mode) on Sonos Move.Anyone can help ?
Hello all, I’m hoping someone here can help me out because I’m going insane in frustration. I’ll try to put in as much detail as possible but also try to keep it concise but I do tend to waffle, so fair warning.Alright so….. I own just the one Sonos device (play 3) and up till recently I haven’t had any problems with it. I had it setup so it was running wirelessly using the S1 controller (on a OnePlus 5t phone) and everything was fine. However, every time I went to use the S1 app I was bombarded with annoying pestering to download the new S2 app. I had put off downloading the S2 app as I read some very negative reviews and I had everything I needed in the S1 app. Eventually the constant annoyance of the S2 update prompts was too much and I caved and downloaded the app.Immediately after downloading and going through the setup of S2 app I couldn’t connect to my speakers and the frustration began. After going through all the troubleshooting options I decided it would probably just be easi
Hi All,Been a Sonos user for ages. Recently I’m getting a heck of a lot of drop outs, various components drop out and come back on line in 10-30s, or all drop out. Streaming services drop out, songs skip, overnight looping of white noice tracks randomly stops.Thinking it was some sort of wireless issue I recently moved to a wired setup with one of my play 1’s directly wired to my primary Google Wifi puck. I’m still getting these issues unfortunately.Anyone have any ideas or pointers or could I submit a technical report to someone at Sonos to take a look for any issues for me?Btw I mainly use Amazon and Calm for streaming services.TIA
On just a couple of my hundreds of albums, the track time that displays is longer than the actual length of the music. When it gets to the end of the actual music it starts playingagain part way through the track. Why?
I have mistakenly updated my Sonos 1 to Sonos 2 however none of my Sonos products are compatible. How do I undo the update and reset all my products?
Hi My Iphone 11 (software version 14.4.2) sonos S2 app continually shows ‘unable to connect to sonos lets fix it’, when I click to fix it and follow the instructions (power off speakers and then the wifi hub), eventually it connects, until the next time and then the same message. The system is less than a year old and includes a bean, 2 x one, one sl and sub.I’ve put the app on my laptop and it seems ok but keeps asking me to reauthorise apple music, which I do but still doesn’t show it.I have 180Mbs fibre internet on a BT smart Hub 2 wifiAny guidance appreciated, thanks
Hi, I’ve seen various posts on this but I’m still struggling to keep all sonos’s connected, they regularly stop playing and drop off the app.Google router is ethernet connected to a virgin hub that’s been put into modem mode. Also ethernet connected via a switch is a play:1.I then have 3 more play:1s and a Play:5 that continually play up. I’ve tried switching the channels and have tried removing the wireless network from the app, nothing seems to fix it. They barely work for 5 minutes before one of them dropping off. Any thoughts? John B - you seem yo be bit of a pro - interested if you can help.
My ethernet-connected Play 5 keeps disconnecting. I unplug and restart the device and it works again for a few hours but then can’t be found again. The rest of the network (wifi) works just fine.
Hello, I have reconfigured my home network and I have to reconfigure all devices. My Sonos (I have a couple of Play:1 configured in stereo mode) are unable to complete the config procedure. I go to SYSTEM - NETWORK - NETWORK MGMT and I launch the procedure. As the sonos are plugged (they are working only in wired network) I have to unplug to proceed, the app say to connect to the local Sonoswifi THAT IS NOT TURNED ON and the procedure fails.Any suggestion ?Thanks in advance
Alarm comes on. Notification appears. I hit the Snooze icon. A notification confirms the snooze and when the music will come on again. But the music doesn’t come on again. Anywhere from 3 to eight minutes in, the system just forgets it’s doing a snooze. Doing testing, the snooze works properly maybe once out of 10 tries. Spent two hours with customer support - chat and phone. They had me change the SonosNet channel (“Could be interference”). Had me unplug everything, including the router, to reset. The alarm has worked fine for 14 years, then just stopped working a week ago.I’m on S1. I have a hybrid system with an ancient Connect:Amp and Connect, plus a new Amp purchased last year (when they scared us into upgrading) and two Play:1s. I also have a CR200, but the problem happens whether I’m using the CR200 or an Android phone. And it happens regardless of which “Room” I set for the alarm.Any suggestions appreciated. My next move is to try to isolate the problem by removing
Just wondering if/when android 7 devices no longer funtion as controllers, will the S1 app (and spotify app) for Windows 10 still work as controllers for my 6 Sonos speakers?
