Hi, I’m building a game room and it will have (2) TV’s within the space (about 750 sq. ft.).  I was wanting to know if I could install (4) in-ceiling Sonos speakers and tie those back to the Sonos Amp (in a closet) and then have my TV’s connect to the Sonos Amp via WIFI or Bluetooth and listen to TV (or music) through the in-ceiling speakers?  In addition, I’ll have a RV garage adjacent to the game room with another TV and would consider installing 4-5 in-ceiling speakers in there for music and the TV.  I would assume I’d need a separate amp for this area since I may want to listen to music in the garage and have a football game on in the game room.  I hope this all makes sense and appreciate the feedback.  Thx

Hi all, My setup consists of two Symfonisk speakers, stereo paired, and a Sonos Port. The Port has a line in from a Behringer sound card. The card is fed by a Raspberry PI and also has an analog line-in signal from the TV.I have set the Port to Autoplay line-in. When I start a film on Netflix (Chromecast connected to TV), the port is activated and sound comes up within two seconds through the Symfonisk speakers, which is good enough.However, if there’s a silent passage in the film, sound gets deactivated and it may take 5 seconds to activate again when signal is detected. Looks like Autoplay gets interrupted after a couple of seconds with no sound. Is there a way to prevent this from happening, other than manually switching input via the Sonos app?

I have a Sonos Port hooked up to my Denon S710W AVR via both analog and digital (co-ax) connections.  I used the included cables that came with the Port to hook up the analog feed and a new shielded coax cable from Amazon Basics  to hook up the digital feed.  I’ve tested both variable and fixed line out settings and issues sound occurs in both setups.Heres the problem. The sound out of the digital connection is much harsher and more nasal sounding than the analog connection.  This is true whether the output is set to variable or fixed and true even when the receiver “Pure” mode (direct two channel mode, minimal processing).  The analog feed sounds softer and more appealing with a bit wider stereo soundfield.  When I switch on Dolby Digital surround (which is the way I like to listen when Im moving around doing things) things really get uglty on the digital side.  It sounds echo-ey and harsh in a way that the analog feed run through the same DD processing does not.  I made sure that any

I have a Sonos Amp with KEF LS50 Metas with the KC62 subwoofer for stereo listening. Previously I had Dali Opticon 1 MKII on the Sonos Amp and found them muddy. I’m impressed with the LS50 Metas + KC62. This combo beats my Sonos Five Stereo Pair for music.  I’m curious how others have tuned the KC62 to match the LS50 Metas. I found the KC62 is slow to turn on at low volumes with the Amp sub at 0. I originally started with the KC62 volume at 3 o’clock and the Amp at 0. It was far too much sub gain. I dialed back the KC62 to 12 o’clock but had the aforementioned slow turn on issue. I upped the Amp gain through the S2 app to +8 and dialed back the KC62 to 9 o’clock.  This seemed to work well at volume 15, but at 20 the low end response was too strong. I’ve kept the KC62 EQ at Room. Phase 0.  Anyone else with this setup tune in the KC62? It would be great to hear settings and placement tips. 

I have a pair of monitors ( Prana Fidelity 50/90) that I would love to have in my office but need to land them on each side of a slider. Cant touch the walls/floors, and running a cable will be ugly as all get out. Instead of trying to send wireless to 2 monoblocks, the dual AMP solution would be awesome. Has anyone done this? I have seen a few topics from 3-5 yrs ago but nothing updated. There is a large community of us out there that have to agree to our partners design aesthetic and could benefit from a solution that could be a relatively simple code change/ feature request if not already possible. 

I know that others have had success with this, but I’m not sure if my receiver is compatible with the Sonos system and thought I would see if anyone had any other ideas. I am trying to connect my Port to my vi rage Sansui 5000 receiver to play vinyl records.  It seems like I am supposed to connect the “output” on the receiver to the “input” on the Port. However, my receiver doesn’t have a clear “output” setting (and also the plugs aren’t color coded!) I have tried connecting the cords to both the “Rec” and “mon” plugs and that doesn’t work. I have also tried connecting the turntable directly to the Port and that doesn’t work either. Would appreciate any ideas!

Hello,I realize this question has been asked a bunch before, but to be sure of my situation I’m hoping to get some help with what I want to achieve.  Not the most technically savvy person, so hoping to get some guidance.We have a multi-Sonos speaker home and in the living room, have my old B&W speakers connected to the Connect: Amp. We also have a Marantz 2230 that we use specifically to listen to vinyl on our Technics SL-1710 turntable.  I want to bridge everything so that we can play records and hear them on the B&W’s, as well as the rest of the Sonos speakers throughout the house - as well as just listen to the turntable in the sweet spot in the living room via the B&W’s.Is this do-able?  If so, is some kind person here able to detail the connectivity process in order to make this happen?  I understand this will require a preamp. Beyond that, just curious to know about connections and such. Appreciate anything you can tell me.Thanks!Steven 

I listen to music by streaming over my home Wifi network to a Sonos One speaker. The only available connection on the back of th Sonos One seems to be ethernet.  My questions are:Would a decent external DAC improve the sound quality of streamed music to my Sonos One? If so, how would I connect the DAC to the Sonos One?Thanks

Hi All,I am trying to get a turntable system setup and am currently picking out components. I am wondering if anyone has any experience with the setup stated in the title? I read an old thread on this forum about the same setup except the Sonos Amp was swapped out for the Sonos Play 5 and that worked, would my setup be any different? Additionally, would I need the Amp or could I get by with the Port? The speakers I would be using are a handful of Sonos Ones, one Beam, and one Arc. Thank you so much!

I have a Sonos amp and I want to wire 4 speakers to it. 1 pair of svc speakers in bedroom, 1 dvc speaker in bathroom, 1 dvc speaker in closet. Can the amp handle that? All speakers are 8 ohms.

I have mentioned this in someone else’s post but thought this should be a new post/subject.Since updating the software to 13.4.1 both Connects and Connect Amps are flashing red instead of green after a factory reset.They all do reconnect to the system though.Also when muting the light turns red but I have seen that Sonos are aware of this.Diagnostics number: 554887171 

Hi - I am setting up an new Sonos AMP to 4 speakers. First 2 speakers: excellent sound.Third speaker: still excellent sound.Fourth speaker: I experienced a severe loss of quality of one of the channels and thus speakers. Monaco SPE-82/HQ 100 watt 8 Ohm speakers.2 speakers on 1 channel thus 4 on 2 channels. Any explanation? Ideally anybody a fix?

Hello, I have lost the connection to my sonos connect via the controller software.When i launch a network scan, I can see it has an IP-address. I have resetted the controller and I tried to re-add it, It is detected, but it won’t proceed to the end of the process.It ‘s probably a software issue, is there any possibility or hidden option to hard reset it?thx!

What's up folks?I have an existing Sonos system throughout my home. A couple Play:5s and few Sonos Ones throughout. About a year ago I decided to build a vintage HiFi system. I want to integrate the two systems, so I'm considering picking up a Port. Anyway, long story short, all the line level inputs on my preamp are currently being used. I want to upgrade my cd player and I'm considering a dedicated transport only player (no on board DAC). My question is, since I only have one AUX input, can I connect the Port to my AUX input on my preamp then connect a transport only CD player to the Port. Effectively killing two birds with one stone. Adding streaming to my HiFi system while simultaneously using the port as a DAC for the CD transport? Will this work?Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time,Kyle

If I plug my Sonos amp directly into my router does it act as a boost creating SonosNet?The boost has been a lifesaver to create SonosNet but if I don’t need it because the amp can do that job I’ll ditch it.

Hello everyone,I’m new to the Sonos ecosystem. I’m potentially going to work with clients with Sonos systems. My job is to “listen” to what they play in order to make reports of what’s been listened. For this I need an output from the speakers to connect to our hardware, which has a minijack input.If I’m not mistaken there’s no outputs available in any of the Sonos speakers, and it seems like the only way would be to purchase a Port and manage all connectivity from there, is that right? Is there any other option to catch the stream? Maybe via IP, bluetooth? I don’t need the best quality for this, and the Port seems like an overkill, pretty expensive solution.Thanks a lot!

I'm looking at getting a Port-compatible cd player to integrate our vast cd collection with our Sonos system. Setting it up looks easy and straightforward, except for one thing: how do I control cd volume other than through the Sonos app? Ideally, the remote controlling cd playback would also control the volume. It's going to be playing almost exclusively over the Beam 2. which already supports my tv remote volume control. So is there a way to get the Beam to receive signals from a 2nd remote?

If I buy a Sonos Sub from Europe (Germany), can I swap the provided Power Cable (2 pin), for a Power Cable bought in the UK (3 pin plug )? Is it just a straightforward swap?Thanks in advance.

I have seen a couple of questions regarding the LED on the Sonos Amp - but I am confused …The Amp appears to be permanently on, which, in this day and age of power crises, seems a little environmentally irresponsible.  The unit remains quite warm to the touch, indicating power consumption even if the unit is not amplifying or playing anything.  If the central sensor is touched, the LED flashes and the unit then becomes cooler.  So what is the sensor doing in this case?What exactly is the point of the LED?  It doesn’t seem to indicate anything … line in status, power status  , anything …  The only use is perhaps to indicate where the touch sensor is in a pitch black room?It would be useful if there was a different colour for an active line-in signal or perhaps if the power amps were in standby mode ...I presume the only way to power it down is to pull the power lead or switch off at the wall?

Hello to All,I am new to this Forum and would appreciate an expert input!  ;-)My Sonos sub bass is sounding In & out of Sync; as if the “bass” is delayed; few songs sound good but then the sub goes out of sync. So it is an intermittent issue. PS: this sub is wired to the home network as it is far away from the Sonos Amp. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I know there are a lot of other threads on this topic, but I seem to be right 'on the line' where it comes to determining the generation of amp I am looking at.I know gen1 amps have the mute button up until 2013.2013 to 2015 gen1 had the play/pause button.Sometime 2015 Gen2 came out.My question is, what is the cut in date for gen2? I am interested in buying a used Amp with a 1508 (August 2015) serial number. Is this far enough in 2015 to be a Gen 2?? Or could it still be a late production Gen 1?
