I have a line-in connected from my record player (Audio-Technica AT-LP60) to my Sonos 5. The Sonos 5 is set to autoplay and is in a speaker group. Everything performs perfectly when I use the record player - when I turn the record player on, the source automatically changes over and plays to the speaker group as it should… however, when the record player is not in use and I try to play streaming music to the same speaker group, the line-in source from the record player will interrupt/override the streaming (and play nothing, since the record player is not in use). I have to re-click the streaming service source to get it to play again to the speaker group.It was a minor annoyance at first, but it happens enough that it is becoming a headache. I was wondering if anyone knows a way to fix this and still retain the autoplay/speaker group settings on the Sonos 5 for when I use the record player.

Hi!  I’m looking for recommended wired sub that match sonance outdoor speakers. I’ve a Sonos Amp wired to Outdoor Sonance Speakers in my living room so the sub doesn't necessarily have to be outdoor ready, plus I'm looking for an aesthetically pleasing solutionthe sub has to be hardwired because sometimes I connect my mixer and turntables to make DJ sets, otherwise I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Sonos Sub (I already have one)thanks in advance for any suggestion

everything was working great until the new update, now sound quality is crap. Sounds like I connect two cans together with string. I updated the speaker wire to 16 gauge and nothing. I called and they ran diagnostics and said nothing was wrong. Using Martin Logan Motion 2 speakers that were working great until about 3 weeks ago, when I get a notification to update. I’ve factory reset the amp and reset everything.

I have a exsiting Nuvo Grand Concerto system with 8 zones and each zone has a key pad controller.  Thought the Sonos amp had an RCA out on the unit, but I was wrong.  Looks like the Sonos Port is waht I need, but thought I would reach out and see if there as a way to connect the Amp to the Nuvo system that I am not seeing possible.

Hello,Sonos Connect stopped playing music last week. It will not play any music via Sonos Radio, Apple Music, or Line-in without skipping. I also have a Sonos Arc that does not have this issue. Has anyone else experienced software obsolescence on their Connect and had to replace it with the Port?

I have 4 Sonos Amp, Two are connected to a TV in my bedrooms, and other 2 are for background music in my living and kitchen.Can i use this setup to play multiroom?Can i play music without switching on TV?Can i Also integrate my Marantz to this setup for Multiroom? 

Some Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray Players have two HDMI outputs. Use one HDMI output to send video to the TV. Use the second output to send audio to a reciever/amp Does the Sonos Amp work by plugging the HDMI audio directly into the Amp?The reason I want to do this is to use the blu-ray player as a music transport (CD, DVD-AUDIO, SACD, Blu-Ray Audio) with the TV off?I do not want to use via the TV Arc port. (Please note I am aware that there is a Toslink to HDMI adapter for this, but the sound quality is reduced.)

Ok, here’s my conundrum.I’m purchasing the Sonance - MAG Series 6.1 Outdoor Streaming Sound System with the Sonos AMP. For my TV, I’m assuming I can straight from the AMP to the TV via HDMI and have sound and video. Correct?But, now for the tricky part, how do I go from the AMP to the projector while using an Apple TV? The projector has HDMI ports. Do I need an HDMI switch or Splitter? Or, is there a cleaner solution out there?Thanks!

I have a sonos playbar and a sonos beam. I want to send the signal from the tv to the soundbar that I select. I do not want to split the signal between both I want to choose which soundbar I send the sound source to. I have looked for a toslink switch (playbar does not have HDMI) that would be one in and then select via a remote either sound bar but I have not been able to find one. Everything I find the switch selects the input and sends it to a single output. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

I’m fully-committed to Sonos and very happy with the products for the most part. One thing that’s driving me nuts is how little sound comes out of the ceiling speakers when playing music.  I have Sonos brand ceiling speakers, AMP, Arc, Sub in my living room and when I play music, I can’t hear anything coming from the ceiling speakers. If I unpaid them, the sound is great.  They’re in Full Mode and cranked up to 15 in settings.  any suggestions?

I just wanted to add my experience to what has been posted before.  It took some time to get to the bottom of this and the previous post was a little short on detail.Inputting from Sonos Connect is relatively simple, using one of the RCA input socket pairs and relabelling the Input on the Denon to Sonos. It was the output that I struggled with and at one stage Denon staff told me that this was just not possible.  I have used the Zone 2 Pre Out RCA sockets and the Connect RCA input sockets as the connection route.   The problem which I had failed to detect was that the signal coming from the Pre Out is very weak.  This can be fixed using the following steps on the Sonos App:- Go into Settings/System/Products and the Room where the Connect is used. Within this there are a number of sub headings including Line In.Within Line In there is something called Source Level.   As the Denon acts as an AV component I used this setting which is Level 2 when in fact the signal is so weak it needs to

I know most of the people will say , get harmony remote , use the Denon app or even smart plug but i want to be able to turn on my sonos port via the sonos app and make my denon turn on and set it up to the right input (CD in my case) automatically . trying to convert 12V trigger (from sonos port) to IR command (to Denon receiver) seems to be challenging and the only project i saw requires you to be an engineer. I finally tried to look into HTTP commands and saw that Sonos support IFTTT but only as “That” part in the code and you can’t create any macros or scripts that will trigger if the Sonos port is on. Here is my question: Anyone here knows how to build raspberry pi server which will be able to “listen” to local network and once the sonos port turns on it will execute a simple HTTP command to turn on the Denon?

Is there a limit of NAS drives that can be connected to Sonos?

i have a sonos amp connected HDMI to my TV and line-in to my peloton. When using LFE to my 3rd party subwoofer, the line-in removes 75% of the bass which means i have to increase the gain to hear it at the same level when just using the sonos app. When using HDMI from the TV, or the sonos app, the subwoofer is way too loud which means each time I use the line in, i have to adjust the sub gain in the app up and then move it back down when watching TV or listening to music.Is this a known issue? How can i either set the equalizer unique to each input or have the bass output be the same across all inputs?

Recently bought amp and outdoor sonace speakers… Everything worked great for a few days and now only one speaker works.  If I resent and hold down the pairing button the second speaker will work for a song or 2 and then shuts off .  What could be going on?

Hi.  I’ve had a Sonos Connect for about 4 years and have never managed to make it do what I bought it for, which is to play my hifi separates (turntable, CD player and cassette player) through the Sonos speakers - so I’m trying to crack this finally. I was told this would work when I bought this, but have never managed to make it work.  Looking at web pages about this, everything focuses on enabling you to play  streaming services accessed via the Sonos app, through the Connect onto hifi speakers, whereas what I want to do is the opposite way round.  Things I read suggest this is possible but don’t ever explain how! So … is it possible to do this, and if so, can I connect them all into the Connect via my existing hifi amp (Yamaha A-S301)?  When I try connecting everything, I can’t make anything happen.  Part of the problem is I don’t understand how it helps to have the Sonos Connect listed as one of the parts of the overall Sonos system, since somehow what I need to happen is for the S

Hi - really hoping to get some help with setting up a Port as I’ve hit a brick wall…I have an existing ‘Home Theatre’ setup that includes an Arc and 2 x One SL’s acting as rears - more than happy with this as sound quality is great and the wife can cope with the small footprint!A few months ago I decided to finally pursue a long held passion for vinyl so following some research purchased a Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB and a Port - expensive option but I don’t really have the space for a Five and thought the Port would keep things tidy.I had assumed that I would be able to configure the Port to play the audio from the turntable (through the same two One SL’s) but for the life of me I cannot, despite many attempts and lots of internet research, workout how to connect the One SL’s to the Port. I’ve been able to get the Port setup okay and it appears under Products in the app but I cannot see any option to associate it with the One SL’s.Am I missing something obvious here or have I made an expensi

Today I upgraded from Sonos Connect to the new Sonos Port. I only unplugged the cables form Connect and plugged into Port (Audio In = TV, Audio Out = Bose sound system). With the connect it worked perfect, but my Bose plays no sound on the Port. Audio in (Line-in) from TV works because it plays on my Sonos Five. Only audio out does not work. Sonos customer support was not useful at all. Does anybody has an idea what the issue might be?

Hello, I’m quite new and don’t know much about speakers and matching impedances and whatnot.Just purchased a Sonos amp, 2 Kefs Ci200qs, and plan to buy a pair of 8ohms outdoor speakers as well.My idea/question is as follow:Can I connect the 4 speakers to 4 speaker wall plate, and, using banana plugs from the wire that comes from the AMP disconnect the pair I do not want to use at the time? I wouldn’t change the wiring on the back of the Amp, that would stay in parallel, but just disconnect from the wall plate when I just want 1 single pair to play? Would that work? When 1 pair disconnected will the impedance go back to 8ohms?Thank you for the help!

My husband has a Technics SL-1500 Direct Drive Player System in working condition that I would like to be able to add to our Sonos system.  I can’t comment on the sound, only that it powers on when I tried it.We have Sonos Amps and I know that the turntable would also need a pre-amp.  My question is if this vintage turntable is worth putting much money (possibly) into, along with the required pre-amp? I would like to refurbish it for nostalgic sake (Valentine’s gift), as long as the end result is a good audio product. Otherwise would it be wiser to purchase a new turntable with a built in pre-amp.Thanks for any help.   

I have ordered a Sonos Amp to use with stereo speakers that are rated for 150W at 6ohm.  The Amp is 187w at 6ohm.  Can I still use it with these speakers?

Thanks to advice in this community and others on the internet, I was able to easily connect my turntable (Fluance RT-80 with built-in pre-amp) to my existing Sonos home theatre system for an all-wireless solution.My Sonos system consists of a Playbar, two One speakers, and a Sub.  None of these have a line-in or RCA inputs for sound from the turntable.  Sonos states there are three solutions on its “How To Listen to Vinyl With Sonos” blog: you need a Five, Amp, or Port.  Each of these solutions is several hundred dollars - more than I wanted to spend.However, this ignores the Roam.  The small Bluetooth portable speaker is inexpensive (one-third the cost of a Five).  If I had a Bluetooth turntable, the Roam would have been all I needed.  However, my turntable does not have Bluetooth, so I needed to purchase a Bluetooth transmitter and a Stereo Mini to RCA Y-Audio Cable.  I chose the 1Mii ML301 Bluetooth Transmitter/Receiver, an inexpensive, elegant, compact, rechargeable (USB-C charging

I’d like to integrate my new bluetooth enabled turntable into my Sonos sound system-- which consists of two Sonos 1’s, the Beam, and the Sub (gen 3).  What is the easiest and and least expensive way to do that?  I cannot drop $400 on another Sonos device at this time.  I bought a refurbished Sony SRS-XB23 wireless speaker, hoping to pair it which my turntable (which it does) and then with the rest of my system, but I think the Sony is not compatible, right?

While I wait for a dedicated cable, is it possible to connect a Beosound Ouverture Heaphone Socket to a SONOS Play:5 Gen 2 Line–In socket. Or is the output too weak?
