i have a multi zone sonos wired system. i have speakers on the patio and would like a bit more power out there. it would be great if sonos would update the software so u can "channel" the power of amps to power one set of speakers .. thoughts ?

Has anyone heard about potential Sonos integration with Amazon Echo?

From what I've read, SONOS BRIDGE creates a dedicated mesh network for the system. Does this mean that every time I want to use the SONOS app on my iPhone I will need to change the WiFi network settings on my phone?

Hi All, I have a large garden and an Ethernet cable running underground from my main router/wifi location (#1) to a secondary wifi/router setup as a repeater (#2). The two locations do not have continuous wifi coverage. My main house fed of #1 has been running without issue. I've recently connected a new Sonos to #2. I tried normal wifi setup but it failed. I tried the Ethernet cable (plugged into #2) and it worked fine. I could successfully get the new Sonos speaker to group with the ones connected to #1. However-it only works when connected via Ethernet cable. When I try to connect via wifi on #2 it does not work. I presume because #2 is giving off a different wifi connection than #1. Does anyone know how to make both of my routers appear as if they are giving off the same wifi network-as I assume the new Sonos speaker would then work wirelessly? Hi there, I have a Pioneer VSX-527 receiver connected to my TV, speakers, a Mac mini, a Wii and an Apple TV. I use a Logitech Harmony to control most of this setup. I hate that I have to switch on the receiver and the Mac mini, and then run Spotify in order to stream Spotify in our home. (I could also Airplay it to the Apple TV, but I would still have to turn everything on, and I'd be dependant on a single mobile device.) I would like to be able to stream my Spotify music whenever I want, without first having to switch on stuff. But I need my receiver for connecting all my devices to my TV and my speakers. I would love to reuse these speakers for my music streaming, instead of having a separate system for this. So I'm thinking of placing a Sonos Connect:Amp between my receiver and my speakers. I could connect the speakers to the Connect:Amp and that would enable me to stream music over my existing speakers. But how can I connect the Pioneer

How do I get to the speech settings on my playbar? I've read support over and over and still can't find the now playing screen or the settings. Thanks

Hi, I'm new to Sonos and to audio setups in general, but I've been reading a lot of posts on here the last few days (thanks Buzz for everything you write here!), and have pieced together an outline of a plan, but I have some missing pieces and wanted to confirm the pieces I *think* I've settled on. Here's my situation: ----- I moved into a 'pre-wired' house and am determining how I want to set up. ----- I have a spot at the home theater room that has: ---------- 5 wires (2 strand) for the 5 in-ceiling speakers that make up the home theater grouping ---------- 3 wires (4 strand) that head out to volume control boxes in other rooms (let's assume they are impedance matching VC boxes, but I still have to check and confirm) --------------- These other rooms have their respective VC boxes and 2 speakers, 2 speakers, and 1 speaker (bathroom). What I want to do: ----- Get a receiver that can run the home theater 5 speak

Hello Everyone, i have recently bought a few SONOS Play's and i found out that google play has the option to directly play to sonus devices. As i am an Android developer myself, i wanted to integrate that function into my own apps (or more specifically into my Favorites Podcast Client) I have searched google and the forums for a developer libary used to do so, but i could not find one ? So my Question: Is there a libary to include into your own apps so that you can integrate your app with sonus ? If not, i think that would be a great thing, as it would spread compatibility with sonus way faster than Sonus could ever integrate all Services on their own. Are there plans for Sonos to go beyond the 32 device limitation? I'm looking to set up a large Sonos network of possibly 50+ components.

Here is what I have: LG TV Bose SoundTouch 120 Cable Xbox Roku Sonos Play:3 in living room Sonos Play:1 in bedroom #1 Sonos Play:1 in bedroom #2 Sonos Play:1 in bathroom Right now I have my cable, xbox, and roku all running straight to different inputs on my TV via HDMI, and sound running from the TV to the Bose via optical cable. We use the Sonos system separately of all this. What I'd like to be able to do is run the TV audio through Sonos in addition to my Bose, so for instance, if we're having a football party (or xbox/roku), we can all watch the game and hear it through the Bose soundbar, but if somebody goes to the bathroom or any other room they can still hear the game through the Sonos speakers. If I got a Sonos Connect, and connected the Connect to the Bose via the red/white cables, will this work the way I think it will? Or, can anyone think of another way?

can i use sonos without the internet?

I've used InSSIder to look at wireless signals near me and it only detects a SonosNet signal if the Sonos controller (CR100) is on. When the controller goes to sleep the SonosNet signal disappears off InSSIDer despite music still being played. Why doesn't InSSIDer pick up the SonosNet signal ? Is there another wifi detector that would see it ? Would something like Wi-Spy see it ?

Hi. I cant see what level (bps) of music quality SONOS is using then streaming from Spotify or Tidal. I have Sportify Premium and Tidal Hi-Fi subscribtion. Where to see/set? Can SONOS get access to Premium/Hi-Fi quality form these streaming services through SONOS app? Br. Kim

I'm interested in a Play1 but would prefer to have the speaker with an aux input so that it's more versatile. Is there a aux to Ethernet adapter that would allow me to plug aux input? A quick amazon search shows male aux to female Ethernet, so maybe with a few more adapters it could work.

I want to use the Play1 standalone when I travelling. Quite often in 'modern' hotels you can only access their wifi when not only password but also a username needs to be inserted. In this way I cannot setup the Play1 without additional equipment. I have quite often taken a spare wifi-router and mini-NAS with USB connection and mass storage with me to arrange access to music and get control (without being connected to the internet), but this is extra weight, and basically needs to be pre-configured before travelling, and therefore extra hassle. Is there a simpler way to get access to a USB stick with music and preferrably also Bluetooth? How about Arduino and/or Raspberry Pi, or are there better/easier devices to be used, hopefully with additional functionallity?

My SONOS set up includes 6 rooms (3 with stereo pairs) which also includes a CONNECT that is plugged directly into my router. I then run a line in to my TV to be able to listen to it on my SONOS system. (predominantly in the living room) A certain times the audio suffers the stuttering and drop outs when watching the TV (everything works perfectly when streaming music to any room) I have purchase a BOOST to sort this issue out once and for all, but I was wondering if anyone can let me if i need to plug both the BOOST & CONNECT into my router? Or does the BOOST go into the router and the CONNECT plugs into the BOOST.... thanks

I use my AV Reciever as a switch for all my devices (computer, Satellite, Cable TV, etc) and it is connected to the TV. Since yesterday I had a couple of speakers connected to the AV reciever. I want to get the sound of the different HDMI components to listent through the connect and the others sonos speakers. So far I only could do it using the Phones connection, using a jack/RCA cable, but it generate interferences and stop every now and then. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I bought sonos so I could set it up with my turntables and mixer system, doing away with my wired speakers and offering more flexibility. So far though I haven't had any joy in getting this correct. I did phone in a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't hear back. I have two technics 1210's connected to an Allen and Heath mixer which is then connected to a Cambridge Audio amp, which was then connected to two speakers. I have a Sonos Bridge, Sonos Connect and a play 5. If someone can help with instructions/diagrams on how this should be set up I would be delighted.

Hi, We have a Sonos setup that is split across two buildings. One building houses audio and networking equipment and building 2 is where the sonos speakers are playing. We have issues where the Sonos Connect sometimes isn't found and doesn't show up on the network. We use the Sonos connect for line-in functionality. Based on the research I've done, it looks like I might need to disable the wireless on the Connect and/or replace my switch with one that supports STP. I've attached a diagram for reference, just wanted to get some input before I purchase hardware. Thanks!

The 'simple & easy way' highlighted in Sonos official support site is simply not working for me (and I can't really grasp how it could...) https://sonos.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1072/kw/change%20wifi%20router While connected to the old router/wifi, I've changed the sonos app wifi to new connection and done same to my laptop (I seem to have to be on the old connection, otherwise the setup on sonos app just won't open setting etc). Then unplugged a device, connected the Ethernet cable to the new router and plugged in device. Quickly that device comes up on my sonos app on my laptop. That's where all job stops... In the support page it simply says unplug each device if they don't appear automatically... leave for 10 sec and plug in. However no job - beyond the one connected via Ethernet cable. Hope someone is able to assist...

Is there an option in the 6.4 controller software to remove a household? There used to be an option to Forget Current Sonos System from Settings -> Advanced Settings.

Hardly advanced but cannot see any means to do this automatically. I want to play from an existing queue, at a set time each day for an hour. The alarm would be the obvious tool but it does not allow playing from the existing queue. It has to be the existing queue as I want to continue playing from a very large playlist that is set on repeat and want to continue where it stopped on the previous day. Any bright ideas?

Did anyone try it? will it work? Sonos suggest to by pass the AV receiver with all components in to TV and Optical out to Play bar..... I am just trying to de-clutter my living room with the a play bar, sub & play 3 to replace my 5.1 speakers. and of course sync with my other sonos products around the house. will it works?
