For the folks running Unifi Gear and Sonos: -- Unifi released an update (currently in RC, should be production soon) that lets you switch the switches back to RSTP apply the new switch (v 4.0.55 or higher) and controller versions to your Unifi Gear, move the switches back to using RSTP and [img]https://uploads-eu-west-1.insided.com/sonos-en/attachment/18c6c79d-bffe-4b40-90b1-c425c8d6d835.png[/img] Modify the port settings on the LAN ports that connect to Sonos Gear, - turn off STP.. OK.. If this question has been answered before I apologize, and if you can point me to a link. After fighting and fighting with Comcast about my download speed to my Netgear Router 55MBPS, when I was paying for 150 Down, I finally bit the big one and went back to their CISCO router, Well Whatta you know 156MBPS down, Funny how that works. Anyway my issue is that I have a Boost, not sure if I should be plugging one of my 12 Sonos speakers directly into the new router first, then restarted them all, then putting the boost into the router. Things are playing but not all at the same time, dropouts etc. Just think I need to do a little something more here. I thank you for reading and for any advice you might offer. Scott.

Hi: The blog post for Sonos version 10.3 API update Posted on July 16, 2019 suggests that the code:[url=https://developer.sonos.com/reference/control-api/audioclip/]audioClip[/url] namespace —will work on the upcoming SYMFONISK table lamp with WiFi speaker and SYMFONISK WiFi bookshelf speaker. When we call the endpoint it does not return the audioclip capability for these speakers and when we try and send an audioclip to it it returns: An error occurred, there were no speakers with the custom sound capability in this group Thanks

Hello there Sonos Community, I'm encountering an issue with my PLAY:5 Gen.2 which is paired in stereo. Here's my setup: Left PLAY:5 lined in to a pre-amped turntable (RCA to RCA to 3.5mm) Right Play:5 lined in to my TV (3.5 to 3.5mm cable) Autoplay turned on with Level 5. Here's the situation: when I turn the TV on, both speakers play flawlessly. Touch controls on each speaker work . when I turn the turntable on, only the left PLAY:5 plays. Touch controls on each speaker work. What I've tried: swapping the line ins (connecting the turntable to the right PLAY:5) -> sound still only come from the left PLAY:5 changing the RCA to 3.5mm cable -> no effect This is mildly annoying. Anyone experienced this before? Is there a fix I haven't found? Many thanks! (If there is a community manager coming this way, diagnostic # 200351441).

I would like to play the sound from my TV (LG OLED) through my Sonos playbase and a digital headphone simulataneously. I have a toslink splitter which the sonos intermittently appears to recognise, but no sound output occurs. Any suggestions?

I attached a drive to a Linksys NSLU2 NAS device. I configured my mac to mount to it, then configured iTunes to move its library to it (using all the great resources from the web). After the overnight copy I thought I was good to go. My problem is in Sonos. I am using my ipad and trying to tell Sonos to use my music library (since “on this ipad” no longer works) but for the life of me I cannot figure out the pathname! No matter what I try the “next” box on the sonos setup page stays gray ... I can’t even get it to try (as I guess). Anyone have any ideas?

I have a large home with a mix of: Play 1, Play 3, Play 5, Connect, ConnectAmps, Subs and a Soundbar across nine zones. I also have a Unifi network comprised of 7 access points, two switches, and a firewall. My logical network topology includes multiple VLANs, SSIDs, and IP subnets. It's taken a lot of work to get things rolling with IGMP proxying, tweaking firewall rules, and routing. However, I have it mostly working. My main issue now is with somewhat frequent dropouts. I live out in the country and there is practically zero competition for air time in the 802.11 space. Sorry for the eye chart, but here's what my matrix looks like: My questions: The second row down (the first red square) is a ConnectAmp that is plugged directly into my root switch. Why is it red? The connection is hardwired. With 7 APs, my wifi coverage is ridiculously good. Is there a way that I can disable the ad hoc SonosNet network and just have everything connect via a combination of my Unifi wifi netwo

Hi everyone. I have had ongoing issues with my Sonos devices. Every month or so, my LAN ports are all taken out for a few minutes before fixing themselves. I have been using this great community and found it could have been a broadcast storm causing the issues. I have turned off wifi on one of my players and so far so good. I'll have to wait and see if it works in the long term, but I feel confident. Part of the issue, I think, is I have had two switches between two players. They are unmanaged very simple D-Link GO-SW-5G switches. I checked with D-Link who have told me they would block STP BDPU packets. I then looked at TP-Link SG105 switches and TP-Link told me they would also block STP BDPU packets. I did read that most switches would pass through these packets. So if looking for a switch that would pass all packets through, what should I look for? Or any models you could recommend? Thank you in advance.

Alright I have 4 Sonos Amp. I have 2 Amps for my outdoor TV. One of my amps is being used as my surround sound. My family and friends love to sing karaoke and we just look for the karaoke version on YouTube through our Apple TV. I just bought a Yamaha AG06 3 channel mixer, BLX88 Shure Wireless Microphone Receiver with 2 Wireless SM58. I am planning on connecting the mixer to the line in option to the amp connected to my TV through HDMI ARC. And I would like to know if this set-up will work. Also are there going to be an issues? If there is, is there anything I can do to fix it. I'm trying to avoid have a huge PA system. I have my Sonos Amp connected to Polk Atrium 6. I'm making everything look very simple. I hate dealing with issues, not a very good when it comes to tech. I have a family member do all the install. And I currently like the setup we have it's amazing for movies and music now we want to add the karaoke completely the setup.

I'm using a gigaspire blast router (with 5G radio turned off) to connect to fiber Internet. Previously using Asus RT-66U to connect a One and a Play:1 successfully. Now cannot connect wirelessly OR wired to either. Pixel 3 app gives "Speaker not found". Appreciate suggestions

After years of resistance, I now have a TV in the patio dedicated to music videos, to be played there and streamed to other Sonos zones indoors. I am seeing the group break up often, even where all the concerned Sonos units have solid green signal strengths back to Boost. Line is set to uncompressed; both compressed and the choosing the Airplay device trick does not seem to work; the latter does not fix the lip sync problem caused by the former. The TV is connected to a Connect in the patio, which is used to initiate a group with the 2 other zones indoors, which are also closer to the Boost than the patio Connect. Often, and usually when I choose to change the video being played, these two drop while remaining as a group, leaving the patio Connect playing on its own. When I add the Connect back to these groups, play resumes on all three zones, and, I suspect, in a more stable manner. Any ideas as to solutions? We have Sonos in our workplace. We have 4 connects wired to an amp feeding multiple speakers. We have 6 Play:1's, and 3 boosts. We have taken all devices off the wired network and only have the Boosts wired with everything on Sonosnet. The noise level is terrible but we have gotten things stabilized minus a connect which is 3 feet away from a boost. It keeps dropping off completely, or saying list connection to Apple or spotify or whatever. Or it will state there is insufficient network speed to maintain playback. We have a 200 MB DIA circuit. The boosts are plugged into cisco switches with the Guard turned off on the 3 ports. This is becoming a job to maintain music playing at our workplace and a constant area of irritation. Hey There, I'm looking to get my Turntables to work with my Sonos connect. Currently, I have 2 turntables plugged into a mixer, and then my mixer plugs into my tuner that work with my home speakers. I have my Sonos Connect plugged into my Tuner, so I can hear music (via the Sonos app) on my home speakers and my Sonos Speakers, but I'm wondering if there's a way I can get both turntables to also play on my Sonos Speakers? I've recently moved homes and am trying to get my Sonos setup more reliable. 4000 sq.ft. house with one connect:amp, a newer amp, one connect, 3 play:1's and a play:3. Was hard wiring as much as possible into my LAN, but found that Sonos and Ubiquiti can be a bit troublesome to setup. Based on feedback, when to full Sonosnet setup with a boost the only item connected/hardwired to a UB managed switch. Results are definitely better, but i still get drop outs especially when connecting more than 3 speakers, etc. my question is that if adding an additional Boost might help. 3 floors... i have the new AMP on the top floor, the boost on the middle floor, and am thinking about adding another boost on the lower floor (where the connect:amp is). will this help at all?

We would like to offer Sonos to guests at our AirBnB. Is there a way to allow them control of the Connect: Amp, Playbar music services, but not have access to the system settings?

My tv currently only has two HDMI ports, one being HDMI-Arc. I bought a switch because I needed at least 3. I have tried to read different posts that I could about this particular scenario that others may be experiencing, but could find no solution. The different combinations I've tried have given no luck. Every time i try to set up my tv again it says there's no signal for the HDMI-arc. I have tried with leaving the Sonos directly into my tv and Arc port, but sound won't come out of Sonos, due to my switch interrupting it. I have tried my Sonos hooked into my switch, while my switch is hooked up to the Arc port on my tv. Hi! There is a huge barrier, which we cannot avoid when we trying to set up ours new Sonos system with network environment Cisco. For the first time set up you need to receive Broadcast Handshake from Sonos speaker on your mobile device with Sonos app. But the WLC blocks broadcast from the wired side to the wireless device, and "Broadcast Forwarding: Enabled" in "Controller->General" doesn't help. When we are making first-time configuration of Sonos trough the different Wi-Fi (not Cisco WLC) and create new Sonos system it works properly independently which of the wifi networks uses. I recently moved to a new, larger home and started from scratch. I purchased the 3-node Linksys Velop system for Wifi coverage and have 5 Sonos units. I have seemingly very good Wifi coverage with all typical devices. I have had issues with the speakers not showing up occasionally in the controller app. When they do show up, I still have skipping of songs in the middle of them, etc. It will occasionally all work perfectly, then at times have trouble. I connected one of the speakers to one of the Velop nodes, but don't know if this really helps. I use Amazon Music, Apple Music, TuneIn Radio I hoped I wouldn't need a BOOST setup with the fancy, new, expensive Wifi system... Questions are: does connecting a single speaker to the node via Ethernet change how the other units work at all? Other tips/tricks? I've changed the channel from 1 to 6 without much change, will try 11 next... Should I just eat it and buy the BOOST?

Hi! Are there any known issues regarding iOS 13 beta 6? Today, the previously configured Apple music service claimed that it needs to be re-authorized. When i try to do so, I repeatedly end up with a message-box saying "we've ran into a problem. try again". I tried deleting the previously configured Apple music service, and re-add it afterwards, but unfortunately, that didn't work out. I know that beta versions of iOS are not supported with the Sonos app, but maybe there's a way to work around this issue that someone is aware of? I'm really enjoying using Roon together with Sonos. The main reason being being able to use the convolution filter option in Roon in which I've loaded a filter correcting my room "issues". I understand this is would be an advanced option, but I would really like if the Sonos app would add a feature to load convolution filters like Roon does. In that way also other inputs (TV) will be equalised.

Hello, We operate a small hotel.... with an aging in-cieling speaker system that basically plays from a 3.5mm cable at this point. We'd like to replace the amps with Sonos Amps... but am wondering how this would work from a guest perspective. Ideally, we'd be placing a tablet in the room (potentially with HomeSeer locked on it), but would like the flexibility for a guest to be able to connect to the wifi with their own device, and play music off of it, using whatever their preferred streaming service is. This is NOT a Sonos question; but I don't haunt other fora, and there may be some enthusiasts here that have an answer, hence I am seeing if I can get some advice here. I have a NAD amp of 2012 make, that has an amber light when on standby. When the on button is pressed, it takes a few seconds for the amber to turn green, and for the amp to play. All this, in silence. The fault I am seeing now is this: the light turns to green, and after a few seconds reverts to amber, with a very loud pop from the speakers. Obviously, the amp does not play then. Also, sometimes, this does not happen; the amp performs the way it always has. Questions therefore: What could be happening? What is the fix? Until the fix is in place, any risk in playing the amp, given that the speakers will pop for every failed attempt? Thanks for any insights.
