Problem:Almost daily, my surrounds/sub all disconnect from the Arc Ultra and stop playing sound (thought he Arc continues working as expected). When this occurs, the app shows "Needs attention" for the Arc Ultra. Power cycling the Arc Ultra immediately resolves the problem for 24-48 hours.Setup: Soundbar: Arc Ultra (connected via Wi-fi) Surrounds: 2x Symfonisk Bookshelf Gen 2 surrounds Sub: Sub Mini Routers: Asus AX86U Pro + AX58U AiMesh Node Other Sonos speakers in the house use SonosNet via a single Symfonisk lamp that is wired to the router (does SonosNet play any part for the surrounds/sub in this setup?) Things I've Already Tried: Various AiMesh binding options Disabling DFS channels on 5 GHz Setting router 5 GHz control channel to static value Disabling automatic Sonos firmware updates (on the theory that the update process resulted in the disconnect) All the standard Asus Wi-fi tweaks to improve compatibility with Sonos (Airtime Fairness, beamforming, etc.) Rep

Hi,I’ve seen this question has been asked couple of times but didn’t find any answer which would resolve the issue.My current setup is quite old Sony Bravia KD55XD8005 with ARC port, Sky Q 2TB UHD box and Arc Ultra.Sometimes when I change channels on Sky or starting a movie, sound would drop and I need to switch back, or hit pause/resume, or unplug/plug HDMI cable to get the sound back.I notice this happens when audio output is changing as some channels are with Dolby Digital 5.1, some are Dolby Digital 2.0 and most movies are Dolby Atmos. I’ve been speaking and Sonos support and they suggest to replace both HDMI cables (from Sky to TV and from TV to Arc Ultra) but I don’t think this is the issue because I’m using original cables and as I said, it only happens when audio output is changing.It's also worth mentioning that I had same setup with Sonos Arc (before upgrading to Arc Ultra) and didn’t have any issues with it. So I’m thinking it’s something to do with Arc Ultra rather than cab

So, seems other people have had the same issues. Trying to log into my app and control my system. I’d like to play my music. App keeps asking to log into. Then says it wants to connect to the website to log into. When I do it takes me to their store not my account. Going back to app it asks me to sign in. I have existing devices but they don’t all show and asks me again to sign in. Yet the app also shows I’m signed in. Every time I try to sign out it’s jumps to an error and timed out pop up. Just keeps sending me in circles. The Sonos app has been having major problems for years now. There’s simply no excuse any longer for this mess. This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues connecting and maintaining connections. Last time I spent 3-4 hours trying to connect my system. Your speakers sound good. But if you can’t connect they are absolutely worthless. 1000’s of dollars invested in your system and your app is S***. Sick and tired of it. I’m selling everything. 

I would like to have a feat request for beam gen 2 and Era 100 as surrounds to support true play (quick tune) as per here   Thanks!

I put a DVD on last week and the sound coming out of the Playbar is fantastic [as an aside i have a Beam attached to the tv in the other room and the Playbar sounds so much better] I then tried to add in the two Play 1 [set up in stereo mode in the kitchen] speakers I have to the Playbar so i could continue hearing the soundtrack to the dvd whilst cooking in the kitchen. However the sound on the playbar continued fine but the Play 1’s kept dropping the sound every few seconds  I tested it by changing the sound to my Sonos Roam - unticked the Play 1 and ticked the Sonos Roam Same effect - sound dropping from the roam but the playbar held the sound no problem  can anyone tell me what is happening here ?

Can I use Sonos Connect to use with my old HiFi Stereo Amplifier & pair of speakers without using any other Sonos Speakers ?  

Hi! I purchased an Era 100 to line-in for my Audio Technica turntable. I also bought the Sonos USB-C to RCA (3.5) adaptor. Furthermore, I bought a headphone-to-RCA 3.5 (female and male) connector piece off amazon. I tried connecting the Sonos connector to the RCA connector I bought online and the pieces fit together but they are “loose” and no music is playing through the Era 100. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have updated the app and system as well.

My sonos arc doesn’t produce sound when I turn on my setup of epson projector connecting sonos through an audio extractor automatically. It works sometimes when I turn off sonos completely from power and turn back on and setup again through firestick but sometimes that doesn’t work either. Looking for suggestions on how to fix this. Please advice. Thanks. 

Ordered 2 Eras 100 to replace back speakers in my system. Never got order confirmation, called support and got it, but order never shipped, called again, was promised that my issue will be resolved by today, and I will get a call from the manager. Obviously, none called or cared. It’s a really bad experience. If you can, avoid ordering from Sonos directly, as this is a s*** show.I had some issues with the app, some Arc issues down the road, and now I need to add order issues to the list. I don’t think that a new CEO will bring a change to this “we don’t care” culture of Sonos.

If I clear my Recently Played entries (to avoid issues with old data) and play something from my Favorites, an Amazon Station, it plays with no problem. My goodness add ing music so that Sonos can play it is NASTYThe last time I saw something this complex was when the OS was Unix 5.4.Is Sonos really this bad?A way to be able to play music on music speakers is really really complex, I have a large (ish) library collected over decades.And Sonos a Music Speaker company really does not want users to well play music.It has taken several hours to figure out how to just point the MacOS Sonos app at the local Music folder.Wow these developers weren’t on drugs, which is what I assumed, they are vindictive, nasty people who hate people who like music, their reason d’être is to punish people and to discourage people.Never have I encountered such anti user programming, some ideas for improvement, the path to the library must be in hexadecimal using java syntax.Come guys there is so much more potential to hate on your customer base.Keep trying you will get there!!The question is what more can you put into your product to demonstrate your hate for t

How do I switch internet services on my Sonos system?

Hello!Just bought Arc Ultra and hit a problem, probably, with a broken speaker, producing crackling sound at a certain frequencies on the right side. I've asked Sonos Support and they have, after a long conversation, escalated the issue higher to some technical team. It's been more than two weeks now, and I still got no response, however I have contacted support several times, they never were able to say when that technical team will contact me.The product is quite new, I should have 30 days free return warranty - maybe I should request returning the product instead of hoping on sonos support to do a warranty case?I have a case number, but cannot do anything to check its status. Kind of a weird situation, especially considering that the product already came defective to me.What should I do?The Arc Ultra was bought as a part of a TV bundle with two era 100s, they work fine. Will I be able to return just Arc alone?Any help is appreciated,Best regards,Alexey.

one sonos5 gen 1st plays, but there is a ticking sound at the same time and it disrupts playback 

My Sonos multi-room music distribution system is somewhat dated, but working perfectly well. I have just bought a new Windows 11 PC and I want to run Sonos from the music library on this new device. I have shared the library on the network, but the Sonos controller [on my iPhone] will not acknowledge it and will not update the software - It says a couple of my Sonos components are “incompatible...” I don’t want anything new; I just want to continue using my Sonos system as I always have - Can anyone help me?Thanks, Geof Ashton

Just curious to hear if folks here use Trueplay or turn it off?Every situation is different for every room, every person’s ears. But for me, I’ve come to turn Trueplay off as it seems be hindrance to sound quality than tuning and keeping it. Night and day difference. I might change mind later. But sounds more detailed and full with no Trueplay for me.Anyone else find the sound much better with or without Trueplay? 

Hi, I am unable to paid samsung solar remote to my Sonos playbar. I already went to settings on TV and added the remote as universal remote with the Sonos system. But still I cannot control the volume. It seems remote is working on bkuetooth mode and not IR mode. Not sure how to switch to IR mode. Please help. Kind Regards

 Just purchased an Era 300.  It plays streaming services, but will not play my local library.  The four other zones play the local library just fine.  If I play from another zone then add the new 300 it plays local library.  If I try to play the local library with only the new 300 it fails.   A reboot did nothing.  All speakers are on the same network.   

Hello everyone,I received a new Arc Ultra yesterday, and after setting it up, I hear a crackling sound in the high frequencies, particularly with piano music but also with some voices in movies. It's not just necessarily harsh (which might be down to my interpretation) but there's also a kind of crackle mixed in, instead of the tones being pure.Is this a known issue? I can't find anything about it on this forum and I'd like to do some troubleshooting before I call Sonos directly.Cheers!

Setup:Samsung UHDTV Series 6800Sonos Arc UltraSonos Era 100 Sonos Sun 4.0Connect to arc HDMI ( earc connection)Having difficulty keep TV connected to Arc Ultra. If TV if off for a while when turned back on has difficulty connecting. Can anyone recommend settings. I hate to buy a new TV as this one isnt that old.

I have a Sonos Beam 2 which I want to connect to a Samsung Frame TV which uses a separate control box for all connections. This control box is 15.meters from the TV and Sonos. We have tried to connect the Sonos to the control box across CAT5E/CAT6 cabling with an HDMI extender at each end to enable the HDMI inputs into the Sonos and Samsung control box. The problem is the Sonos is now flashing white and orange and sound volume is limited to level 15. Can anyone suggest a way to resolve this problem?

Hi,I have a Sonos Ray and Samsung UE32F6000F, without optical port and have purchased the Sonos HDMI to Optical adapter.I have switched the “eArc” setting on in the menu and connected the HDMI port to the one labelled eArc on the back of the TV.I am unable to get the two to connect using the Sonos app and nor does the TV recognise a speaker has been connected.I have noticed the optical cable end does not glow red when connected to any device (the TV, a laptop etc). I have also tried 3 other HDMI cables.Any ideas/tips?Thanks
