Can the WiFi radio on the ace ultra be turned off if not in use?

I have noticed two problems with Sonos and Apple lately.  These problems have been seen on a relatively new imac and a mac air. The problems are: open sonos from dock and it just sites. i got to finder and its not responding. close out and send report to apple. when it does open at times comes up with can’t find your system - check firewall. close out of sonos re-open immediately and no issues.i do wonder if the two are related but unsure.

I’ve added YouTube music to my list of services on Sonos. I have playlists and liked songs but nothing shows up on the Sonos app under YouTube music, says no playlist found. .. thinking I’m missing a step. If I go directly to YouTube music on iPad, iPhone, or tv.. they show up.The YouTube page on Sonos is pretty much zero.. anyone use this music source on the Sonos app? Pic if what I get.

Yesterday ABC Radio National stopped playing on Sonos 1. Did the standard checks… it will play on a standalone Sonos 2 speaker, and all other stations still play on both 1&2. I’ve tried using Sonos Radio and RadioApp (I know it was taken off TunedIn a while back).  when i try through SonosRadio nothing happens, when i try through RadioApp it gives the ‘unable to play/connection is lost’ message - but i can still play other radio stations.

My speakers don’t seem to be loud enough

Hello,I have 2 questions, but related I suppose :I wanted to re index my local library, but my Sonos windows app does not seem to work anymore. I tried to upgrade it but it is nowhere to be seen on the Sonos web site, is it being deprecated ? I realized there now was a web app, but it does not seem to allow library re-indexing.So bottom line, how can I now re-index my local library ?Thanks

J’ai acheté un ensemble arc ultra et le caisson sub 4 et pas moyen d’appairer les deux! Que faire? Quelqu’un a-t-il déjà eu ce problème et si oui comment a-t-il été résolu???merci d’avance pour vos réponses

Since installing the MacOS Golden Gate Beta, the Sonos app will not find the system.Firewall is off, so the only help in the Sonos app about that is of no effect.I know the app is vintage anyway, but has anyone worked out how to get out working?I know everyone will say use the web app, but it’s crap. I want the app and its native experience with notifications etc.

The speakers ping at higher volume. Definitely over priced...

I have been using Sonos for over 10 years mainly hassle free, but I have just moved from the S1 to S2 because of getting new hardware an now all my Compilation albums are showing as single tracks in my library. I see from posts, this was a problem before but can't understand why this has happened now?I am using the latest app build and my system is set up to auto update.

The search results returned within the Android app should behave as they do in the desktop app and return ‘Album Artist’ within the Artists results for compilations...Any compilation albums have the ‘Album Artist’ value effectivly excluded from Artist search results in the App. This is new behaviour for the app since the ‘May 2024’ release. Prior to this behaviour was correct. It remains correct in the Desktop app.Details: On searching for ‘Various’/’Various Artists’ the Windows desktop application it, correctly, does what it always has done and returns ‘Varions Artists’ in the ‘Artists’ search results:  However, when the same search is performed from the Android app there are no results under ‘Artists’: All other results (Albums/Songs/Composers ect.) are consistent & correct across both Android and Winsows apps.Albums are correctly tagged:Capitalisation, varying index grouping between album artist/compilation/both options or removing the ‘Compilation’ tag has no impact on the beha

Google Assistant timers on Beam are created and count down correctly but make no completion sound. Google Assistant alarms on the same Beam sound normally. Issue persists after removing and re-adding Google Assistant. Is there a bug? It was working fine until a few weeks ago, I haven’t touched any settings.

Had same issue with Sonos as it starts with wrong room. Since there seems to be no option to assign a room as default,  I solved this issue with the next solution. Rename the room you want to be the default room by adding a 1 as prefix.  For example 'Living room' becomes '1 Living Room'. Do the same for your other rooms by using a 2, a 3 and so on. When finished close and re-open the app and notice the room that starts with 1 is now your default room. It works fine for me!

FYIIn the past if a device was powered down or removed the Sonos app (iOS/Android) would still show the device for a few days then it would disappear. That was expected behavior.I have a special case wherein I have three (3) stereo pairs of portables  (Move 2, Roam 2 and Play). I can only have one set active on my network at a given time; otherwise I’d exceed the max number of 32 devices. Therefore when not being used the other two sets are powered down. If not approaching 32 devices (or you have no portables) you may not be aware of the behavior I’m about to describe:The app now shows powered down  devices continuously. That’s not a bad thing...in fact I like it.  Devices removed still remain visible but disappear after a while (3-5 days)You won’t find any documentation (or at least I can’t) on this behavior. Therefore, I hesitate to call it a feature…just (IMHO) an additional benefit. PSIf someone finds the above documented somewhere; please add it to this thread.

How do I connect a new remote to the sonos

Our house had a millisecond power outage midday and most Sonos products came back online after the router reset but Beam only plays tv audio via HDMI ARC and does not show up as connected in the SONOS phone app. I followed all SONOS help articles but the issue did not reconnect the Beam and there  is no article for how to reboot the Beam. I did all the power off protocols. Any suggestions?

I have been unable to lock Sonos settings for my Play Portable on iPhone 17 Pro MaxiOS 26.6 Sonos S2: 87.01.7 Version: 18.6 (build 96.0-79160)The settings are:Alexa Wake Word Bluetooth Idle Auto-Discount Battery Saver WiFi Power SaveI have been able to lock the above settings using my Android TabletAndroid:16 Sonos S2: 87.01.8 Version: 96.0-7960Ironically when doing so on my Android Tablet they appear as set on my iPhone. Incidentally, the Alexa Wake Word works as well. There is definitely an issue with Sonos running in iOS at least in my region. Another member in the UK indicated that their settings were working in iOS; although I don’t know which version.I have submitted Sonos diagnostics for iOS and Android

Hundreds of millions of people who own (or would buy) Sonos cannot talk to it in their own language. We are asking Sonos to add a public, opt-in, locally-authenticated API that streams post-wake-word microphone audio to software on the user's own network. With access to that audio, the community and third parties can pair the mic with modern, open speech-to-text engines that already understand a hundred-plus languages and dialects -- and pl

For a good long time Apple Music, Dolby Atmos played with no errors through my Arc-Sub3-ERA 300s.  Today I’m starting to get occasional dropouts or skips to the next track.  Was using a different app to display what was playing so by the time I opened Sonos the error showing disappeared.  I’ll keep an eye out.I know I should do diagnostics @ call which I will do during the week.  Was just wondering if anyone else noticed a degradation in the performance of Dolby Atmos using Apple Music.

I mostly use tidal as my fav streaming service. In tidal I can create a playlist that then will appear in my sonos app (Android). When in sonos if I search for a song I can add it to a sonos playlist... Great! But then where are my sonos playlists? I don't see any "my sonos" button in my home screen. The only way I can see my playlists is by adding a song to them and pressing on the notification I see among the lines of "the song has been added to 'your playlist'".

Ordered on 09/02/26. I received tracking numbers for both on 09/25/26. Barring any delays they should arrive on 09/29/26 as scheduled.Yippeeeee !!!

Thank you all for your input in the community. I have an older Sonos soundbar with an optal icconnection cable, but my new TV lacks the port to support it—is there any way I can still use the soundbar?

Does anyone know when the new sonos ace ultra are being shipped out, am i right in thinking the 29th or has anyone received there’s early kind regards
