Soundbar play with different eq from pc vs nas server

Question

My Soundbar play music with different eq from PC vs NAS. I prepare my songs with PC using as EQ control optical cable to Soundbar. I set my preferences in tonality but when play saved songs from NAS via home wifi connection, music have less high frequency. Why is this difference? Thank you.

Two different ‘inputs’. One, via optical, uses the EQ settings as a filter, the other is direct access to the music digital data. The Sonos direct connection to the NAS doesn’t touch your EQ settings. You’d need to save the EQ settings as data embedded in the digital data for them to be the same.
