What to get

Thinking of getting a Gen 3 Sub for Beam and have some questions before purchase please: I enjoy clean, accurate, punchy bass. Don't like boomy bass, shaking the walls and rattling chest. I also want to not make a lot of noise. If I keep the bass very very low or even at minus EQ would this be a waste of money? Will the added weight and impact of sub allow me to enjoy lower volumes more? Or on the contrary I would need to crank volume heigher when sub is added? I know Sub can be placed nearly anywhere, but what about on top a small plastic table? What about under it (legs on all four sides of sub). What about difference between placing sub in the ordinary fashion and putting it flat on floor? Thanks everyone.

Hi everyone,I’m ready to pull the trigger on a surround set (arc + sub + One SL x2), however I’d like to be able to connect my turntable to the system (I’m currently using an old 2000s home theater for it so I would get rid of everything, speaker and cd player/receiver).My understanding after reading on this is that adding a Port to the mix would allow me to play my turntable on all Sonos speakers in the house (I have a symfonik in the kitchen), except for the two One SLs used for surround, is that the case?Is there a way to use the One SLs for surround in a movie situation and switch it to stereo for music situation?Just want to make sure I get it right before pulling the trigger. Thanks! 

Hi guys from UK, I have a two Play 1 which is eligible for upgrade with 15% off for new sonos product.Then a playbar eligible for upgrade with 15% off for new sonos product.Sonos said I am entitled for 30percent discount of any sonos product on my next purchase.If I will avail the upgrade and use the 30percent credit (which i am buying a sonos move) , I can still use my playbar and play1? They will not brick my speakers and will continue to used in S2 sonos app?Thank you. 

I’ve recently bought a turntable which has a wired output and Bluetooth and built in pre-amp. I don’t have a separate amp so I am currently using it with a Bluetooth speaker.  However ideally I’d like to be able to play it through my Sonos system. I have been researching options, but looking for help / advice!   Sonos Play 5 - could connect directly to the turntable and presumably it would be able to play out of my other existing Sonos speakers at the same time.  Sonos Move - I could connect via Bluetooth to my turntable, however I am not sure if it would play out of the other Sonos speakers at the same time? As I would have to toggle it onto Bluetooth, presumably this effective disconnects it from the wider system?  Sonos Amp - would make sense, but seems unnecessary for me - the Play 5 would work just as well for what i want and give me the advantage of another speaker Sonos Port - I cant understand this fully - would this only work for me if i had a separate amp to connect the turnt

I currently have a a Move and I’m weighing adding a 2nd Move to create a stereo Pair. The other option is to buy a new Sonos 5. Any one have any experience on how these 2 setups would compare?  Thanks,  Paul 

I bought my move for the garden, mainly for the weatherproofing, but also for the battery, as I didn’t want to run new power lines.I find that the single move is great, but, compared to my old set of UE booms ( i can buy 4 booms for the same price), the sound is not as fulfilling. When you get sound from 3 directions or 4, it really is literally more immersive.But the booms cut out at times, Bluetooth vs wifi is not a contest, hence the move.But one move, does not sound anywhere as good as two booms with a mega boom.I use one mega boom for bass, and this, with another two booms, has a sound that I prefer.I wanted to know how two Moves paired would sound, does anyone have any experience?

Hi!I was thinking of getting my boyfriend a Sonos beam for Christmas. I was going to recommend his family purchase other speakers for him to go with the beam. Do all Sonos speakers link together? The Sonos beam is going to be in our living room. I was hoping we could do smaller speakers for the kitchen to hear the game when cooking or playing music. Is there speakers you would recommend? Unfortunately I cannot afford the $1500 set of speakers so hoping to slowly just give him the Sonos as gifts over the years. 

Current set up are 2 x Ones in front of the sofa and Sub in the corner. Sounds very sweet listening to music- very happy indeed.If I buy the Beam and relocate the Ones behind me to create a surround-sound home theatre system, will music also play through the Beam and Ones at the same time ?I'm not sure why, but I'm concerned that surround sound music might prove distracting compared to the very nice listening experience I've got now. I would have considered the Arc, but reading the forums, by all accounts, music sounds better coming via the Beam. 

Hi Everyone,(Sorry for multiple questions, I am still learning about the Sonos & home theater systems in general)We recently moved into a new house and the house has been pre-wired for some ceiling speakers. However the ceiling speakers in the living room are right above where we are putting our couch(against the wall). Could these work for surround setup or will it not be as good and we should consider these for atmos down the line.If its decent for rear surround speakers, can I get a Sonos arc or player base and Sonos amp + 2 sonance ceiling speakers to work as rear surround? would a Sonos subwoofer make a diff in this setup?Also we do have couple of other rooms pre-wired for ceiling speakers, can I connect 2 other speakers to the same amp and configure it as such 1st zone to be Sonos arc + 2 ceiling speakers2nd zone to be 2 ceiling speakers in other roomand then switch zones using the app to play music in different rooms. I actually use a bridge and a connect with my Conrad-Johnson amp, CD player and wired speakers. Should I upgrade to Sonos port and boost? If I upgrade to Sonos port, do I need a bridge or a boost or is the port can be used without a bridge or a boost?

I’m putting a Sunbbrite Tv in an outdoor cabana open to weather so it appears the arc or beam will not work to connect the TV to My Sonos system.   Is there a way to connect the Tv to Sonos and what hardware is needed. Maybe the sunbrite sound bar to what device?  IAny help appreciated.  

My youngest child broke the lamp of my black Ikea Symfonisk   Is there any replacement part that I can purchase? I could not find it anywhere….   Is there any site for replacement parts? Many Thanks

Hello, do I need a full time wifi or Internet connection to use Sonos arc. I don't use streaming services alot. Mainly use satellite TV. I can afford Internet connection for occasional streaming and update of the sonos software but not full time Internet connection for a soundbar. Also do Wireless speakers need Internet connection. Hope by WiFi they mean local home network not necessarily connected to the Internet. 

I am looking to purchase the Sonos Move and I currently have a 15% discount through their upgrade process… but I am wanting to know if anyone thinks that it is worth waiting for Black Friday where there could be a better deal on the Move here in the UK?I have seen that in the US there was $100 off but I am not sure if there will be something similar in the UK? 

Hello,I Have a PlayBase in my Current Home Theater system, I want to upgrade to Arc,i can see in my sonos account tat i can upgrade for 15%.. i dont understand the concept.if i want to buy the Arc, Sonos will take my Playbase only for 15% from the total cost of Arc? 

My sub didn’t seem to have the pads in the box for laying on its side and it vibrates where I want to put it. can Sonos send me some?If they won’t (or I never manage to get an email to them then what material should I buy to use as pads?(this is supposed to be an email to Sonos support but it appears whatever I try I end up here!!)

Hey, I have an exisitng non sonos sytem (turntable, amp, powered speakers). I have a sonso sub I would love to add to the system. Can i do this using the Port, or do I need to get the Amp? Shame to buy another amp just to add the Sub, when my current Amoplifier is amazing. Any way around this?

I have five Sonos Play:1's, a Port and a Boost. I recently bought a Sonos Move, but this was not compatible with my Play:1 resulting in my system getting meat up. Now I'm thinking nog upgrading my Sonos Play:1's to Sonos One Gen 2 in phases. Is the Sonos Play:1 compatible with the Sonos One Gen 2 under the S2 app?

HI, I have just purchased a new Sonos Arc from Curry’s in the UK - I have not bought it through the Sonos website.  I do not want to accept the upgrade offer nor receive the discount nor have I been informed that my purchase through Curry’s is affiliated to the upgrade programme. Where do I stand right now with my legacy device in this respect? 

Have Sonos Beam.  Need an additional speaker to place near my Dad who has hearing issues.   -Just like the Beam, need it to automatically come on when the TV is turned on  -Need it to stay connected to the TV and Beam  (he will NOT know how to reconnect or reset, etc)-If it’s volume can be adjusted independently of the TV/Beam when needed, that would be a plus but not a must-have.  will an Alexa, echo, Google, etc work or must it be a Sonos?   Thanks in advance for you feedback  

👋   Hi Everyone,I am considering replace two Sonos One with an Arc for a couple of reasons.  First, I am curious if it will sound better.  Second, it would work with my TV.Right now I have two Sonos One (paired in stereo, of course) connected to an Alexa to play music.  Separately, I have a cheap soundbar/woofer for my TV.  This is in my finished basement.  I’d love to merge both sound systems into one, while keeping the Alexa functionality.Thoughts?

I'm hoping to get into the Sonos ecosystem and can't seem to find much than conflicting or years old information. I want to set up Sonos 5.1 (Arc/Beam) but use the surround satellites as side surround or at least high surround.Reason is.... Hoping to use Amp/Connect as rear to hook up existing dumb speakers as rear surround at ear level.  I can't run wires to sides and want to clean up rear wires running under rug and instead have a wireless device in back Is it possible that Sonos can send rear surround signal to the Amp (left/right wired rear) and then use Sonos Ones as side surround? Any help would be appreciated
